Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun Written Out of The Young and the Restless

It looks like the current run of Lucas Adams (Noah) and Tamara Braun (Sienna) on The Young and the Restless is coming to an end, after the Monday, August 3 edition of the CBS daytime drama revealed that Noah and Sienna are leaving Genoa City and heading back to Los Angeles.
In the storyline, Noah informed his mother, Sharon (Sharon Case) and half-sister Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that he and Sienna made the decision to move back to the West Coast to put distance between themselves and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Although Noah did not say it was a permanent move, he did assure his mom that once Matt is hopefully gone from Genoa City they could return.
However, as previewed already on the video teaser for this week’s episodes of Y&R (see below), it appears Noah left Genoa City’s The Shadow Room to be run by a returning Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). So with that, coupled with today’s episode, it would appear the move could wind up being more permanent.

COMINGS AND GOINGS
Adams made his Y&R debut on November 4, 2025 as the successor to Rory Gibson who last played Noah on-screen in April of 2023. Earlier in 2025, Gibson took over the role of Michael Corinthos on Genera Hospital replacing Chad Duell, who stepped away from the part after 15 years.
Braun who played Adam’s mother on Days of Our Lives when she was Ava Vitali and he was Tripp Dalton, first appeared on Y&R back on October 14, 2025, where we soon learned she had become Noah’s lover as the new character, Sienna Bacall. It should be noted, Adams was on contract with the number #1 soap, while Braun has been on recurring status.
With Josh Griffith now exited as head writer of The Young and the Restless, and the newly announced co-head writing team of Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor having taken his place and starting their new tenure this week, it will be interesting to see how the duo resets the show, and if a Noah and Sienna return is in the cards for the future or not.
So, what do you think about the seeming departures of Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun from The Young and the Restless? Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out our recent live chat with Tamara and Lucas on the Michael Fairman Channel.

Rosie O’Donnell Says She Will Return to ‘The View’ During its Season 30

Rosie O’Donnell revealed that she plans to head back to a seat at the table of ABC’s morning talk show The View.
The announcement came during Monday’s episode of The Tangle Podcast where she shared she will participate in “in whatever way they want” her or “just as a guest” for its upcoming 30th season.
The View’s season 30 will kick-off this fall in September. O’Donnell explained, “They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think. And, you know, I’m pretty proud of that show, what it’s become and how it really speaks to the people and to politics.”

ROSIE ON HER PREVIOUS GO-ROUNDS ON THE VIEW
As fans of The View know, O’Donnell famously had two different one-year stints on the talk show in 2007 and again in 2014- 2015. She often feuded with then co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck.
However, during her discussion with host, Kyle Ridley on The Tangle Podcast, O’Donnell also noted she often had tense moments with longtime moderator and anchor, Whoopi Goldberg.
O’Donnell also expressed, “Many, many people got the short end of the stick there. It was, you know, it was a factory where people were being churned in and out and their tenuous security, nobody got to be calm. It also was a show at the time that was run by a man. A show created by a woman, for women, about women, and the man was deciding what we should talk about. And that didn’t sit right with me, you know.”
Back in 2023, Brooke Shields had asked Rosie on her podcast, Now What? with Brooke Shields, about how she felt on her two stints at The View and all the controversy that surrounded it. Rosie at that time, stated, “I know this, it’s not the best use of my talent to get in a show where I have to argue and defend basic principles of humanity and kindness. It was not something I’d ever do again.”
You can check out the clip with Rosie and Kyle Ridley discussing her return to The View in some form for its upcoming 30th season below.
Then weigh-in: Would you be excited to see Rosie, even for a one-day or a week guest stint on the upcoming celebratory season of The View, or not so much? Let us know via the comment section.

SHOCKED. I hate watching at my computer, but how can you not watch again, especially with that ending?
You can purchase a cord that will go from your laptop/computer to your television for about 12 bucks; and then watch there!
It’s called an HDMI cord. I used it to watch AMC and OLTL today and it’s just as good if not better than watching them on an network channel.
@debrika –
they’re right…. that HDMI chord attachment is what i have as well.
How does it work if your computer and tv are in two seperate rooms?
you can also get a blue ray player, get hulu plus, , and for the rest of your life have your soaps, and thousands of other programs on your tv..!! It is great…And …you never have to have your program, pre empted by BREAKING NEWS!! LOL! You can watch it all of the time anytime anyday…………it is great!
LOVED them both!
I loved it.
I loved it!
