One Life to Live Fan Rally Video! – The Stars Came Out To Greet The Faithfuls!

As many know yesterday was the first day of production for Prospect Park’s and The Online Network’s rebooted version of One Life to Live.  To celebrate fans from Soap Fans United traveled to One Life’s new Connecticut studios to welcome the cast back and to show their love and support!

Erika Slezak (Viki), Melissa Archer (Natalie), Cordin Bleu (Jeffrey), Kelley Missal (Dani), Kassie DePaiva (Blair), Robert Gorrie (Matthew) and Laura Harrier (Destiny) gave the fans who braved the cold weather some donuts and coffee with some lovin’ care! OLTL head writers, Susie Bedsow Horgan and Thom Racina also said “Hello” to the fans in attendance.

Carrying balloons, roses and banners/signs, to welcome their favorite cast members back that they have wished to see once again so much, but they also met some of the newbies to Llanview too!  The fans were thrilled and some (as we would all be) emotional chatted and took pictures with the actors during their short break from shooting.

Check out this video from the rally after the jump!  Then, let us know what you thought about the show of support from both sides – the fans and the stars!

We were not even allowed to go to the front door of the building – so tours were out! Trust me, we all would’ve gone! 🙂

Most likely no set tour for now because they dont want fans to know too much at the moment but it could happen later for some of you. I envy how lucky you got to be this close but i did once got to meet in person the lovely Jill Larson from AMC and Micheal Bruno( i think thats his name) who once appeared on the same show. Had they given me a cup of hot cocoa id had them autographed the cup, thats if i had known and brought a marker to write with, or at least saved it.… Read more »

He’s onlyvthere for four weeks then returns to GH. This video is enough to bring tears to my eyes. After spending three decades with these characters, they feel like family and I’ve missed them so much. I just wish we had word on Michael Easton’s fate as well as Kristen Alderson. I have so much respect for these actors and want the best for them.

The whole video was so nice. Thanks to the fans that were able to be out there to express what so many of us feel to the actors of OLTL. And Thank You to the actors who brought out coffee and doughnuts (?) and posed for pictures. It was very sweet of them to take the time to do that.

Now, tell me, what night time show has that kind of interaction between actors and fans? None, I bet. Daytime fans are phenominal!

During all the effort put in by our group (Soap Fans United) and my multiple trips to Stamford to secure permits, etc. (all the Stamford officials were amazingly helpful and congenial) I would never have dared dreamed that we would be received and honored by the cast, writers and production team as we were on 3/18! And the privilege of meeting Erika Slezak…simply beyond belief!

They should try to get Ellen Holly, if she would do it, make guest appearances as Destinys mother/grandmother on OLTL. I Know she played Carla but that was long ago, and it wouldnt be no different than Francescs James returning to AMC as a different character. It would be like a nod to the shows original beginnings.

Does anyone know where I could download the mp3 of Kelley Missal (Dani) “Everything I ever learned”

This is why we love OLTL. The fans just have to be supportive and make ABC see the big mistake they made in taking this show off the air. I really believe this is going to be a hit. Will be watching everyday that it is on. If Michael Easton doesn’t return perhaps John McBain can be re-cast. Just a thought.

B&B’s Annika Noelle Shares Her Heartache on Pregnancy Loss

In a very well-written and touching essay written by The Bold and the Beautiful’s Annika Noelle (Hope), herself, the actress shares with the readers details of two miscarriages that she had not publicly revealed until this time.

In her story for Glamour entitled, “Losing a Child in the Limelight”, Noelle shares the heartache and pain of losing a child while filming the demands of a soap opera, and especially Hope’s storyline which for months featured so much emotion and so many tears after the baby loss storyline on-air she was the vehicle in which to tell the tale.

However in real life, Noelle was going through something as well.  Annika reveals how she and her fiancé found out she was pregnant, and then 10 weeks later she lost the baby.  When they tried again, she lost the baby at 8 weeks.

In an excerpt, Annika expressed about keeping her pain private while working on the soap: “Fans and news articles speculated whether I was pregnant or just gained weight during quarantine. And once again the storyline called for ceaseless tears when I felt like I had no more to give. I guess looking back at it now, I was scared to jinx anything. I didn’t want people to know and have things not work out. And yet I wish I had because I would have given anything to have the understanding and support of the cast and crew. I felt so alone. The secret was isolating, yet the shame was debilitating. I felt like I had failed at something that should be easy. But as time marched on, I was surprised by a new feeling bubbling underneath the sorrow: an ancestral rage toward the burden of womanhood. And as I slowly began to open up about my loss to a select few, I was shocked by how many people had experienced it as well.”

In the end, Annika shares: “Anyone who follows me on social media can tell you I’m a deeply private person. But if there is one thing I’ve gained from my loss, it is a voice I’m no longer afraid to use.”

Make sure to read Annika’s moving article in full, then let us know in the comment section what you thought of it.
