Kin Shriner Talks On His Return To GH! Is Revisiting Lulu Killing Scott's Son Logan Part Of The Story?

Kin Shriner (Scotty Baldwin) returns to General Hospital on February 19th, when according to an ABC rep, “Scott Baldwin returns to Port Charles as most of the town is gathered at the Haunted Star for a Valentine’s Day party and the first person he sees is Luke.”
However in a brand new interview out with TV Guide Magazine’s Michael Logan, Shriner reveals that it is a story from the past that could play a huge part in his return, and of course, dealing with Luke (Tony Geary) and the return of Laura (Genie Francis).
When asked about the rumors that Scott’s return has something to do with revisiting the incident where Luke’s daughter Lulu (Julie Marie Berman) killed Scott’s son Logan (Josh Duhon), Shriner replied, “That’s what they tell me. I kinda thought we played that out so I’m wondering where this is headed. Scotty took Lulu to trial and didn’t win. He didn’t really know Logan very well — one day the kid just suddenly popped up in town — but maybe Scotty’s still disgruntled.”
In addition, for those wondering will Scott come back a good guy or a bad guy? Shriner would only offer up, ” Scott’s been through so many incarnations, what with hundreds of writers, plus my own meddling. He’s been a goodie and a baddie. Hey, when you’re happily wed to a woman who runs off with her rapist, it’ll tarnish you. I’m just wondering who else they can dig up for the 50th. ”
So soapers, what do you think could be the reason that GH would bring up Lulu shooting Logan at this point in time? Do you like Scott Baldwin (we prefer “Scotty”) as a good guy or a bad guy? Weigh-in!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC
Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.

i want scotty to reveal that he has been in paris with laura building a very deeply committed relationship………….
Oy. Ron. You need to take a step back. I love seeing the old characters back on the show, but the history isn’t really working. People are not happy about the Caleb story. I watched Port Charles and the only reason I liked the vampire story was because of Michael Easton. PC had other stories and really talented actors that held my interest – didn’t really care for this story. Having said this, I trust you so I’ll give you a chance……..
As for Kin being back, YAY!!!!! But he left with Laura – or should I say – stowed away with Laura when she left. Doesn’t make sense that he’d go after Lulu. But again, I trust you, Ron Carlivati, so I’ll give you a chance.
Llike him… would prefer this time that he be a good guy. Glad he’s coming back sounds like he might be married to Laura already?
If they are going to revisit a story let it be to to r everse the horrible annihilation of another GH super couple Rick and Lesley Webber! I don’t care how implausible just reunite them and tell us that somehow it was all a scam or a bad dream and Rick’s been imprisoned somewhere and pining for Lesley! Btw, in my opinion Scott is much better at being the bad guy. So he and Helena concocted the whole thing?
I agree about Rick and Leslie. im the one who wrote how they could bring Rick back and how Helena and the Cassidine would be invovled in his disappearance. Its on this site if u havent seen it.
First of all Lulu did not shoot Logan, she stabbed him to death and Lulu did not go on trial for Logan’s murder Johnny did,so she could still be tried for his murder.
We’ll take Scotty and any vet back no matter why they’ve return. ILL even accept any story if Alan or Rick(Webber) were to return from the dead. Maybe Alan is alive and was in a coma after being shot and in some hospital far from PC and Edward was responisible for his care. Monica seen his ghost out of wishful thinking, and Tracy seen his ghost out of some sort of quilt for not being a better person. The Cassidines could have tricked Laura into believing she or was it Scotty had killed Rick Webber and Helena has kept Rick a prisoner all this time. The Rick everyone thought was murdered was actually one of Helenas men with a mask kinda like the way Faison fooled Anna to believe he was Duke. I just feel it was a mistake when those two characters were killed off, and wished they finda away to bring them back even if short term.
I wrote the above hoping Alan is alive somehow and is the missing ELQ share holder. Would he give to Tracy or the son who shot him?
Jimj, I think you should take over for Carlivati!! like your thinking!
I’m not as much interested in that as I am interested in finding out what went on between Laura and Scotty.
When last seen Laura left for Paris and Scotty showed up on the plane…fade to black.
Laura is coming back harboring a big secret…..I want to know if Scott is somehow involved in that.
And where the heck is Serena ,Scott’s daughter ?
Do you think that Scott and Laura had a kid?
No Bonnie ,I don’t think Laura and Scott had a child together.
But maybe the big secret she has is that she and Scott are married.
Scotty was a good guy back in the day and I liked him because he was sweet – but he got crapped on and turned into a baddie when he lost Laura to Luke.
I think Laura even made reference to that the last time she was on GH…. if I recall she told Luke that they had a hand in making Scott into a villain.
So who knows what’s in store.
I’ll take Scotty anyway they want to give him to me! Kin Shriner is fantastic and always makes it work.
