GH's Ron Carlivati and Kimberly McCullough on the decision to have Robin turn up ALIVE!

This week, General Hospital fans were in for a surprise, that many hoped was secretly in the works! We of course are talking about the key scenes where it is revealed that Dr. Robin Scorpio Drake is very much alive, and being drugged and kept captive somewhere! Now for the first time in the new issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, GH’s head writer, Ron Carlivati and actress, Kimberly McCullough (Robin) provide insight into why the decision was reached to keep Robin alive and kicking, and how it all came about!
Ron Carlivati related to SOD: “The first day I laid out (for GH) was the episode right after the explosion. I believe in the original version, you would see her death. There was talk that Patrick would attempt to operate and be unable to save her, and I felt strongly right away, that it was important that in the end, there would be hope that Robin could be alive – for a couple of reasons. First, just in the overall general landscape of daytime, with these shows going off the air and soap fans feeling so lost and disenfranchised and giving up hope for their shows, I wanted there to hope that this was not the end of Robin’s story. That was important, and whether the show stays on for one year or 50 years, I wanted to leave the door open that Robin is going to come back and get her happy ending at some point.

The reason that it was held was that we could milk the genuine emotion of her loss before you knew there’s a chance that she is still out there. We ended up having so much material (during Robin’s funeral) that five episodes became six so we could explore nearly every possible moment of emotion, and grief that any of the various characters would experience.”
Kimberly McCullough shared, “We had a conversation about it, me, Frank Valentini and Ron, before I even met them. Ron told me he wasn’t comfortable with Robin being “completely dead”. He thought it would be better for the show and the fans if Robin was out there somewhere, and they would love for me to come back someday if I could or wanted to, or God forbid, the show was canceled. They wanted to leave the door open for the good of the character, and I was absolutely fine with that.”
So soapers, it would seem that Ron Carlivati actually saved Robin from the grave! How do you feel about the ending of Robin’s current story? And Ron’s and Kimberly’s statements? It seems like a lot of thought went into preserving this legacy character, and we are all for that, especially in light of so many of our favorite characters not on your screens anymore due to the untimely cancellations of many daytime soaps over the last four years.

‘General Hospital’s’ Jonathan Bennett Receives 3 ‘Critics Choice Real TV Awards’ Nominations for Hallmark Series, ‘Finding Mr. Christmas’
Many things are coming up roses for Jonathan Bennett! On the heels of the news that he is set to debut this month in the role of Joe Fitzpatrick on General Hospital, who is rumored to be a new love interest for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), comes the news that Bennett’s reality series, Finding Mr. Christmas has received 3 nomination for the Critics Choice Real TV Awards.
Bennett’s Hallmark Channel series finds itself in tough competition alongside fellow nominees: RuPaul’s Drag Race (MTV), Squid Game: The Challenge (Netflix), Survivor 50 (CBS), Top Chef (Bravo) and The Traitors (Peacock). In addition, Jonathan himself is nominated for Best Show Host and the series participants as the Best Ensemble Cast in an Unscripted Series.
The Critics Choice Association (CCA) revealed the nominees for the eighth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards on Thursday, which recognize excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms. Winners will be announced online at CriticsChoice.com on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 9:00am PT/12:00pm ET.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”
In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.
It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.
Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?
On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.
As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.
Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.
BROTHERLY LOVE?
Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”
With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”
BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE
Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Reveals His Plan to Set Up Chase and Willow to Have an Affair
After the Wednesday, April 29 episode of General Hospital, it’s clear outside interference and other circumstances are set to blow Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) marriage sky high, as Michael (Rory Gibson) reveals his plans to entrap Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and use her relationship with Chase to do it!
In story, Michael dropped by unexpectedly to Carly’s (Laura Wright). A plotting Michael reveals his plan to nudge Willow and Chase into having an affair. Michael hopes it would create both a political and personal scandal, where Willow would lose her seat in congress. In the scenario, she would be having an affair with her ex-husband, while taking care of her supposed disabled husband, Drew (Cameron Mathison), who cannot speak and is confined to a wheelchair, which in turn will look horrible for Willow’s character.
Carly asked does he really want to destroy his cousin, Brook Lynn’s life in the process? Michael goes in on Chase’s holier than thou attitude, and says he is going to set-up the circumstances that would lead Chase and Willow to betray their spouses, and hit the sheets together. Michael swears to Carly what the two of them do is up to them, but he’s going to go on the offense with this.
MICHAEL HAS BACK-UP
Later, Jacinda (Paige Herschell) is talking with Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) at Crimson and how much she dislikes Willow because of what she has done to Michael. Just then, Michael shows up and tells Jacinda privately, he’s figured out a way to fight Willow. Looks like Jacinda might work with Michael to bring down Willow and use Chase as the person to do it!
At the hospital, Lucas (Van Hansis) tells Josslyn (Eden McCoy) that Carly is cheating on Jack, but he doesn’t know with who. Josslyn suddenly flashes back to the moment she found her mother harboring a fugitive, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), in her attic, and as figured out that her mother is sleeping with him. She heads out.

