Michael E. Knight On His Status On Joining Prospect Park's All My Children!

The man everyone has been waiting to here from, Michael E. Knight (Tad Martin) spoke with Soap Opera Digest and offered up where he stands at this point in time on joining the online revival of All My Children, stating simply, that it’s just an issue of timing right now. But he also had some encouraging words that Tad might walk through the AMC set doors, sooner than later!
Knight stated, “With me, personally, it was simply an issue of timing, period. I consider (executive producer) Ginger Smith to be, actually, one of my oldest and dearest friends, in that industry and in life. And I had asked her for patience with me because as I like to put it, I didn’t say no, I just said, ‘I can’t do it right now.’ I love the fact that the interest is there and I firmly believe Tad is going to be walking through Pine Valley in short order at some point.”
Michael also thanked the fans for wanting to know his status and that of Pine Valley’s Tad relating, “I just want to reach out and express my personal and heartfelt thanks to the audience for even caring enough to wonder where the hell that Tad guy is (laughs).”
So soapers, what do you think about Michael’s statement? Do you think he will eventually come to Pine Valley? Let us know your thoughts!

Pluto TV picked-up the All My Children Channel that the Nixon family has created in partnership with BEONDTV +. The show which aired for 41 years on ABC and ended on the network in 2011, had so many memorable storylines and characters; the least of which is the enduring run of Erica Kane played by soap icon, Susan Lucci.
As previously reported, starting with episodes from the year 1995, which was the 25th anniversary of the soap. Pluto TV Canada viewers will be able to catch 8 episodes on repeat per day. With the success of the venture, the Nixons are hopeful that they will bring viewers many more years of the show to come.

Sarah Nixon, producer, shared with Michael Fairman TV exclusively, “We are thrilled that Pluto TV has launched All My Children in Canada! Let’s hope the engagement from our incredibly loyal fans across the border will encourage ABC to bring it to the U.S.! We share what Aggie (Agnes Nixon) always felt, that it is the enthusiasm and love from the fans that has kept this legacy beloved and relevant – to this day!”
In addition, 0ne week ago, during Susan Lucci’s visit to Los Angeles promoting her book La Lucci, she was joined by her former Pine Valley castmates, Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee, AMC, now Taylor, B&B) and Eva LaRue (ex-Maria, AMC) and the trio posed for a pic. At that time, LaRue shared via Instagram, “NEW All My Children channel streaming classic episodes 24/7 now on Pluto TV Canada! Fingers crossed to watch soon on Pluto US.”
That was also confirmed this week by TV Watercooler’s Jeevan Brar who took to X and expressed, “The All My Children channel begins streaming this Friday, May 1 on Pluto TV Canada.

Mark Consuelos Mourns the Loss of His Father
Saul Consuelos, the father of All My Children alum and Live with Kelly and Mark co-host, Mark Consuelos (ex0-Mateo, AMC), has died. During an emotional moment on this mornings, April 6 edition of the syndicated talk show, Mark shared, that his dad, “passed away peacefully” back on March 23 following a long illness.
His wife and co-host, Kelly Ripa (ex-Hayley, AMC) paid tribute to her her father-in-law expressing, he was, “the greatest person I’ve ever known. I can honestly say I will miss him every day for the rest of my life, as I know you will, as our children will. He really is so symbolic of everything you are.”
Kelly and Mark’s children, Joaquin, Michael and Lola Consuelos are said to be taking this extremely hard. Ripa added, “This is the first loss they’ve ever experienced in their lives. And I said, ‘By the time I was 8, I had no grandparents. You got to grow up (with grandparents). You got to have deep, meaningful conversations (with them).”

In another moment, Mark reflected on his dad. “It’s funny, I used to make a joke about my dad … if you asked him what time it was, he would tell you how to build a watch. There were a lot of lectures, a lot of lectures and I learned so much. If he was fixing something in the house, he’d make me watch and do it. And I didn’t know at the time why he was doing that. But now at the house, I’m able to do at least half of the stuff that he did. I learned the most by just watching him.”
