Its what Ive been waiting for! That and Deacon finding out about Maddie. Rayna should win the CMA award, Juliette is still a newcomer. I suspect Avery and Scarlett to reunite and Gunner to explore who and what he wants.

Love Deacon and finally loving Rayna…coming late to the table here because she is best when she is meeting him halfway or closer.

First…I LOVE this show! I’m waiting with baited breath to see if it’s renewed; it’s amazing to me how such a quality show with great characters, storylines, music, romance, hot lookin’ peeps…does not have the ratings to guarantee its success. I mean, the soap community alone should be eating this show up! Aaarg….paleeeez be renewed!

Ahem. I digress…I love Rayna and Deacon..individually and together. I do feel empathy for the woman Deacon was recently dating…she seems great and was really into him…it was obvious he liked her and was happy but as we know his heart belongs to Rayna.

This was the first night I felt empathy for Teddy. They haven’t really given us an insight into his heart until last night and it’s so obvious how much he loves his (Deacon’s biological) daughter. While I love the fact that Rayna and Deacon have a child, and it’ll be interesting when he finds out, I will feel bad for Teddy. H’es been a father to her all these years and he adores her.

I love Scarlett and Gunnar too. She’s such a good person and goes into her relationships purely and unselfishly…and Gunnar’s crush on her was strong from the beginning. Hoping they make it…

Rayna vs. Juliette? Again, I love both characters but if I had to choose I’d be rootin’ for Rayna…

Everyone chant: renew, renew, renew…

WATCH: Jonathan Jackson + Enation’s New Music Video “The Days Are Evil”

Five-time Daytime Emmy winner from General Hospital, and former Nashville star, Jonathan Jackson (Ex-Lucky, Ex-Avery) has released a new music video for the new single “The Days Are Evil” along with his band Enation.

The music video features shots of Jackson in a very dark incarnation, and the track will also appear on Jackson + Enation’s upcoming album due out later this fall, Ultraviolet Empire.

Jonathan says of the new album: “Our new album, Ultraviolet Empire, is a throwback record. It’s a record we played together live in the studio. Most of the songs are one take -just letting the band play.  It was amazing playing with our co-producer Colin Linden and capturing something so raw and visceral.”

This will be the band’s follow-up to their 2017 album  Anthems for the Apocalypse and their successful 2018 tour in Europe opening for Echo & The Bunnymen,

Check out the music video featuring Jonathan released this week below.

Then, let us know, should Lucky return to Port Charles for the Nurses’ Ball with his band and play a tune off the new album next spring? Will Jonathan come home to GH for a guest appearance? Will you be checking out the new music from him in the coming months? Comment below.

RENEWALS: How to Get Away with Murder, Grey’s Anatomy CANCELLATIONS: Life In Pieces, Star

The last 36 hours have seen some of your favorite primetime dramas renewed and others canceled; several of which feature former or current soap stars.  ABC has renewed for its upcoming sixth season How to Get Away with Murder.  During its fifth season, the series ranked as the No. 1 program in Thursday’s 10 PM slot in key demos: Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34.

How To Get Away With Murder stars Viola Davis as Annalise Keating, a law professor at a prestigious Philadelphia university who, with five of her students, becomes entwined in a murder plot.  The ensemble cast includes: Rome Flynn (Ex-Zende of The Bold and the Beautiful) who plays the key role of Gabriel Maddox.

NASHVILLE To Become Broadway Musical

Looks like the Music City drama, Nashville, originally on ABC and then on CMT, has more than nine lives! Now the popular soap is headed to the stage and Broadway after six seasons on the small screen.

The show is set to have a musical adaptation with 10-time Tony Award winner Scott Delman (American IdiotRagtimeBook of MormonHello, Dolly!Fun HomeMean Girls) in charge.  In addition, Delman will serve as lead producer of the show and he has acquired the live theatrical rights from Lionsgate and ABC Studios.

Nashville, with its complex, relatable characters and sweeping emotional gestures, has all of the narrative elements that I look for in great theatrical source material,” Delman said in a statement. “From that rich DNA, we will be building an original story with entirely original music, written by major Nashville and Broadway songwriters.  We are particularly excited to deliver Broadway’s first score of true contemporary country music — a genre that has exploded with mainstream audiences in recent years. Lionsgate has a treasure-trove of sterling IP, and I’m honored to be a part of this new phase of their live entertainment division.”

Additional information on the upcoming musical, including production dates and a creative team, is expected to be announced shortly.  Now the question becomes; will some of its beloved series stars be in the Broadway rendition of the series?
