Exciting news on Friday for General Hospital’s James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine).  The popular and talented actor is now set to star in the Live-Action series Meet the Mayhems as Disney has given it a full series order.

According to Deadline, production is currently underway in Los Angeles.  Stuart stars in the role of Vic/Kraniac along with: Isabella Pappas as Amy/Havoc, and Lucy Davis and as Eva/Surge.

In addition, the cast is rounded out by: Malachi Barton as Colby/Flashform, Reed Horstmann as Jake/Chaos,Kayden Muller-Janssen as Hartley.

As previously reported, when the show was being developed as a pilot with the title of Amy from Amarillo, the story involves a family of supervillains who recently ran afoul of the League of Villains and now must somehow beat a path to normalcy in a small Texas town this includes Havoc, who stood up to the toughest villain of them all, and had to change her name to Amy to appear like just a normal kid to keep her from trouble.

The show was created by Chris Peterson and Bryan Moore.  Look for the show to debut in the summer of 2022 on the Disney Channel and Disney + streaming platforms worldwide.

Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television, said about the upcoming series: “Chris and Bryan, along with this terrific cast, are fast at work to deliver a fun and entertaining ‘fish-out-of-water’ tale about an extraordinary family living an ordinary life. While they entertain, the stories also incorporate themes of self-confidence, personal responsibility, teamwork, justice and empathy.”

So, excited to see James in “Meet the Mayhems”?  As James previously posted on social media, this does not impact him from continuing his role as Valentin on GH.

Considering everything Di$ney owns these days, that’s quite a commitment. Uh, you do realize that also includes GH, right??

Not Walt Disney’s soul though…. I acquired that a long time ago!

Satan,
Not watching GH, has not been a problem since 2013. As far as I’ve seen the last time our odd looking friend jps was awesome was in an episode of Ghost Whisperer. Just glad he has a job.

ESPN Sports Personality and ‘General Hospital’ Guest Star, Stephen A. Smith Reveals COVID-19 Nearly Took His Life

In a harrowing account of coming down with Covid-19, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, who also has a recurring role on General Hospital as Brick, revealed his battle over the holidays that led to him being hospitalized because of the severity of his symptoms.

On Monday, Smith returned to his co-hosting gig on ESPN’s First Take and it was there he shared what happened during his breakthrough case of Covid.  Stephen had been fully vaccinated. Smith said that he had tested positive late in December and wound up in the hospital with pneumonia in both lungs over New Years.

Photo: ABC

Stephen A. discussed the details, expressing:  “I had 103 degree fever every night. Woke up with chills and a pool of sweat. Headaches were massive. Coughing profusely. And it got to a point where right before New Year’s Eve, I was in the hospital into New Year’s Day. That’s how I brought in the New Year.”

He went on to say about contracting Covid-19: “For me personally, it hit me differently. (Doctors) told me, had I not been vaccinated, I wouldn’t be here. That’s how bad I was. I had pneumonia in both lungs. My liver was bad, and it ravaged me to the point where even now I have to monitor my volume, get to the gym every day … I’m still not 100% with my lungs, but I’m Covid negative … I’m on the road to recovery.”

On a happier note, Smith shared how glad he was to be back at work after testing negative: “I’m ecstatic to be back. I’ve missed being at work. I’ve used more sick days in the last month than I’ve used in my 28-year career in this business.  And I can’t tell you how lucky and sincerely blessed I am to be sitting here with you guys today because two-and-a-half, three weeks ago, I didn’t know if I was gonna make it.”

So, glad to know Stephen A. is on the mend from a very scary bout with Covid? Share your thoughts in the comment section

GH’s Kristina Wagner On Felicia’s Concern Over Maxie’s Emotional State

While Maxie (Kirsten Storms) knows exactly where baby Louise is, not many other people know, especially her mother, Felicia (Kristina Wagner).

Now, with Kristina Wagner back on-contract at General Hospital, it opens up more angles to play in the ongoing saga of “What happened to Maxie and Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) Baby?”

GH viewers know that Louise is “Bailey” and being taken of by Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).  However, according to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, look for Felicia to be very worried over Maxie’s attitude toward finding her baby.

Wagner shared to SOD on Felicia: “She is absolutely concerned about Maxie. Why is she behaving this way? Is she traumatized to a point where she is not frantically looking for her baby?”

The actress goes on to say about her alter-ego: “Felicia thinks ‘What is wrong with you?  Your baby’s missing. Why are you not (falling apart)?’ And Maxie says, ‘I have to stay calm for my other children.’  She has a way of justifying it, but Felicia is questioning Maxie’s behavior.”

Look for Felicia to be more determined than ever to help find Maxie’s baby, which we know could spell trouble for everyone!

So, do you hope Felicia learns the truth about Louise, and helps Maxie with her cover-up? Or do you hope Felicia helps get the little one back in Maxie’s arms sooner than later? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
