John Stamos Quarantining After Covid-19 Hits Set of His New Series ‘Big Shot’

Another show has had to temporarily shutdown production when an individual tested positive for the coronavirus.  This time it’s Disney + upcoming series, Big Shot, starring former General Hospital star, John Stamos (Ex-Blackie).

According to Deadline, filming has been suspended for 10 days after a positive Covid-19 surfaced as part of the regular screening protocol. Individuals who have been in proximity to the Covid-positive person have been asked to quarantine and that includes Stamos.

John took to Twitter to share the news and a bit of heart-tugging sentiment as well.  Stamos expressed: “My son went to bed last night crying and woke up crying cause he can’t be with his father.  I’m grateful to have a job, it’s a privilege at this time. I was exposed to the virus for the 3rd time, and have to isolate again for another 10 day. I feel my job is doing what they can to keep us safe. But people, please follow the rules – your actions affect so many more lives than just your own.”

Big Shot was previously suspended back in December after a different Covid-19 test came back positive.  The series only has one scene left to shoot from the second-to-last episode as well as the season finale.  When the show returns to production next week they should be able to finish up the season.

The series centers around a temperamental college basketball coach, played by Stamos, who gets fired from his job and must take a teaching and coaching job at an elite all-girls private high school.

So, what do you think about Stamos’ tweets on what so many have gone through isolating during Covid-19 for the safety of themselves and others? Will you be checking out John’s new show when it debuts? Comment below.

You want to keep from getting the covid then stay and live like a hermit because that is the only definite way you will not get it

Jane Elliot Returns to General Hospital This April

Although it was previously announced back in January (during ABC’s TCA Winter Press Tour) that Jane Elliot would be returning to General Hospital, the soap opera and Soap Opera Digest have confirmed that Jane’s first episode back will air next month on April 17th.

While Elliot won’t be a part of the Nurses’ Ball which airs the week of April 3rd, as part of the show’s 60th anniversary episodes, the Daytime Emmy-winning fan favorite will be back in action during the anniversary month and beyond.

As viewers know, Jane originally decided to retire back in 2017, and so Tracy was written off to join Luke Spencer in Europe.  Since that time, Elliot has come back to the show for a few appearances.

The last time we saw Tracy was at the beginning of 2022, when she came home to Port Charles to give the shocking and tragic news that Luke had been killed in a cable car crash.  Tracy eventually went back to Amsterdam, where they had been living, to settle his affairs following his death.

Will Tracy’s return help bring down Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) who is believed to be behind Luke’s death? Could Tracy learn Luke is really alive after all? Stay tuned.

So, excited that Jane Elliot’s return to GH is just around the corner? Comment below.