Mark added that Saul Consuelos came to the U.S. from Mexico in his early teens and served our county for decades, detailing, he “Ended up at Special Operations Command in Tampa. This young kid from Mexico just got his education from the navy. Was always going to school. Was brilliant. Got his Masters while I was a kid. He loved his country so much, If you’re going to put a face to an immigrant, he would be the prime example of what this country promises people.”
In a very heart-tugging moment, Consuelos shared that now its important they be there for his mother, Camilla. “We gotta take care of mom. We’re trying to convince my mom to move to New York. She’s such a character, she’s stubborn. What do you think, a cooking segment here on Fridays with Camilla?”
Now below, watch the very touching and emotional moments as Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa mourn the loss of Saul Consuelos.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Visits ‘The View’ Where Hosts Sidestep Controversial ‘Buffy’ Reboot Axing, But Talk ‘All My Children’
On yesterday’s March 17 episode of The View, All My Children alum, Sarah Michelle Gellar (ex-Kendall Hart), was the special guest. Since Monday, Gellar has been the subject of a hot-button issue since about the surprising turn of events that the highly-anticipated Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, in which she stars, and which was directed in the pilot by Oscar-winning director, Chloé Zhao, was no longer moving forward.
Gellar‘s appearance on the ABC morning talk show was devoid of any mention of Hulu cancelling its planned Buffy: New Sunnydale, in which Sarah was set to appear along with Ryan Kiera Armstrong. However, Gellar did discuss her new movie Ready or Not 2: Here I Come from Searchlight Pictures.
It should be noted that both Hulu and Searchlight Pictures are owned by The Walt Disney Company, while The View is produced by ABC News, which is also owned by The Walt Disney Company.

During the awkward interview, when it became clear the ‘Buffy’ reboot topic was off the table, The View co-host Sunny Hostin, talked about the “intense fight scenes” that have become a staple of her TV and film career starting with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Scream 2, and I Know What You Did Last Summer.
The ladies of The View also brought up Sarah’s beginnings on All My Children as Kendall Hart (1993-1995), showing a scene with her and her on-screen mother, the iconic Erica Kane, played by Susan Lucci. The discussion sprung out of another All My Children alum, Michael B. Jordan (ex-Reggie Montgomery) winning the Oscar this past Sunday for Best Actor for his role in Sinners. The View’s Joy Behar was quick to point out with Gellar, the All My Children alums that have gone on to great fame.

Photo: ABC
Previously on Monday, Gellar opened up to PEOPLE about being blindsided before while at the SXSW Film & TV Festival premiere for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. “I got the call as we were stepping onto stage for the premiere of their own movie. And it’s also the weekend of Chloé going to the Oscars as a best director nominee for Hamnet. For them to call us on the Friday of what should have been Chloé’s victory lap for an incredible film, and my world premiere of something that I worked very hard for is… that says something.”
She went to say, “We had an executive on our show who was not only not a fan of the original, but was proud to constantly remind us that he had never seen the entirety of the series and how it wasn’t for him.” Deadline reports that “multiple sources” identified the executive as Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich.
“I loved the duality that we had with this new, younger slayer who was where Buffy was when the show started, and then we would pick up with where Buffy was now,” Gellar told People about the setup. However, according also to Deadline “After the pilot was completed and delivered, according to multiple sources, Hulu’s main note was that it played too young, with some indicating that the streamer also felt the show was too “small.”’
In the rewrite, sources also told the outlet that the writers did not take big enough swings, so they set out to do a rewrite it again. The last revision was more adult, featuring a lot more of Gellar’s Buffy, and was described as a more of a streaming show than a network one. When all is said and done there is hope that another Buffy IP will be up and running within the next couple of years.
