Jack Wagner Returns to The Bold and the Beautiful to Reprise the Role of Nick Marone
Turns out, The Bold and the Beautiful had more than one piece of ‘big news’ to drop this week as previewed by its Supervising Producer, Casey Kasprzyk. After receiving a three-year renewal pick-up from CBS on Tuesday, on Thursday, the series revealed longtime fan favorite Jack Wagner is returning to the soap opera reprising his role as Nick Marone!
According to Deadline, Wagner is back for a story arc and began taping at the set of The Bold and the Beautiful on April 10th. Viewers can look for Jack to first appear on-screen this coming June 13th.
In story, B&B previews that Nick will cross paths with his ex-love Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) when she finds herself at a crossroads after Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) dumped her for Taylor (Rebecca Budig). It seems that Brooke is feeling defeated and lost, grappling with heartbreak and the painful realization that her relationship may be irreparably broken. As she struggles with her emotions, Nick’s unexpected arrival brings a rush of memories and unresolved feelings back to the surface. His charismatic and supportive nature offers Brooke a sense of comfort and stability that she desperately needs. Their connection reignites old flames, offering Brooke a chance at happiness and a fresh start away from the shadow of her past with Ridge.

Wagner first played Nick Marone back in 2003 and was revealed to be the son of shipping magnate Massimo Marone played by the late Joseph Mascolo. We also learned that Ridge’s biological father is Massimo and not Eric, making Nick and Ridge half-brothers. Nick was always a crusty sea captain who now runs Marone Industries.
In 2012 Jack vacated the role, but appeared on the series for its 35th anniversary in a special episode which centered on the loves of Brooke’s life in March of 2022. And just like everyone on The Bold and the Beautiful, the character of Nick had relationships with various women on the show including: Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones), Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Taylor Hayes (formerly Hunter Tylo).

The popular star is best known for his roles as Frisco Jones on General Hospital, Warren Lockridge on Santa Barbara, Dr. Peter Burns on Melrose Place and as Bill Avery in Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart which just was renewed for its 13th season which will air sometime in 2026.
So, excited that Jack Wagner is rejoining The Bold and the Beautiful as Nick Marone and will give Brooke a boost of confidence and potentially some loving after Ridge left her? Share your thoughts on Jack’s upcoming return via the comment section.
Best couple ever I’m up for this I adore JW
He’s the best one to revive Brooke and make her forget that grungy old Ridge.Wonder if he’ll have his son with him? I have missed Jack Wagner on all his shows. They mention Frisco on GH all the time.
Make the visit permanent please he is wonderful and KKL a actor who she has chemistry with
Finally KKL can get away from the Ridge recast albatross that’s never fit since RM left. I hope the writers will separate the Forresters and Logan Families storyline wise for awhile. It’s becoming one sided and fans are tired of recycled stories.
I basically haven’t watched B&B since Ron Moss was ousted. It’s not that Ron was the world’s best actor or even that a good recast couldn’t have worked. But Ridge turning overnight into a dad bod with a barely disguised Scottish accent was just a bridge way, way too far for me.
I wish this could do something to pull me back in for the first time in over five years, but it will not. The writing is on the wall where this storyline is concerned, and it’ll end how it always does: Nick won’t be chosen, and he’ll leave town broken-hearted. And we’ll ignore the presence of Jack, too.
Unfortunately you are right
Once again, spot on!
Anything to get Brooke away from Ridge and that insecure Taylor.
If they aren’t going to address Nick and Brooke’s son, Jack, or where he is, or play Nick’s history with Katie. Taylor AND Brooke properly, this is a wasted return.
And yall can say ByeBye Bill. Yall know this show doesn’t do 3 big leading men at once on screen.
Still got it after all these years I remember Nick as a fun feisty sexy man Hope it’s the same The soaps need a sexy adult man
It’s a shame, the new actor who is training Joss at the WSB is a spittin image of Jack Wagner.
That’s funny, I was thinking today, how much he looks like the actor that plays Daniel on Y&R
Senior citizens playing musical beds with the same people for 30 years is gross and ridiculous.
What are you, twelve? Jack Wagner is 65, Rebecca Budwig is 51, Thorsten Kaye is 59, and Katherine Kelly Lang is 63. Two are in their 50s; two in their 60s. None of these people are “senior citizens” in the actual sense of the word. And soaps? They’re for adults. If you want to watch “kids” go watch reruns of 90210. The only think “gross and ridiculous” is your comment.
Right on!
It’s not the age of the characters to me. It’s the repeat of the same old storyline. Watching Brooke throw herself at Ridge after he has chosen Taylor over her yet again is so repetitive. Brooke has no pride. Asking Ridge to hire Hope back knowing that Steffy will treat her daughter like trash is insane. Why couldn’t the favor she asked of Ridge be to let her daughter leave with her own clothing line that Hope worked hard on? Despite her age Brooke is still the star struck teenager looking up at the Forrester mansion and saying I want to marry the prince instead being a grown woman who sticks up for herself and her children.
Hope For The Future belongs to Forrester. The only thing that belongs to Hope is her name, endorsements, etc. It’s not something she can just pack up and take with her, even the designs aren’t hers. If push came to shove, I really have no idea where she’d stand legally.
I would think the Forresters would be delighted to get Hope and Brooke out of their hair and get some stability in their private lives by giving Hope her clothing line and letting her and mommy hit the door. Ridge seeing Brooke every day at work is nothing but trouble. Say what you will about the new soap Behind the Gates it deal with real issues and behaviors that aren’t stuck in the 1950s.
I don’t think I’ve mentioned BTG, but it’s growing on me, but now that you mention it, Grandma and Grandpa Dupree do seem to live in the past, which seems to be brought up, one way or another in any scene they are in. Thanks for inadvertently, calling it to my attention.
Omg I can’t wait till Nick return to the show ! And boost up Brook’s morale and give her a self-confidence in her self and forget about what’s his name Ridge that’s right Ridge ! Boone IMO deserves a lot better instead of being played around by what’s his name. Going back and forth up and down like a see-saw! Good I hope deep down and I know he will Make my Brook very happy and the love she actually deserves!

