Ingo Rademacher Sues ABC Over Vaccine Mandate

Photo: JPI

Former General Hospital cast member, Ingo Rademacher is once again making headlines.  The fired actor, who had played Jasper Jacks aka Jax, on the ABC soap opera, is now suing ABC over its Covid-19 vaccine mandate.  Ingo was terminated from GH after failing to comply with its mandate.

According to TMZ, Rademacher filed documents in Los Angeles Court on Monday, saying he was terminated in early November for refusing to get a vaccination shot, which he calls a violation of his right to privacy under the California Constitution.

Oh, dear. Seeing as the Supreme Court decided in 1905 – yes, 1905 – that vaccine mandates were constitutional, and that this week the current Supreme Court declined to overturn a vaccine mandate for healthcare workers in New York State for religious reasons, this is going nowhere. Just a headline-grabbing move.

When are people going to realize it’s a shot NOT a vaccine. How many vaccines have you taken in your life that you have to keep taking over and over and over? NONE. Calling it a vaccine is just blurring the lines. If the media would post a study on natural immunity vs the shot, I think the country would be shocked.

Betsy-MEDICAL definition of a vaccine is biological preparation used to stimulate body’s immune response against a disease. MEDICAL definition of a shot- hypodermic injection. GET THE MESSAGE?

“Vaccine = a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease.
“every year the flu vaccine is modified to deal with new strains of the virus””

“Shot = an injection of a drug or vaccine.”

The shot is the means by which the vaccine enters your body.

You are very misinformed.

Thank you for a dose of intelligence on here!

JJ- you and I have a very different idea as to what a dose of intelligence is.

We get a flu shot/vaccine each and every year. Children get booster shots after their initial vaccine shots. It’s normal and it’s how it works.

Hospital workers can not keep up with Covid admissions due to unvaccinated people dying. They have no natural immunity! You were fed lies by tv and radio news people! You he vaccines are working so get one! Signed an RN of 23 years!!

Religious exemption??

Well, I never knew Ingo was especially a religious guy, but I’ll take his word for that I guess. Which particular religion is he claiming?? Because for the record, I seem to recall Pope Frank and many recognized leaders of the Protestants, Mormons, Jews, and Muslims all speaking favorably of the vaccine. Some even literally calling it a “godsend”.

Same with the Buddhists & the Hindus, from what I recall.

If Ingo’s claiming to be a Satanist, that would certainly be news to me, but if he is…. just get the damned shot already.

So that pretty much covers all the religious bases I can think of…. Hell, even if he worships that bloated Orange turd (as many of the folks claiming these “exemptions” do) then surely you know that HE got vaccinated, right??

He’s about as religious as The Flying Nun. Wait; was she religious? I read an interview with him from a few years ago when he said he wasn’t necessarily against vaccines; just wouldn’t want to give them to an infant. Something to that effect. Now he’s all about conspiracy theories and “freedom” to infect others. I think he was also anti-mask because that, too, is about being “controlled.” Which of course didn’t stop his wife from making them and him promoting them; they’re still selling on their website. I see a future cult leader in the Senate… And, yes, he’s a Trumpster.

Christian scientists don’t believe in human science and medicine. I understand Steve Burton is a Christian scientist, but if it didn’t work for him… Good luck trying to go up against Disney…

That’s what I think he’s going up against Disney… does he not realize Disney owns ABC?
He won’t get very far with this lawsuit

I agree with you 100 percent

Steve tried medical and religious exemptions I’m thinking that when the pope says ok get vaccinated the religious exemption is kinda put the window… funny how everyone else pm staff at abc Disney had no problem following the rules…

If Rademacher is truly concerned about his “right to privacy,” may I suggest he crawl under a rock somewhere? Please note: I am not mandating this — I know how much he hates mandates. And what gall: to trot out the tiresome standby, “religious exemption.”

Love this!!!

Thank you, Que4u!

I have a better suggestion, he can take his sorry behind back to Australia and never come back if he is being controlled.