You can check out Sarah Michelle Gellar’s full segment on The View below. Now let us know, bummed there is no Buffy reboot? What do you think about how this high profile Hollywood saga was side-stepped on the morning show? Did you love Sarah as the original Kendall Hart on All My Children? i hope he will be able to join the amc reboot – i am more anxious to see tad than i am seeing erica………….
Me too!! Erica can retire as far as I am concerned
I ‘d rather see Erica than Tad. Someone from the original cast should be on th show. And Tad really has lost his allure. He is still funny but hardly romantic. In fact Tad somehow has aged to the point of being in Erica’s territory. I know every one has their favourites but the cast list is rather dubious. If they are aging the kids you would think Kendal/bianca and Erica would be key. Yet those charactters seem to be gone. I appreciate the desire to offer multi ethinic groups but Angie and Jesse while teenage sensations are like MEK rather in that ho hum stage. And they didn’t have grand kids who really could be aged unlike Erica. AMC lost viewers when they had characters wh appered to have little roots with Pine Valley so having Kara and her brother while eye candy really not helping the story line or history. Is there something we don’t know? Ie. the salaries are paltry so it is those who are more desperate to work. I don’t see Ryan dying to come back. Julia Barr obviously would want back – sadly she hasn’t found work despite being an excellent actress, I hope Lucci is not being difficult but it seems her work schedule might be the problem. Can we assume the pay is lower? Maybe Vincent Izarry isn’t in demand so much? I think the case for OLTL is stronger. AMC has a lot of actors without roots to Pine Valley or strong roots and it would Jesse and Angie dont’ have great roots with those cast in the reboot. Surely AMC can figure out something to get Lucci to recurring. Maybe shoot some ghost scenes in Atlanta and insert them at least for now?
I’d rather see both! They are AMC!!!
I hope Tad comes back. I miss him so much! He is one of AMC’s favorite Character. For most AMC fans, the show won’t be the same with him!!
I mean the show won’t be the same WITHOUT him…:)
I love Tad/ME..
I just don’t feel it, I think he is being polite and that he is not overly gung-ho to go on ..
But, as his ”walk through Pine Valley” would be welcomed..
Maybe he is playing it smart and not committing until he sees how well this new venture goes, first..
That’s a good point, and you could be right, he may be waiting to see how
this project takes off – when he speaks of the character of Tad he doesn’t
somehow come across as being overly thrilled about it.
I agree. I sure wouldn’t commit to an online show with a production company that has dropped the ball in the past. I’d give it time. Why tie yourself up with something that may not work/last?
his statement; was neither here nor there…. wasn’t it…. hard to read in to…:
picking apart…
Timing….
Patience.
I didn’t say no.
“…FIRMLY believe’s Tad will walk thru Pine Valley.”
—————————–
The excitement and expectations…. if only they all could have said like… Dixie… and Opal….
we are here to support this medium and see it take off and fly….
ok… what i think they said…
I think Michael is great as Tad Martin, but if they need to, can’t they recast temporarily until he becomes available? In the earlier days of soaps they used to announce “due to the illness of so and so the part of _____is being played by______”. I don’t think viewers were crazy about that sort of thing, but on One Life to Live wasn’t Dorian played by Nancy Pinkerton, Claire Mallis, Dixie Carter and ulimately by Robin Strasser? Isn’t recasting a part of the Soap World?
There are some that will be accepted as recasts and there are some that can not be replaced/recast and Tad Martin is one that can not be replaced.
I agree with you….recasting is a part of the Soap World….Although, I would love to see MEK on the AMC reboot…..I mean, soap fans have had to deal with lots of recasts. I missed Sarah Michelle Gellar in the role of Kendall, but Alicia stepped in and she gained a huge fan following, after time passed. I think it’s all about making the right decision when doing a recast. The casting director just has to turn on their thinking cap and make smart decisions….