BRENNAN IS ABOUT TO LEARN ABOUT CARLY
Next thing you know, Josslyn has showed up inside Jack’s (Chris McKenna) hotel room at the Metro Court and when he enters his room, he is shocked to find her there. He lays into her for not keeping his distance and that Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) will have no problem killing her if he knows she’s WSB. Josslyn fires back that he is only concerned about that because his relationship with her mother depends on her being safe. But then, she lays the boom, and tells Jack, Well, you’re too late. You already lost her.”
LULU GETS A GLIMPSE OF CASSIUS’ TEMPER
In addition, Lulu (Alexa Havins) sees a different side of “Nathan.” Since she is unaware that the man before her is his twin, Cassius Fasion (Ryan Paevey), he tells her that Rocco (Finn Carr) blabbed that he shot Cullum to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), and now he thinks they should send him away to stop him from talking to everyone else. This concerns Lulu, who rails at Nathan for telling her what to do with her son and that she isn’t going to abandon him. With “Nathan’s” outburst at her on the matter, will she finally get a clue this is not the man she thinks it is?

They know what they are doing and have their audience wanting more and more just like they did on OLTL!! Totally loving the story and totally loving having some of #OLTL characters on GH!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE what Ron and Frank have brought to the show. I always loved GH as my FAV, but it’s even better now. It is must see TV, I feel like I just can’t miss it! Having the Ol characters on GH are awesome as well, they add so much flavor to the storylines. Keep up the good work -IT’S GREAT!!!!
yes OLTL was the best soap ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like seeing Michael Easton on GH.,.. What happen to Blair????????? His she coming back to Gh any time soon. I thought she was staying……..And Todd is in jail in Landview….But we all know Victor is alive…Will that ever be revealed on GH and todd & Victor together… Star is getting close to sonny’s son….Are they going to be a couple??????? Maybe not because of Sonny & Star thinks he shot out the tires of the car.. But it was Kate’s alter who did it…Keeping Robin was the right move…

I am so glad that they did this. Robin has been on the show since she was a little girl and all the emotions displayed after the explosion were incredible but it was so sad that after overcoming all her health issues that this would be the way she died. I would love it if Kimberly would/could come back for at least Maxie and Jason’s sakes, not to mention Patrick and Emma. What I do want to know is if not Robin, who was killed in the explosion?

Saving robin was the best decision for Ron to make and it was the right thing to do,THANKS RON,I hated the thought of robin being dead she has been a loved character for so long, She was just a 6 year old little girl when I fell in love with her and her adventures, Robin and Patricks love story was my favorite on general hospital ,she was so set on not falling for this jerk( when they first met )There were several times I didnt think they ever would get together,I hated his friendship with lisa I wish they never hit the sheets together ,I never liked anyone interfering with Robin and Patrick,But this fan is happy Robin Is alive and kicking and if she wants she can come back home to port charles .However ,I do want to know who has her and what there motive is in keeping her,and how the hell did she get out of that room.

