Heather Lindell Crushes It As Jan Spears Returns On The DOOL App’s ‘Last Blast Reunion’

Photo: JPI

On Thursday’s release of the 7th installment of the DOOL app’s digital series, Last Blast Reunion, it marked the first full episode featuring Heather Lindell in her return as the villainess and twisted, Jan Spears.

And as viewers of the series will note, Jan was the mean girl back in the day who had a thing for Shawn (Jason Cook, now Brandon Beemer) and back in 2004-2005 she kept the young man locked in a cage as her love slave as she went off the rails.

Well, as Last Blast Reunion fans will note in the 2020 version, Jan has kidnapped Shawn (Beemer) and this time he is shirtless and tied to a bed, as we learn just what Jan’s twisted plot is for the “Last Blast Crew”.

We won’t spoil the rest, but suffice to say, what a fun breath of fresh air it is to see Lindell do her thing, and remind us all why she can play cray-cray with the best of them.  Make sure to download the DOOLapp to see Jan try to take down the “crew”.  And, be on the lookout on Friday on the app for a sit-down interview with Lindell.

So, what do you think of seeing Heather as Jan Spears again? Would you love to see her jump back on the airshows as well sometime down the line, if she does or doesn’t get her comeuppance? Comment below.

That’s why we call him “ReRon”. Same things, over and over.

Though to be fair, this is well within the warped character of Jan Spears to do such a thing.

Of course, I haven’t seen any of this web series yet, and unless it pops up on NBC.com (like the Chad & Abby stuff did) I don’t plan on it. I don’t watch “TV” on a tiny little phone screen with my ancient Devil eyes.

Only Ron would bring back the most useless, pointless character in the show’s history. Who is next…Alex North?? I have been scared to EVEN mention the name Jan anywhere near the name Spears since the summer of 2017 when Ron took over Days. I knew if he caught wind of a random, unconnected psycho from years past, he would gladly bring her back. Dont we think the show is just a little top heavy right now with female psychopaths who cant take a hint?? The Salem Library really needs to invest in a copy of “He’s Just Not That Into… Read more »

You realize this is a limited role on a one-off web series that’s almost concluded, and not on the actual show? Of course you do.

Does she still not carry the name that shall not be mentioned???? Channing…your murder mystery was one of the most intricately plotted in daytime history! The writing, the acting, the production…wow!!!!! Any story involving Jan Spears ….. not so much!! So I haven’t been watching this Last Blast…obviously they are all not dead. Is it a dream of Jan’s, or a nightmare of one of the other characters?

Visually it started off looking promising. Then the story started and was pointless. It became quite silly and then not worth it. I guess it worked on paper. It didn’t on film.

Didn’t Jan tie up Jason Cook to a bed shirtless already? So second verse, same as first, only about 15 years later and this time its Brandon Beemer. Although I’m not complaining about seeing him shirtless.

DAYS Wally Kurth, Mary Beth Evans & Chandler Massey Take You Behind the Scenes of Kayla and Justin’s Wedding

On Wednesday’s heartbreaking episode of Days of our Lives, viewers saw just how the nuptials of Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Justin (Wally Kurth) eventually wound up!

Justin told Kayla that Steve (Stephen Nichols) still loves her, which put a halt to the proceedings and ended the romantic relationship between the two dear friends, who found love with one another following Adrienne’s (Judi Evans) death, and Kayla believing Steve did not want her back.

Now, The DOOL app has posted a rare behind the scenes view of the making of the wedding – with moments from the key scenes, rehearsals and interviews with the cast involved.

Chandler Massey (Will) weighs-in on Will’s debut as a wedding officiant and how that went south, while Mary Beth Evans and Wally Kurth shared why they loved this storyline so much.

Wally expresses how the last six months have been some of the best storylines of his soap career, while Mary Beth says that Justin and Kayla’s relationship was so adult and that in real life, both actors have known about people who fall in love with their dear friend, after losing their significant other whether it be by divorce, or death, or whatever the circumstance.

If you don’t already have the DOOL app on your mobile device to watch the segment, you can get more info to download here.

We will have more to say on the memorable performances at Michael Fairman TV later in the week.

So, what did you think of Kayla and Justin’s wedding and the fallout? Comment below.