In the case of Dorian, the actresses who played Dorian before Robin Strasser didnt stay in the role long enough to make a lasting impression on me as Robin has. I barely remember the others who played the role, or the actress who played the part when Robin briefly left the role in the 1980s. But Micheal is the only actor i remember playing the adult Tad, and he had that role so long it would be a difficult recast just like when DOOL tried to replace John Clarke as Mickey Horton who originated the role in 1965 and played it for over 30 years. Of course some shows have had some successful recasts like Another Worlds Rachel, but then in most of those cases the original actor wasnt in those roles like Micheal has been with his role as Tad. But if he wont reprise his role and the show really needs Tad then i guess a recast is necessary if some of us like it or not.
Most have seen teen Tad grow and become a man and to a senior citizen .. WOW near a life time..
No one could replace ME/Tad ,, that just would work, nope ..
Wait…Tad isnt a senior citizen! Soaps age characters fast enough dont do it too. You make me feel really old now, su0000! lol
Hey Johnny. I want Michael Knight because He is Good Looking and He is Funny and I think He is A Good Actor. It isn’t 8 Years, but One Life had The Two Todd Mannings. Roger Left so They got Trevor. Then, Roger came back. I don’t want Somebody Else with Michael Knight. I just want Michael Knight. Jody
There is no one like Tad.
I’m hoping Michael does do a drop-by at least once or twice to AMC. With so many of the original cast still yet to commit to the PP on-line show, I can’t blame Michael for not doing so. I can only assume that PP will be recasting of so many of the cast members. I’ve read so far these are the only original cast who have signed so far are: Darnell Williams as Jesse Hubbard, Debbi Morgan as Dr. Angela Hubbard, Vincent Irizarry as Dr. David Hayward, Lindsay Hartley as Cara Martin, Jordi Vilasuso as Griffin Castillo, Jill Larson as Opal Cortlandt and Thorsten Kaye as Zach Slater (I heard rumors that Cady McClain as Dixie Cooney-Martin might be in the works)
I watched AMC since nearly the first episode, but, in my opinion, a show without Erica, Tad, Jackson, JR, Adam/Stuart, Jake, Amanda, Krystal, Colby, Liza, Frankie, Randi, Brot, Natalia, Ryan, Greenlee, Annie, Kendall or the children, Emma, Spike, Ian, Trevor, Little Adam, Kathy, and Jenny (apologies to anyone I missed) will be a sad show. Too many recasts will be too confusing for the loyal watchers of before. Maybe AMC re-boot should be put on back burner a little longer. Wait to see how the re-boot of OLTL goes first. More origninal OLTL cast have signed for the on-line version. Also the availability of where the “new” soaps can be viewed is also going to matter, I hope SoapNet or some other cable network will broadcast the episodes.
Hello Barbara. Randi is on A Cable Show and Colby is on A Cable TV Show. Brot or Rather JR Martinez has Already said that He won’t be Back. I think He is Doing Something, but I forgot what it is. He may be Doing Some Project with his Wife. They did have A Baby Last Spring. Therefore, I think Natalia won’t be on Either. I don’t know about the Man that Played Frankie. You would think Prospect Park would have Frankie with Cassandra and Their Parents. Annie is on The Young And The Restless. Erica will be on One Episode. Kendall is Too Busy. Ryan is Too Busy. I don’t think Rebecca will Sign On. Jackson hasn’t been Contacted, but He is Doing Plays and His Stand Up Comedy Act. David Canary Will be on, but It will be An On Going Basis. Jake is Doing A TV Show with his Real Wife. Amanda wants to do A Sit Com. NO, I Do NOT want to wait and see how One Life To Live Does. All My Children has been off Longer than One Life To Live has. I’m Tired of Waiting for All My Children. Jody