I think most fans assumed that if Kimberly wanted to come back it would be discovered that Robin hadn’t died after all. However now we know for sure. Nice to know that a lot of thought went into what should happen. Meanwhile you can figure out how Robin got or was taken out of a lab with no way out except the door Patrick was in front of…..

Obviously I wrote the above post long before Heather came back. That still doesn’t explain how anyone got her out when the only door was locked. There was really no window of opportunity (no pun intended). Also just because Heather knows doesn’t mean she did it, unless that was revealed on today’s show which I haven’t watched yet. She was still in Ferncliff back then.
That was absolutely the right decision. A lot of soaps kill off legacy characters for no valid reasons just because their current portrayer decides to leave and it is a short-sighted mistake that will end up costing them overtime (see Y&r’s Colleen, GH’s Emily, etc…). Soap writers should always go for a “normal” exit if they can and if there is no way to explain the character leaving their loved ones, then a (explicitly fake) “fake death” is the way to go.
Soaps kill off too many characters that they later regret killing – and bringing them back from the dead rarely works as a story and ends up undermining soaps credibility.

I am not surprised. Frank did excellent work on OLTL. We got to see, again, those that we thought were dead. It is wonderful. Now whatever happens to GH Robin can be there. Thank you so much for what has been done to GH.

I feel that this is the recycled story of Tea Delgado Manning; only it is Robin that is alive now. I also feel that the D I D storyline is a recycled Viki/ Jessica storyline. We have been there and done that.
Life is full of recycled stories..give these guys the unbelievable credit they deserve! Writing a show that has been on for decades…five days a week is an extremely difficult task! So happy to have these two unbelievably talented writers at GH!
The DID story was set in motion way before the dynamic duo took control of the show. So if you are a dedicated watcher, you would have seen this long before now. I don’t know about the Tea story being recycled since I wasn’t a fan of OLTL.

I love the story line. That was totally unexpected as I thought Kimberly wanted to leave the show. Someone posted that they thought that the person holding her is Franco & that Jason is his twin. That would make a great story! Thanks for keeping GH alive! Please bring back Kirsten Storms, also. She is the only real Maxie!

Good Decision! A long time ago the writer at the time for Dallas said he should never have shot the scenes of Bobby’s death like maybe put him in a coma etc and he was right one year later Patrick Duffy wanted to come back and the dream turned out to be the downfall of Dallas, we don’t know that KM will not decide she wants that paycheck again. I am happy with it!!!

