As we previously reported a week ago, On-Air On-Soaps learned that over Daytime Emmy Weekend 2011 in Sin City, that lovebirds Terri Conn and Austin Peck had become engaged some time prior.  But now the news out today via Soap Opera Digest is that the couple actually wed last Friday July 1st!

The ceremony was said to be beautiful and the couple’s former ATWT co-star Julie Pinson (ex-Janet) was in attendance. Terri Conn wore a gown by Monique Lhuillier and the couple’s children —   Peck’s Aidan, who will be 9 next week and Roman, 6, and Conn’s, Julia, who will be 7 on July 8 — took part in the proceedings.

Congratulations to the happy couple from On-Air On-Soaps!

lmao Terri had on three different rings that whole weekend. Please that whole engagement thing was a copy out. Terri knows Austin does not love her. Why you think there was no wedding date every thing so sective because Austin would have changed his mind. I don’t see Austin talking in that video. He doesn’t love Terri, Terri is selfish, who preyed on a man when he wasn’t thinking clearly. Because yeah Austin wanted to marry somebody just not Terri. Wires got cross. Hell Terri knows all about it. So you tell me if u kn that a person is… Read more »

What are you talking about?!! You’re talking about Austin Peck like you know him personally!!!! I was a huge fan of ATWT and you can clearly see there was chemistry between the Austin and Terri. I have met both of them several times and both very nice people. Whay are you coming down on Terri so much. Obviously he loves her. She is so down to earth and a very nice person. You ask “what is so great about a woman like Terri?”What’s so great about anyone?!!! He obviously loves her. Shes pretty and really sweet. I don’t understand what… Read more »

I like totally agree on this. I don’t get mad fast but you’re just being rude to these nice people. Leave them alone. Why the hell would they er married if they didnt love each other.

Where are you talking about? Why would she do that, I mean come on get real. Terri wouldn’t do that to her daughter, and definitely not to her loved ones.

Oh yes she would! She is a unfit mom. She married a man that does not love her. just by doing that she has proven that she is selfish as u can get. Austin will never love Terri. Terri knows that Austin is in love with someone else. Who was making plans to go be with him, why you think her mouth is always open.

Yeah. Why would he do that? Why would he left his spouse, isn’t that a little weird? I’m totally missing sense here.

Amanda Seyfried Scores Oscar Nomination for ‘Mank’; Opens Up About Her Bad Times on As the World Turns

Monday morning, Amanda Seyfried (Ex-Lucy, ATWT) landed her first ever Academy Award nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category for her performance in Mank in the role of Marion Davies. The film also led the way for the 93rd annual Oscars with the most nods for any film with 10.

The Oscar ceremonies will air live on ABC on Sunday, April 25th.  You can view all the nominations here.

In a recent interview with SiriusXM host, Jess Cagle on his Jess Cagle Show, he asked the talented actress about her start on As the World Turns, to which Amanda replied, “It was really exciting, and really heartbreaking. They were mean – whoever was in charge there.  I was 15 years old, like fire me in a nicer way.  I clearly wasn’t making the cut.  I was terrified. It wasn’t a warm environment – and not that anyone was being mean to me to my face, but these people were coming to work and doing their thing and leaving, and I was 15, and I was bad, and they sent my character off to South America.  They didn’t tell me that, they just didn’t invite me back.  I heard it through the actors playing my parents talking about where Lucy had gone – she had gone back to Montega. Then, Peyton List came on and resurrected my role for three years, and Peyton List is still my friend.”

Cagle then asked Amanda if her time in Oakdale soured her on continuing to be an actress, to which the now Oscar nom replied: “No, it didn’t.  It actually made me double-down at that point. This is what I want to do.  This is where I need to be.  I want that back, let’s get me another job, and I kept on auditioning and I got another job on another soap opera.”

The other role Amanda is referring to is her time as Joni Stafford on All My Children, where she often shared scenes with Michael. B. Jordan, then Reggie.

You can watch the exchange between Cagle and Seyfried sent to us by soap fan G.T. Lem below.

Now, share your thoughts on Amanda’s Oscar nomination and her remarks on her time as a young actress on ATWT in the comment section.

FYI – Actress Amanda Seyfried discusses her time on “As The World Turns” saying it wasn’t a warm environment and the person in charge (who later fired her) was “mean”
