Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong Continues To Lobby To Be On Y&R & We’d Be All For It

Photo: iHeartRadio

We previously reported that on Green Day’s frontman, Billie Joe Armstrong’s Instagram account he curiously posted an image from the soundstage of The Young and the Restless and a clip of Michael Mealor as Kyle, all  indicating that he would love a chance to act on the CBS Daytime drama series.

The singer/songwriter punctuated that last night during his appearance on the at home version of CBS’s The Late, Late Show with James Corden.

When the discussion turned to Armstrong’s acting aspirations he said, “I like to think of myself as a pretty decent b-movie actor. I have a thing, I wanna do things like The Young & The Restless, or do a soap opera.”

Corden and company said they could hook Armstrong up with the people over at Y&R since they know them all well.   Armstrong acknowledged that he would love that.

In addition, Armstrong and his sons performed a cover of the Shondell’s ‘I Think We’re Alone Now”

So, who could Billie Joe play on Y&R, especially given they have had music industry storylines with Tessa and Devon, etc?  Should he get a guest shot? Comment below.