Glad to see Robin coming back, but now i am worried Sonny is going to do something to Nat and Liam to get back at John. This kate/connie story line is ridiculous all they did was copy Viki/Niki and Jess/Tess enough DID already
Sonny told Jason specifically that he DOES NOT go after family – that is now and has always been his moral code. As a matter of fact, he made it clear to Jason that he wants John’s family protected so that one of his enemies doesn’t go after them to frame Sonny for it. He then told Jason that he wants John “handled” – but again expressed not his family.
Also, as was stated above, the DID s/l was in place before RC came on board. As he said in an interview right here on this site, at first he didn’t want to do it at all. But the skill of the actress, and the slight difference in the story from the OLTL stories, convinced him to go forward with it.
What a guy that Sonny is!!!!!!! so he won’t go after the family, just kill John and leave Liam without a father and Nat without a husband,. That’s not hurting the family??? Sry, i just can’t see all the sympathy for Sonny.
I was responding to Trish’s fear that that Sonny would do something to Liam and Natalie. Family has always been off limits to Sonny – however, it was not to Anthony Zacharra, Alcazar, and many of Sonny’s other enemies. I understand how you might have misinterpreted my intentions, as you obviously have Sonny issues. With that logic taken further, anybody that has gone to prison is also detrimental to the family. However, I think that many OLTL fans (and believe me, I am a huge one) need to realize that OLTL is over, gone, cancelled. This is about General Hospital primarily, which is the surviving soap. Many diehard GH only fans resent anybody from Llanview coming to Port Charles – as are many AMC only fans as well. I think it’s an interesting experiment – and I think that it has worked really well so far – adding new life and new blood to both the GH characters and the OLTL characters.
wIsh they’d get the new characters off of GH!!! Bring back Lucky, Nicholas, Maxie (not the idiot new one) AND Robin. The other soaps are off the air due to their characters & story lines. Let’s not take GH down as well!!!
Jackie P: Are you aware that Jonathon Jackson and Kimberly McCullough CHOSE to leave GH. The new Maxie acts just like the old Maxie – you can tell she studied KS and even has her vocal inflections the same. KS HAD to leave the show because of a medical condition – she was not just arbitrarily replaced for the fun of it – and this poor girl who stepped up to the plate in the middle of a s/l because of the illness has been constantly beat up by ungrateful fans both on message boards and on twitter. Nicholas is the only one that was fired – and every actor/character’s decision you mentioned took place long before the new regime came to GH. Had you read Michael’s interview to which you’ve responded, you would see that it is only because of FV/RC that Robin turned out not to be dead afterall, giving hope to her fans.
Thank you so much, Ron Carllivati, for saving Robin on GH. I was hoping that somehow she would be saved and when they would not show her body to anyone – just said she was too badly burnt for I. D., I believed she was not dead. I figure they showed Robert some other person’s body that was not recognizable. It means a lot to GH soap fans that Kimberly/Robin was saved – because if GH is cancelled – and we pray it will NOT be – at least we will know that Robin is alive – somewhere – somehow – with someone!!!!!
My hubby and I were both completely surprised and totally thrilled that the door has been left open for her. It’d be nice if she was able to make appearances now and then. Good job, guys!
Years ago I watched General Hospital and just started watching it again since my soap One Life To Live went off . Some of the people from One Life To Live were going to be on it, therefore I began watching it. When I first looked at it Robin Had just supposedly died. I remember thinking SHE IS NOT DEAD. I have been a viewer of soaps for some 50-60 years and being that I know how people on soaps come back from the dead. Especially when there is no body to view. Robin never should have ‘died,’ but please do not let her in limbo somewhere for that someday down the line. I ask some closure, please. Let her be discovered and then give her the sendoff the actress and character deserve.
I am loving GH but would like more OLTL cast on GH like Viki, Dorian, Roxy , Tina , Victor, Natalie, more Blair what the hell u bring her for couple of shows then shes gone Todd and Blair are the best . And heres and idea how about some Pine Valley in Port Charles …Missing my daytime soaps and especially Erica Kane .. And bring Laura back to Gh that would save the show but she cant be crazy … And where the hell is Bobbie, and the classic GH what about Frisco and wheres the real Maxie .. What about bringing Demi Moore or Ricky Martin or John Stamos back for some star power … Really like that Heather Webber is back and bring Scotty, Lucy, Kevin, and some how bring Alan Quatermine back they never really die on the soaps just sayin. And what about bringing Sean and Tiffany back and Robert and Holly need to be on more , Lois, Ned, the show needs the characters that made GH back ..

