Jaime Lynn Bauer Reveals She’s Returning to Days of our Lives

Photo JBauerFacebook

As the story is heating up for Days of our Lives’ Deveraux clan look for none other than Jaime Lynn Bauer to be making some key appearances on the long-running NBC soap opera just in time for February sweeps.

Jaime took to her Facebook page to share the dates she would be airing, and to share how DAYS is handling keeping everyone on the set safe during Covid-19.

Bauer expressed: “I shot 6 shows for Days of Our Lives in beginning of December. Under COVID rules with 2 tests at the beginning of each work week and one test every day after that. You come into the building, test then go back out and wait in your car until your test comes back negative and then they wave you back in. A mask is worn everywhere. Rehearsing your lines with another actor happens over the phone. Once you are called to your set, your mask can only be taken off once you are on your set and doing your camera rehearsal.

We come into the studio already having done our own makeup and hair (to the best of our ability) as we can only be in a makeup or hair chair for 15 minutes! And they set timers! The strange new world of Hollywood! Anyway, the shows begin airing on February the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 9th, 10th and 11th.”

Jaime last reprised the role of Laura back in 2018.

So, how do you think Laura’s return will figure into the story?  We have our thoughts!  What are yours?  Comment below.

Her stories in the 90’s were the best starting with Vivian coming across her in the sanitarium and the two of them escaping and after Laura’s showdown with the original Kate ( Deborah Adair) revealing her to be Bill’s mistress. I would’ve had Laura on more regularly in recent years.

I am anxious to see how Laura’s scenes with nu-Jennifer play out.

I LOVE Jaime Lyn Bauer…I no longer watch Days but I will tune in on the days mentioned just to see JLB…I do prefer her playing Lorie Brooks on Y&R which I also no longer watch but I will tune into any show to see JLB…

A Devil is going to call this right now….

Laura is Gwen’s mother. Jack is her father. It’s a matter of record that the two of them hooked up when they were both spending time at the same mental health facility.

Of course there was no mention of a kid ever existing, but since when has that ever stopped them from writing in a long lost kid? Who (given the accent) must have been shipped off to the UK the minute she was born.

In Laura’s defense, she didn’t know she was hooking up with her own son in law at the time, as he was using a fake name (“Clark” or something like that) and – admittedly a Devil’s memory is a little fuzzy on this part – this might have been during the Mark Valley years where Jack didn’t really look like himself.

I do believe you are right. With Laura being a Psychiatrist and Abby no longer needing that kind of help, I immediately figured that she must be related to Gwen. Most of us believed she is Jack’s daughter and subsequently being Abby’s sister, but why does she hate her so much? It’s not Abby’s fault for being born. So they are evidently writing in a pregnancy which Laura didn’t even know about, pretty farfetched.

I would love to see her return permanently. She is one of the last living legacy Horton characters. I always thought there was a lot of story for her character, including a potential romance with Roman. I’d love to see a few more go-rounds with Kate too. I love JLB!

Wow. Only 15 minutes in the hair and makeup chair.

Looking forward to seeing her return. I hope she has scenes with Kate.

I have LOVED LOVED LOVE this “lady” for years… AND if I had to think about it… I probably mean… how much I’d love to know Jamie Lyn Bauer… her stamina, backbone, elegance and stoic thru soooo much intrigue… AND yeah, I only know her work @DAYS… and how much her rise to prominence @Y&R. she left not at the peak of her career… to have kids and take time to raise them. her meteoric rise @DAYS never faltered. I will give her on screen daughter’ chops… this mother/daughter duo carried them both. I still say it’s time for Melissa Reeves to hang it up. we do not need her. Kristian Alfonso was fired PERIOD so can Jenny Bear

Grans Jewel ok… leave

i welcome every opportunity for ALL the “comings and goings” @DAYS, because laura Horton is beloved enchanting and there’s a radiance about her presence. Cady McClain is mowing them over… aren’t we flat out still impressed