Hey Michel, just watched. Was good to see the regulars – were alot of newbys, tho. Thought it was okay. The sets and makeup, etc., were definitely up to par. Honestly, I wasn’t all that thrilled – until !!!!! OMG. Won’t spoil it, but OMG, the last scene. Yeah, I’ll watch again!
LOVED it! So glad we wont have to wait for that story line to be resolved. Where’s Roxy, loved to see Niles!
I thought the same thing, a lot of really young storylines it seems but it did deliver on what I wanted most. It seems I want to talk to everybody about it but don’t want to spoil it. Welcome back OLTL.
Though the Roxy may not be back, it was nice that they mentioned her. Maybe down the line??? That would be cool.
Its was great, I’m so glad have OLTL back
So sad I’m missing out! A lot of people I know who watched since the beginning can’t watch since they don’t have the internet at home either. It’s not fair since Canadians can watch on T.V. & we can’t. What a let down. I campaigned to get it back & I can’t even enjoy it.
Then get the internet. It’s a pretty basic thing to have now a days. You can find some fairly cheep packages if you do your research. You can also use the internet for free at a local library. I hope you can tune in soon.
IIT
Great to see the Llanview residents again! A great episode – with a decided edge to it. I counted “$hit” used 3 times – and I think those uses were parts of everyday conversation and seemed to fit the scene. (I certainly say it enough myself.) Not sure on what appeared to be oral sex going on in the back of the club – but it is 2013 and this is a online version, so… I think it was smart to show us a little bit of everyone during the episode to get us reacquainted. And it was ABOSOLUTELY AWESOME to see Trevor St John again. Can’t wait to see this first week unfold. Very happy to see OLTL again. Thank you to all who made this possible!
Thanks for spoiling it for all the people that haven’t seen it yet.
Barbara… If you don’t want spoilers then why in the world would you read comments?! lol Stay away from comments and social networks until AFTER you watch the shows. That’s just internet 101. 😉
The title of the post is what was your reaction. So it assumes you have watched it.
I was turned off by a lot of it, but I understood they are trying to attract a younger audience, so I’ll adjust. 🙂
However, that ending reveal of TSJ makes it all worthwhile! I cannot wait to see more of him, hopefully helping Tea straighten out Danni. 🙂 Not hard to see why Danni feels so alone though.
Just so you know I had already watched it. I was thinking of other people who might have wanted to know if it was worth the time to watch.
seeing Trevor St. John – was a big surprise….. that was NICE.
I hope he’s a regular and on contract.
oltl has always been my all time favorite soap – to see it come back to live with such awesomeness just made my day! i could not sleep last night waiting for this episode to come to life!
Excellent! The suprise at the end was well worth the wait! So glad to have both shows back!!
LOVED IT… the sets were done with expert care to make sure you knew you were in Llanview. All the cast looked great..did splendid job of getting us caught up. Glad to see that VICTOR was added on the very first episode because looks like Tea could really use him. I am surprised that Todd showed up so soon but then he did get a call from Danielle. SHE is a mess. I did not find the use of strong language over the top, at least yet. The nightclub looked nice but I sure hope they don’t completely FOCUS that for the whole show. Annoying not to hear dialogue over music. Liked the theme, a little too long for me personally I am used to short ones. LOVED seeing all the “OLTL Family” back together again. LOVE that I can watch it FREE and over and over again also.
again you just spoiled it for all the people that didn’t see it.
Then why you are on here then?? Don’t come on til you have watched it!!!
Come Onnnn BARRRRAARRAAA… you know you should not be on here if you did not want to read or see any spoilers… YOU are in the wrong!!
I am not in the wrong or as rude as you two. I had already watched it, but I realize that there are a lot of people that had not and was thinking of them. There are lots of ways to say you loved the show without giving away the ending. But I guess you guys couldn’t think of that just in case some one mistakenly decided to read the comments.
Barbara – please stop reading then. You’re spoiling the fun. That’s why we’re here – to discuss the first episode now that is back.
Caroldee I completely agree and will definietly be watching! Love it! Yay Trevor the real Todd is Back baby!!!!
the real todd? or the 2nd todd? I always figured he looked like walker laurence for a reason… mitch and irene manning had to be working together!
Yes Christy he looked like Walker Lawrence because he paid Walker for his likeness and Family history so he could get close to Mitch and Kill him without Mitch suspecting anything. Revenge for Mitch trying to Kill Todd! Irene had nothing to do with it that was all RC trying to rewrite the history of Todd to satisfy them idiots at ABC and that Corney 2 Todd Story line. TSJ is the One and Only REAL Todd Manning!!
