Michael, what a trip! How neat is this? We got to see the actual stage set ups and the interiors of the rooms, etc. It is great to see you walking through history. This project must have thrilled you. You did an amazing job, and it was terrific to watch you work you way with the stars and with Greg. I hope you can do this with other soaps and give us more glimpses into the workings of soaps. Now I have to check out some of your other pictures and interviews that were not in the walk through. Oh yeah,… Read more »

Oh Michael how you have spoiled us with this amazing behind the scenes walk through of Days! Thank you for presenting such a rare treat! Greg was very generous on his tour and I loved his introductions of Fran and Jayne both of whom are in the book. Being a huge fan I had to have A Celebration In Photos. It is everything you say it is on your tour – a beautiful presentation. I feel fortunate to be able to own this collection of vintage and recent photos of what is still my family’s favorite program. I feel as… Read more »

Absolutely loved this interview! It makes me want to go out and buy the book right now! Do you know if they are coming to the Chicago area? I heard Detroit but would love it if they would come to Chicago! Loved seeing Galen’s dressing room and Shawn’s too! Both are such handsome men! This just made my day seeing Galen! You also do an excellent job of interviewing!
Hopefully you will have more and more interviews with Days characters especially Galen/Rafe!

Hi, I am a HUGE fan of Days of our Lives and have been watching it since I was a toddler…. I think this book is a fantastic idea!! Is there anywhere in Canada that I can buy this? Or do I have to purchase it online…. I don’t have a credit card so that’s my dilemma with buying online….

Greg, you said that you need to get the nfans back who have stopped watching? Well most of those fans are women that have watched the show for many yearsmainly due to family values. When we lost Francis Reid, Bo & Hope was next to be the family tradition. Now your getting rid of the main character in that duo.You need to get rid of Gabi,Roman,Tee,Kate,Jen,Abigail,Cameron, just to name afew. their storylines are over. You talked about romance!.Why not give family tradition a go. Bring back Shawn & Belle. I have been watching this show from day one 49 years ago. I… Read more »

DAYS Jackée Harry Joins Freeform Comedy Pilot ‘Everything’s Trash’ in Recurring Role

Jackée Harry is one busy actress in Hollywood!  On the heels of learning that Harry has signed on more full-time on Days of our Lives in her role as Paulina, comes this bit of casting news.

Harry will join the cast of the Freeform comedy pilot, Everything’s Trash along with another notable actor, George Wallace.  Both will have recurring roles in the show should it go to series.

In story, Everything’s Trash follows Phoebe (Phoebe Robinson), a 30-something podcast star navigating her messy life. When her younger brother Jayden emerges as a leading politician, she’s forced to grow up, so she relies on her friends and close-knit family to help her figure out adulthood, since she doesn’t seem to have a clue. The series is inspired by Robinson’s book, “Everything’s Trash But It’s Okay.”

According to Variety, “Harry will star as Zora, Phoebe and Jayden’s mother. She and her husband are mid-Western transplants, but they have made a home in NY . They love and support their children equally, but truth be known, Zora acts (and dresses) younger than she is and straddles the line between “I’m my daughter’s mother” and “I’m my daughter’s best friend.”  Meanwhile, Wallace will play the role of Abraham, Phoebe and Jayden’s father and husband to Zora.

So, looking forward to hopefully seeing Jackée on a half-comedy sitcom at night, and doing her role on Days of our Lives? Comment below.

Victoria Konefal Will Be Back On Days of our Lives

This week Days of our Lives viewers saw the exit of both Theo (Cameron Johnson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal), much to the chagrin of Cin fans everywhere! But hold on! Days head writer, Ron Carlivati revealed that Victoria Konefal will be back on-screen this summer on the NBC soap opera.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Carlivati revealed: “From the moment we were coming to that point and we knew Ciara was going to exit town with Theo, we were immediately pursuing the next chapter with Victoria: When would she be available or willing to come back, and when could we tell the next chapter because I knew that would feel unfinished and be unsatisfying to a lot of people. So that’s why I’m happy to announce here that Ciara is coming back and we are going to tell that next chapter of the story and hopefully, this time, the audience will get the payoff that they’re looking for and hoping for.”

And as to just how long will Konefal who chose to go on recurring status with the show be back for her summer run, Carlivati shared: “At this point, and I can’t speak for Victoria and I can’t speak for the show, and this is not an official announcement in any capacity, but I will say at this point, there is not an end date. We are working with Victoria to keep the story going and keep Ben (Rob Scott Wilson) and Ciara’s love story alive.”

Cin fans should note that Carlivati added, “I would encourage the audience to remember that they (Cin) have an important anniversary coming up this summer that may figure into their story, so she will be back sooner than you know.”

So, happy to know there will be more of Ben and Ciara? Where you upset to see Ciara exit the canvas with Theo? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
