Did anyone notice that when Robin was talking to Carly on the show, when she called Carly by her real name instead of Carly,Carly busted out laughing.

I liked it, Xai. That was the cutest faux pas. Lol.

I just hope that Y&R will (wisely) SORAS (when the time is right) little Katie and cast Brooklyn in the role.

WOW what a way to reunite Jason and Brooklyn! That would be great!

A well-known soap journalist has already posted an article urging JFP to do this! That would be a coup for Y&R, and a real blow to GH.

I just watched the episode I thought it was well done with the time constraints that they had the flashbacks were a nice touch.

The flashbacks were terrific!

The flashbacks were the best part of it. Also loved the vows to Emma. Otherwise it was so brief and oddly edited with weird jumps to the Laura/Tracy/Nik/Hayden scenes. Robin had hardly any face time with Mac and Robert. Why? Poor Felicia got to say nothing. Why did they make Maxie “forget” the minister and the rings? That’s not like Maxie, the Super Wedding Planner. They could have simply said that she planned, with Mac, for Mac to get ordained online. That would have been a nice touch. Also, feel like Epiphany should gave been a wedding guest. She’s been… Read more »

Loved the flashbacks–wistful–to think we saw none of another legacy couple–throwing some shade at Tony Geary’s “misconduct.”

I guess Robert must have taken the picture. Love the picture…yes, BRAVI and KUDOS but, shouldn’t have Tristan been included in the Scorpio-Drake family picture?

Jason Thompson’s scene partners were primarily Kimberly, Brooklyn, and Finola (not including “non-family” members like Liz or Sam). He barely had any scenes with Tristan Rogers over the years, esp. since Tristan has barely been on the show over the years, sadly for us Robert Scorpio fans.

Well, Jake R. With all due respect, the ‘heading’ specifies, “Jason Thompson posts Scorpio-Drake family photo”. FAMILY photo. Robert Scorpio is, indeed, the Scorpio patriarch . Without him there would not have been Robin Scorpio. It makes no difference how long or how often Tristan has had contact with Jason. We are talking about the characters, not personal friendships. If it was not Jason’s intention to include Tristan, as Robert, then the wording should not have included ‘Scorpio-Drake family’, either. I am strictly talking about that….difference of opinion, I guess. Have a good day.

My sentiments exactly. Why no Robert in the pic.

Despite the title of the photo, the comment seems to reflect the professional relationships of the actors – and Robert just wasn’t in that sphere as often, unfortunately. I don’t think it was meant to slight him; just an actor’s photo of those closest on the set in his storylines & keeping it “all in the family.” Makes sense to me 🙂

Just started recording Y&R since so many of my favorite soap actors have been cast there. I feel like I know the rudimentary back stories on most of the characters since I read the soap mags. Shouldn’t be too hard to catch up hopefully. Enjoying the show so far, though never liked those show runners when they were at GH.

Will truly miss Patrick,Robin, and Emma Drake. They were the ultimate supercouple of GH and were the reason I watched GH since they got together back in 2005. Can’t wait to see JT on Y & R it should be interesting. Hopefully when the timing is right for Robin,Patrick,& Emma to return to GH for a future storyline they could convince Y& R to let JT come back as Patrick even on a recurring basis. That would make the scrubs fans really happy . Wish they could have gotten Rick Springfield to come back for Jason and Kimberly’s final sendoff… Read more »

Thank your lucky stars Scrub Fans that these characters were not on Days, otherwise instead of a happy family reunion that leaves the door open for a return some day, they would have all died in a plane crash on the way to California —- so grateful for a happy ending for a change– it was cheesy and predictable but at least it ended on positive note — for now anyhow.

Well first, it was amazing to see Robert, Anna, Robin, Patrick, Emma, Mac and Felicia in the same room. It has got to be years since all the Scorpios have gathered at the same time. Now we only get to see Anna and maybe a little of Mac and there they go! Sad but happy to see them all together again. It was also nice to see Carly and Robin hug it out! They have a checkered history with lots of finger pointing but like Robin said today, she loves Sonny and Carly is good for Jason and those two… Read more »

What I loved was the genuine emotion we saw from all of the actors in the wedding scenes. You can tell that JT, KMc and BS will all be missed, and how much they will miss GH. These are the moments I live for on a soap and they’re very rare. It was a beautiful wedding and the right way to send off the Scorpio-Drakes. Well done, GH, and all the best to the three actors as they leave GH for greener pastures.

