Oh brother…is this a clip from 1977? Because everything on here has been done to death before…and better…goodbye Days.

No…its not from 19777…i watched the show in 1977 and it sure was 100% better than it is today!!!

Whar saddens me is losing Jenn Lilley. I csre not what hsppens to Hope, Jimmy. I hope Rafe forgets all about her.
Also, when is Abby making an appearance?…unless she’s already in Salem, as I said weeks and weeks ago. Abby will arrive without anyone’s knowledge spying on everyone. Will she take Thomas away?
Also, I am intrigued by the dee-lightful surprise inmate Hope will meet. Do you have any idea who it vould be?

Celia…its Marlena’s lookalike Hattie

You mean, Andrea Hall? Deirdra’s twin? Gran said she played Marlena’s twin, Samantha. But, wasn’t she killed by the Salem strangler?

Why on earth has the Brady pub been closed recently except for secret visitors and family members? SMH..What did I miss?

OMG !!! Hillary Bauer (Marsha Clark) from Guiding Light is the Judge in Hope’s trial.

Thank you Roman and Rafe, you two keystone kops covered up what Hope did and let her take the fall. You guys should join Hope in prison.

Lol….that’s funny, but true, Rayburn. I cannot stand this trio. I liked Rafe, but TPTB have turned him into a spineless, crooked cop, losing his integrity over what? A disturbed, mentally defective, much older woman.
So, she should escape punishment because her name is Horton? Well, not literally, but, you know what I mean. LOL.
I do not care that she was under stress and her past with Stefano haunted her. She should not have been a cop. A police officer needs his/her mental faculties at all times. Someone in Hope’s legendary state of mind should not be toting a gun.
Bad, bad writing.
I just have this creepy feeling Stefano is alive and Andre has him stashed somewhere. Hmmmm, with EJ? LOL.
When Andre found his father in all that rubble; could Stefano still have been alive and breathing?

This looks promising; more promising than the soap has been since earlier this decade, and it only took them 4-6 years to pull themselves out of a rut!

Stephano lives!…Hope is free!…Jade is preggers but who cares…and Joey is probably not the father-this would had been better if Eve was pregnant with JJs kid and if Paige was still alive…Jade-how boring she is!!!…Marlena’s lookalike-Hattie whoever…will she get out of prison and pretend she is Marlena and marry John?…oh, Theo doesnt trust Valerie-i written some stuff to Days over a year ago and suggested that storyline!!!..fall preview looks ok but its just a continuation of whats going on now…i give it a C-!!!

What is the purpose of “Blanca”. She should have gone with mamma Hernandez!

I prefer Maxine to Valerie.

Yawn…zzz So long Days

First, let me start by saying DAYS is finall looking GOOD! As for what story I am most looking forward to? Nicole’s baby of course!

it’s the perfect equation to answer – “for” – Nicole

she may not have family, but the gods look out for her

and hers… baby love future

that story line so took me by surprise…. I’m SO happy for Nicole

if it’s a boy… their is no need to name it Daniel Jonas… puhlease !

I quick watching a while back when this show when black and so many things changed and no longer have any interest in watching…Goodbye DOOL, it’s only a matter of time till it’s canceled.

I’m “quick” to watch each episode these DAYS!

I hope you meant “dark” when saying “black” because I’m enjoying the African American presence on DAYS and the mood is much less dark!

He didn’t say “went black” he said “when black” I may be wrong but I took it as John or Brady changed.

yes Brady should know the truth

I will watch because I love the show just wish they would do something new why dont they just get a new Tressa instead of having some guy from her past come back to haute her

The idea of the powerful drug lord suddenly showing up is stupid. We know these are characters being portrayed by actors. All that was needed was a voice over announcement saying, “The part of Theresa Dovovan will now be played by ________ ________.” Problem solved.

Exactly! That’s how it was done in the old days. No convoluted story on why the character looked different. We’re adults, we don’t need to, or care, why they look different . Change the actor and move on with the story! Stop changing the story to change the actor!

you said it all thats what they used to do

They don’t even do voiceovers now.

They should have recast the role. Theresa’s exit storyline is ridick.

what a massive improvement ! great to see that Days is back in business with great , juicy and exciting stories . I am giving up for good on young and restless and bold and beautiful and will now only watch Days . I plan to watch it everyday !

Overall, it looks to be a good season for DOOL but Theresa and the drug lord….really? All those spies and ex-spies can’t stop this man? It is a little strange unless they plan to bring this character back to the canvass.

They want to keep it open so they can bring Theresa back in the future. Personally, I’d prefer they recast the character and keep her on the show.

While I like the story ideas and think the reveal Of Abigail was spot on, I can’t seem to get excited by the reveals. Damos’ baby reveal is ridiculously repetitive for the show. Can’t they develop stories as opposed to throwing them on us?

What teenagers care about their friends dads love life as much as Theo’s friends?! So unrealistic! And if Abe’s idea of a first date is a lobby at a hospital he needs a jolt to start his heart up! Theo gets to the hospital in time to catch Abe and date within moments of getting a call? Stupid. And sudden.

I do not like Theresa’s exit storyline. I would prefer they recast the character.

When Gabby came to JJ’s house, WHO LET HER IN??
Does Jennifer now have an unseen butler?

Is Henderson working there now? 😉

Open door policy.

