GH’s Maurice Benard Welcomes Former TV Son, Bryan Craig to ‘State of Mind’

Photo: JPI

In an all new-episode of Maurice Benard’s (Sonny Corinthos) mental health You Tube series, State of Mind, the General Hospital star welcomes his former TV son, Bryan Craig (Ex-Morgan Corinthos, GH) for a revealing sit-down interview.

As daytime fans know, Craig played Sonny’s son who also suffered from bipolar disorder, the same as Sonny and the same as Benard has shared about his real-life struggles.

On State of Mind, Bryan talks about his life after General Hospital, dealing with PTSD and anxiety, while sharing insight into Morgan’s struggles in his GH storylines.

Craig was last seen on TV in his role as Javi on the ABC primetime soap, Grand Hotel.

Check out the conversation with these multi-Daytime Emmy winning actors below.

Now let us know, should GH bring back Bryan and resurrect Morgan? What did you think of the discussion here between Maurice and Bryan? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

I wish the stigma around mental health had eroded a long time ago. So many have suffered unnecessarily. Mr. Benard is doing a great service, as Patty Duke did, in enlightening us. Yes, I wish sexy Bryan Craig would return to GH. He’s a wonderful actor, though I often lost patience with Morgan. Even on his meds, he was his own worst enemy. But there’s always room for growth.

Guess you are getting your wish with Bryan Craig. As the saying goes,” Of All The Gin Joints In The World” and Nina coming this week, will be like old home week! Of course we know when he refers to “the blonde” he means Carley but guess he’ll have to settle for Nina. Hope she marries him and brings him back to P.C introducing him as her new husband. Stupid of course, but I hope something like that really happens, shutting Carley up for a while.

Guess you’ll get your wish soon, as the old Casablanca line goes,” Of All The Gin Joints In The World”, and also Nina arriving, whom Sonny will think is the blonde in his recent dreams, it should be getting closer to him recovering his memories, which will probably turn out to be a nightmare. Can’t wait!

Bryan Craig should be brought back to GH immediately to improve ratings! He is a fantastic talent! Pine Valley should replace the dismal lead-in of GMA3.

While I appreciate the affinity some here have for Bryan, there’s already too many Corinthi on the canvas. Heck, they barely show Kristina.

The character is probably going to return at some point, but now is not the time.

I think Bryan Craig should reprise his character Mirgan Corinthos.

In the latest promo, Drew (Cameron Mathison) looks to deliver that news to Sam (Kelly Monaco) and her new beau, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna).  Then, Anna (Finola Hughes) delivers Jason’s fate to Sonny (Maurice Benard) as food goes a-flying! Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson Share Disagreement with Each Other Over Vaccine Mandate; Will Continue ‘Stone Cold and the Jackal’ Shows In 2022

On the latest episode of their That’s Awesome podcast with Steve and Bradford, released over the Thanksgiving holiday, General Hospital’s Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) and Steve Burton (Ex-Jason Morgan) took some moments to address how Steve’s decision to not adhere to the ABC and GH Covid-19 vaccine mandate (which caused the two-time Daytime Emmy-winning star to be let go from the show) would affect their live shows, podcasts, content moving forward, as well as if it has caused a riff in their friendship.

When addressing listeners of the podcast, Anderson shared the the two would continue on with their projects, but that he disagreed with Burton’s decision to not follow the GH vaccine mandate.

Photo: Podcast One

Bradford expressed: “If you know us, and know are brand, if you will, it’s built on friendships, and like all friends, we have disagreements.  I disagree with Steve’s decision and he knows that. But over are years of friendships, we have had plenty of discussions about this and other topics, and sometimes we agree and sometimes we don’t, but at the end of the day we are still friends.”

Steve added: “We usually don’t get into decisive things on the show.  Look, I have a right to believe in what I want, and you have a right to believe in what you want, and that’s what makes this country great and we have never been about division.”  In addition, Steve was clear that he has not agreed to any interviews at this time on the subject of his exit, and that he is already moving on, sharing: “I am just grateful for my time at General Hospital and the people and the friendships I have made there, especially with the fans.  I have had an incredible life. Listen, I’m OK. I’m at peace. I ‘m moving forward and I am excited about it.  Like I said in my video, when one door closes, multiple doors open, and that’s what happened already.  I’ve gotten a lot of requests for interviews that I don’t want to do, because I don’t want division … that’s the bottom line.”

Look for Anderson and Burton to hit the road in 2022 and continue with their successful Stone Cold and the Jackal live comedy show and appearances.

What did you think about how Steve and Bradford addressed their disagreement on the vaccine mandate within the podcast? Will you be seeing Steve and Bradford live if they come to your town in 2022? Comment below.