Lulu stabbed Logan. She didn’t shoot him. LOL! Just a clarification there. 🙂
I really feel they to fix the Rick Webber story, Rick came to town with a mysterious agenda and then Wham, Laura thinks she killed him, while Lucky and Nic tried to move the body (in a silly Weekend at Bernies salute). Later it is revealed it was Scotty that killed Rick. I always believed that Rick faked his death and Hoped he was wasn’t gone for good. He was to important the History. I am hoping they will bring him (and Alan) Back.
I love Kin Shriner’s attitude always have always will. Who else can they dig up for the 50th too funny. I had almost forgotten about Logan.
it sounds like its going to be fun, the best part of this is seeing how excited the actors are about being back, i think they realize that this regime delivers and its so rewarding for everyone from the actors to the fans. As for the storyline they have him coming back for, well, I hope they don’t make Scotty so set on revenge, afterall he really didn’t know Logan, and Logan was no innocent victim here.
Logan was attacking Lulu, that’s why she got a knife to defend herself. He not only attacked Lulu, but Maxie too. So Logan was not innocent. Scotty never believe that, just because it’s Luke’s daughter. That;s how he was gonna make Luke pay, putting Lulu in jail. It’ll be a shock to Dante i’m sure that’s one reason they are bringing it back up. Sonny was there for Lulu when she was put in shadybrooke. At least Julie might get something interesting to do again. (this baby stuff is killing me…so stupid.)
well put
I hope Lauras secret is Rick Webber is still alive, and Luke goes off to find where Helena has kept him captive. This would be a good explaination for Luke being gone again(when Tony Geary takes his usual break from the show.) I heard they were casting a young actress who could possibly be Scottys daughter Serena. If down the road Luke and Laura were to be remarried i want it be a repeat at the original location where they first wed and up on that balcony Laura tosses her bridal flowers to the guest below and once again its Scotty who catches them. Sometimes it can be exciting to see history repeat itself. WELCOME BACK KIN SHRINER!
I want Scotty mixed up with Heather and Lucy and imagine him going toe to toe with Todd LOL
And definitely bring on Serena. Maybe she can compete with Starr for Michael?
Jenny
Lulu really does need something else to do, she is so boring and always on Maxis back boo hoo
I loved Scotty when he and Laura were together as teenagers, however I like her better with Luke. Surely, Scott has matured and maybe he could be a good guy again.
The last regime did everything they could to ruin so many great characters – Alan, AJ, Scotty, Stefan, Georgie, etc – by taking them out of character. They’ve managed to bring AJ back – and I’d be happy to see any of the above return, since Frank and Ron have such a keen understanding of the history. How cool would it be to find out that Frisco recruited Georgie for one of his missions, and that’s why they had to fake her death?
I’m all for great characters coming back but some should stay dead. If no one really dies how can we be invested in the drama? Much more has come from Georgie being dead than any story when she was alive IMO.
I suppose I just despised the previous regime’s penchant for taking established characters and then offing them or having them behave completely out of character simply for shock value. What was point of building Georgie as a character just to kill her off? Or killing Alan? Or bringing back Stefan, have him act like a mustache twisting villain and then kill him? Or making Rick Webber a villain? For years, GH suffered from character abuse, and its nice to see the opposite happening now.
I totally agree with you. GH was unwatchable for me for many years. I don’t think Georgie or Alan should have been killed or Rick Weber made into a villain!
Just a thought…since Scott is coming back ,bring back Serena Baldwin,Scott’s daughter by the late Dominique Stanton Baldwin (Lucy’s surrogate daughter).
Carly Schroeder played her and she is now 23 – Serena would be 20.
I think it would be interesting to throw her into the mix.
I just figured he was coming back for Lucy and/or Laura in as a lawyer… he could even have dealings with Tracy
Yes, I really wish they would bring back Alan as well as Rick. I would love to think Helena was behind the imposter that MUST have been Rick Webber. No way did the true Rick come back and not reunite with Lesley! I don’t assume that any of these actors care to work full time but I would be happy with a reunion between Rick and Lesley and have them spoken off screen until holidays and funerals. Same goes for Alan and Monica!
Serena was a tween during the PC years – so she should be at least in her late 20s, 30s (esp if Rafe is now a tween). If they wanted – they could make her be someone on screen already ( Ellie or maybe Dr Britt. Lucy meet Sabrina so she couldn’t be Serena).
i hope kin comes back as a nice guy letting by gons be by gons..the last mystery great grandchild to elq will be sabrina, and please get rid of that dr. brit who was with patrick. she is ugly and has horse teeth and looks like she could be a vampire. plus her telling maxie she lost lulus baby in newe years eve how could you go and have sex the same night and get pg. with spanellis baby. shes a liar and i hope maxie finds out before its to late of getting in her scheme to get sabrina fired.
First of all, Caleb story = stupid… Maxie/Lulu/Baby story = predictable & been done before. Second of all, anyone else think maybe Logan isn’t dead & sent the black rose replica to Lulu? Maybe thats also ehy Scott & Laura are in town? That’d be interesting. Need some action around here.
