GH’s Wes Ramsey Makes Statement on Criticism, Social Media, and Professionalism
General Hospital’s Wes Ramsey, who portrays polarizing character, Peter August on the ABC daytime drama series, responded to a recent take on his role from cast mate, Tristan Rogers (Scorpio) when a video made its way through social media.
The video was from a Cameo appearance, where Rogers offered an assessment of the Peter August storyline and expressed that while he knows Ramsey is a strong actor, he felt he was “wrong for the character” being that Peter was the son of the evil Faison played by Anders Hove.
Rogers also came to the defense of Ramsey and shared: “Don’t be too hard on Wes Ramsey. He’s got himself into a horrible storyline, and the storyline is the fault of the show. What they’ve literally done is they’ve painted themselves into a corner, and they don’t know how to get out of it.”
Currently, Peter’s story is front and center on GH with his wedding to Maxie (Kirsten Storms), and the fallout from all of the character’s dirty deeds.
Now Ramsey took to his Instagram account to address what transpired and his thoughts on the perils of social media, professionalism and acting, expressing: “Actors are storytellers, shapeshifters, chameleons. We’re also in the business of cultivating trust bc that’s how the best work is brought to life. We have to trust our imaginations, our instincts. We have to trust our fellow actors, because without them, there’s no scene to play. In the collaborative efforts of bringing any show to life, we also have to trust our directors each day to steer the arch of our story (like a conductor with a symphony) & trust our writers who are tasked with composing the symphonies we play out. I came up in a world of classical theater, where trusting the play, text, story is essential to the tightrope balancing act of making magic. You will never hear me critique (on any public platform) the people responsible for the creative opportunities I enjoy each day. Without the trust of my writers, directors, producers & fellow actors, it would be impossible to live out my dreams. My job (& my only job) is to bring fearlessness, playfulness & passionate conviction to what has been created for me. My aim is to stretch myself (beyond the limits of where I think my boundaries may lye) each time I’m entrusted with material that allows those boundaries to be tested.
Every actor must believe they are the right person for their part or they will never achieve their potential, let alone surpass it. I was raised a gentleman & have two wonderful parents to thank for that, however, my polite personality (while rendering me easy to get along with on set) should have little bearing on my caliber of performance nor my castability as a professional. I am leery of the pitfalls of social media & believe there are advantages to maintaining some mystery (even as a public figure) but I will always defend & protect what I hold dear (my job & my career) when they are publicly challenged, especially by those closest to me, whom I love & respect. Please know I bear no ill will. As a society, we are all still learning the full ramifications of living in an internet dominated culture. To all my many fans out there who offer encouragement & support, I hear you & am grateful for you. I’m having a blast… 🙂. Onward we go.”

TR said nothing wrong about the show, story or Ramsey. TR spoke what many fans are feeling. He said Ramsey was in a bad story that writers wrote into a corner. He also said he didn’t fit role not that he was a bad actor. Though opinions differ on that. Ramsey needs to rise above and realize perception is he got job because of who his girlfriend is.
Could you and other media outlets expend as much energy on the Ingo, Maurice and Nancy issue?
Wes Ramsey did not get the role because of Laura Wright, and the online bullies need to stop persistently stating this and calling him names because of said-belief.
What is the Ingo, Maurice and Nancy issue?
I certainly understood it… Wes Ramsey is wrong for the role.
Agree
Me thinks he doth protest too much.
Exactly, Violet.
Regardless of what one thinks of Ramsey’s acting abilities or how he got hired, the point is the character is not working and needs to go.
I’m guessing the writers thought by finally revealing that Peter is not Anna’s son fans would be satisfied. That’s just the first step needed for a character who cannot be redeemed.
With a few exceptions, Chris and Dan are doing a fine job as head writers. The Peter character is a fail and Frank needs to realize that.
Agree he was terrible at crying we literally laughed out loud! To keep him when they’ve let way better actors go it’s wrong
I have always liked Wes since he became Peter August on GH. Period. And have sympathized with why Peter has tried to find a place in his life based on the family cards he was dealt…if not his methods. And in the soap world liberties are taken all of the time yet, if not in real life, we still look forward to the likes of Helena and Dr. O. In reading not-so-nice comments about him over the years, I can’t help but think he has inherited some commenters dislike for how they think he got the job because of their dislike of a character/actor they think influenced it.