At least Patrick and Robin, with Emma in tow, got married again for the scrub fans, and the emphasis was all on them. But the rest of the wedding party seemed like window dressing except for a couple of wrap-up conversations between Robin, Carly, Liz, and Jason. I realize it was short notice, but no music, laughter, festivity to speak of…Maxie where were you? Robert barely had a line, looked like he was on a lunch break from Y&R, and only one daddy/daughter hug…sorta…and then folded chairs and pulled a luggage piece outside. Felicia warmed a seat…that was all. Nothing… Read more »

The thing I like most about this interview is that young Brooklyn obviously does not have a psycho stage mom like Kris Kardashian! Brooklyn said that she is only allowed to watch Jason’s scenes on Y & R. She also said she doesnt have social media. It is very nice and rewarding to hear of a child being protected and loved rather than profited from and exploited!

I really thought the whole wedding thing was so fast without planning didn’t give it much of a wedding affect. More like a get together. Who ever said Robert was excluded from family photo was totally correct. Robert definitely should have been in that photo. Don’t understand why he was not included. Epaniphy should have been there for Drake Jr. It was nice but so unorganized. Needed much more planning and togetherness. Will miss little Brooklyn such a great little actress. Not much reason to watch anymore. Can’t wait to see how he does as Billy Abbott. Really liked Billy… Read more »

WATCH: The Cast of ‘Studio City’ Talk On the Latest Five Episodes & The Making of the Critically-Acclaimed Digital Drama

It’s one of the most talked about digital dramas out there, with a look and feel all its own, containing smart, witty, and dramatic plots and dialogue, and stellar performances abound.

In Amazon Prime’s Studio City, the story about life on a soap in front of the camera juxtaposed with the often harsh reality of life behind the scenes, will have any fan of the genre getting a kick out of some of the very familiar soap tropes contained within balanced with the five-hankie moments throughout  And now, Studio City has dropped their latest five episodes picking the story back up from where it left off.

Michael Fairman chatted with the cast of Studio City in his latest interview for The Michael Fairman Channel on You Tube. Those taking part in this virtual conversation included: Sean Kanan (Sam), Sarah Joy Brown (Laurie), Tristan Rogers (Doc), Carolyn Hennesy (Gloria), Scott Turner Schofield (Max), Anna Maria Horsford (Jolene), and Justin Torkildesn (Jacob).  Ronn Moss, who also appears in the series playing a version of himself, was filming a movie during the scheduling of this chat, but his presence is felt when some hilarious moments featuring him and Sean Kanan were discussed.

Soap fans know these actors very well.  Kanan, Brown, Hennesy and Rogers have all, or are presently appearing, on General Hospital.  B&B fans recognize Torkilden, Horsford, Moss, and Schofield along with Kanan from their work on the CBS Daytime drama.

Getting a show up and running and then taped during the Covid-19 pandemic is no easy task as Kanan shared in the group interview.  As well, Anna Maria Horsford and Sarah Joy Brown share how they came to their parts and the rapid-fire pace in which their scenes were shot.  Tristan Rogers, who won a Daytime Emmy last year for his performance as Doc, gives another heartbreaking turn, and reveals his thoughts on the work he did, plus shares his remembrances of his late friend and GH co-star, John Reilly.

Scott Turner Schofield talks about how Sean and his wife Michele Kanan, two of the creators of the show, have given him and the transgender community a space with Max’s storyline in Studio City.  GH favorite, Carolyn Hennesy shares how she crafted her role of Gloria, the executive producer, after Jill Farren Phelps, and Daytime Emmy winner Justin Torkildsen shares how he wound up with a part in the digital drama and the scenes he shares with Hennesy.

You can check out the full Studio City cast interview below.  Then let us know, have you checked out the series? What have been your favorite moments and performances in it? Let us know in the comment section.