Preview highlighted no stories I can invest in

Meh – all of it has been done to death. I don’t wish to sound negative, and I know soaps are known to be far-fetched – but, when theresa overdosed (on purpose) why would Victor call Kayla, who just “happened to be” available? Wouldn’t most people dial 911? He called a doctor who answered her own Phone? Wow, I work with Doctors all day, I’d sure like to see THAT LoL –

Franco LoPresti and Sydney Malakeh Makes Their ‘Days of our Lives’ Debuts: What Were Your First Impressions?

Franco LoPresti and Sydney Malakeh

Days of our Lives fans were introduced on the Monday, September 14 episode to Dante Vitali in the form of actor Franco LoPresti, and reintroduced to Sydney DiMera as now played by Sydney Malakeh.

The DAYS writers connected the story by having them as major participants in a high stakes poker game in Monte Carlo where Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) with Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) by his side, are trying to win enough money to save Titan Industries and the Kiriakis legacy.

When we first meet Sydney she is in front of a mirror putting on her lipstick as she puts the finishing touches on her look for the evening, when she receives a call from her grandmother, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).

POKER FACE

Later, Sydney shows up at the poker game with Dante Vitali, who introduces himself as Sami Brady’s fiancé. Philip explains that he has his own connections to Sami and would prefer his presence in the game be kept under wraps. Dante tells Philip he does not keep secrets from Sami.

Gabi asked Dante about his connection to Ava Vitali, to which Dante shared that although they shared the same last name, they were not close. Gabi says that’s good because Ava is “bonkers.” Dante did not appreciate Gabi disparaging Ava in that manner.

Philip is shocked that Sydney is such a poker player. Then we get the backstory on how she learned a lot from her grandfather, Roman Brady, and when she went to school, she played poker to beat the mean girls and realized she was quite good at it.

In the end, after throwing one guy out named “Otto”, who was “cheating” in the game, Dante offered two additional hands to Philip with a new deck. Dante asks,“Winner take all?” Philip says, “Works for me.” Eventually, Philip won the hand, but alone with Gabi told her he did not win enough to save Titan.

DID MARLENA GIVE BIRTH TO STEFANO’S SON?

As all this is going down, in Salem, Marlena is wistful worried that there is something she has blocked out in her memories from her time being kidnapped by Stefano. She tells this to a concerned Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes).

Meanwhile, Belle (Martha Madison), Chad (Conner Floyd) and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) have all made it to Italy, and find hidden in a replicate chess set, just like Stefano willed to John and Marlena, a photo of Stefano with a young boy dated 1992 with whom they believe is “Dominic Marino.”

At the end of the episode, Dante shows up to a room with the mystery person wearing Stefano’s ring. He assures the person that no matter how many chips Philip won, he would not be able to save Titan and the Kiriakis mansion. Then, Dante utters, “Well, played, Dom.”

So, what’s going on here? Is Dante a bad guy? Is Sydney a schemer? Did Marlena have Stefano’s son, named Dominic Marino, but blocked the whole thing out for decades? And, what were your first impressions of the highly-anticipated debuts of Franco LoPresti and Sydney Malakeh? Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, in case you missed, check out this week’s promo for Days of our Lives below.

‘Heated Rivalry’ Star Franco LoPresti Opens Up About ‘Days of our Lives’ Debut as Dante Vitali

Published

Next week on Monday, September 14 will mark the first appearance in Salem of Franco LoPresti in his new Days of our Lives role of Dante Vitali.

Heated Rivalry fans now LoPresti very well from his part as hockey player Cliff Marleau in the series first season. (No word yet if Cliff appears in season 2).

Now in a conversation with TV Insider, DAYS fans will learn that LoPresti is on the soap for a limited run. No timetable was given.

When LoPresti does burst onto the scene come Monday, Dante makes quite the impact as Franco LoPresti explains. It seems that viewers will first see him in scenes in Monte Carlo at a poker table with none other than Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) and Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier).  However, Dante will come to Salem to talk to the Brady family about his supposed fiancée Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney).

Franco shared, “Dante was born and grew up in Italy and educated at this pretty top-tier English boarding school. He then went on to build his own dynasty in finance, all the while trying to distance himself from the Vitali name (as viewers know Tamara Braun played his cousin Ava Vitali).”

“But at the core of Dante, there’s definitely an old-school quality to him”, continued LoPresti. “He’s super passionate, he’s sincere and incredibly generous, but he’s also someone that you probably shouldn’t underestimate. Loyalty is something that means a lot to him. As Dante enters Salem, I think the audience will get to slowly peel back those layers and discover what’s really driving him. So, I’m excited for Days fans to go on that ride with Dante.”

As it turns out, LoPresti taped his episodes of DAYS starting back in November 2025 which happened to be weeks before Heated Rivalry became a smash hit.

Franco recalled, “It’s so funny because I thought my episodes would air in a month (on Days of our Lives). But I found out it was nine to 10 months and I was like, ‘I gotta wait that long?!’ So, I’ve been biting my nails, trying not to think about it, and I think it’s actually kind of helped because now it’s here and it’s all coming at me from all different angles. I’m nervous. I’m excited, and I just can’t wait to see it all come together. It’s one of the best jobs I’ve ever had for sure.”

In his personal life, Franco just had his first child with wife, actress Emily Alatalo, just a weeks ago on August 23rd when they welcomed their daughter, Stella into the world.

So, looking forward to seeing Franco LoPresti’s debut come Monday? What do you think about the fact that it’s being reported as a limited run? Do you think Dante and Sami have a chance on-screen or off-screen to be a happy couple? What do you really think brings Dante to Salem sans Sami?