So Peter…I’m looking forward to where your character’s redemption goes with the love and support of Maxie.
I agree with you Rose in that I have always liked Wes since he became Peter August on GH. Period. I think he is so sweet with Maxie!
We now know that’s not happening, Rose. Killing Franco in cold blood? No coming back from that.
Hi Rebecca 1…I have to agree with you. He’s really been written into a corner. It’s a hard show to watch for me right now. No happy storylines for anyone. Surprisingly the only story that I am interested in is Sonny, Phylis and her husband.
No redemption for Whiny Heiny. He’s more obviously marked for death than Rapey Charlie was on Days a couple of weeks ago. If GH was back on a normal airing schedule, I’d expect him in Hell by the end of Friday’s episode. But after all the preemptions in January & February, that might be a few days late.
We’re ready for him down here!
I think Wes is a terrific actor. I dislike the character of Peter August a great deal. That being said, I think Wes makes Peter understandable in his conflict of wanting to be better but never really leaving his evil deeds in the past.
Bah ha ha! That Tristan Rogers cracks me up. He says exactly what other actors are thinking but don’t dare for fear of being written into an elevator with no floor. Rogers is spot on right here. The writers really did paint Peter into a corner. Moreover, the pairing of Maxie has been a colossal flop. Not only do these two seem to have no sexual and romantic chemistry, they don’t even to seem to like each other very much.
Tristan Rogers did Wes Ramsey a favor defending him against the horrifically bad writing with which he was afforded. I bet Ramsey would like to publicly thank him but cannot for fear of Peter getting into an elevator with no floor.
Haha I love this comment!
Harry…It can sometimes be amazing to some who the heart’s of others can love. Even if you think Peter and Maxie are a mismatch, what else is new on GH and other soaps. The romantic in me is looking for a Peter redemption story.
Rose. Duly noted. I’m sorry. I posted my comment before I saw your comment. I would have been more sensitive and respectful to your feelings had I seen your comment beforehand. It’s not that I don’t think Wes Ramsey is a huge talent because I do. Like, Tristan Rogers, I think he’s a strong actor. But I also agree with Rogers when he asserts that this character is badly written. And it seems to me that he was just thrown to Maxie as a plot driven device. I stand by my comment about this couple-they just don’t seem to be that into each other. I don’t see them as star crossed lovers, rather, I see them as that couple who were victims of bad matchmaking by well meaning friends. This coupling always felt forced— like someone trying to force a jigsaw puzzle piece where it doesn’t fit. I guess it goes without saying that our opinions are just that- opinions, and therefore, subjective. I hope all is well with you, Rose. 2021 is already shaping up to be a really good year.
Harry…You are always respectful, one of the main reasons I read your comments. I’m doing well under the circumstances. Agree there have been some bright spots so far in 2021. Looking forward to more. Well I am off to watch another soap opera…Oprah’s 2 hr interview with Harry and Meghan. Keep well.
Tristan Rogers knows first hand what bad writing can do to a soap character, even a beloved veteran like Robert Scorpio himself. Those of us with functional memories will remember what complete dragonshit was written for him by Ron Carlivati. Scorpio was just one of the classic GH characters who were thrown under the bus to plug ReRon’s endless parade of newbies & OLTL castaways. Jason Morgan was another. Both characters were finally redeemed, but it took YEARS to do so. (the relationship of Jason & Sam, sadly has NOT ever recovered from ReRon’s assault) And though the idea of Robert – lifelong spy – suddenly having a legal background and becoming the district attorney is a real stretch of the imagination, at least it has given him a reason to be a contract member of the cast again.
As far as Whiny Heiny goes…. no amount of writing is ever going to make that character viable, no matter who they say his mother is. They really need to cut their losses and kill him off already. Best case scenario? Let him & Frodd take each other out at the same time, with neither one surviving. Yeah, it’s not like I really want both of them showing up in Hell at the same time, but I’ll make the sacrifice for the good of everyone else.
