Jess Walton, Jason Thompson and Kate Linder Reveal Their Favorite Moments In Y&R 11K Opening Clip Package!

The fabulous Y&R opening retrospective 11,ooo episode clip packages continued on Wednesday.

This time the honors went to Jess Walton (Jill) and Kate Linder (Esther) who recalled their scenes with the iconic Jeanne Cooper as Katherine Chancellor, and Jason Thompson who talked about coming on board the number one soap as Billy Abbott.  With memorable moments for both the characters of Jill and Esther with the Grand Dame of Genoa City revealed, Walton shared she had the most fun in scenes with Cooper, as did Linder.  Watching some of these clips certainly brought back fond memories of the beloved Katherine and Jill combination, and Esther and Katherine, as well.

Jason Thompson, as the newest Billy Abbott, related what he has cherished the most during his run thus far: “My favorite moment was my first day, meeting everybody for the first time.  The people I was working with make daytime go round. Billy has no boundaries on him, and I feel I can go from one scene to the other with a different arc every single time.  I feel like I have been through a lot of ups and downs with this guy already.”  Jess Walton expressed that: “For 30 years now, I have been thanking God that I get to do this,”as being part of the fabric of Y&R.

Now after the jump watch Walton, Thompson, and Linder plus two other Y&R 11K packages from earlier this week.  Then get set for today’s intro sequence featuring: Lauralee Bell (Christine), Christian LeBlanc (Michael), and Doug Davidson (Paul).  Let us know … what did you think of Jess and Kate remembering Jeanne Cooper?  Which retrospective clip package have you enjoyed the most so far?  There are more coming your way through September 2nd via Y&R!

Not seen any of this but just reading about it makes my blood boil? Where the hell is TB/Lauren? Why is she not included ? I know she loves the show I do not understand if anybody out there has an answer let me know????

Patience, dear friend.
Each episode dedicates a few minutes before SHOWTIME for the actors/actresses to have their say, Kay.
Not everyone can be included at one time. Lauren came on today, and I loved the different hair dos. Wonderful actress. LOL.

Kay, you probably now know this, but Lauren was on today recounting her memories and it was fabulous. She said the best thing about being Lauren is all the changing hair styles.
They showed her with a mullet!
I LOVE the old footage–it’s great fun to watch.
I am not all giddy about seeing new characters speak of their favorite memories of last week, however.

On 8/26/16, they showed clips from Paul, Lauren, and Christine, along with Michael. They clips of their relationships, Lauren’s various hairstyles, and favorite scenes of Michael and Paul. I agree with you. I was annoyed with the clips of Abby and Stitch. Where was Tracy and Ashley as well. I am enjoing the clips though.

Thanks guys ! I guess I can turn my temperature down to lukewarm! Yes Lauren had great cat fights with Tracy and Seila.

CHILL!

I’m waiting for her as well Kay. I wonder if she’s on vacation or extended leave for some reason.

The Jill character has been very irritating, annoying, and gitter ruff..
I would have great joy in pulling off that horrible awful wig she has on her head.

It was great to see Tristan, again.. (he is much better as Scorpio)

ahaa! you know what would be fun!
If Y&R would have a wig free day … I want to see what they look like lol even take off Jack’s toupee ..
0oo and take out all the hair extions too..
Now, that would be a fun show!!!

Out of all the soap legends that have died, it is Jeanne Cooper that I truly miss..
Whenever there is a flashback of Jenne/ Katherine Chancellor It is heartwarming.

And– CONGRATS! Y&R’s 11,000, how awesome!!!

(I am really enjoying Y&R))

I don’t think that’s a wig Jill is wearing, su, albeit I did make a comment days ago ( which did not appear on the board) that Jill needed a hair cut.
Gee, su….i don’t think many characters wear wigs on Y&R. Chelsea’s hair is overwhelmingly hers. It’s too shiny and healthy to be a wig….and, the movement belies what you’re saying. I don’t think Jack wears a toupee, either. But, i can tell you that although Paul is not wearing one, that’s not his real hair.
Then there’s Lauren….that’s extension city!! Everyone else’s looks natural to me. Then again, who knows for sure.

That is PB’s hair ok he has the best hair in daytime! No wig ok

I agree with your air comment. They could title the wigless and the weaveless for the day, let the hairdressers have a day off. I am loving Jill. I always loved Jill and Colin together, but I am in true agreement that he is always and forever Robert Scorpio. If I’ve been reading different sights correctly, GH might be getting a Scorpio sighting come the fall. I hope so. I don’t know how long we will be lucky, but any sighting is better than none at all. Don’t get me started on the beautiful Jeanne Cooper. Just writing her name brings me to tears. I too am enjoing the show. Here’s to 11,000 more!!!

And JC was not a legend she was a drunk who later got her shit together don’t try to make her out to be a legend she even would be pussed

Pissed

True, Kay…. The character of Mrs. Chancellor actually killed her husband by driving their car over a cliff, during a drunken binge.
My Gran said, that subject, after a time, was not touched again.
Rest in peace Jeanne. Love.

It’s nothing against Jason Thompson because I do like him as an actor and really liked his character on Gh as Patrick but I also like him as Billy on Y&R. What I can’t understand is why he was included in the chat about favorite moment because he has only been there for a short time and I would have thought for any of the actors on that show to give a favorite moment, it would have to be the ones who have longevity and history with the show. Someone who has only been there for about 6 months wouldn’t qualify for that round-up in my eyes.

I was surprised at some of the actors they are choosing to include, but I guess if you’re there when they celebrate, they’ll include you. Plus, I think they also want to promote the actors and stories at the same time.

I like seeing the clips with Jeanne. I also like seeing clips from the past when I wasn’t watching. I like these little trips down memory lane.

unfortunately as much i love seeing flashbacks of y n r from years past…its just reminds me how embarressing the show has become in comparison
the sets and styles were so much more glamorous, the soundtrack crucial to the background… i got chills watching and hearing the scene when michael dug thru crickets apartment…
the show is so anticlimatic now… summers wedding was a snoozer yesterday…
get rid of abby, stitch , summer and luca and bring back nina and phillip jr… nina can get it on with cane and stick it to jill and phillip jr can mix it up with lily and have it revealed him and chloe had a thing again that resulted in bella!