I’m with you aria,there is no way abc/disney is going to pay for all of these actors they are cutting costs where ever they can( however they are cheep bastards for canceling One life to live and All my children)I hear alot of fans are pissed that robert isnt staying it could be because of money and being able to keep what they have .If you have to many characters it doesnt make sense having all these different stories to write.Maybe Michael is expecting to win the mega millions then he could take over our soaps and get One life to live back,Now that would be my early christmas gift.
Noooooooooooooo demi moore,never ,repeat, never, liked jackie templeton.I would love to see all of the rest of your list happen but on all my children and One life to live, they should be brought back.theres no money for all of these soap stars so its not going to happen.Kristan storms is still sick,there hasnt been any more news about her health,Jen lilley is doing a good job taking over.If demi moore comes back I will have to fast forward all her scenes and I really dont want to do that .
You named 18 people. Who are going to pay for their salaries? Haven’t you been reading that it cost money to put on a soap production, let alone, they have to buy wardrobe for these people? General Hospital does not need ALL those OLTL people. All General Hospital needs is better writing, and creative improvement. (Again, OLTL had it’s ‘moment in time’ and GH ” STILL” has theirs……..)
Some historic characters of GH, you can always…. bring back based on their LEGACY to the SHOW and CHARACTER. For example, Alan Quartermaine (the character) Laura (the show and character) Robert (the character) Holly (the character). Bobbie (the character and show). Facial surgery is probaby what semi-retired her. Others would never FIT in anymore because their character’s….. DONT have that kind of legacy. Tiffany and Sean, would no longer be a FIT, they would stick out like a sore thumb. Nor John Stamos, Demi Moore, and Ricky Martin. It would only be to show off their “Star Power”. Take that away, and it becomes, “What do I do with this character on the canvas? ” There is NO Outrageous Legacy of these characters, like Laura, Scotty, Robert, Anna. Their legacy takes up CHUCKS of GH. They can always come back because…. of it.
And stop trying to make Gh, into OLTL. Like Scott (the site poster said) : “Let the show (OLTL) die fellas! “
I suspected she was still alive (burned beyond recognition was a clue), and I hoped it would happen..I feel GH is going strong and will stay on (if ABC knows what’s good for them)..love having some of OLTL characters on..love the interaction..but Kimberly is off to do her producing and directing..I do hope she will return..please don’t wait ten years to do so..good luck with your future..
Im loving gh in ways that I havn’t in so long. Glad Robin’s still alive, living the maxie and Kate stories but I think it would have made more sense charator wise for Maxie to have DID. Get it story wise. Oh and who’s watching Cameron and Aiden which they would have never made Lucky Aiden’s father cause Lucky’s no where to be seen. They make liz look like she cares more about Patrick and Emma at least bring the boys along.

This was a fantastic move on their part, it leaves Robin’s s/l open for her to return someday which hopefully won’t be for too long. Jason Thompson has been amazing as Patrick. Now if only Ron & Frank would bring Blair back on the canvas….please!!! GH has been awesome under their regime….great work guys!
Further confirmation of the brilliance of writer Carlivati and the enigmatic power of scripted drama and storytelling. McCullough has embodied a truly three-dimensional portrayal and succeeded magnificently in bringing to life a character who is a family member to legions of fans. Bravo to all who made the “Robin resurrection” a reality!
I’m glad that Robin is alive but still disappointed in the way Robert has been portrayed once again as a deadbeat dad. I hope that if Robin returns it involves a good old adventure involving the Robert of old!
How about going back to the late 60’s, early 70’s. How about bringing back, even for an appearance, the Dawsons and the Pinkhams, and Jeff Webber too, RDA.

Ron, thank you, thank you, thank you! Robin is alive and Kimberly can return if she wants to someday! Best decision ever! I waited when she left last time, and I don’t mind waiting again. I don’t care if she waits years—at least she can return.
In the meantime, the acting from Kimberly, Steve Burton, and especially Jason Thompson was superb! I felt just as though a family member had died. A well written and executed story for such a beloved character! Thanks again for thinking of Robin’s fans.
I absolutely love Ron Carlivati and Frank Valentini. As far as I am concerned, they are the best on daytime. I trust anything they do. That was a fantastic surprise. Robin is alive. I really never thought that she was dead. Everyday I cannot wait to watch what they are doing next. Cannot wait to hear about the new casting. Thanks so much for being there for us.
I absolutely LOVE the fact that Robin is alive somewhere!! Was hoping she wouldn’t really be dead. Thank goodness Ron Carlivati came on board when he did! The show is way more interesting since Ron started writing for it. Loving it!

