Kyle MacLachlan Set To Star In TWIN PEAKS Revival on Showtime!

Great news today out of the TCA’s (Television Critics Association) Winter Press Tour for the Showtime Network! Kyle MacLachlan who starred as Special Agent Dale Cooper on the original ABC version of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks, has indeed signed on to play the role once again in Showtime’s upcoming limited run series revival of the quirky soapesque drama!

The actor told reporters on stage during the network’s presentation, “I’m very excited to return to the strange and wonderful world of Twin Peaks.”

For those that watched the final installment of the original Twin Peaks, Agent Cooper’s found himself getting possessed by the evil  Killer BOB and then proceeding to smash his head into a mirror!

Now the story will be set in present day 25 years since the original.  With MacLachlan on board the network says that fans should look for more original cast members to most likely be on their way back, as well!

Production of Twin Peaks is said to commence midway in the year, and to be shot in multiple locations, and most likely in their original series home of Washington state and the Pacific Northwest revealed Showtime’s head honcho, David Nevins.

I dont get showtime…the first year mystery of Laura Palmer was great entertaiment…i thought it would replace my favorite mystery serial Edge Of Night but its second season was forgettable mess…Edge was the best ever mystery drama on tv…its been many years since the original TP…many people today havent seen it…wish this was on SciFi…but its still all about the writing…Twin Peaks is a cult classic…many of its original viewers are long gone…will it be a hit…like i said they need some pretty interesting stories to draw in new viewers…adding t&a and every curse word known to man just because… Read more »

NBC Celebrates Carol Burnett’s 90th Birthday with Retrospective Special Featuring Susan Lucci and More Celebrity Guests

The beloved Carol Burnett will get the star-studded affair treatment for her 90th birthday when NBC airs Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love.

The two-hour special career retrospective will air Wednesday, April 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and will stream the next day on Peacock. The special is set to be filmed at Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles.

The evening will include musical performances from Bernadette Peters, Billy Porter, Jane Lynch, Katy Perry, Kristin Chenoweth and more.

Special guests include: Aileen Quinn, Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Bob Mackie, Cher, Ellen DeGeneres, Julie Andrews, Kristen Wiig, Laura Dern, Lily Tomlin, Marisa Tomei, Sofia Vergara, Steve Carell, Tracee Ellis Ross, Vicki Lawrence, and many more.

One very special guest for soap fans will be that of Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane, All My Children).  As everyone knows, Carol Burnett was a huge fan of All My Children and Lucci, and eventually got a part written just for her when she appeared not once, but three times throughout the daytime drama’s run on ABC as Verla Grubbs.  The character turned out to the daughter of Langley Wallingford (the late Louis Edmonds).  Burnett appeared in Pine Valley in 1983, 1995, and 2005.

In a statement on the big soiree’, Burnett shared: “I’m so excited NBC decided to throw me a birthday party and invited all of my closest friends. I can’t wait to look back at so many wonderful moments throughout my career, I feel so lucky to share this night with everyone.”

“This special is going to be the best party ever,” said Mark Bracco, executive producer and president of Silent House Productions. “It will be an evening of music, comedy and dozens of big stars paying tribute to the one and only Carol Burnett.  We look forward to everyone at home celebrating right along with us.”

Viewers will see some of the funniest and most memorable moments of Burnett’s legendary career including moment from the acclaimed sketch comedy series The Carol Burnett Show.

Y&R’s Tracey Bregman Receives Replacement Daytime Emmy from Christian LeBlanc on ‘The Talk’

In an absolutely great way to celebrate Tracey Bregman’s 40th anniversary with The Young and the Restless, the fan favorite star received a very special gift during her appearance on Tuesday’s episode of The Talk.

While Bregman was chatting about her run as Lauren Fenmore with The Talk co-hosts, Natalie Morales, introduced a surprise appearance by her on-screen husband, Christian LeBlanc (Michael).

For in 1985, Bregman won for the first ever Emmy in the Outstanding Ingenue category, which later had been renamed to “The Outstanding Younger Actress”. Sadly, she lost her original Emmy when her home burned down in California’s devastating Woolsey fire back in 2018.

When LeBlanc surprises Bregman on the set of the talk show, complete with a large box, he expressed: “I would like to present this, an Emmy for Outstanding Ingenue, but this time it’s from the people who love and respect you and cherish you, your CBS, your ‘Young and the Restless’ family, and I’m so honored to be able to give it to you.”

A tearful Bregman emotionally said, “I can’t thank you enough for, I’m so overwhelmed.”