Andre, I definitely like your idea!

Ingo is a man child plain and simple! Boohoo I have to get vaccinated or lose my job! Give me a break. Hope you aren’t wearing your seatbelt because that’s a mandate as well

The 10 commandments tell you to love your neighbor as yourself and getting vaccinated is the way to do that so this religious exemption excuse is a bunch of crap.

❤️

He is very misguided. I hope his children do not contract the virus due to his idiosy.

Good for you Ingo, sued the pants out of them!!! It’s your body, it’s your choice!!! I can’t even watch soap opera’s without them playing the political card!! I’m so done with GH!!

Agree

He’s acting like a privileged spoiled brat, that things didn’t go his way so now he’s going to try to sue to get money he’s no longer making since he was fired. I think he’s burned that bridge and he just needs to move on!

Way to go Ingo! We must all fight this intrusion into our lives and freedoms. Don’t give up. You are a rarity in your business

Frances- Ingo’s rights STOP when he is endangering the health of others. Each of his co-stars has the right to refuse to work with those people who are not vaccinated. Ingo KNEW he would be let go by GH if he did not get vaccinated.

Oh, give me an effin break!!

I think he is right! Don’t get me wrong I got the first two shots and a booster but that was my choice and my health was bad. It was my choice, as it should be his choice!! Their going to ask him to explain his religious beliefs in America? He will win this lawsuit and. It have to act he’ll be able to retire and surf the rest of his life!!

I am confused… I read his firing was due to “unkind remarks’ he made regarding/about a (transgender) cast member – Which is it? If he did make said rumored remarks, I personally find his comments totally uncalled for and offensive – but to add insult to injury and sue ABC/DISNEY over the vaccine mandate (which is their RIGHT) I’ve heard enough from him. Steve Burton also opposed the vaccine mandate and I respect his decision (do not agree with him) to accept the consequences associated with mandate set by ABC/Disney. I love the Jason character and hope that Steve returns. As a watcher of GH for over 50 years, I have a vested interest in this Soap and its characters and agree with the ABC/Disney mandate to protect cast members and crew.

He and Steve were both let go because they didn’t comply with the vaccine requirements. The other issue you refer to was that Ingo posted a “meme” with a picture of Dr. Rachel Levine, who is a transgender woman, that called her a “dude.” The purpose? To state she’s not a woman for some idiotic political point he was trying to make (He shared that “meme” from a post by a bigoted right winger.) He got a lot of push back for his despicable decision to post it from many of the other GH actors. Cassandra James, who play Terry, is a trans woman and called him out, as did Nancy, Laura, Eden, Maura, and others.. but he wasn’t fired for it. As said, he was already let go because of their vaccine requirement, same as Steve.

Isn’t it funny, Rebecca1, how people’s true character gets exposed in spite of their best efforts to whitewash it… He’s suing Disney over a “principle”? As Jeannie Bueller said, “Yeah right. Dry that one out and you can fertilize the lawn.” He wants an out-of-court settlement he can retire on, since the next 20 years he planned on playing Jax have apparently been sidelined, or worse.

I hope he wins his choice his body we have rights

Shelly Dietzler-just as Ingo’s co-stars have the right NOT to be required to work with someone who is not vaccinated.

THANK YOU!

You don’t have rights when it can effect other people’s health.

Anti vaxxers either don’t see it that way, don’t believe in the severity of COVID or just don’t care. This ‘my body my choice’ argument is not valid. I can get the virus when exposed to someone who has it. I can’t get pregnant by being around a pregnant woman. COVID is highly contagious, and the variants, even more so.

The absolute truth about all of this is that right wingers only adopted this anti-mask/anti vaccine cult mentality right around mid April 2020 when statistics showed that COVID was killing more black & brown people than it was white people. Now there are a number of reasons for that. Most of them come down to economics and which populations (generally speaking) are likely to have better access to health care and healthier diets (look up “food deserts” if you need clarification on that one). There’s also the fact that darker skinned people have a better chance of being deficient in Vitamin D – which is naturally absorbed by the skin from sunlight. And while Vitamin D is NOT a cure for Covid (despite what the snake oil peddlers claim) it IS a boost to the mortal immune system in general, and it’s probably a good move for anybody to take Vitamin D supplements in the winter months, when that big yellow natural source isn’t really present in many parts of the world.