GH’s Lisa LoCicero Delivers The ‘Power Performance of the Week’

This week on General Hospital the truth came out on all fronts; as Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) put two and two together and realized Ned (Wally Kurth) cheated on her with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn).  Meanwhile, Alexis figured out Tracy (Jane Elliot) framed her to make it look like she passed out drunk behind the wheel.

Throughout, there were great performances from Wally Kurth, Jane Elliot and Nancy Lee Grahn, but it was soap vet, Lisa LoCicero, who for us was given the material and stole the show with her heartbreaking performances as a woman scorned.

LoCicero plays Olivia Falconeri from Bensonhurst, so believably, that viewers understand her every woman, who married into the well-to-do Quatermaines, and who has a much higher moral and ethical standard then the Q’s.

In key scenes at the Quartermaine mansion, Olivia confronts Ned about the night he never came home, and she wants the truth.  She also rightly accuses Tracy on being part of the cover-up.  A caught Ned confesses.  He tells Olivia he was in a terrible place, and jumped to the wrong conclusion about her and Robert (Tristan Rogers), and began drinking, which Sam (Kelly Monaco) overhears and can’t believe he was drinking with an alcoholic. Olivia says that Ned is incapable of being trustworthy after spending his entire life amongst a house full of liars and cheats.  Meanwhile, Alexis shows up in the middle of all this to confront Tracy on her machinations setting the stage for a showdown between Olivia and Alexis.

When Alexis and Olivia talk in private, the former legal eagle apologizes to her friend for sleeping with her husband; saying they both knew it was wrong right after it happened, but Olivia quickly points out that they didn’t seem to stop themselves or think it was wrong, while he was unbuttoning his pants or she was taking off her blouse!

Olivia stands her ground through her devastation and is appalled that Alexis calls her a “friend” and how she is only showing remorse because she has been caught!

Courtesy/ABC

When Ned tries to talk to Olivia and professes how much he loves her and how sorry he is for having sex in a drunken stupor with Alexis, Olivia is gut-punched.  Ned continually says he thought Olivia and Robert hooked-up thanks to Brook Lynn deleting messages meant for Ned.  The fact that he would assume the worst of her, only made things worse for Ned, and then to go as far as having revenge sex with Alexis, made Olivia feel her husband had sunk to new lows.

It is then Olivia has a moment of reckoning; wondering what is her role in the Quartermaine family anyway, and how she doesn’t really fit in.  Ned promises to wait for her and begs her not to give up on them.  When he leaves, Liv breaks down … her marriage in pieces and betrayed by all those she thought she could trust.

Each of the aforementioned moments were played to perfection by LoCicero, leaving the audience wondering just what will Olivia do next and how will she bounce back from this betrayal.  That is why Michael Fairman TV names Lisa our pick for The Power Performance of the Week.  And, if it’s one thing we know about Olivia, she is a scrappy fighter, a survivor, and in the capable hands of this actress, we will be rooting for her all along the way.

So, what did you think of the performance of Lisa LoCicero?  Do you hope Olivia and Ned work things out and they stay together, or do you want to see if she and Robert Scorpio might have a new romance? Comment below.

Lexi Ainsworth Teases Her Return to General Hospital

With her father Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) presumed dead (although viewers know he is very much alive with amnesia), it looks like Kristina is on her way back to Port Charles – which would be a welcome return to the role for Daytime Emmy winner Lexi Ainsworth.

Rumors began circulating on Inauguration day Wednesday, when Ainsworth shared a pic on her Instagram Story of her watching the ceremonies from a dressing room at Prospect Studios in Los Angeles, where GH is taped.

Later, after reports had surfaced on social media that Ainsworth might be returning to her signature role, the actress shared some of those on her Instagram Story as well, which was seen as her way of confirming she is back on the show.

Lexi has been recurring on General Hospital for the last several years, so there is no telling how long she will be on-screen this time.

While there has been no official confirmation from GH, chances are that if there is a funeral ahead for Sonny, Kristina of course would be there to mourn her father. Stay tuned.

So, excited that Lexi will be back on-air on GH? Comment below.
