Is Rapper RIFF RaFF Spoofing James Franco's Version of Him On One Life to Live?

Here’s a clever little bit of casting news! When rapper RIFF RaFF taped scenes this week of One Life to Live in their Connecticut studios, he played a fictional shady Miami art dealer by the name of “Jamie Franko”! Sound familiar?  That’s because the people at Prospect Park and One Life to Live apparently gave a little nudge to Oscar nominee James Franco because in the past, RiFF RaFF had claimed that Franco’s character in the controversial movie Spring Breakers is based on him — a charge Franco sort of denied!

According to, “While Franco did admit, in an interview with GQ, that Riff Raff “was one of a number of people we looked at” for inspiration for his character, a cornrows’d, gold-toothed hustler named Alien, he has said a Florida rapper named Dangeruss was his real muse. Franco elaborated on Dangeruss’ impact on his character in the Harmony Korine-directed film at length in a self-penned story for MTV.  Riff Raff has been pretty public with his feelings about Franco’s public statements.”

So are the peeps at One Life jockeying to get James Franco to Llanview?  Is this just good juicy PR?  What do you think of RiFF RaFF playing the role of “Jamie Franko”?  Let us know your thoughts!

GH is a joke, it’ll be cancelled soon, but unlike OLTL and AMC.. it won’t continue online. Enjoy it while you can!

GH a joke? How? Its the only soap getting the most tv coverage, the ratings are up, and is the most talked about! OLTL sounds great but we wont know til we see it or if itll get good ratings! Maybe itll be the joke? I want both GH and OLTL to be success stories…in spite of abc we should continue to support the genre not knock it down by hoping one gets cancelled! If i dont like OLTL and stop watching it im still going to wish it gets enough viewers to keep it successful for years to come. Supporting the genre no matter which serial we like or dont like is what we should agree on and be doinf…for awhile there it almost looked like we were going to loose all the soaps 4ever! Now there is a successful turnaround with all soaps doing better ratingwise and PP finally reviving AMC&OLTL but instead of everyone being happy most sound like theyd rather see it all fail? THEY ARE THE JOKE!!!

Right this is the final cut for One Life For Sorry Excuse For A Soap
And guess what If PP successes ABC will pocket money from it.
So watch OLTL 2.0 ABC still wins.

GH will continue to air online and on screen!!!

        Enjoy you Porno Park

    That’s not James Franco o.0
James Franco is a professional working with GH talented actors
And unless Rift Raft is a psychotic serial killer that brutally raped a woman during her honeymoon
I don’t see the similarities James Franco is talent
    General Hospital is Gold
One Life To Cheep Imitation Of A Soap

Back off James Franco he is for General Hospital

You are all missing the point with this. It’s not about GH at all. They never mentioned Franco from GH. They are talking just about the actor. He was recently in a movie called Spring Breakers and his character looked like this tragic RIFF RaFF person.

B&B’s Supervising Producer, Casey Kasprzyk Shares: “Just Finished Viewing Our First Produced Episode Since Starting Production Back Up!”

In a tweet late on Thursday, the supervising producer of The Bold and the Beautiful, Casey Kasprzyk, shared his enthusiasm at completing the first major hurdle for the soap going back into production during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Showing a viewing copy on disc of the first new episode produced for B&B in months, Casey said: “Just finished viewing our first produced episode since starting production back up! So proud of Team Bold & Beautiful. Great shows airing soon”

The disc had airshow number #8321 on it, and a question mark as to when it will make it to air.

The fact that The Bold and the Beautiful is the first daytime drama to get one new episode completed is a step forward amidst the spike in COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles County and the state of California.

Now soap fans will have to wait and see if General Hospital and The Young and the Restless begin their productions in the middle of July; as last projected by both series, or if there will be further delays due to the ongoing crisis for the safety of everyone involved at the shows.

So, excited to learn Casey’s news that there is a new episode of B&B on the horizon for viewers to see? Comment below.

‘Strahan, Sara and Keke’ Canceled by ABC; Show Aired In Timeslot That Once Housed ‘All My Children’

No matter a network tries to do, replacing All My Children, which ran for 41 years on ABC has remained as everyone that follows the world of daytime drama knows, problematic.  Now come word via Page Six that Strahan, Sara and Keke has been canceled.

The show hosted by Michael Strahan, Sara Haines and Keke Palmer if you recall, replaced the foodie show, The Chew which ran for seven seasons and was the first show to air in the timeslot that belonged for over four decades to All My Children.

Back in March of this year, Strahan, Sara and Keke took a break to make way for ABC’s News  Pandemic: What You Need to Know, a daily coronavirus report anchored by Amy Robach, Dr. Jen Ashton and sometimes TJ Holmes.

However, because the show did well in that two-week experimental run it morphed into GMA 3: What You Need to Know.  The new version of the show also talked about hot topics in the current news cycle, as well.

ABC’s Catherine McKenzie began producing the “GMA3” show four months ago and the network officially announced her as Executive Producer of the program on Thursday.

While ABC has yet to officially announce Strahan, Sara and Keke is over, a spokesperson told Page Six: “We’re proud of our teams at ‘SSK’ and ‘GMA3’ and how quickly they transitioned to producing a daily show to give people the news and information they need during an unprecedented pandemic, and conversations continue about how the show will evolve in the months ahead.”

It appears that Strahan, Sara and Keke won’t be returning; the future as many of their staff have transitioned over to ‘GMA 3’ with producers from ABC News Live, (the streaming division), helmed by McKenzie.

As for the futures of Strahan, Haines and Palmer; Strahan will continues to host Good Morning America, and they are all actively under contract with the network.

So, what do you think of  ‘Strahan, Sara and Kek’e being replaced by ‘GMA 3: What You  Need to Know’?  How long do you think that show will last in the timeslot once taken up by residents of Pine Valley? Comment below.

The Young and the Restless Pushes Back Production Restart Date Due To COVID-19 Spike

As the coronavirus pandemic is spiking again in LA County and California, CBS’ Daytime-Emmy winning The Young and the Restless has now postponed their previously announced goal of a production restart of July 6th to now eyeing July 13th as their new start date.  Deadline first broke the news.

But all of this could change, given that California Governor Gavin Newsom and LA County health officials have come forward that the spike of COVID-19 cases, test positivity and hospitalization rates in California have given the Governor serious concerns, so much so that now he is tightening restrictions again for the state to include: once again shutting down indoor dining, closing all bars, indoor movie theatres, as well as all beaches being closed for the 4th of July holiday.

Just last Friday, Y&R picked up the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series at the 47th annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

General Hospital is still eyeing a mid-July production restart, The Bold and the Beautiful had gone back into production and Days of our Lives still has episodes banked into the fall, and at this time have not yet announced plans to restart production.

So, do you think Y&R can safely go back into production in a few weeks given the COVID-19 uptick in new cases? Comment below,