So like most by-products of the Trump fiasco, this is deeply rooted in bigotry. That’s not to say that Ingo or Steve are racists themselves (though Ingo has been called out for other forms of bigoted hate recently) but they have bought into these idiotic doctrines that are spread by the same crowd who marched down the streets with their Tiki torches shouting “Jews will not replace us” and other hateful dragonshit.

Ingo, Steve and the other anti-vaxxers do have their rights. So since these viruses are so contagious and deadly they can just stay isolated at home. Not fun but everyone has to sacrifice to get through covid as best we can.

Keep those donuts coming as you become a fat pos now work on keeping your immune system healthy! Yep the government helps you so much knock it off ! Now Ingo go find a job and quit making lawyers richer ! This has and always will be about the money ! Follow science how well did Fauci fight it help the gay community when the aids virus went nuts? He is a dwarf whose goal is to make himself richer and more powerful ! Get smart take care of yourself ! If this so called vaccine was the answer then why is Washington exempt??? Use the brains god gave you read everything you can on helping your immune system !! You know that thing God gave you!! Smarten up!!

Kay…Good idea to always work on keeping your immune system healthy, The White House has been consistent and informative with their almost daily covid messaging including wearing masks, social distancing and getting vaccinated. Along with updates on the frequent changes of a virus that keeps mutating and is really infectious. And hard when not all persons and some states aren’t doing what they can to stop the spread. I like and respect Fauci.

I know devout people of faith who are refusing to get the vaccine for religious reasons. I think they are wrong but I believe its their right to refuse and we shouldn’t trivialize their sincere beliefs. I also believe a company like Disney has the right to require its employees to be vaccinated. His role as an actor requires him to be on a closed set in close proximity to other actors and staff and possibly act in scenes where social distancing is impossible. I don’t think he is going to win.

He’s using the religious exemption, as many are, to first get out of the mandate and now, to sue. Hes been spewing conspiracy theories and screaming “medical freedom.” He simply didn’t want to take it, and, yes, that’s his right. And it’s a company’s right, particularly during a pandemic in a country with 800,000 deaths, to require a vaccination for employment.

Well, I should have seen that one coming, shouldn’t I? Good grief, what a wuss this guy has turned out to be. Just get the freaking shot, dude.

It’s hilarious! Let him go back to Australia with this nonsense he’ll see that he gets nowhere! Just goes to show how far this country bends over backward to accommodate right wingers.

I’m so proud of him for standing up for what he believes. That mandate is total BS. I hope he wins!!! The country has become so brainwashed by the media they can’t see what’s happening right in front of their faces. Wake up!!

Ingo can stand up for what he believes in. What Ingo CANNOT do is endanger the health of those people around him. California and Federal law both make it clear that COVID is a threat to the health of all Americans. As for the mandate, you and Ingo have two choices: either get vaccinated OR stay away from other people.

He can choose not to be vaccinated, but the show has a right to do what they feel is best to protect their cast and crew. Exercising his right doesn’t mean that there are no consequences for his choices. Steve Burton, although I don’t agree with his stance, has handled his exit with much more grace.

Which amendment of the Constitution guarantees a TV job at Disney Co?

Good for him! He should have been fired for his insensitive social media posts, not for doing as he chooses with his own body.

Bill-no sympathy for Ingo on getting fired for refusing to get vaccinated. Ingo can do what he wants with his body but Ingo cannot endanger the health of people around him. I hope Ingo has a long and happy life away from people.

Well, thats it for Ingo at GH! Why not hire Danny Boaz who recently played Chance on Y&R?