Satan
I usually agree with most of your comments, but feel I have to say, no ask, what is it you dislike so much about Roger Howarth or is it Franco, before and after? I liked him as Paul Ryan on ATWT, but did not see him as Todd Manning. I know other fans don’t like him and it’s hard to understand. The guy deserves credit for having to act opposite the simpering, butter won’t melt in her mouth Elizabeth. To each his own, right?
I really don’t have anything against Roger Howarth himself. If they had brought him on GH as a new character, and not immediately tried to force him as a “lead”, throwing veteran characters under the bus for his benefit, he probably would have been alright.
Todd Manning never belonged on GH at all, that goes without saying. But as bad as that first year of Frank & ReRon shoving them down our throats was, then (thanks to the legal fiasco with Prospect Park over the web version of OLTL) then they rebranded him as “Franco”, even though he was still playing Todd, for all practical purposes. Howarth himself has admitted this was their plan.
The original Franco was a good character for what he was…. a complete psycho serial killer, and James Franco portrayed him well enough. But characters like that have expiration dates, and when Jason emptied a clip in his chest & then burned the building the body was in, that should have been the end of it. You don’t “redeem” serial killers. But since he’s really playing “Todd” that’s actually just as bad, given Todd’s history as a rapist, being paired with Elizabeth, whose first major storyline on GH was a teenager who was brutally raped.
It wasn’t Ron who destroyed Jason and Sam, Kelly Monaco did that when she couldn’t get over Billy Miller!!
The destruction of Jason & Sam began when the OLTL regime took over the show in February 2012, and ReRon forced another one of his stupid OLTL transplants (McBain)in between Jason & Sam, while having their child stolen by two other OLTL transplants (Todd & his screaming banshee of an ex-wife, whatever her name was). By the time that idiotic storyline ended, Jason, Sam, and baby Danny had literally 24 hours together as a family before they literally shot Jason in the back and left him for dead.
Billy Miller had nothing to do with any of that.
Jason & Sam are no Alan & Monica or Steve & Audrey. Similar to Luke & Laura, this couple had an expiration date. Just look how energized the scenes with Jason & Britt or even Sam & Dante are to see how much more potential there is with these characters.
Like you, I have plenty of beefs with Ron’s writing, but ratings actually went up with the initial influx of OLTL characters/actors. High enough, to avoid cancellation when a time slot was needed for the disaster of a talk show led by Katie Couric.
Since you will or want to accept Peter in Hell ; accept Carly , Jason , and Sonny , too! Thank God if you do ! I’ll appreciate it!
Oh, they will probably all be here eventually. But not right now… or GH is over. Nobody wants that, right?
If I wanted G.H. cancelled , I would stop watching it since I’m not a fan of either of the characters who I named. My desire is for G.H. to write the other characters as strong as Carly , Jason , and Sonny. The writers present Nina and other players as people afraid to confront them. Let’s get real , with this show ; there should be more characters challenging that group. I know that I would be fired on the first day because there isn’t any way those three would confront me without be shown that they have the wrong person. Give the other characters backbones ! I won’t say , please!
The problem with the Nina character is that she was originally written as a complete psycho wackjob, and just as useless as Frodd or Whiny Heiny. I actually don’t mind the current version of the character, but they’re probably dragging her down by attaching her to Nelle (who ironically resembles the original Nina, both physically and mentally, but not so much this version)
And if Nina goes after Michael & Carly & tries to take Wiley away from his family, based on her mistaken idea of what happened to Nelle, it’s not going to end well for her. Not to mention if the rumors are true that she somehow finds out about the amnesiac Sonny & keeps that information to herself. And it goes without saying that Ava Jerome is the last person she should be geting advice from! (though even Ava is slightly more tolerable than she used to be, now that Nikolas has managed to make her somewhat human)
Nina would be better off if she realized that Nelle created her own messed up situation, and stopped blaming herself and the Corinthos family for the supposed loss (we all know she ain’t dead) of the daughter she never knew about. She should make up with Jax and get back to running her business. Michael seemed more than willing to allow her to have a relationship with her grandson… until she pulled that “Willow’s not your mommy” card.
