‘Love & WWE: Bianca and Montez’ Drops on Hulu: Their Real-Life Love Story in and Out of the Ring
The latest real-life love story and behind the scenes workings of a marriage is explored in a very different way, when you take two top stars of the WWE and put the cameras on them showcasing their home life and their demanding careers. And this time, one of those superstars is WWE Universe beloved fan favorite, Bianca Belair.
Belair is married to Montez Ford, who in current story has now aligned himself with “Street Profits” tag team partner in Angelo Dawkins, with Bobby Lashley. However, Hulu’s reality series Love & WWE: Bianca and Montez, which officially dropped today on Friday, February 2nd, serves up an 8-episode arc as the couple are on the road to last year’s WrestleMania 39.
Themes of the pressure and responsibility of a grueling schedule, wrestling with the idea of having children and when to do so, finding time to be together as a couple, and dealing with jealousy that comes with fame, are tackled through the run of the show.

Bianca and Montez spoke to TV Insider and Ford shared how the entire docu-series came about: “Everything decision-wise and approval-wise goes to the wife. It has been a four-year process. Ever since 2020 we’ve been working on the show that the world is seeing in 2024. We shot the sizzle reel in 2020 and went through logistics and timing with the world going through the pandemic. Are we excited that it’s finally coming out? Yes. Opening the world up to our lives has been something to be nervous about. But in a sense, we do that with WWE already. Now we’re just pulling the curtain back a little bit more so they can see everything leading up to the entrances, matches and different things in our career. We’re excited about it. A lot of people don’t really know those struggles, but this show gives them some insight: the peaks, the valleys, the highs and lows, the good and bad.”

Belair, a three-time WWE women’s champion, shared with Huff Post: “I hope the viewers see that wrestling is cool and it’s evolved. You can watch wrestling and find someone who looks just like you that you can relate to. Sometimes people have a misconception on what they think wrestling is about, so we’re here to show them wrestling is cool and what it takes to be a WWE superstar. They see us in the ring having a 10-20 minute wrestling match, but they don’t see what all goes into it. So we filmed this show as our ‘Road to WrestleMania,’ which Montez compares to our playoffs. We show the travel and hard work, and what it’s like being a married couple and learning how to balance that with our personal life. We hope we bring more eyes to the product and show a different side of us.”

THE 411 ON TIA AND KALISTA
Speaking with TV Insider, about their soapy experience in Fairmont Crest, Tabitha Brown previewed about her host with the most, “Tia is very professional, but she’s a girl’s girl. She is a protector of women and wants to tell their stories in a beautiful way, but she also wants to make sure they’re seen in a very good light.”
However, Burruss previews that Kalista arrives with a score to settle. “She’s spicy,” shared the recording artist. “I always love playing somebody that has come to start trouble. It’s always fun to play a villain of sorts, but Kalista feels like she’s been done wrong and she’s hurt by what she feels has been done to her. So Kalista is stirring up trouble, but she feels justified putting Dani on blast. Kalista is ready for some payback.”
Beyond the Gates is produced by CBS Studios, as part of the CBS Studios/NAACP Venture, in partnership with P&G Studios, a division of Procter & Gamble. Created by head writer Michele Val Jean, executive producers include Val Jean, Sheila Ducksworth, Julie Carruthers, Tracey Thomson, Leon W. Russell, Derrick Johnson, Anna Saalfeld and Lela Coffey.