Hi Jody, You misunderstood. I want AMC back. Maybe I am being selfish, but I want the original cast, not almost all re-casts. I only suggested that since more of the OLTL cast is willing to work with PP and TOLN that AMC delay their restart. Perhaps if the original cast who have yet to re-sign see how well OLTL does, it might prompt them to agree to sign. If OLTL is a flop, then they won’t lose whatever they are currently involved in. To the best of my knowledge, this is what the AMC alumni are doing. (Alphabetical by actor not AMC role) Justin Bruening (Jamie Martin) is on ABC family Switched at Birth, David Canary (Adam/Stuart Chandler) has been doing live theatre, Bobbie Eakes (Krystal Carey) rumored that Actor would be returning to The Bold and the Beautiful, Melissa Claire Egan (Annie Lavery) is on Young and the Restless as Chelsea Newman, Ricky Paull Goldin (Dr. Jake Martin) is executive producing for the STYLE Network, Natalie Hall (Colby Chandler) was on ABC Family hit show Pretty Little Liars as Hanna’s step-sister, Kate, Shannon Kane (Natalia Fowler) was on Hollywood Heights (Nickelodeon) as Traci Madsen, Susan Lucci (Erica Kane) is to be on ABC series Devious Maids as Genevieve Delacourt, J.R. Martinez (Brot Monroe) is an Inspirational Speaker, Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery) hosts an online Dallas after show on after every new episode of Dallas on its website and occasionally co-hosts Good Morning America, Cady McClain (Dixie Cooney-Martin) Has published books of poetry and musical albums, Alicia Minshew (Kendall Hart) was the lead in the film, “Desires of the Heart” that was filmed in 2012, Chrishell Stause,(Amanda Dillon-Martin) has been doing commercials, Denise Vasi, (Randi Morgan-Hubbard) has been in print-ads as a model, Walt Willey (Jackson Montgomery) owns and operates Crystal Mesa Farm Bed and Breakfast and performs in live theater, Jacob Young (JR Chandler) is on The Bold and the Beautiful as Eric “Rick” Forrester Jr.
The problem with BROT and many of those other characters is that they were brought on to AMC when AMC lost its way and roots; they don’t have the history the other characters have to help bring them into the fold so to speak. MEK and Lucci are key. Oddly MEK is scene as a foundational character but really he was like 15 years or so in. Lucci is needed for roots – they can make her a Phoebe character for now if necessary. Otherwise its AMC with 5 new teens who appear to have ilttle to do with the original characters – sounds like one hot or not so hot mess. Really Angie and Jesse without someone to play off of? Opal without Erica or Tad? Adam without Brooke or Erica?
One of the most underrated actors in the genre, but he is simply one of the best to ever grace the industry. I know he’ll be back, and when he joins, it will be spectacular! In the meantime, I will patiently wait and enjoy the show when it comes back.
Thank you SOD for reaching out to MEK and getting the scoop. I really did not want to read this. I hope they can figure out a way to work the story around him not being there right away. He also spilled the beans that Ricky Paul will not be back as Jake. So I assume that Chrishell Stause won’t be back as Amanda either.
I recall reading that Chrishell wasn’t interested…. she wanted to be available for …??? prime-time auditions…. a sitcom… show her comedic side….
She is so damned cute….. I was so smitten with her…. her and janet…
i always seem to be taken with single mothers and their daughters….
Janet – Amanda
Susan – Emily
Marion – Liza
Edna – Dottie
i’m sure i missed some….
it’s too bad, cause Chrishell Stause is hot…
Good grief though, there have been so many actors playing Jake I have literally lost count, so what does it matter if they recast the character for the umteenth time –
as for Amanda, they could fairly easily recast that role if it’s even necessary, but of course her mom is Janet from another Planet so it could be a key role.
Hello Johnny. Jake was Played by Michael Lowry, J. Eddie Peck and Ricky Goldin or whatever his Name is. That is THREE Jakes. That is Not Umpteenth Time if They Recast. That will be Four Jakes. They had Joey Before Michael Lowry. By the way, FIVE People have Played Bianca so It is Pretty Common to have Several People Play A Character. Jody
What is up with the AMC actors? They got practically EVERYONE back on OLTL and they can’t seem to get core characters on AMC. Goes to show you maybe that OLTL was about a TRUE blue loving cast of the show and the medium where is seems AMC is about the money maybe? I dunno. Disapponted in Susan Lucci.