All I want the writers to do is to make the characters stand their ground with mobster , his family , and friends. The show is too one-sided. All of the fans need to be pleased at times. Factually , I’m pro Nina as you are pro mob and family. We’re not changing our minds. Trust me; it takes all that he has for Satan to change my mind in reality!
To hell with cancel culture. Tristan, you helped skyrocket the ratings 40 years ago saving the show from cancellation. You know the show’s history inside out. Say whatever you want.
T.R. Has alway’s been my favorite actor on GH. What he said was true. He did not get the job because of Laura Wright. They were on Guiding Light together. Wes always seemed to be such a nice guy for an evil part. I believe he would have been better in another role. Seems that Wes is peeved with T.R. I still can’t get over the fact that they let Stuart Damon go. That was a big mistake. And for heaven sake bring back Lulu! That just made no sense.
Annie
I also liked him on GL and Laura as Reba’s younger sister. Especially love the wild, beautiful, curly hair, which we sometimes see in personal photos but never in her role as Carly.
I do not like the pairing of Maxi and Peter, no chemistry, no nothing. I do not miss Lulu, who was also on GL as Lizzie Spaulding. She plays Lulu as a silly ding-bat who is hard to take seriously.
Yes, Violet, I also liked Wes and loved Laura on GL, still my all-time favorite soap. And you’re right about poor Emme. She’s a good actress but Lulu has become a talking troll doll, with apparently the same hairdresser.
Totally agree with this comment, Carrie and with Tristan Rogers. No one knows more about the soap world than he does and his view of the “Peter” character is spot on!
Love Tristan! He tells it like it is!
Unfortunately it seems that Val the Bastard intervened to save Whiney Heiny’s life today. Yeah sure, he probably would have spilled what he knew about Heiny anyway, but just the timing of WHEN he spoke up seems really deliberate.
Because Dr. Ooblech pulled out her pen, walked over to Dante and was about to click the pen… which of course would have prompted Dante to “complete the mission”… which in this Devil’s opinion would have been the preferred outcome.
But old Valentin – being somewhat familiar with WSB brainwashing techniques – probably put 6+6+6 together at this point – given Dante’s odd behavior since he came home – and realized what was about to happen, and intercepted the plan with a diversion of his own.
So, Val the Bastard might be less of a bastard these days, or not, depending on how you view him saving Whiny Heiny’s life. I’m sure Heiny definitely will NOT see it that way, since he will apparently still be breathing after today, but no longer getting away with all the crimes he’s committed since arriving in Port Charles… most of which were done to cover up the crimes he committed BEFORE he came to Port Charles.
But as I said in a previous post… we can still hope he and Frodd take each other out. Now maybe Val can do something about Dante’s brainwashing, since it would seem his services of “completing the mission” will no longer be required… Heiny’s on his way to Hell either via a showdown with Frodd, or getting shanked in prison. We’ll will take him either way!
Boy, that tire iron or whatever has gotten a lot of action in the past few days. How much can Peter’s head take? If this is the end for him thanks to Franco, my big question is, what will Dante do next time someone clicks a pen within earshot? If he can be de-programned, will we get a new and improved Dante back or will he be this same sad sack of a guy, so desperately in need of a facial trim and haircut?
Even without the brainwashing, I doubt Dante is going to be all that worried about his personal appearance, at least until his wife wakes up from her long nap (hopefully in the form of Julie Berman)
Using a pen as a trigger for brainwashing, that seems so random for a supposedly world class spy organization like the WSB. Dante spends most of his time hanging around the hospital, the offices of Aurora media, and the Metro Court hotel. There has to be clicking pens in those business environments every day, you would think. Sure, a lot of paperwork is digital now, but signatures are still required on many documents. Maybe if he was triggered with Heiny not in the room it wouldn’t have any effect, other than him mumbling to himself about “completing the mission” but it would probably be noticeable to anybody who has known Dante for any length of time and observed a sudden change in his behavior, any time somebody clicked a damn pen!
Dante is starting to look like a hippie muppet. His beard is taller than he is.
Thank you Harry.