It’s kind of a moot point because in soaps today there has been a really unrealistic trend of always bringing pivotal characters back from the dead if the actors are popular enough. Cartini just did it on OLTL. We saw Victor get shot point blank range, pronounced dead and even burried and then bingo…a few weeks later he’s alive and a hostage-ridiculous.
Any savvy soap viewer would know that the door would be left open for an enormously popular actress like Kim to return. And despite their endeavors to keep it quiet the proposal about Robin’s exit story was all over the web by the first week Cartini came to GH. The only thing surprising is that the reveal came so soon. Spoilers said the reveal would come in May if GH got the ax and this would be the end game adventure story to wrap the show.
As far as Cartini being the saviors of GH get real. They really havent changed the core structure of the show as it needs. GH is still the Maurice Bernard, Steve Burton, Kelly Monaco, Laura Wright show-just with a faster pace and few OLTL actors-yawn.
Cartini needs to get the courage to shake things up and to take the risk of upsetting certain fan groups-hello Jasam, lol!
And instead of giving contracts to their former employees ( even though I love Roger Howarth, Kassie DaPaiva, Michael Easton on Kris Alderson), they need to concentrate on restoring Gh legacy characters. Rehire Stuart Damon ( Alan), Sean Kanaan ( AJ), John Lindstrom ( Kevin), Lynn Herring ( Lucy Coe). And give Robin Mattson, Finola Hughes and Tristan Rogers contract!
Stop giving lip service to GH’s legacy and truly restore it! And let’s either send Sonny to prison, redeem him or something. But the merry go round mob plot must go. It was GH constipated for over a decade now. Time for Gh to move on to new directions or face the ax.
I think you are dreaming if you think ABC will let anybody–including Carlivati/Valentini–move the focus of GH away from Jason, Sam, Sonny, and Carly. I agree with you that it would be a much better show if they were back-burnered for a good long while, and then re-integrated in a more balanced way. But I cannot see ABC agreeing to it, even if Carlivati/Valentini were to recommend it (and for all we know, maybe they have already suggested it and been shot down).
Personally at this point I dont think abc/disney gives a rats ass what carlivati/valentini do to general hospital even bring barney the dinosaur to port charles if it helps in the ratings ,I think the rat channel is nervous they are getting a lot of backlash and its looking like the chew and the revolution was not a very bright Idea (wonderful news for us soap fans),so if ron and frank say they want big bird ,grover,and oscar the grouch to live in port charles Take my word for it they will move next door to Sonny,jason or carly,its a done deal.Frank knows how to save the money and Ron keeps the stories interesting and thats why abc/disney hired them to save general hospital .

I hadn’t watched GH in a long long time, but tuned in to see my favorite OLTL characters show up in town. Somehow, I just knew Robin was alive all along. Even when I heard that Kimberly was leaving the show, I knew that didn’t mean Robin was “really” dead. I’m barely hanging in there with ABC right now because of their cancelling OLTL, so they’d “better” come up with lots of great stories on GH, to keep me interested. Aside from the Robin storyline, they need to bring more OLTL characters on, or better still, bring OLTL back. Knowing that Robin is “out there somewhere” is not enough to keep me tuning in on a regular basis again.

Sure I do. I care about Todd, Starr and currently appearing on there, John McBain. Since the actors that play Todd and Starr are now on contract, I am a “little” interested in the show. Don’t blame us for wanting to see more of our fave OLTL characters on GH. Blame ABC for cancelling our soap. The ratings for it were far better than the piece of junk show they replaced it with are. I used to watch GH all the time until it became the Mobster/Sonny show! I like the actor, but cannot stand the constant “gangsta” storylines. If they bring Kassie Depaiva on contract as Blair, I promise, I’ll watch every day. 🙂

Maybe she is with Trevor and there is a mad man or woman who just loves soaps so much that they want to hold their favorites for their own… just kidding. It is great and GH is getting better every day and I truly wish that it will have 50 more years… maybe if ABC dumps it someone will be in the wings to pick it up and do the right thing. Things have changed with how we watch and when we watch and someone has to find a way to make the shows work and make the revenue they need and allow us to watch them wherever we watch them.
Ron Carlivati is one smart man. This is brilliant! I never watched GH, but with AMC & OLTL gone, I started watching. It is great, especially since Ron started writing.

