‘Knots Landing’ Debuts On Amazon Prime; All 14 Seasons Available to Stream
Finally! Some very exciting news for Knots Landing fans. Unlike how previously, Plex played the entire 14 seasons worth of episodes on a 24-hour rotation, where if you missed it, you couldn’t see it again, Amazon Prime now has all the episodes available to watch at your leisure.
Starting today on December 1st, ‘Knots’ has come to Amazon Prime. From its first episode when it debuted on December 27th, 1979 and through its first season in 1980, we are introduced to a seaside suburban paradise, featuring four married couples as they struggle with the conflicts and passions that buffet every marriage. Then, we follow all of the drama and romance through to its final season in 1993 and its series finale, which shares, “After fourteen years of lust, greed and betrayal, passions explode in this final season of Knots Landing.” The series is available to watch in full for Amazon Prime members as well as to purchase to view as individual episodes.
Knots Landing starred Joan Van Ark (Valene), Michelle Lee (Karen) and Donna Mills (Abby), plus Kevin Dobson (Mac), Julie Harris (Lilimae) Ted Shackelford (Gary), Michelle Phillips (Anne Matheson), Constance McCashin (Laura), John Pleshette (Richard), Nicollette Sheridan (Paige), William Devane (Gregory Sumner), Tonya Crowe (Olivia), Claudia Lonow (Diana) Don Murray (Sid), Lisa Hartman (Ciji/Cathy), Alec Baldwin (Joshua), and many others throughout its 14-year run.

Now, you can relive the entire saga of Val’s twins stolen at birth and how she got them back, the death of Sid Fairgate, Jill Bennett forcing Val to swallow pills to make it look like she committed suicide, Laura’s heartbreaking video message to Greg as she goes away to die from cancer by herself, and so many others that soap fans love!
‘Knots’ was a spinoff of Dallas, but it outlasted its originator in the ratings after 344 episodes over 14 seasons. Sadly, the series only received four Emmy nominations during its run, and only one for Lead Actress in a Drama for Michele Lee, back in 1982.
To get your ready for all 14 seasons of ‘Knots,’ check out our conversation with Michelle, Donna and Joan taped at Donna’s house back when the series celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2020 below.
Now, let us know, will you relive the emotional storylines of ‘Knots Landing’ history by watching on Amazon Prime? Comment below.
Happy it’s on Prime now! Plex was nice, but Prime is BETTER!
I am a prime member too, but it’s not showing up on my TV. Where is it?
Type it the search bar and it cones up… but if you are in Canada, it shows available in the United States only… so far.
Thank you so much for letting us know I’ve been waiting forever just watched episode 1 of season 3 sid is in a coma!!! I ❤️ knots!!
I’ve been watching since October and I’m on Season 10 Episode 20 something, where Paige doesn’t know if she can trust Greg
I just watched season three episode 4 Lula Mae arrives and all Joan van Ark can do is run around saying “I don’t understand Mama!”. Then Abby has Brad over orders Chinese they hit the sheets and she throws him out lmao!!!! Love me some Abby!
Just in time to consume the new swarm of commercials that Bezos is flooding the content with. It wouldn’t have hurt his bottom line to avoid that; it’s not what paid Prime users would expect anyway.
It will be nice to see the show again that Donna Mills says repeatedly was “not a soap opera. It was a primetime drama”!! Never understood why she thought Knots was any better than the daytime shows!
Love Donna but she can be dumb in interviews watch her on Joan Rivers show on YouTube saying “sometimes I can gain a pound here and there”. Joan smirks and the audience groans lol. C’mon Donna! Knots was totally a soap!
There is a Santa Claus!
Totally!
I’m not seeing how this is any different than PLEX. Plex was running shows back to back, but you can also select episodes on demand.
Prime has remastered the prints. The episodes look much better.
I have commercials on Plex. Are there commercials on Prime
First Donald wins resoundingly and now this! Christmas time is here!
Only a simpleton would cheer the election of a convicted felon.
LOL! Trump didn’t win “resoundingly.” Not with the popular vote. With 96% of the vote in, Trump has, according to the Associated Press, 49.97% to Vice President Harris’ 48.36%, or 76.9 million votes to 74.4 million. The U.S. Election Atlas has a higher raw vote total and a slightly narrower margin, 49.78% to 48.23%, or 77.1 million votes to 74.7 million.)
We have the president the Senate the house the supreme Court and your side has…lmao nothing lmao!!!!!!
You know what else you have?
ZERO rights, as of January 20.
We all know what the convicted orange sex offender thinks about women. And his fundaMENTAList wackjob base thinks y’all should sit down, shut up, and submit to whatever the men tell you to do.
So have fun with all that, Mimi. And you’ll hear me laughing from all the way down here in Hell!
Get behind me ye satan
You wish Trump was as bad as you think he is. He never took a salary as President. Did Obama? Biden? Clinton?
You have 3 years to cry. Better stock up on Kleenex.
You really believe every bit of MAGAtt propaganda, don’t you?
He never took a salary? Yeah right. And you probably believe he’s really a billionaire too.
Never mind the 666 bankruptcies, the fact that he’s indebted to Vlad Putin because the Russians were the ONLY ONES ON THE PLANET who would loan him money, and his complete prostitution of the US government to a racist illegal alien from Apartheid South Africa.
Hope you enjoy paying that 145% tariff on your next Made in China red hat!
And he’ll be shipping you off at the top of the year. Just wait.
I’m hooked. Reliving my youth: lol
The sound is better on Prime
I’ve been binge watching for just over a month now… I’m on season 10!
I’m now into season 11 and I’m finding that I feel the same way I did all those years ago. I was disappointed the way they wrote Ben off I really liked his character. Then when Constance left it really took a turn for me. It was never quite as good then I don’t think and I still feel that same way watching it again. I didn’t have as much of a deal with Donna Mills departure because quite honestly how much more could she ever get away with without going to jail?
I got to season 4 and now I have to subscribe to Discovery+ to finish it

