Matthew Atkinson Kicks-Off September on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ with the Return of Thomas Forrester
Look who’s coming home next week on all-new episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful! While it was previously reported that Matthew Atkinson would be back as Thomas Forrester sometime in September, from the looks of the series “Look Ahead” video teaser, he’s back as the month begins.
Matthew Atkinson has been off The Bold and the Beautiful since July of 2024; making it over a year since we have seen Thomas on-screen, and by all appearances his arrival back in Los Angeles and to Forrester Creations comes at the perfect time to cause plenty of conflict and drama.
In story, Liam (Scott Clifton) had made it clear he wants Hope (Annika Noelle) back. In addition, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) wants to marry Hope. Thomas, has long been a thorn in Liam’s side and for years (some that were obsessive and dark) wanted Hope to love him and only him. Eventually, when Hope and Thomas were making a-go of their romance, he was able to put his bad-boy past behind them. However, when Hope turned Thomas’ marriage proposal down twice, he eventually left for Paris with Paris Buckingham (Diamond White), with whom he became engaged, along with son, Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri).

What will viewers learn when Thomas comes home? Has he broken up with Paris? Will Liam and Hope tell Thomas all about how Paris’ mother, Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech), and how she made Liam and everyone he loved believe he was dying of brain cancer and scammed Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) out of $1 million dollars, or does he already know about it?

From the looks of the preview for the action next week on B&B (see below), after Thomas has a happy reunion with his mother, Taylor (and Atkinson sharing his first scenes with Rebecca Budig as his mom), he firmly tells Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) to stay out of the way and let his mother and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) be happy, to which Brooke looks none to pleased.
Viewers first learned of Matthew’s impending return to the CBS daytime drama series when he posted a video tease on his Instagram showing himself playing cornhole outside the new B&B soundstages at Sunset Las Palmas Studios in Hollywood with the accompanying words, “Second time’s a charm.”

Atkinson joined the CBS daytime drama series back in 2019, taking over the Thomas Forrester role from his predecessor, Pierson Fodé. The part of Thomas has also played in the past by Patrick Dorn, Drew Tyler Bell and Adam Gregory.
So, excited for the return of Matthew Atkinson as Thomas Forrester next week as September begins on The Bold and the Beautiful? Do you believe Liam and Hope will decide to give their relationship another go, only for Thomas to become the interloper once again, or could he be the man Hope truly wants, leaving both Carter and Liam in the dust? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section.
Yes! Thomas is back & fingers crossed long term. I would love Hope to realize it’s Thomas she wants & to chase him. A great story arc would be Hope & Thomas reviving Hope for the Future in a rival fashion house. But Bell doesn’t give fans nice things. He gives forced super couple 80’s style with couples bland as oatmeal. We will be forced to endure boring Hope/Carter/Liam. Least I can DVR & fast forward & just watch Thomas scenes.
Agree with you
I adore this guy but I’m not up for him being a cheer leader for fake ridge and fake Taylor . Sorry but no he is being wasted. Stick Brooke and Ridge together two people who have absolutely no respect for each other can’t even trust each other for the truth just in a dream world
I so hope for Thope getting together again! They were my dream couple as MA and AN have amazing chemistry together! Their story of redemption, forgiveness and finally love touched my heart like no couple did before! Love them!
Agree
Love Thomas Atkinson, been waiting so long for his return!!! Him and Hope are fire! She seems busy in the men dept so I wonder if Daphne will circle Thomas.
Daphne should be with Liam two lost souls.
No Daphne and carter should be together
Well Daphne and Liam seem to fit Carter should be with someone new like another female new character.
Yessss
Thomas is back that is so super awesome now reunite my favorite couple Thope so they can get married when Hope says yes this time and have as someone said on a post have Thope twin boy and girl babies.
I can’t stand Thomas I hope he doesn’t stay long let Hope & Liam be happy together again
Why the best actor they have on that soap his chemistry unfortunately iis off the chart la with Annika even Kelly says so ! Brad just wants the boring Liam hope and soon Steffy just like Taylor Brooke and ridge . Sooner or later you grow out of this and everyone knew he never intended to kill off Liam . Please make Bill the man he use to be a handsome gangster
Not gonna happen Liam is a waffle boy he loves two women he hasn’t changed two women two families he should’ve passed away from the tumor.
Nothing like watching a nearly 40 year old man trying to manage the love life of his many times much married 60 plus year old father, mother and stepmother. You would think at least one of them would tell Thomas to go fly a kite. This show just dials up the same script and substitutes new actors.
They are going to make him dark again, I dont like it, I wanted him to come back all well, like he was before he left, then I wanted Hope to see him and wanted to see her eyes when she first sees him like last time, she never looked at any other man like she looked at Thomas, I want to see that look again but not if he is going to the dark side and everyone including Liam and carter has to protect precious hope again, already done that writers, pull out the old scripts.

Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun Written Out of The Young and the Restless

It looks like the current run of Lucas Adams (Noah) and Tamara Braun (Sienna) on The Young and the Restless is coming to an end, after the Monday, August 3 edition of the CBS daytime drama revealed that Noah and Sienna are leaving Genoa City and heading back to Los Angeles.
In the storyline, Noah informed his mother, Sharon (Sharon Case) and half-sister Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that he and Sienna made the decision to move back to the West Coast to put distance between themselves and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Although Noah did not say it was a permanent move, he did assure his mom that once Matt is hopefully gone from Genoa City they could return.
However, as previewed already on the video teaser for this week’s episodes of Y&R (see below), it appears Noah left Genoa City’s The Shadow Room to be run by a returning Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). So with that, coupled with today’s episode, it would appear the move could wind up being more permanent.

COMINGS AND GOINGS
Adams made his Y&R debut on November 4, 2025 as the successor to Rory Gibson who last played Noah on-screen in April of 2023. Earlier in 2025, Gibson took over the role of Michael Corinthos on Genera Hospital replacing Chad Duell, who stepped away from the part after 15 years.
Braun who played Adam’s mother on Days of Our Lives when she was Ava Vitali and he was Tripp Dalton, first appeared on Y&R back on October 14, 2025, where we soon learned she had become Noah’s lover as the new character, Sienna Bacall. It should be noted, Adams was on contract with the number #1 soap, while Braun has been on recurring status.
With Josh Griffith now exited as head writer of The Young and the Restless, and the newly announced co-head writing team of Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor having taken his place and starting their new tenure this week, it will be interesting to see how the duo resets the show, and if a Noah and Sienna return is in the cards for the future or not.
So, what do you think about the seeming departures of Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun from The Young and the Restless? Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out our recent live chat with Tamara and Lucas on the Michael Fairman Channel.

Rosie O’Donnell Says She Will Return to ‘The View’ During its Season 30

Rosie O’Donnell revealed that she plans to head back to a seat at the table of ABC’s morning talk show The View.
The announcement came during Monday’s episode of The Tangle Podcast where she shared she will participate in “in whatever way they want” her or “just as a guest” for its upcoming 30th season.
The View’s season 30 will kick-off this fall in September. O’Donnell explained, “They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think. And, you know, I’m pretty proud of that show, what it’s become and how it really speaks to the people and to politics.”

ROSIE ON HER PREVIOUS GO-ROUNDS ON THE VIEW
As fans of The View know, O’Donnell famously had two different one-year stints on the talk show in 2007 and again in 2014- 2015. She often feuded with then co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck.
However, during her discussion with host, Kyle Ridley on The Tangle Podcast, O’Donnell also noted she often had tense moments with longtime moderator and anchor, Whoopi Goldberg.
O’Donnell also expressed, “Many, many people got the short end of the stick there. It was, you know, it was a factory where people were being churned in and out and their tenuous security, nobody got to be calm. It also was a show at the time that was run by a man. A show created by a woman, for women, about women, and the man was deciding what we should talk about. And that didn’t sit right with me, you know.”
Back in 2023, Brooke Shields had asked Rosie on her podcast, Now What? with Brooke Shields, about how she felt on her two stints at The View and all the controversy that surrounded it. Rosie at that time, stated, “I know this, it’s not the best use of my talent to get in a show where I have to argue and defend basic principles of humanity and kindness. It was not something I’d ever do again.”
You can check out the clip with Rosie and Kyle Ridley discussing her return to The View in some form for its upcoming 30th season below.
Then weigh-in: Would you be excited to see Rosie, even for a one-day or a week guest stint on the upcoming celebratory season of The View, or not so much? Let us know via the comment section.