Backing you 100 percent this whole thing is nothing but for financial n political gain…absolutely illegal…anyone needing religious exemption letter contact me…I commend you Sir for standing up for God!!! Now us the time to put on the armor of God!!!

I’ve known my Former Employer a lot longer than you have, and while I’m obviously not usually endorsing him, I’d bet any number of souls that he would want you to trust the scientists. Didn’t he give them the brains to do their jobs, after all?

Perhaps this (along with all the freakish weather lately, and other things) is meant to be a wakeup call to you mortals, because you disregarded the mission he gave to those naked folks in the Garden of Eden to be good stewards of his creation.

Believe me, I was there – wearing a snake suit – so I know what he said!

Pamela -ingo standing up for God!?! That is absolutely the silliest comment yet! Next in line for silliest comment “put on the armor of God”.

YOU have read the recent United States Supreme Court ruling on vaccine mandate? The Court leaves in place the vaccination mandate for New York health care workers. Do you honestly think the Supreme Court won’t side with Disney on its vaccination mandate?

FYI -I seriously doubt that YOU ARE LEGALLY ALLOWED to grant a religious exemption letter that will be bc accepted by Disney and other corporations.

I am sad this issue of being vaccinated or not has come into our daily escape, aka “our soap”. I am vaccinated and now don’t know how i would feel if either Jason or Jax came back… sad… i just want to watch my soap.

He’s a selfish, childish POS. Not only is he ok with increasing the chance of infecting his coworkers, but then he can’t even accept the consequences of his choice.

After the way ingo has been treating fans of daytime, and anyone who doesn’t agree w him 100% I can’t imagine that abc Disney or hallmark will want much to do with him… I did not believe he thought his angry words would endear him to any fans… let alone Disney fans! Abc Disney I hope you are not being dragged into his one person war against science and his coworkers

Well said, Que4u! Like-minded Fox’s Tucker Carlson interviewed Rademacher, which solidifies his standing as a loon (aka vax denier, truth denier, conspiracy theorist).

What a creep. There’s no coming back from this. His inability to face the consequences of his actions is astounding. Who would have thought that such a big prick would be so afraid of a little prick?

Go Jax I hope you win and get your job back. Include Steve Burton so we can have Jason back too

At this point it’s more likely that the entire show (and all of TV) will be shut down again soon, as rapidly as this new Covid variant is spreading around.

Timing couldn’t be worse…. Helliday season, and not a damned thing on TV but sappy Xmas movies, followed by two months of reruns in Jan/Feb.

And that’s WITHOUT a shutdown. Put a new covid lockdown on top of that, and it’s going to be one HELL of a boring rest of the winter & spring.

I’m immortal, so the virus can’t get me…. but the resulting boredom of another shutdown definitely will.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Brook Lynn and Chase Have Their Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties

On General Hospital, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) both were treated to Bachelorette and Bachelor parties to shake off any of those pre-wedding jitters. At The Savoy, the ladies have a touching and fun time with Brook Lynn.

The bride-to-be gives a speech to thank everyone for coming, while Lois lets everyone know to try the signature cocktail the “Brooklynn Chaser”, which gets everybody eventually and mostly, drunk.

When Tracy (Jane Elliot) questions Lois (Rena Sofer) as to why there is no music for the party, Lois realizes she forgot, and somehow, who does she call to the rescue? Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)! Saving the day, he winds up playing some tunes and later gets on the dance floor to ‘shake it off’ with the gals.

Photo: ABC

Lois makes a speech as the mother of the bride, and shares how proud she is of the woman Brook Lynn has become. Wedding games begin, including one of “hot potato” with a wedding bouquet.

When it’s time for the “Silly Poses” section of the party, Spinelli has now morphed from DJ to staff photographer taking memorable photos of the ladies to remember the evening by.

Photo: ABC

The best part of the event, was when Brook Lynn tries to get her grandmother Tracy out on the dance floor, which, at first, she refuses. After several of the guests bust a move, a tipsy Tracy joins the dance party after Joss mentions that if her grandmother Bobbie was here, she would dance. Tracy says “she agrees” and begins to cut a rug on the floor, much to the delight of the other women.

