On last night’s very special edition of TOLN Soaps Live with Michael Fairman, titled “Llanviewpalooza”, the Blog Talk Radio series celebrated this week’s 45th anniversary of One Life to Live with very special guests: Jerry verDorn (Clint),  Melissa Archer (Natalie), Kassie DePaiva (Blair) and Andrew Trischitta (Jack)!

During the episode, the fantastic foursome fielded calls and also revealed…  how they each got cast in their roles, their favorite storyline of all-time, and who has the most bloopers of the group? Plus, who kept kissing their co-star long after they yelled “Cut!”, and who said their last episode was “steamy”? And a question was asked a few times of Melissa Archer … who does she prefer Natalie with  … Cutter? Or, John? Find out her answer!

Jerry verDorn teased on the broadcast that Clint’s huge upcoming umbrella story is about to set Llanview on its ear and really shake up the show in upcoming episodes when he related:  “I can’t talk about it too much because I just shot it! It’s one of those storylines I like because it involves the whole town!  Old people,, new people, young people, and it involves every storyline, and one event starts to cascade storylines over the top, and down the hill, and where audiences wants it to go.  It kind of make the whole town go a little bit nutty!”

Kassie DePaiva heaped huge praise on Jerry for the upcoming story stating to the listeners, “You guys have got some great stuff to look forward to because he knocks it out of the park!”  VerDorn also weighed in on the current on-screen status of Viki and Clint, and how it translates to any woman, which he tossed to Kassie and Melissa for their opinion saying, “As a woman if I said to you, ‘I would like to give you five millions dollars, a couple diamonds, and take you out to dinner, wouldn’t you go out with me!?'”

In addition to the chat, and the fans calls, Michael Fairman  revealed his number one pick for his favorite OLTL storyline/ moment of all-time.

Listen to the broadcast below to find out more surprises and secrets revealed by the One Life to Live contingent! Let us know, what you think will happen to Clint? Who should Natalie end up with? Do you agree with Michael’s pick for all-time OLTL moment?  Check out the fun and lively episode!

Glad to we’re getting a big Clint story, Jerry ver Dorn is freakin’ fantastic. And hey, if Clint’s turning a bit back towards the dark side, let’s get his Kimmie back to town!

Sorry, the actress who plays Kim is on Robin Williams’ new fall sitcom. I saw her in the previews.

Yeah, I know Amanda Setton’s occupied, but she could pop by for a visit. Or they could clone her lol!

Well whatever it is let’s hope it’s more compelling than Matthew dating a gal who turns out to be a maid – and let’s wish for it to be something well written instead of never ending inane scenes at SHELTER – in other words, tell the writers to get moving. The actors are doing the best that they can, with the rather mediocre scripts that have been presented thus far.

The writers are doing very well..
The Shelter is the social gathering action place of llanview, it is working well, it is modern and how clubs are these days 🙂
Matthew’s story is much more than dating a maid lol and the story is jut developing, I would like more action hope it will come..
Older people have never related with the 20ish generation, but the younger viewers do, and they are needed.
what has happened is; the prudes who complained about the reality to life sometimes cussing and hotter sex and high drama stories and now the absence of it has taken the soaps back to the censored writing of ABC 20th century soaps .
The soaps are now of the 21st century uncensored internet and reverting back in time to network tv soaps where they were/are a dying breed the censoring will be a coffin nail for the new media 21st century internet soaps that need to move into the 21st century media not revert back boring network tv.
What people watch on the internet is not censored, none of the internet drama series are not censured and that is why they are so popular. The now generation is use to watching uncensored media and prefer it.
The soaps have a chance to go into the internet to survive, not revert back to what was killing them off, no new viewers ……
because the soaps never evolved into new media no new viewers ((who ran to the internet drama series.

I hope PP will revert back to their original plan to modernize the soaps and use the freedom of uncensored creative writing to save the soaps..

I totally disagree with you – Shelter SUCKS!! I hate it, I’ve been watching OLTL for 35 yrs. Unlike you I’m not a part of the “now generation” – I love watching on the internet but the fact that Shelter is terrible has nothing to do with new media sources and younger viewers. It’s the actors and storyline that bring in the “now generation” and keeps the old viewers not a crappy set.

I love this man! I feel sorry for all of those “One Life to Live” fans that missed the work he did on “Guiding Light” as Ross Marler. There’s a reason he won those two Emmy awards in the 1990’s (pure talent!).

Hopefully we will be seeing less of the under-25 year old crowd on this show and more of the characteers (like Clint!) that we love.

There will ALWAYS be an under-25 crowd! The ‘next’ generation comes from somewhere. ..

My favorite moment was in the courtroom when Jenny’s sister admitted she was a hooker, that Marco was her pimp and that they set up Vickie. So great. (I forgot the character’s name). I also loved – in the beginning when it turned our that Carla was black and the cleaning woman was her mother.

