Juan Pablo Ditches His Association with THE BACHELOR For Upcoming Nightclub Appearances!

TMZ

Oh my! Juan Pablo Galavis continues to stir up controversy even though this season of ABC’s The Bachelor is over!  The reality star is now nixing any association with the reality show for his upcoming nightclub hosting gigs! Yup, that’s right, and look at the flyer pictured here that says it all!

According to TMZ.com, “For an upcoming club appearance at The Pool After Dark in Atlantic City on March 29th — and NOWHERE on the flier does it mention The Bachelor.  And it’s no accident — sources tell us, Juan specifically instructed the casino NOT to associate him with The Bachelor in any press releases or fliers.”

In addition, Juan Pablo reportedly agreed to a 15-person meet and greet as long as one one asked him about The Bachlelor, and same rules apply to any reporters!  And apparently, Juan Pablo is receiving $20,000 dollars for his Atlantic City appearance!

What does this say about reality show stardom? What do you think of Juan Pablo’s new gig as result of his notoriety on the ABC show, but wanting no mention of it?   Comment below!

Its shows like these that dumb down America…and much of this is staged, and some who appear on them are only looking for their 15 minutes of fame but if you enjoy this fluff you are welcome to it!!!

Whats this got to do with soaps anyway…why not include serialized dramas like Ressurection and Once Upon A Time or reports on former soap stars and where they are now…like whatever happened to Jada Rowland(Doctors, Secret Storm,) or Vicki Wyndom and Jim Poyner who played Rachel and Dennis on Another World???

Amen, Jim. I was thinking the same thing when I saw this post. “The Bachelor” may be a part of ABC but it has nothing to do with Daytime (or even Primetime) soaps.

I like the idea of a “Where Are They Now?” feature…

Good ideas jimh! It looks like Michael Fairman went off topic. Of course, this is his site, so he can do anything he wants. We can’t.

Or where’s Michael T. Weiss? What happened to him? Is he OK? That’s the Mike Horton that I would like to see come back to DAYS for their 50th anniversary.

Juanny P. seems to be a pretty shallow guy who thinks rather highly of himself. Totally unimpressed with him- and not sure why he merited a piece on this page. But, my guess is he loves the attention…

Do we really need to discuss this idiot or give him any more publicity? Let him crawl into a deep dark hole and just disappear!!

the Bachelor is an insult to woman..
women prostituting themselves to get a man, so sad..
I can not understand how those women can do what they do, share a man, fight for him in a competition for love, and after giving their all they get publicly dumped and humiliated .. LOL (idiots)

After the way Chris Harrison treated him, I don’t blame him one bit. Why give the show any credit at all?

I saw part of one episode of The Bachelor because my daughter was watching it. But I DO know that if not for that show this guy would still be more of a nobody then he already is. Ridiculous!

If you look up the word “clueless” in the dictionary, there will be a picture of Juan Carlos.

He’s the type of man your mother warned you about when you first started dating. He’s selfish, self-centered and completely unaware of how his actions impact others — and he doesn’t care. Like I said… clueless.

It’s disgusting. He’s disgusting. I can not even believe he’s being invited to do anything. RUDE DISGUSTING HATER!!!!

Well he got the one thing he actually wanted from The Bachelor; recognition from the media in order to get more work. I hope he spends the money wisely on Camila’s college fund.

Network Exec, Angelica McDaniel On Y&R’s Staying Power: “We Have This Award-Winning, Ratings-Generating, Money-Making Show, And It Really Adds Value To CBS.”

This week, The Young and the Restless celebrated 30 years as the number-one rated daytime soap opera.  That is a streak of 1,560 weeks in the top spot.

Angelica McDaniel, executive vp daytime programs and syndicated program development at CBS, spoke to the Hollywood Reporter on what has made this remarkable run; attributing it to strong storytelling and a cast that includes several beloved veterans who have been around the entire time.

The executive noted that while other soaps over the years have fallen by the wayside, and even though we are down to only four surviving network soap operas, that Y&R will be around with no end in sight.

McDaniel stated, “We have this award-winning, ratings-generating, money-making show, and it really adds value to CBS. We expect it be a part of our lineup in the future.”

She also added, “The Young and the Restless has some of the best actors in the industry — not in soaps, not in daytime, but in television. We have iconic, legacy characters that have been on our show for decades. Melody Thomas Scott will be celebrating her 40th year on the show in February. Peter Bergman just reached his 30th anniversary in November. Eric Braeden started in 1980. We just have an incredible arsenal of actors who are so talented and play these characters so well that you don’t even realize they’re characters. They become people who are part of your life, part of your daily existence.”

As for the continual investment and ways the audience watches the show on various platforms, McDaniel expresed: “The great thing about daytime television is we have loyal, passionate viewers, and they really like to tune in day and date. They want to stick with their stories and see what’s happening today. … Having said that, The Young and the Restless is also one of the top streamed shows on CBS.com. As trends evolve, we are where our viewers are, and we’re making shows readily accessible so they can get their fix and follow their stories.”

So, what do you think about Y&R? Will it remain if and when all other soaps have come to theirconclusion? Do you think it will continue on for years to come, given its position at number #1? Comment below!

Jacob Young Offers Up Thoughts On Rick and Maya’s Split On The Bold and the Beautiful

As fans of CBS Daytime’s The Bold and the Beautiful know, Daytime Emmy-winner Jacob Young (Rick Forrester) has been off the canvas for some time, and the actor had gone on recurring status with the series.

Young has been busy with other projects involving acting roles, his You Tube show, and music career, but certainly is open to a return to the soap opera.

But after the cover of this week’s Soap Opera Digest hit newsstands; which indicates that Rick and Maya have split with the return on-air of Karla Mosley (Maya) (who had been off the show for maternity leave), it clearly looks like the show is moving in a different direction.

Jacob took to Twitter to offer up his feelings on the matter tweeting: “I for one am incredibly sad and disappointed. Rick and Maya have split. (Love that would never die) I loved working with Karla Mosley.  it has been the highlight of my 21 year career in daytime. TRUST ME when I say your opinion matters.”

Since that posting, fans of the couple known as #Raya, have been voicing their thoughts and sharing photos of the on-screen duo.  Young responded to one in particular saying, “Who remembers this? Gosh, I miss Maya.”  In it,the posting read: “This is heartbreaking, Raya was the only example of what true love looks like on that soap!”

Previously, B&B has told the emotional and socially-relevant love story of a transgender woman falling in love with one of the men of the wealthy and renowned Forrester family.

So, what do you think of Jacob’s comments?  Do you want Rick back on the canvas?  What should then happen next for Maya with no Rick?  Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
