Nobody Does Weddings Like DAYS … Get Ready For John and Marlena’s

Courtesy/NBC

A Jarlena wedding written by DAYS head writer, Ron Carlivati can bring with it several things: delicious drama, fun, love in the air, and dire circumstances!  And from the looks of this just released extended :30 promo for next week’s episodes of Days of our Lives that is exactly what viewers can expect.

The question is  … through it all, will John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) finally re-tie the knot?

From the teaser, it would seem there are many expected, unexpected, and surprise guests attending the nuptials including: Sami (Alison Sweeney), Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk), Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Belle (Martha Madison), and a person whose face is in bandages in a tux!  And in the finest of soap opera traditions, things look to being going horribly wrong before the wedding day,

But as the promo teases, this wedding is a weeklong event, and someone will not be going home from the wedding when a gunshot is fired!

And if that was not enough, it looks like Will (Chandler Massey) finally remembers his love for Sonny (Freddie Smith), and it appears a long-awaited reunion may finally may be the order of the day, but what about Paul (Christopher Sean)?

Let’s not forget the last tine Carlivati wrote a series of major episodes for a wedding event – that of the double wedding of Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail (Marci Miller) and Sonny and Paul – and we all know what happened that time!  Ben Weston (Rob Scott Wilson) showed up at the church just in time to drop the bombshell that Will was alive which put a major clink in Sonny and Paul’s portion of the big day.

So what do you think will go down?  Will Jarlena get to say their “I Do’s”?  Who possibly gets shot?  It’s a not-to-be-missed week of DAYS.  Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below.

I just want to know that John has worked the 12 steps for Ancestry.Com addiction. Honestly, it was really disturbing.

Yeah, they really should have kept him as Forrest Alamain. That was the identity that made the most sense.

So what Do I think?Um I have a feeling that someone from John’s past will show up and spoil everything.Like Kristian if I spelled that right. Then again what do I know.Could be someone from Marlana’s past perhaps her twin will show up I cannot think of her name,Bonnnie L”S friend.

You are thinking of Hattie. I don’t think it’s Kristian cause it says Stacy Haiduk is back playing Susan. AS for the guy in bandages, could it be Leo?

Wow, Karen!!!!! Great guess…..Leo! Yes, could very well be. This would exculpate Will and Sonny. The plot would definitely thicken!!
I doubt it’s Kristin—but, one never knows.
It could be virtuous Hope sleepwalking again.
Remember when her pills made her commit criminal acts which landed her in jail? If only it were Hope…..one can dream…..

Hoping against hope that it is Jack in the bandages. But Leo does make sense to me.

John will be shot at but Patch takes the bullet and has to leave town for recovery as he lapses into a coma or cant walk…Sami brings baby Rafe to the wedding and predictably it messes things up for Rafe and Hope…if Sami has any more children i heard she and they will star on Neflix’s Eight Is Enough reboot-lol

I soooo hope EVERYthing gets messed up for Hope and Rafe, Jimmy.
I grit my teeth each time Hope is on stage!! Rubs me the wrong way….always has…along with Gabi and Claire. Grrrrrr!!
❤️

Can’t wait!

Oh, please….not the Hattie and Bonnie ‘saga’, again!!!! I want to SCREAM, people!!!!
A ‘wedding Marlena doll’? Really?! What did Hattie do? Ask a henchman go to Mattel and ask for its ‘face’ artist to manufacture a Marlena-head-facsimile and screw it on a Barbie body? ….or was it Bonnie, in order to obfuscate matters?
Then, along comes the virtious Hope……when, oh, when has she become soooo righteous?
As far as I am concerned, the only character who has been steadfastly as close as possible to maintaining integrity is Adrienne……unless I missed something?

There really was a Marlena Doll…had in my late mom’s doll collection and i sold it for 50 bucks several years ago!!!…Hope is getting a bit overbearing!!!

Really, Jimmy? A Marlena doll? WOW!!!!
A couple of posters speculated that the doll was sent by Kristin. I didn’t think so, albeit I did say one never knows.
Well, it turns out to be Susan ( not the same without Eileen Davidson)…… could it really be Kristin in disguise? It’s so much more feasible considering Susan is in a mental institution?……and, Kristin’s body was never found……truly bubbly, soapy!! LOL.

There was also an Erica Kane Doll as well…both by Mattel…sold that one for 50 bucks too…both were mint in the box!!!

Good one…never thought she could be Kristen…without Eileen still thought the actress did a fine job for a replacement!!!!

Eileen who? I am just being mean, mean, mean!

Let John and Marlene be married and happy.Let will go for sonny and if anyone gets shot let it be Gabi that’s if she’s asked!

We see the town’s people filling up the chairs, but where is the real friends and family, namely Ari,Maggie,Abby,Chad,Ciara without Hope, because she’s too busy at the P.D, seeing how she can still nail Ben.Lucas if he’s still around and Kate, who has goitten pretty friendly with Marlena. Also can’t wait to see the bandaged man, unless that was just for the dream sequence. Thought it might be Jack, still recovering from his being smashed in the elevator, or EJ who’s been waiting out in the car for Kristen.
