Ew, why? Stop trying to trash up our soaps. No wonder the industry doesn’t take soap actors seriously.

Chris

Seriously? Soap actors NEVER were taken seriously, going all the way back to the 60s. It has nothing to do with a reality star making one guest appearance. Give me a break.

A Kardashian was on OLTl and was terrible…reality stars are all terrible!!!

The good thing about reality stars is they make soap stars look like they are Shakespearean trained (which some are).

Cast Kris Kardashian as Dina Abbott, that would be terrific. I adore Kris she is a terrific business woman. Her acting could be good, she will have scenes with Eileen Davidson, Peter Bergman and Beth Maitland. Imagine the fireworks lol.

hi CC …
well, Y&R needs some trash LOL
It would be great if she came to Y&R to be in the research lab of the hospital with a flesh eating venereal disease ahaaa!
and stitch could save her.

Alan
Alan

The only way I would be interested in her appearance is if she took Stitch with her on her way out of town…

Now, su….that’s funny. Good one.
We don’t need the soaps to give us laughs, SuzieQ. We’ve got you!!!!
Stitch? I doubt he knows the difference between a suture and a stitch. Ha!!

Addison

Wait a minute, Alan. You mean you do not find the naval gazing contest which is transpiring between Stitch and Abby to be utterly fascinating?

I remember the day when soaps hired professional trained actors…New York soaps often got good actors from the stage…todays soaps are a joke when it comes to casting and no one is laughing-or watching like they used to-guess ill go watch Manniquin-by the way many of todays actors would make great window displays as manniquins!!!

Unfortunately Jim, so true. Remember the cast from Ryan’s Hope, Edge of Night , heck, as you said all the New York based soaps!

Instead of giving us a worn down alcoholic whatever they could give us the Chippendales!!
12 physically perfect male struttin their stuff would be the correct way to entertain.

((I should be running the soaps! I would not bore you with old housewives showing off all their plastic surgeries but with Magic Mike !
I would rock it with interesting stuff!

I just wish Stitch had turned out to be the Newman leak.
Then we could change his nickname to Snitch!

I think this will be a fun experience. Y&R has had many different people make guest appearances on the show. Victor had that football player on the show as one of the spokespeople for his event in Newman Towers. Ashley deserves a little of the same. I like Erika Jayne Girardi. She gets looked at negatively because of her images in videos but from the scenes I have watched her in on the Real Housewives franchise she is one smart cookie with confidence. Love it, can’t wait.

Addison

I would be more excited to learn that Ashely was going to get a new love interest in order to make her a more interesting and viable character on this daytime drama.
How many times must we endure Ashley butting into her two brothers’ business because she has no life of her own? The pathetic thing is one brother is pushing forty while the other is pushing sixty–her acting like their over bearing mother is wince inducing to say the least.

Celia
Celia

Actually the ‘other’ brother is well over sixty. Ashley is pushing sixty. He is a grandpapa…..Keemo must have kids, somewhere in Nowhereland.
Shameful how she has no storyline of which to speak.
I love Eileen/Ashley. She is just hanging on, bounced around and made to look like Auntie Em.

Addison
Addison

True, Peter Bergman is well into his sixties but I am pretty sure he is playing a man in his fifties.
In any case, both Jack and Billy really do not need Ashely to play mother hen at their ages. I fully expect Ashely to ground both of them while depriving them of their cell phones.

TAKE THE TRASH OUT OF GC!!!!

Ugh.

Gimmicky appearances like these take you right out of the story. The only good guest stars on soaps have been the ones with real acting experience who have committed to an actual arc or recurring character (Arlene Dahl as Lucinda King on OLTL; Barbara Rush as Nola Orsini on AMC; Donna Mills as Madeline Reeves on GH; Dorothy Maguire as Cora Miller on Y&R; Farley Granger as Earl Mitchell on ATWT; and Ava Gardner as Ruth Galveston on KNOTS LANDING).

When Sean was brought on to DAYS, not only did he get involved in what would end up being a love triangle with several iterations. but so much more than that, especially since DAYS tackled a pro athlete coming out, and a Japanese American at that, who feared he would not be accepted by his family if they knew the truth about him.  Christopher won the hearts of so many viewers and cast members at DAYS including: his longtime scene partners: Chandler Massey (Will), Freddie Smith (Sonny), and Paul’s on-screen father, Drake Hogestyn (John Black).

Christopher took to Instagram to share his parting thoughts as he exits the show on today’s episode of DAYS: “It’s been an amazing 4 years with @nbcdays 🙂 I am so honored to have the opportunity to bring Paul Narita to life, a Japanese American Gay Professional Baseball Player. An ally to LGBTQ and Just as important an ambassador for Diversity. Representation is so important because we all have an equal place and we all are an important resource to America’s history, not one more important than the other. Change comes when we understand that. Thank you @nbc for taking a chance with me. Thank you Bruce Evans and Ken Corday and Marnie Saitta, Albert Alarr and Janet Rider, Jennifer Sinclair… the list goes on and on. To all the cast and crew on Days, my extended family, thank you! I’ve grown so much with you and created such wonderful memories. To the fans, none of this would be possible without you. All my love and thanks.  My final farewell on Days… whoa. I will miss you all, my home, my beginning. Until Next Time.‬”