Hey Joe. Susan Lucci is on TWO TV Shows. She Can’t just not show up for Them. Susan WILL Be on One Episode of All My Children. Maybe Later, She can come Back. Also, Susan was on 41 Years. She has Spent her Entire Adult Life Playing Erica Kane. Everybody on All My Children had to pull Their Children out of School and Disrupt their Life. If the People on One Life To Live had to do that, then They would be Hesitant Also. Erika Slezak who is Viki Did Hesitate because of how They Pulled the Show out From Under Them. David Canary is Older than Bob Woods and Yet Bob Woods wanted to Retire. Bob Woods is Bo on One Life To Live. They were going to be off for 5 Weeks so Bob Woods Agreed to come back and Be Bo. He said that he is Too Old to Work All the Time. So It’s Not that the People on One Life To Live Love the Show Better than the Money. People are All the Same. It Depends on Their Circumstances. Jody
well said….
it’s my hope… they… the Veterans….. original’s as it were…
at the very least…. help the Show’s….. AMC needs it more… to get it off the ground and give it wings….
I so appreciate Michael E. Knight acknowledging all of the interest in his possible return to AMC (thanks Michael). I am encouraged by his words, especially since he has a close friendship and working rapport with Ginger Smith (the EP). I feel confident that Tad Martin (Michael E. Knight) will be part of the AMC reboot at some point soon, I truly do.
Love Tad Martin, and love Michael Knight too! I sure hope they get Tad back as soon as possible! I can’t wait for the new shows to start airing.
Come to think about it, Micheal E Knight might have been temporarily replaced as Tad somewhere around the late 80s or early 90s but if he was, i dont recall the actor which shows how much i feel that M.E.K. is the one and only Tad. At first i didnt like the idea of a recast but after a few minutes of thinking it over, i guess id rather see a character there connected to the shows history than one that isnt at all.(well i can accept some newbies to help refreshen the show. Tad wasnt there from day one but he was adopted by the Martins who were there from the begining. So you do need some new faces but as long as they connect to the shows history in some way like Tad has done, im fine with it. I just dont like it when someone new comes in and old favorites are pushed in the background in favor of a newcomer and he or she takes over.)
TAD MARTIN was played by Mathew Anton from 1973-77, and then played by John E. Duan from 1978-81. In 1982 The role was recast with Michael E. Knight in the role of the then “20ish” Tad Martin. In 1990 TAD MARTIN was played by actor Terrell Anthony. Some time after that, Michael E. Knight returned to the role. I do agree that almost thirty years in a role, even on and off, does form a lasting impression on viewers. I have a feeling that for right now, they are not planning to recast Tad Martin (I could certainly be mistaken) – the character went through some rapid aging as SOAPS are known for, but really, Tad Martin would only be about 49 years old, not exactly a senior citizen, geez, if the Martin family found him as little boy in the mid 1970’s.
Thanks for the Tad info. I was trying to recall some of that. Back between the 1960s and early 1980s my family watched a lot of these serials and were always swithing back and forth between some that were oposite each other. we had one tv, no remote and no vcr back then like we do now but that didnt stop us soap addicts.
Hey Johnny. I don’t know exactly how Old Tad was, but he was in High School so He was Not 20. That’s how Tad got Involved with Liza and had Scenes with Alfred. In Fact Tad got the Porn Film to Embarrass Alfred who was going to Show A Marx Brother Movie. However, It Turned out to have Jenny in the Film and Embarrassed Her Instead. Jenny was Tad’s Sister. Jody
Yes, Jody, this may be a shock to you but I remember all that, I am not a kid, have been watching the show for years and years. When Michael Knight took over the role in 1982, he was 23 years old. I’m not saying that Tad was that age, I’m sure they meant for Tad to come across as a bit younger. I am acutely aware that Jenny was Tad’s sister and that she died in an “accident” involving a Jet ski. Dixie came to Pine Valley in 1988 but was not initially played by Cady – and believe it or not I am very aware that recasting is a big part of the Soap world (regarding your other comment) – and I hope that viewers keep that in mind because I sense quite a bit of recasting down the road for this new presentation of AMC.