Got up and watched both shows on my internet Tv this morning before work. Soooo good, especially OLTL. Very first episode ended with an awesome cliff hanger. Love it!!!
loved it. we no somebody was shot and five years ago. and in a comba for 5 years. my shows are back. we need our shows .
Now I think it is Marrisa that was killed and possibly by Davids hand instead of Jr’s?
My money is on JR having killed Marissa and David taking revenge by putting JR in a coma and possibly killing Tad by mistake.
Sophie,
That is good, I thought maybe it was David that accidentally killed Marrisa when he was struggling with JR for the Gun? But they did say that JR was in a coma. I don’t think they killed Tad off I can’t wait to see how they explain him being gone…. Can’t wait to find out!!
Or maybe JR shot and killed Marissa then David and JR were struggling for the gun and David shot Tad?? IDK but am hyped to find out!! Can’t wait to see Zack and Jesse tomorrow!!
I have a mixed reaction. I was so looking forward to seeing OLTL again!!! I am so happy it has been revived/rebooted!!!
It was great to see actors/actresses again! I just didn’t like how I saw some of them again. I am not going to stop watching at all. I just was not over joyed like hoped I would be.
I would rather not have seen almost all scenes at Shelter and hope that it will not become a character of it’s own like the Horton Town Square is for DOOL. I also would rather not see the use of the reality show with David and Dorian. I was very happy to see TSJ in the ending… however… I am assuming… possibly incorrectly… that he will be the implement used to take Todd and Victor off the canvas for a period of time or forever… I hope I am very wrong. I was so sad to see Robert/Bo back on my screen for the first time yelling at Matthew about drugs! Absolutely love Florencia/Tea and was so very sad to see her acting so crazy in the first few moments of seeing her. The drug story line is unfortunate. I still miss some of my characters if they are not truly them.
I loved that Viki, Clint, Dorian, David, Natalie and Nigel appear to be the characters I knew and loved. Blair is close… but seems like a decoration on a set at the moment. It appeared darker and would have liked it to have seemed lighter and more hopeful of great story. I got that sense from the premier of AMC.
I know it is only the first episode… but as the first… I expected it differently. Will hope that it gets better and better!!! I like the new Jeffrey character and look forward to seeing more of him… especially with Viki!
I also felt there were some small gratuitous scenes that did nothing for the story but seemed there… just because they could.
I stopped watching AMC along time ago and watched and felt that it was a much better first episode than OLTL and that disappointed me about my second favorite soap OLTL. Will remain hopeful…
I st
I agree about Shelter. Night clubs .. dimly lit by nature, watching people drink dance, etc. is not very entertaining to me. I don’t mind having it once in a while.. but not as a mainstay. From the tons of makeup I’d seen on “Dani” on many clips and ads I was not surprised at what I saw, but not happy either. However, as long as it’s not a long time thing, I can live with it. I did not like her in any of the promos . Even the one where she said, “bring it” she was hard and I hope this will change. I read last night that Tea has been totally neglecting her since the last time we saw her, since the baby died- and that’s the reason for the drugs. That is understandable and we saw it today. But I was surprised to see this depressed Tea a tthe club. This explains Todd’s leaving Port Charles, but not why he would leave them before May 10. How they will explain that when Todd does try to be a good dad???? I’m sure we’ll see a lot more of Blair. Loved that Nigel is with Vicki. I did not like Bo screaming like that either. Have never seen that before. Give it a chance. These are new writters and no show is great all the time. I love the sets. I think there will be more gratutious scenes than is my cup of tea as well and AMC handled that much better. there may have been more sexy scenes on AMC but they were more in character and seemed less sleezy for some reason than just watching Melissa take off her clothes. I don’t know why. But I’m so glad to have them back and will certainly not judge by just today. I’m sure it will be fine. Some bad things have happened like Tea’s baby dying which have had a lot of repercussions. I am not going to repeat about the end, many people might not have seen , but I was so happy at the end.
Thanks Lin!
I did like the show and I forgot to thank everyone involved for bringing OLTL back to us! I just had my hopes built a bit too high… and it is only the first episode… hopefully it will get better and better!!!
Thanks Michael for giving us such great content and for getting the excitement going!!!! You are the best and you are the best fan too!!!
Lin they had the same thing at Ultra Violet no difference. Both shows were awesome!!!
I had the biggest smile on my face in the first scene with Viki & Clint at Llanfair but after that . . . TOO much time at the club-too dark & the awful music was overwhelming & unnecessary. Not a good way to introduce us to characters we loved who are now being played by others. I couldn’t tell who was who & what was going on. I wish Liam wasn’t so old. Good to see Clint, Bo & Nora together but weird-Bo & Matthew. Bo does not behave that way. I don’t know, I guess I was expecting for the show to pick right back up where it left off. Very glad to have it back but kind of disappointed. I think there are enough true OLTL fans who loved the show as it was-they do not need to re-invent (ruin) this show to attract younger viewers!
