Michael Saucedo (pictured here with wife, Rebecca Herbst), who ABC confirmed is heading back to General Hospital has been overwhelmed by the response from fans on the return of his character of Juan Santiago who has been off the canvas for almost 13 years!

To acknowledge all of the love and show of support from GH fans, Saucedo took to his Twitter account where he related:  “WOW! Thank you, thank you for all of the wonderfully kind comments I have received about my return to General Hospital. It has been torture sitting on this secret for the last few weeks. To say I’m excited would be an understatement. @valentinifrank and @carlivatiron – it’s an honor to be a part of a show that means so much to so many. Thank you for thinking of me. #GH50 #Gratitude

Look for Saucedo show up on the canvas sometime in November!  We have an idea of what brings him back to the show, do you?  And, what about pairing Juan with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst)?  Let us know your thoughts!

Maybe for Sabrina’s wedding? Which hopefully in true soap fashion will be interrupted by Robin!!

An interrupted wedding is too predictable…i want Robin to show up but before she can reveal herself she is captured by Faison and Dr.O and returned to Cassidine Island…I want Patrick and Sabrina to wed without any interuption…they go on a honeymoon…Patrick and Sabrina are on a boat that becomes shipwrecked and the newlyweds find they are on what they first believe is a deserted island but it turns out to be Cassidine Island where they then finally come face-to-face with Robin and Jerry Jaxs other hostages…this would be more exciting and suspenseful than another predictable wedding interuption…of course they’ll probably do a wedding interuption anyway!!!

I think his response was great and so appreciative of the fans! Glad to see him back!!! Would love to see him with Liz if the story line makes sense!

Juan with Elizabeth was my first thought! Will be so cool for their children to see them on screen together!

Other than a momentary “Hi” scene I’m sure we won’t see Becky. This writing regime has little use for the character of Liz and can’t stop talking about her “baggage” as an excuse. Liz has no more baggage than any other character on the screen and yet she is the only one they can’t seem to write a story for. I’m glad that Michael is back. But I am sure that since Juan is connected with Sabrina, I’m sure he will get way more airtime than his extremely popular, yet constantly undervalued wife.

Liz has become todays version of Jessie Brewer…stands behind a nurses counter with very little to do but listen to other peoples problems and give advice…i really liked her with A.J.

i agree with you about this regime, i’m so dissappointed that liz isn’t a major character, actress Rebeca Herbts is so beautifull, you would think all the men on the show would be falling for her or something yet, nothing. i’m hoping she get put with Nicolas, and i don’t mind her with a.j but this regime needs to stop with the lame excuses and put her front and center.

that’s awesome news….. I always liked Juan!

This 70 year old Grandma is thrilled to have Michael back on the show. Now is the time for the writers to get their act together and spin a compelling storyline for Elizabeth and Juan. Becky has many frustrated fans who are tired of her being put on the backburner, and what better way to correct this than to put her front and center with her handsome real life hubby!

That is a Better idea

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Nina Has a Feeling She Has ‘A Daughter Out There’

The latest promo for this week’s episodes of General Hospital has been released and from the looks of it – and a key episode set to air on Wednesday April 8th – the mystery surrounding if Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) biological daughter is alive, and if so who is it, looks to be kicking into high gear.

There is that necklace that Nina is looking at in the promo, Nelle (Chloe Lanier) who seemingly now is being given an opportunity to work with Nina thus getting closer to her who notices the necklace, and then there is Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), who many have thought could actually be Nina’s daughter given their original tense relationship.

And coming up on Wednesday, look for a special episode where the show looks at Carly’s (Laura Wright) past with her adoptive parents Frank and Virginia Benson before she came to Port Charles in 1996.

Look for Eden McCoy (Josslyn) to play a young Carly, Cynthia Watros to play Virginia, James Patrick Stuart to play Valentin, and Willa Rose to play a young Nelle.  What will we learn from that episode?

Now below watch the latest teaser from GH, and let us know if you think Nina will finally figure out who her real bio-daughter is via the comment section below.

Happy 57th Anniversary Today to General Hospital

ABC’s daytime drama, General Hospital turns 57 today, and remains the current longest-running soap opera on the air.  GH debuted back on April 1, 1963.

The show was created by the husband-and-wife team of Frank and Doris Hursley.  Originally, the soap was not given a name of a particular town in which the drama of the hospital was set in.  However, that all changed in the 1970’s when GH was set in Port Charles.

GH expanded from a 30-minute show to a 45-minute show on July 26, 1976 and eventually went to a full-hour where it has remained back on January 16, 1978.

Throughout its decades on the air, GH was the impetus for two spin-offs; Port Charles, (which aired from 1997-2003) and primetime’s GH: Night Shift (2007-2008),

The show went through many ups and downs over its history, but things changed dramatically for the better, when by the end of the 1970’s and facing cancellation, ABC brought in executive producer, Gloria Monty to steer the ship.  Monty created supercouple Luke and Laura played by Tony Geary and Genie Francis, and opened the show up with exciting location shoots, and from then on GH has remained a firm mainstay in the daytime line-up.

Today, Frank Valentini is the series executive producer, and the soap is co-written by the head writing team of Dan O’Connor and Chris Van Etten.