I have watched since the beginning, it was one of my favorite shows so I’m thrilled we have it back on Hulu and Own! Keep on keeping on.

That was Karen Wolek played by Judith Light.
I loved the Carla/Clara storyline!

That would have been Karen Woleck (played by Judith Light) housewife by day, hooker by night and married to Dr. Larry Woleck. Loved that arc, that’s when OLTL hooked me.

Where is Jessica and why is she not being mentioned? The twin thing was so important to the show. I love Jack and Sam interacting too. Siblings stories are written so well.

OWN channel is on Canadian T.V. but does not show OLTL or AMC. How can we change this?

Ask everyone to call in and request the soaps..
If they see people have interest and will watch the network/soaps they just might give add the soaps..

Actually, you need to contact the FTC….they won’t allow OWN Canada to show any scripted series.

bring VICTOR HOME

Ditto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He and Tea are super together.

Michael, thanks more than I can say for these broadcasts. You’ve done so much to keep the spotlight on this show -and AMC – when the chips were down, and now you’re in the forefront of keeping us entertained and informed.
Your site, in my humble opinion is the best – and without doubt the classiest and the smartest, and it just gets better with every interview, every spotlight you put on the show. We fans, and the cast & crews of the shows owe you.

Thanks, guy!

it’s stimulating.

and that’s what we’re striving for.

you’re in your own realm.. how comforting is that.

I like the sexiness class appeal…. like you delving in to our own…

Agreed!

Natalie help dani. She is great family member her cousin jack bullied her nephew shane and she did nothing

I loved calling in to talk to them

Kassie DePavia’s first greeting to Jerry verDorn was very appropriate. This is “the A-Team.” I have always felt the OLTL has the strongest actors anywhere. And young actors just starting in the business learn and grow from working with these amazing veterans. Congratulations my beloved OLTL on 45 years of terrific storytelling. As always, I can’t wait to see what’s coming next.

jerry is a wonderful actor. also he has gorgeous eyes. i noticed jerry has put on a lot of weight. but he is still sexy as hell. lol.

Sexier in my book.

Yes YES CLINT!!!

the spoilers say clint causes a major public scene and bo nora and viki are horrified and take control of the situation bo and clint face off when bo tries to get clint to take responsibility for his actions next the buchanons come together at the hospital during a health scare and family crisis im guessing the health scare is bo or clint after their argument one of them has a heart attack scare buyt that’s just my humble opinion

Dancing with the Stars

‘Dancing with the Stars’ Might Delay Its Premiere, ‘Veep’ Star Matt Walsh to ‘Pause’ His Involvement as Celebrity Contestant Due to Strikes

More pushback for ABC and Disney+’s, upcoming season premiere of Dancing with the Stars.  Now comes word that ABC may delay its scheduled season 32 debut episode.

After the show was picketed by WGA and SAG-AFTRA members. one of the show’s celebrity contestants is ‘pausing’ his involvement with competing on the show, and that would be Veep star Matt Walsh.

In a statement, Walsh revealed, “I was excited to join the show and did so under the impression that it was not a WGA show and fell under a different agreement.  This morning when I was informed by my union, the WGA, that it is considered struck work I walked out of my rehearsal. I have been and will always stand with my union members of the WGA, SAG and DGA.”

Walsh added, “Beyond our union artists, I am sensitive to the many people impacted by the strike and I hope for a speedy and fair resolution, and to one day work again with all the wonderful people I met at DWTS who tolerated my dancing.”

As previously reported, DWTS falls under SAG-AFTRA’s Network Code contract, which covers talk, variety shows and soap operas and is at play through June 2024. Thus, celebrities taking part in the show, are not in violation of SAG-AFTRA strike rules.

Meanwhile, though an unscripted reality series, Dancing With the Stars is a signatory to the Writers Guild’s minimum basic agreement. DWTS in the the past has employed a WGA writer among its staff of reportedly, 500.  However, given the harsh blowback of participants crossing WGA lines, ABC is now strongly considering delaying its September 26th season premiere of the ballroom dancing/competition series.

So, what do you think of Matt Walsh’s suspending involvement on DWTS? Should the show also pause its premiere till resolution of the WGA strike, at least? The WGA and AMPTP are set to continue talks today on Thursday to hopefully move towards an agreement to end the strike.

Michael Corbett Returns to The Bold and the Beautiful

Viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful knew there would be more to the story of how Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) so easily got off the hook from Judge Evan Scott during her hearing on the CBS soap opera. That hearing, set Sheila free from jail and back into the lives of the Forresters and company.

Now, according to Soap Opera Digest, The Bold and the Beautiful is set to bring back Michael Corbett as Evan Scott.

Corbett, best known for his memorable portrayal of villain David Kimble on The Young and the Restless (1986-1991), last appeared as the Judge presiding over Sheila’s criminal case back on the July 24th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful.

SOD teased that when Evan shows back up on your screens, ‘a secret alliance’ will be revealed.