If she was truly dead, it was reported last month she is still on the set shooting.
Maybe that is why the exposion was done as bad as it was. They had to make it look like that so we believe she was alive. No, I never thought she died. If anything, I would have been surprised if she really was gone. I was surprised how soon they brought her back though!
Thank the soap gods for doing this…I am not a GH fan, but know of Robin’s story and was shocked they were going to kill her. Bad head writer before, glad he’s gone!
I’ve loved Ron’s writing since his first day as head writer on OLTL, and this makes me love him even more.
Caroline Im with you,I am so happy that he is with general hospital to help save it, I would much rather have one life to live back but thats not going to happen any time soon,so he can help us fall in love with general hospital all over again,and I am loving it already.These past few weeks with Ron ‘s writing has been a joy to watch,I dont fall asleep anymore ,take my word for it I have taken alot of naps during general hospital over the years ,Port Charles is not boring anymore and for that I am so grateful to Ron.

Love Kimberly McCullough and Robin Scorpio. Have been watching her since day 1:) It was the rgt thing to do, invest in the character and reveal her to be alive. Leaves alot of prospects open–for her to come back if she misses the role so much or if GH ends or if Jason Thompson decides to leave in a few yrs, they can be reunited and ride off into the sunset together. Def a character not to close the door on! KM and JT are a great pairing & it’s nice to know there’s hope down the line.

I LOVE IT! Anything that will keep GH going I am all for. I have grown to think of the cast as FAMILY and the thought of Robin being dead was unbearable! Thank you…for making GH shine again RC & FV for your AMAZING WRITING and for making GH a CLASS ACT once again!
I am going to take the opposite view and say i wish Robin was dead on the show for 2 reasons which are i want people on GH that really want to be on the show and even if they wanted Robin to disappear they could have come up with a lot better plan then what they did which had such a large hole in its execution that you could drive a 18 wheeler through it.I am sick and tired of the entire soap opera genre in useing the same type of storyline where a character supposely dies then later on bring them back on the show.
I love that Robin is alive. It leaves the door open for Kim to come back and I hope one day she will. There’s still so much story for her…her daughter Emma, her family, and those feelings we saw come out between her and Jason Morgan the last few months.
Robin is one of the best female characters this show has. I was heartbroken to think that her story was over but now she’s alive. I know at any point Kim could decide to come back and I could have Robin again. That makes me happy. There was so much emotion between JnR the last couple months with the new writers. They allowed something that the previous regime had steadily ignored for years. When and if Kim ever decides to come back I hope they will follow that through and we will see Jason and Robin together again.
Happy very very happy. I hope Kim doesn’t stay away too long and if she comes back we get to see a lot of interaction between Sonny/Robin/Jason and yeah JnR too 🙂
I was so happy to see Robin back , I had to go look on the DVH to make sure that was her. I sure would appreciate it if you would contract Blair and John. They would be amazing on the show. Hope nothing happens to Natalie and Liam. Sonny and Kate (love Connie) are driving me nuts with their pity me story. The storeline Is GREAT!!!!
Ron is a super story spinster. I wish GH many more years i’ve not yet and won’t ever watch the revolution and i really hope they ax it and give that time slot to GH when Katie’s show debuts. Since OLTL has gone off there have been some sad days for me i mean your accustomed to watching a show for nearly thirty years and wham it’s gone with nothing good put in it’s place to watch. I Think Daytime needs stories like why people are gay i know some men have an extra x chromosome and whose to say there is not alot of material on it to be read but that would make an awsome daytime soap story.