It’s funny, Harry, but though I hate heavy beards, I generally prefer longer hair on men to those unflattering buzz cuts. But…Dante and Michael just aren’t making it with longer hair, whereas Chase and (the late) Julian look (ed) incredible. Dante looks like he’s channeling DiCaprio in THE REVENANT and Michael just looks greasy and unstyled. It’s even more reason to dread the coming Dante and Sam I Am coupling.
Not seeing the muppet there, but I did think Leslie Webber looked like a Hobbit on her most recent visit to Port Charles. Maybe she can bring Gandalf with her to take down Cyrus the Virus next time?
Social media is meaner then a snake and everyone is addicted to it I saw Tr he looked like he was drunk hair sticking straight up ! Hollywood you have jobs your business has not been destroyed your families are not in peril by politics people who are drunk on power so please just shut up! We are out here trying to help people and praying for our nation just stop attacking each other on the keyboard ! Lies are being told ! Pray for this nation
Sorry I came on so strong but I’m angry at TR he is working and still complaining about the storyline I can tell him right now their are lots of people who lost their job or morons burned their business down or stole from them etc WR was classy about being thankful that he is working . I don’t think WR is the only actor who ever got hired from a parking lot so did Doug Davidson over at Y&R and he lasted 42 years .
May
Poor Doug, they have been disrespecting him for many months now. I think he should tell them all go go to hell!
He’s just not a good actor I wish they’d kill off his character… he’s no where near as good as others who have been let go. Will Devry Billy Miller etc stop trying to throw every out of work soap person on gh there may be a reason they’re out of work
Amen, Suzi. The two handsomest, sexiest guys, Billy and Will, are gone and we’re left with Peter and the obnoxious T. J., who actually punches innocent men in a HOSPITAL!
“Innocent” would be a bit of a stretch there…. Brando did shag his girlfriend after all. Of course Molly didn’t bother to mention she had a boyfriend, and she only cheated because Jordan lied to her about the reason TJ was AWOL, and implied that he was done with her.
So does that mean TJ should have punched his mama?? Just kidding, a Devil would never advocate violence against women. He definitely should have punched Cyrus the Virus though, since ultimately he was to blame.
Is Wes thin-skinned or what? This is much-ado-about-nothing. Tristin said only nice things about Wes; he was critical of the way the character is written and thinks Wes is too nice for the part.
Meh, got over it!
This is a non-story. Not only was Tristan not bashing Wes, Wes was not directly addressing Tristan. What Tristan said is true, and I admire him for taking a stand on it AND defending his fellow actor against bad writing.
I just watched Franco die on GH, and seeing this article now, I cannot believe that Roger Howarth and so many talented actors are gone from GH, and Wes Ramsey is still drawing a salary. All I can say is that Laura Wright has tremendous pull on the show, as much as Maurice Bernard and maybe more. I know that this is not the kind or politically correct thing to say, but its the truth. I hope that another soap gives Roger an amazing offer.
OK we all know Whiny Heiny is going to die. Hopefully he will be Cerberus’s new chew toy here in Hell by the middle of next week.
The only question is…… with 66.6% of Port Charles now having legitimate motives to kill the son of a bitch, who should actually do it?
When you kill somebody, you always run the risk of dying yourself in the process, whether it’s a mutual elimination with the target, or the cops catch you in the act or afterwards. Or you actually are prosecuted & found guilty, and shipped off to Pentonville. So that means you need a suspect who is expendable. Nobody wants to see Liz, Scotty, Jason, Anna, Robert, Cameron, Maxie, or even Val the Bastard go down for this.
That’s why I wanted Frodd & Heiny to take each other out at the same time. They both needed to go, but nobody else needed to be dragged down with them.
So here’s my solution for taking Heiny out…..
Heather Webber is supposedly Frodd’s mother. She has a habit of breaking out of the Looney Bin, where’s she’s supposedly locked up for life. Surely Heather would want revenge against her son’s killer. So let her be the one to do it. Then she can stop at Kelly’s and pick up a couple of BLTs to go, and be back in her padded cell by sunrise.
Mission accomplished, and without any viable characters thrown under the bus.
Great suggestion regarding Heather!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