ME/Tad came in 1989 as young teen 17/18ish and soooo handsome!!
And he still is a very very handsome man..
ME went from teen to senior citizen in Pine Valley .. wow!
Michael Knight Did NOT Come in 1989. Michael Knight Came in 1982. He was in High School when his Sister Jenny became Involved with Greg. There was Liza and Alfred. Tad Started to go out with Liza’s Best Friend Amanda. Then, Tad was with Liza and had the Affair with Liza’s Mother Marian. Later, Tad got Involved with Dottie and then Tad got Involved with Hillary. Then, Jenny Died on the Jet Ski. Right after that, Tad and Hillary got Divorced. Then, Dixie came to Pine Valley in I think 1989. Jody
Yes, you right, it was 1982,, 🙂
I believe last time he did not sign up for Prospect Park either and said (if I remember correctly) that Tad had not been front burner in a long time and was basically a narrator. I think they’d have to promise him an interesting story line long term. I think he felt he had turned into what Joe had been, the good guy of the town who had no real story line. I think AMC blew it when they put Tad together with Dixie again. Tad and Cara was exciting. So Prospect park and writers- I think maybe you can have a chance with Michael Knight (if he’s interested in appearing at all) if you tell him you’ll have Tad and Dixie realize that train has passed and put him back with Cara and give him true story lines. Maybe then he’ll come back. Please Michael..! Regardless I wish him much luck and happiness.
ME/Tad became so alive and full of new life when with Cara!!!
When they put him back with Dixie the life went out of him and he became a dull older man again, so sad,,
Wow, in that SOD interview he says Ray McDonnell (Joe Martin) will be part of the show!
I’m guessing it will only be once in a while- but regardless, if Ray is on there I will be so glad. Especially if Michael Knight is not, as least we’ll have a Martin, as it said there will be no Jake. Of course they’ve changed Jakes from time to time so they could get a new Jake. I wish Julia Barr would come back on. That would be fabulous.
Hello Lin. Several Places have said that Julia Barr IS Joining All My Children. Jody
Love Michael, so I hope he eventually will come on board.
I’d love to have MEK come back as Tad. I’ve loved that character for eons. I remember him pairing up with Dixie at the back when Dixie and her siblings first came to Pine Valley.
And as Jill Larson and Cady McClain also coming back that would be a huge incentive, too. Martins, Chandlers and Kanes are the long-standing families.
Tad was on All My Children around 7 Years Before Dixie came to Pine Valley. Tad got Involved with Liza in High School and that was in 1982. Jody
Thanks so much, Jody. I saw that online yesterday. Very excited. I also read a comment which sounded like Michael Knight plans to join AMC at some time in the future. Here’s part of a quote:”Then, when we start working together we’ll have some time to deal with it. I’ll be very interested to see what happens — and I’ll be watching!”
Hoping to see Michael E. Knight back in Pine Valley. Love the Tad character and Michael is a great actor.
I can’t wait for him to return. He’s one of my favorites. Tad is role that can only be played by Michael, so I would rather wait until he is available than to see them recast his role.
I have missed every actor and actress on AMC, however, I have missed Michael probably more than any other character (no pun intended)! I miss his humor most of all. I think he’ll be back and sooner rather than later.
Be still my heart! I miss you Tad!