There was plenty of laughter, tears, and reminiscing through the the two and a half hour chat which included: some memorable footage and images from the love story of Cruz and Eden. At one point, Marcy reflected on the enduring impact and affection for Cruz and Eden. “You hope that whatever you do in this life, that you’ll make an impact of some kind,” expressed Walker. “It doesn’t have to necessarily be wrapped up in success or career or anything like that, but I think we all want desperately to feel like our time here blessed someone. To hear that somebody’s life was even a moment better because of what we did is a massive gift.

A AND MARCY’S DESIRE TO WORK TOGETHER AGAIN
In a moment that brought joy to those in attendance, A and Marcy both expressed a sincere hope and desire that one day they can work together again. Martinez explained, “There’s more avenues to pursue now than there have ever been. I would say just keep a good thought for it. I’ve been holding it for decades, and I fully intend to do whatever I can to make it happen. We’re engaged in trying to make it happen. And you know, we’ll see. I know we both want to do it.” Marcy simply nodded and responded “Amen.”
Melissa Braverman shared with Michael Fairman TV, her sentiments on hosting the Santa Barbara favorites. “Seeing A and Marcy together again, even virtually, was an absolute gift. It instantly reminded all of us why we fell so hard for Cruz and Eden in the first place. Their undeniable chemistry leaped off the screen and straight back into our hearts, proving that the magic they created all those years ago hasn’t faded one bit. Sharing in equal parts laughter and tears felt like catching up with old friends. It just meant the world to see them side-by-side again and to see how this incredible fandom showed up for Marcy during such an important time for her.”