Photo: ABC

In the final moments, a tipsy Joss and Kristina (Kate Mansi) have a confrontation about Sonny, and Joss lets Kristina in more on Sonny’s behavior, which looks to have clued in Kristina a bit more as to how something is way off about her dad.

Photo: ABC

Across town at the Hatchett Bar, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and the men with the exception of Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper), all attend Chase’s Bachelor Party where throwing hatchets into a dart board for supremacy is the order of the day. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Ned (Wally Kurth) get into some words over ELQ, while Dante makes a toast to his police partner, Chase.

Photo: ABC

Suddenly Dex (Evan Hofer) shows up. Chase thanks Dex for coming, but Dex gets some dirty looks from other cops on the force. Dante gives Chase his present, which is a signed baseball by the Boston Red Sox.

Ned (Wally Kurth) makes a speech that although no one is good enough for his daughter, Brook Lynn, Chase has come closer than anyone has, so welcome to the family. Running in at the end is Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), who just left Brook Lynn’s party, and she toasts her singing partner, Chase, and to the great man that he is.

As previously reported, Cameron Mathison (Drew, General Hospital) will be seen doing double duty this summer when he premieres in June as the host of Game Show Network’s Beat The Bridge.

Here’s the catch: the team gets to keep the money only if it can “beat the bridge” by returning one of its players back across before time expires.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Nina Confronts Ava for Sabotaging Her Relationship With Sonny and Signs the Divorce Papers

Looks like Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Ava (Maura West) are back to be each other’s sworn enemy number one. By the end of the Monday, April 22nd episode of General Hospital, the women know where they stand with each other after Nina goes in on Ava accusing her of wanting Sonny (Maurice Benard) all to herself, while her marriage has been on the rocks.

In story, at Nina’s office, Ava shows up to see Nina and says she is sorry about what happened with Sonny and that he reacted the way he did, acknowledging that is was over the top, even for Sonny. Ava says she’ll smooth things over, but Nina says she now understands how manipulative and transparent Ava really is.

Given their horrible history, Nina goes in on Ava and how she should never have trusted her. Nina wants to know how long has Ava had this agenda dating all the way back to telling Nina to turn Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) into the SEC. Ava says she never told her do to that, but Nina wants to know how long Ava has been playing her for a fool.

Courtesy/ABC

Ava says she moved in with Sonny to keep Avery safe and she wants to be on good terms with Avery’s father, Sonny. Nina thinks she likes being in Sonny’s inner circle. Ava tells Nina if she goes to him about her advising Nina to call the SEC on Carly and Drew, it won’t work.  Sonny still considers Nina a traitor and he will think she’s lying because she’s so desperate to win him back. Ava says if Nina would stop blaming everyone else that maybe Sonny would respect her.  Nina says “like he does you?” Ava says Sonny not only respects her, but he also counts on her.

From there, Ava launches into why she and Sonny understand each other, after all, Sonny is a powerful, turbulent, and sometimes violent man. She goes so far to say if Nina wanted someone to just sit by the fire with and play with their grandchildren, she’s got the wrong guy.  Ava then talks about Mike from Nixon Falls (Sonny with amnesia) and how Sonny hid the darkest parts of himself from Nina back then, whereas with Ava they are the same similar creatures, so he doesn’t have to hide anything.

Courtesy/ABC

Nina wants to know just what Ava wants with Sonny? What is her end game? Ava responds that they understand each other, in ways she can’t with Sonny. Nina tells Ava she can go ahead and have it all and signs Sonny’s divorce papers. Ava walks out with the documents, while Nina in tears at her desk, takes off her wedding rings and has her assistant come in so she can messenger the rings back to Sonny’s address.

The episode and these scenes featured great performances by Cynthia Watros and Maura West. You can check some of the scenes below.

Now, let us know, what is Ava’s next move? Is she going to become Mrs. Sonny Corinthos? Do you like Ava and Nina as enemies? Comment below.