Hello Barbara. Most of the Cast IS Busy and Involved with Other Projects. That has Nothing to do with Refusing to Sign and If One Life To Live does well, then They will Sign. If they weren’t doing Other Things, then maybe They would Sign. Cady would Love to Sign and She says that They have Talked to her. David Canary has Signed On An Ongoing Basis. I don’t know if that is Recurring, but that is what that Sounds to Me. Michael Knight said that Joe Martin will be on All My Children. Now, I have Read that Several Places have said that Julia Barr is Joining All My Children. Susan Lucci WILL Do One Episode. Also, Jennifer Bassey who was Marian said that There will be Some Wonderful Surprises In A Couple Of Months. Maybe Several People will Finish Their Projects and then will Come on All My Children. He needs to be back on for good, being selfish here. They finally get Tad and Dixie back together, I really hope both are on and together full time for good!
Tad was I think 8 Years Old and He was brought to the Hospital. Joe and Ruth Adopted Him. Michael Knight was the Third Tad. When Tad was 8, He was Blond. When Tad was 12, He had Black Hair. He broke up with A Girl so he got on Drugs and He Ran Away. Then, Paul Martin Helped him get out of Trouble because Paul was A Lawyer. Tad came home and that was Michael Knight. The Children in High School are Miranda who is Bianca’s Daughter and Erica’s Granddaughter and AJ who is Adam’s Grandson. I think there may be Kathy and Jenny who are Tad’s Daughters. Maybe there will be Spike who is Kendall’s Son and Erica’s Grandson. Angie and Jesse are on the Show and Angie will work with Joe Martin and David Hayward. Petey who is Tad’s Brother will be on the Show. Maybe Petey will Run Cordtlandt Electronics. Opal will be Involved with what is going on with Petey. Brooke has Signed Up so Brooke will Represent the Tylers who were An Original Family in Pine Valley and Joe Martin will Represent the Martins who were Another Original Family in Pine Valley. Also, Brooke and Adam may be Together. Jody
Please come back to AMC Michael E Knight!! You are my favorite actor from AMC and I really am looking forward to seeing Tad again. your #1 fan!!
There is another possibility. All of this talk by us helps prospect park to know what we want. If certain characters get a lot of interest from us, it helps PP decide how much salary to offer the actor and how much value they are to the show. The same goes from the actor’s point of view. Michael E. Knight could simply be holding out for more money which might be offered to him at the last minute based on our discussions about him and his character. As well, some actors may be waiting to see how the reboot fairs. If it is successful, then they may be more interested in joining. At that time if it were successful, PP could then offer more money to regain the core cast.
I really, really hope Tad returns to AMC. I was a teen when he was a teen on the show and crushed on him like crazy. I’ve loved the twists and turns of his character and the Tad and Dixie on again off again sagas. I really liked him with Cara too…and to be honest Pine Valley would not be the same without him.
I so want Tad to be on AMC again. He is one of my all time favorite characters of any show.
I sure hope that Tad will return!!! Pine Valley would not be the same without him!!
Come on Tad the Cad…we neeeeeeed youuuuuuu!!! <3
Oh please please please come back, I’ve watched AMC since the 80’s and grew up loving Tad and Dixie….. The chance to set their story right would make all the horrible story lines and terrible things they did to what use to be an amazing way to tell stories worth the pain!
I want Tad & Dixie together! Please make it happen!
Oh yes! Would love to see it!
Everyone would love Tad back. Hope it happens
Soon.
Michael please please please come back to AMC online. I have watched this soap for 30 years and its just not Dixie without Tad.
I’m hoping Tad will return. He and Erika were always the stars.
I hope Tad joins Dixie, after all the years of watching All My children, watching Tad and dixie find their daughter, it just would be wrong not to have him back!
AMC IS NOT THE SAME WITHOUT TAD THERE. PLEASE COME BACK.
I have loved All My Children for a very long time and the energy, fun, and interesting story lines that Tad (the cad) brings to the show is amazing. It is just not the same without him. I personally hope he returns sooner than later.