‘Days of Our Lives’ Officially Confirms Ryan Quan Returning as Co-Head Writer Beginning in July
There is definitely a shake-up going down at the writing team at Peacock’s Days of Our Lives. Now, the long-running soap opera has confirmed, what has been previously reported, that current General Hospital breakdown writer, Ryan Quan is heading back to his old stomping grounds in Salem. This time as the series co-head writer.
The appointment of Quan comes with the official news that current co-head writer, Paula Cwikly, who was previously rumored to be departing the series, is not. She is staying with the soap opera and transitioning to a consultant role with the show. Now, Quan will join current co-head writer, Jeanne Marie Ford to steer the ship for the characters on the canvas.
On Wednesday, TV Insider, reported the official confirmation and that Quan will return to DAYS next month in July. In a statement to the outlet, executive producer, Ken Corday expressed, ‘We are lucky to have Ryan back in the fold. There are very few people who have such a deep knowledge and understanding of our show’s history. Stay tuned!”

THE FUTURE OF DAYS OF OUR LIVES
Since Days of our Lives unusual production schedule tapes ten-months ahead of air, the new creative team’s vision led by Quan and Jeanne Marie Ford are not expected to stream on Peacock until mid-2027.
Days of Our Lives is currently renewed through its 63rd season. The former NBC soap opera which transitioned to Peacock in September of 2022, celebrate its 60th anniversary in November of 2025.
The writing regime change comes after NBCUniversal Media Chairman Matt Strauss revealed that Peacock is expected to turn a profit for the first time in the current quarter, punctuating their investment with the enduring soap opera on its platform.
As for Quan, his knowledge of Salem is tremendous. Ryan joined Days of Our Lives as a writer’s assistant in 2007 after some time over at Passions. He then spent two decades and held every position on the writing team where he previously served as co-head writer from 2016-17 alongside Dena Higley.
Later, when Ron Carlivati took over as head writer for 7 years in 2017, Quan became his right-hand man and main story consultant for his deep knowledge of the history and the legacy of the show. After Carlivati exited the show in 2024, General Hospital hired Quan in 2025.
So, what do you think about DAYS making it official with Ryan Quan as the new co-head writer of the series alongside Jeanne Marie Ford. What do you think about the fact we won’t see the changes on-screen till 2027? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

ABC Announces ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Texas Spin-Off Gets Straight-to-Series Order
In a surprise move, coming a week after ABC unveiled its 2026-2027 fall television schedule, Grey’s Anatomy is getting a new spinoff co-created by the original series’ creator/executive producer Shonda Rhimes.
The new untitled medical drama will be written and executive produced by Rhimes and Grey’s Anatomy showrunner/executive producer Meg Marinis under the Shondaland and 20th Television umbrella. In addition, long-running ‘Grey’s’ star Ellen Pompeo will also serve as an EP of the spinoff.
The upcoming new series will debut midseason in 2027. This will be the first of Grey’s franchise not set in urban city or West Coast locale. According to Deadline, the new “edgy drama is about a team at a rural West Texas medical center — the last chance for care before miles of nowhere.”

Photo: ABC
In a statement, Marinis shared, “I am incredibly excited to expand the Grey’s Anatomy universe. This opportunity will bring new characters and stories to life that will embody the same heart, emotion and connection audiences have loved from Grey’s for more than two decades — all set in my home state of Texas. I am so grateful to Shonda Rhimes for creating this dynamic world and feel so fortunate that I get to be a part of it.”
A NEW GROUP OF DOCTORS IN RURAL TEXAS
The Texas spinoff will feature a a new group of doctors, but there will be some connection to the OG Grey’s Anatomy and possibly to Debbie Allen’s character of Catherine Fox. The amount of episodes in the series order has not yet been determined. Previous Grey’s Anatomy spinoffs were the defunct Station 19 and Private Practice.
Previously, Grey’s Anatomy was renewed for its upcoming 23rd season while the amount of episodes is unclear. The last two seasons the series produced 18 episodes.
It should also be noted, Grey’s Anatomy and the Texas spinoff would likely share a time period, which requires limited-run orders for both with Grey’s premiering in the fall, followed by the spinoff on the midseason programming block.
So, what do you think about a Texas spinoff of Grey’s Anatomy coming in 2027? Who would you like to see from daytime or primetime as some of the featured roles as new doctors? Put on your casting directors hat and let us know via the comment section below.