‘Days of Our Lives’ Officially Confirms Ryan Quan Returning as Co-Head Writer Beginning in July
There is definitely a shake-up going down at the writing team at Peacock’s Days of Our Lives. Now, the long-running soap opera has confirmed, what has been previously reported, that current General Hospital breakdown writer, Ryan Quan is heading back to his old stomping grounds in Salem. This time as the series co-head writer.
The appointment of Quan comes with the official news that current co-head writer, Paula Cwikly, who was previously rumored to be departing the series, is not. She is staying with the soap opera and transitioning to a consultant role with the show. Now, Quan will join current co-head writer, Jeanne Marie Ford to steer the ship for the characters on the canvas.
On Wednesday, TV Insider, reported the official confirmation and that Quan will return to DAYS next month in July. THE FUTURE OF DAYS OF OUR LIVES
Since Days of our Lives unusual production schedule tapes ten-months ahead of air, the new creative team’s vision led by Quan and Jeanne Marie Ford are not expected to stream on Peacock until mid-2027.
Days of Our Lives is currently renewed through its 63rd season. The former NBC soap opera which transitioned to Peacock in September of 2022, celebrate its 60th anniversary in November of 2025.
The writing regime change comes after NBCUniversal Media Chairman Matt Strauss revealed that Peacock is expected to turn a profit for the first time in the current quarter, punctuating their investment with the enduring soap opera on its platform.
As for Quan, his knowledge of Salem is tremendous. Ryan joined Days of Our Lives as a writer’s assistant in 2007 after some time over at Passions. He then spent two decades and held every position on the writing team where he previously served as co-head writer from 2016-17 alongside Dena Higley.
Later, when Ron Carlivati took over as head writer for 7 years in 2017, Quan became his right-hand man and main story consultant for his deep knowledge of the history and the legacy of the show. After Carlivati exited the show in 2024, General Hospital hired Quan in 2025.
So, what do you think about DAYS making it official with Ryan Quan as the new co-head writer of the series alongside Jeanne Marie Ford. What do you think about the fact we won’t see the changes on-screen till 2027? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

ABC Announces ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Texas Spin-Off Gets Straight-to-Series Order
In a surprise move, coming a week after ABC unveiled its 2026-2027 fall television schedule, Grey’s Anatomy is getting a new spinoff co-created by the original series’ creator/executive producer Shonda Rhimes.
The new untitled medical drama will be written and executive produced by Rhimes and Grey’s Anatomy showrunner/executive producer Meg Marinis under the Shondaland and 20th Television umbrella. In addition, long-running ‘Grey’s’ star Ellen Pompeo will also serve as an EP of the spinoff.
The upcoming new series will debut midseason in 2027. This will be the first of Grey’s franchise not set in urban city or West Coast locale. According to Deadline, the new “edgy drama is about a team at a rural West Texas medical center — the last chance for care before miles of nowhere.”

In a statement, Marinis shared, “I am incredibly excited to expand the Grey’s Anatomy universe. This opportunity will bring new characters and stories to life that will embody the same heart, emotion and connection audiences have loved from Grey’s for more than two decades — all set in my home state of Texas. I am so grateful to Shonda Rhimes for creating this dynamic world and feel so fortunate that I get to be a part of it.”
A NEW GROUP OF DOCTORS IN RURAL TEXAS
The Texas spinoff will feature a a new group of doctors, but there will be some connection to the OG Grey’s Anatomy and possibly to Debbie Allen’s character of Catherine Fox. The amount of episodes in the series order has not yet been determined. Previous Grey’s Anatomy spinoffs were the defunct Station 19 and Private Practice.
Previously, Grey’s Anatomy was renewed for its upcoming 23rd season while the amount of episodes is unclear. The last two seasons the series produced 18 episodes.
It should also be noted, Grey’s Anatomy and the Texas spinoff would likely share a time period, which requires limited-run orders for both with Grey’s premiering in the fall, followed by the spinoff on the midseason programming block.
So, what do you think about a Texas spinoff of Grey’s Anatomy coming in 2027? Who would you like to see from daytime or primetime as some of the featured roles as new doctors? Put on your casting directors hat and let us know via the comment section below.
