Y&R to Air Classic Nikki/Victor and B&B To Air Epic Weddings Theme Weeks

Just announced, CBS offers daytime drama fans more memories of their most cherished episodes, as “Theme Weeks” for The Young and the Restless, and The Bold and the Beautiful continue the week of May 4th.

Y&R will feature episodes dating back to 1981 that focus on the passionate relationship between daytime’s most iconic couple, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). That same week, B&B will air some of the most memorable and beloved marriages in the show’s history – some dating back to 1991 – all shot in extraordinary locations.

Storylines for the “Victor and Nikki” episodes are as follows:

On Monday, May 4, Nikki visits Newman Ranch for the first time as Victor tests their chemistry with help from Colonel Douglas Austin (Michael Evans). The episode originally aired Oct. 31, 1981.

On Tuesday, May 5, Nikki dreams of reuniting with Victor after Ashley (Eileen Davidson) is out of the picture, and Phillip (Thom Bierdz) makes plans for a future with Cricket (Lauralee Bell). The episode originally aired August 17, 1987.

Wednesday, May 6, Nikki takes center stage at the Colonnade Room, Drucilla (Victoria Rowell) finds herself in trouble, and Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) distracts Scott (Peter Barton) from Lauren (Tracey Bregman). The episode originally aired June 2, 1990.

Thursday, May 7, Victor and Nikki cannot deny their attraction, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) marriage is on the rocks, and Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) interferes in Jill’s (Jess Walton) relationship with Keith Dennison (Granville Van Dusen). The episode originally aired April 14, 1998.

Friday, May 8, Victor and Nikki are remarried at the iconic Colonnade Room while Ashley (Davidson) struggles with a secret. The episode originally aired Sept. 5, 2002.

Then, as The Bold and the Beautiful’s “Epic Wedding Week” week will feature:

Monday, May 4, Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) desperately attempts to escape from Prince Omar (Kabir Bedi) to let Ridge (Ronn Moss) know that she’s alive, while Ridge and Brooke (Lang) have their epic first wedding in front of friends… and foes on the beautiful beach in Point Dume, Calif. The episode originally aired Sept. 30, 1994.

Tuesday, May 5, Steffy (Wood) and Liam (Clifton) are wed in front of the iconic Opera House on the glorious Sydney, Australia harbor. While the ceremony progresses in front of family and friends, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) eases his sorrows over his brother’s marriage to his ex-wife with several drinks.  The episode originally aired March 22, 2017.

Wednesday, May 6, Katie (Tom), the only woman to have ever stolen Dollar Bill’s (Diamont) heart, walks down the aisle to become Mrs. William Spencer, Jr., with her sisters at her side, at the San Fernando Valley home where she was raised. Legendary CBS star Patrick Duffy (“Dallas”) guest stars as Katie’s father, Stephen Logan. The episode originally aired Nov. 13, 2009.

Thursday, May 7, Eric Forrester (McCook) and Brooke Logan (Lang) say “I Do” as Eric’s ex-wife, Stephanie (Susan Flannery), and Brooke’s true love, Ridge (Kaye), watch without objection. Eric then takes Brooke on a romantic and surprise honeymoon in a magnificent hot-air balloon in Palm Springs, Calif. The episode originally aired Jan. 8, 1991.

Friday, May 8: Having overcome astounding obstacles, Hope (Kim Matula, in a role currently played by Annika Noelle) and Liam (Scott Clifton) joyously say “I Do” in front of family, friends, and the many residents of the beautiful city of Puglia, Italy. Frustrated and brokenhearted, Steffy (Wood) updates Eric (McCook) and Stephanie (Flannery) on the dramatic events transpiring in Puglia. The episode originally aired June 26, 2012.

We’re not seeing any of these episodes in the NY Metro area. They are pre-emoted by the local governor’s daily updates and not available on CBS ON DEMAND or on cbs.com.

The Bold and the Beautiful to Rebroadcast First Episode Of Series

Coming up next week on CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful look for some major encore presentations that long-running fans of the series will be excited to see again!

