Kelly Thiebaud Shares Gratitude to ‘General Hospital’ to “Get The Chance To Do It All Again, And Do it Better than Before”
Over the last 24 hours, Daytime Emmy-winner Kelly Thiebaud is feeling the love from the outpouring of support she received after the news broke that the she is on her way back to General Hospital, after being ‘killed-off’ as Dr. Britt Westbourne back in early 2023.
Speculation is high that Thiebaud is actually returning as Britt and that her mutter, Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) may have found a way to secretly resurrect her daughter (we have seen things very similar on the soaps in the past!). While ABC and GH are keeping officially mum on what, how, and with who will Thiebaud be involved with in story when she returns, it is all expected to begin sometime in July.
Following the announcement of her return to GH, Kelly took to her Instagram story and wrote, “To get the chance to do it all again, and do it better than before, I will forever be grateful to ABC, Frank Valentini (EP, GH), and all of my General Hospital family.”

Later, Thiebaud took a celebratory turn via her Instagram account when in her video, she is seen rocking out with shades on, thrilled at the response she has received from the fans, her GH co-stars, and daytime colleagues to the news of her pending arrival back to Port Charles.
Kelly reacted to the excitement posting these words accompanying the video, “You guys rock!!! I am blown away by the outpouring of love and excited from yall!! You have no idea how much this means to me. Thank you! #letsfckngo #gh”

Several of Thiebaud’s GH co-stars, dropped a comment in her Instagram post such as: Cameron Mathison (Drew) who responded saying, “Love thisssssss.” To which Kelly replied, “Thank you Cameron! Excited to work together again!” Katelyn MacMullen (Willow) added “Can’t wait!” Kelly replied, “We are going to have some fun!!”
Previously, Thiebaud first appeared on General Hospital back in 2012. She left in 2015, and then returned from 2017-18 and again for a longer run in 2020-23. It was in 2022, the actress took home the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
When the character of Britt was last seen she died next to her mother after being poisoned by the “Hook” serial killer (which later was revealed to be Heather Webber) while she was in the throes of Huntington’s disease.
So weigh-in: Do you think Kelly will be playing Dr. Britt Westbourne? What has GH up their sleeve that brings Kelly back to the soap opera?Comment below.

If she’s going to return. Then bring her on as someone different. They did it with Roger Howarth, & Michael Easton. Bringing her back from the dead from poisoning and Huntington’s disease. Not believable and to sci-fi.
Well, when you’re talking about the Faison family tree, things like Huntington’s disease test results can easily be forged. And the snake toxin on the hook? Was that really fatal? They don’t even have to stretch too far to explain that one away, considering there were other victims of “The Hooker” who survived the attacks.
So while I know that Britt was dead, and in an air conditioned condo, right here in Beelzebub Towers, feeding CBD doggie biscuits to my boy Cerberus, the mortals in Port Charles will have a plausible explanation for her return.
Can’t wait! Wish she’d never left. GH is on fire these days! So many big storylines going on at the same time. Makes me look forward to Mondays!
Hope Brad figures into her return. He could be off helping Liesl.
Put her back with Jason!! Steve and Kelly had great chemistry.
If they bring Britt back, they better have a good excuse for her surviving a disease with no cure!
This is why they killed off Dex. To make room for HER! Not fair. I miss my Dex!!
We get it.
Look. KT wanted to move on from GH and asked to have her character killed off! This really ticks me off that the folks running GH are constantly rehiring actors ME, RoHo, and now KT when they barely use the actors that WANT to work on the show! Ugh. This is so annoying!
I wouldn’t put anything past soaps, they come up with crazy ideas! Her mother might have somehow brought her back to life since she is a Dr. and kept her hidden or she may come back as a different character, they have done that many times!

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
