Claire is set to exit Salem next week on NBC’s Days of our Lives ending the run of Australian-born actress Isabel Durant.

Isabel took over the role from Olivia Rose Keegan, who had previously won a Daytime Emmy for her work.

Durant began on DAYS back in the fall of 2020, after Keegan played the role for the five previous years.

According to Soaps.com, look for Claire to get an offer she can’t refuse and head out of Salem on the upcoming Friday, August 20th episode of the NBC sudser.

So, will you miss Isabel as Claire? Comment below.

Word here in Hell is that Theo won’t be going back to South Africa alone. At this rate, there will be more Salem natives on the African continent than actually in Salem before too long.

And since we all know (from spoilers about the Peacock spinoff) that Ciara’s amnesia will be cured miraculously any day now, well why the Hell wouldn’t Theo want to take one of his actual ex-girlfriends with him??

Kind of a bummer though… I actually liked this version of Claire. Even if she was literally older than her own mother should be (a 28 year old, playing the daughter of somebody who was born in 1994… that’s crazier math than the whole Daniel “Eggman” Jonas saga!)

That’s not how it works. When a character is SORASed their birthdate changes.

I really liked her take on Claire. The character was more likable and more mature as played by her. I will miss her and wish her the best of luck!

I really like Isabel’s portrayal of Claire. If she must go, I’m glad they are not doing another Claire re-cast. Maybe she can return one day. Wishing her the best.

She’s a wonderful actress but she was never Claire. It just did not work.

To each their own! I prefer her to the original Claire.

Disappointing. As right as Beyond Salem seems to be going (for the most part), Days of Our Lives keeps getting it wrong.

Personally, I like her. She did a great job playing a more mature Claire. I hope they bring Claire back to Salem soon no matter who plays her. I’m pretty invested in the character and will miss her storyline.

This is a bit of a shocker, maybe not. Though, I felt like DAYS was truly invested in the “Claire” character by recasting the role. While I am not a fan of Isabel Durant’s Claire, at all. I wish her the best. She tried. I do hope this paves the way for the return of Emmy award winner, Olivia Rose Keegan to reclaim her part as Claire later in the year. On-contract, too. Return to DAYS Olivia!!! You were brilliant as Claire Brady.

Jeremy,
So sorry, but did not like O.R.K in the role of Claire. Any reasons would be hurtful or insulting to her.

So, why bother and comment on my post?

Jeremy
Oh, I don’t know , I guess I just felt dissagreeable that day.

I respectfully disagree! Isabelle was much better in the role! Olivia chose to leave!

I’ve already read your other posts and opinions on your preference of the actress in this discussion thread. Also, do note that the current actress’s name is spelled… Isabel!!!

Phil,
Watch out he’s after you too, and be sure and check your spelling from now on, ha,ha.

I believe we will see “our” Ms. Keegan, ala revolving door. which is what i truly thought, as she had landed a “recurring” role ? and for time off. KUDOS to @DAYS for all the in and outs… truly trying to mine the past and present co-workers. Olivia Rose is a mindset , untapped… oh she just captivates AND REELs her own

I wish Isabel the best… she got her “feet wet” so to speak ?!?! hopefully nested, and cache herself. take care

dag! okay , out the door

1. Olivia rose Keegan… doors open
2. I’d like to see the nuRECAST of Sonny… make a few trips to Salem. have to
3. “beyond DAYS” okay… i’ll watch… just so beyond the moon that Christie Clark is back w/Austin. oh lordy.. @DAYS should you HIRE back a new leading lady in Carrie… PLEASE lets do it !!!! she’s a marvel… Rafe is her MAN !

What a shame I really liked her.I wonder who if any will replace her.

Yes, will the old Clair be coming back?

Yes, I like this Clair. I wish her best of luck. Are they bringing the old Clair back?

No, “Old Claire” chose to leave.

She did okay, but Olivia was better. Sad to see Claire leave though.

I will miss Isabel Durant’s Claire. I hope I see her in other projects.

She is such a great onscreen presence. Why on earth couldn’t she have become a major character?
Perhaps she could return soon with news of finding ( SOMEONE OR SOMETHING) that DOOL simply cannot live without. Even a look-alike character would be good.

Yes I will. But I hope she returns soon

Isabel Durant! You will be missed! Thank you for your fantastic work!

I, for one, was initially disappointed that a new actress (Durant) would be playing Claire. But Durant won me over instantly. She’s a great actress who plays the role believably, and she has great chemistry with the other actors.

I have said this before: If DOOL could maintain any sense of consistency from one month to the next, the viewers might be more invested in the soap. Instead, month after month, cast changes are fast and furious. There is never any stability…

I hope that better days are ahead for Isabel Durant and that we see her onscreen again soon, if not back on DOOL, then elsewhere.

Kristian Alfonso Returns to Days of our Lives for Tribute to The Late Bill Hayes

After a few weeks of Days of our Lives fans being upset that Kristian Alfonso (Hope Williams) was not on the first list of initial returns for Doug Williams’ funeral and episodes honoring his portrayer, the late Bill Hayes, comes word that the popular star is back and taping scenes.

Kristian reported to work on the Peacock streaming soap opera on Monday, April 22nd. She shared how important it is for her to be back for this particular return to the show that made her a household name.

“My return is very bittersweet,” Alfonso told TV Insider,  “because it is the end of an era with Bill gone. So to return to Days is very sad. I am appreciative that they came to me to include me in their series of shows honoring Doug and I’m very happy to see everyone, but I’m entering the studio with a heavy heart.”

It was back in 1983 that Kristian first debuted as Doug’s daughter, and now 41 years later looking back at it, and her time with Bill Hayes is very emotional for her.

“I remember my first scenes with him/ He was very loving, very welcoming. That he was very talented and an incredible actor and an icon, that all goes without saying, but my personal relationship and my working relationship with Bill, it was home,” expressed Alfonso. “Doing the scenes with Bill, I felt like I was with my dad because there was so much warmth and reality.”

Photo: JPI

Alfonso did express some deep regret, in that she had wanted to work with Bill Hayes during her last appearance on the soap back in 2023, but according to the iconic actress, there was something in the works but it never materialized.  “I’m sad that I did not get the opportunity to do the storyline that Ron (Carlivati, head writer) had planned/ It was great; we returned to Salem to reunite with our families and I would have had father/daughter scenes with Billy. What Ron had written was beautiful and emotional and it was a fantastic story. I was 100 percent for it and the fans would have loved it.”

As for if Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope will be back on-screen together anytime soon, Kristian would only say, “What I will say is don’t give up hope.” Doug’s passing and memorial episodes will stream later this year come late November into December.

So, are you happy to learn that Kristian Alfonso is back taping episodes surrounding Doug’s memorial episodes? Comment below.