Kicking things off on Monday, June 8th, the soap will air its first episode ever! Dating back to March 23rd, 1987, here is what to look for: Viewers are introduced to Forrester Creations fashion mogul, Eric Forrester (original cast member John McCook) and his sons Ridge (then played by Ronn Moss) and Thorne (then played by Clayton Norcross) during the preview of Eric’s new couture line to the press.  Publishing mogul Bill Spencer, Sr. (Jim Storm) demands that playboy Ridge stop dating his daughter Caroline (Joanna Johnson) before he breaks her heart. Brooke (original cast member Katherine Kelly Lang) arrives home to her sister Katie (then played by Nancy Sloan) after being attacked on her way home from college.

Eric Forrester (McCook) and Ridge Forrester (Moss) compete against one another as lead designers in an elegant fashion show set amidst the romantic and glamorous backdrop of Portofino, Italy.  As Massimo Marone (the late Joe Mascolo), Bridget (then played by Jennifer Finnegan), Sally (played by the late Darlene Conley), Darla  (Schae Harrison) watch Ridge, designing for Spectra Fashions and Eric, designing for Forrester Creations, bring their best to the “Portofino Challenge.”  Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and Clarke (Dan McVicar) emcee the event and Brooke (Lang) stuns as the showstopper arriving via boat on the Ligurian Sea.

Brooke (Lang) antagonizes Stephanie (Flannery) about becoming Mrs. Ridge Forrester again after Ridge (Moss) puts a ring on her finger.  Stephanie (Flannery) and Sally (Conley) drink to ease their woes when Sally decides that what Stephanie needs to win Eric (McCook) back is a makeover. In a hilarious scene, a drunken Sally (Conley) gives an equally drunk Stephanie (Flannery) a hair cut while listing her workplace demands after Stephanie offers her a job at Forrester Creations.

Oliver (Zach Conroy) throws Hope (then played by Kim Matula) a special masquerade party in celebration of her high school graduation.  With all of the women dressed alike in sequined dresses and all men and women disguised with full face masks, what could possibly go wrong?  Brooke (played by Katherine Kelly Lang), in costume, chaperones the party waiting for Ridge (Moss) while he attempts to persuade Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) not to crash the party. Caught up in the beat of Daddy Yankee’s performance, Brooke and Oliver, Hope’s boyfriend, make a passionate case of mistaken identity.

Wyatt (Darin Brooks) is horrified to find out that this mother Quinn (Rena Sofer) has kidnapped his brother Liam (Scott Clifton), who is suffering from amnesia and is living with him as man and wife, “Adam” and “Eve”.  Meanwhile, Bill (Don Diamont) questions Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) about Wyatt’s theory that Liam is just “trying to find himself.”  Alone in the cabin he shares with “Eve”, Liam, through a series of flashbacks, slowly regains his memory, realizing who he is, Liam Spencer, and who he has lost, Steffy.  In a moment of clarity, Liam confronts Quinn and with the help of Wyatt locks her in a closet before returning to Malibu for a bittersweet reunion with Steffy.

Sonny & Carly Week Of Encore Episodes On Tap For General Hospital

A Carson bonanza is on its way for the week of June 15th -19th when ABCs General Hospital rebroadcasts five pivotal moments in the love story and perils of Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright).

The episodes date back to 2007 through 2016.  One of the emotional highlights is when the duo start to have major marital issue over the loss of their son, Morgan (Bryan Craig).

GH is currently still in COVID-19 production shutdown mode and this week is continuing to airs its encore presentations of the some of the Best of the Nurses Ball episodes.

Here’s what to look forward to for CarSon week:

Monday, June 15 : Sonny and Carly re-declare their love during the Metro Court hostage crisis. (originally aired 2/7/2007)

Friday, June 19:  Grieving for Morgan, Carly blames Sonny for their son’s death. (originally aired 10/12/2016)

The Best of the GH Nurses’ Ball Continues; Which Is Your Favorite Musical Performance?

As part of its encore presentations, General Hospital is entering into its second week of Nurses’ Ball episodes.

Since the show is currently not in production and ran out of original episodes, viewers are getting to see all the glitz, the performances and the drama that makes the annual ball (which usually airs in May) so fun to watch.