Gloria how can you say Characters We love and then say you had no idea who was who?? What is Liam supposed to be a baby still he was almost a year old when the show ended he would be almost 3 now.
Bo watched his son be paralyzed due to Drugs ((Cole being on them)) same thing Script Meds, so yea Bo’s reaction was dead on!
Just watched it again and still have the same issues… but love that TSJ is back for however long we are lucky enough to have him!!! I do like that we saw him in the firts episode. Can’t wait to see what the tatoo/symbol means! Thanks again PP and everyone at OLTL!!!
Since this is the premiere, and perhaps at this hour some of the fans might not have seen it yet, I won’t give anything away…but I will say that it was wonderful! It was like walking through the door to home sweet home. One Life To Live is back and better than ever!!!!!!!!!!!
One life to live at its finest! So excited to have them back!!! Great ending to an episode! Can’t wait til tomorrow, here’s to another 40+ years!
Here! Here!
Ditto
I watched this morning and thought the OLTL credits were awful. I also thought that Tuc Watkins stole the show and that the Tea/Blair scenes were perfect. The character reveal at the end was such a welcome sight! On a whole, though, I was underwhelmed. I think it is because the Llanview feeling just wasn’t there and the show seemed forced at times. Melissa Archer is hot but it didn’t seem necessary to have her in her underwear twice in the same episode. How about some Natalie character development instead? Is Natalie just a prop for Cutter in this version? I think the reason OLTL went out in top was that it had a cast and a writing team that understood the show’s history and respected it. I didn’t get that same vibe from the first episode (Ironically, I got just that while watchinv AMC). I’ll tune in tomorrow and hope it gets better. I want both OLTL and AMC to succeed. I just can’t help feeling that while PP sues ABC for destroying characters, they are guilty if it themselves.
The actors said to give it time (actors of both shows) but I agree AMC was better today. Not every day of OLTL or AMC was fabulous in the past (or of any show) so don’t give up on One Life. I found much of it interesting. My problem is that the bar is a big part of the show, and I’ve never liked watching those kind of scenes. It’s by nature poorly lit, and watching people dance and drink is not that interesting. That said the sets are gorgeous, and I really liked a quite a bit. And the end—- made me happy. I agree about the opening. It will not hold up over time and I think they will change it. The song is okay. To me it kind of talks about the new beginning for OLTL. The Cosby show changed their opening very often, sometimes alternated within a season. If they do that on OL it will be fine.
Oh for peet’s sake it takes time to develop the show. You can’t have everything on the first show. Give it time.
It isn’t a brand new show. Neither is AMC. I agree that one show captured the feel of the beloved brand (AMC) and one show didn’t(OLTL) . We are all entitled to our opinions however “Give it time” just doesn’t fly when AMC is in the same boat and successfully brought Pine Valley to life in episode one. Sadly, OL went out at the top of its game. So many fans bash the Frank/Ron team Yet they delievered an incredible show to the very end. It is a tough act to follow.Expectations are higher for OL, I think, and OL will need to step up its game to keep viewers IMO.
Thank you Barbara! Could not have said it better myself! Nothing wrong with Natalie being shown in her under ware for a Split Second both times! OMG Can you hear us way back there in the 50’s??
agree barbara…. OLTL for soap content… was so much better… than AMC…
and AMC is the one that needs for the stories to take off…..
Todd and Blair look so good together.
David LOL… his entrance was hilarious….
I hope they don’t delve too much in to the reality show tho…. Dorian doesn’t need all that bickering…
I’m not a prude, I’m just realistic. I’m a mom who doesn’t strip in her underwear and lay on the sofa with a skimpy blanket when my child is in the next room. Give me a break. 50s? Just further proof people which think they know it all, really don’t.
So what if Liam was in the other room? She did not STRIP she took her clothes off and curled up on the couch in her under ware and a blanket missing John! There is nothing wrong with that! I never said you were from the 50’s I said YOUR THINKING is back in the 50’s and clearly it is!!!
Agree with every word Suzy. OLTL was at its best at the end & they should pick up from there. Do not change it!
I totally agree with you Callie. A decent mom wouldnt walk around like that with children in the house!
These posts with “so what if Liam walks out” are ridiculous. My son may be in the other room sleeping one moment and walking out wide awake the next. Some people on here are so blinded, they just won’t hear anything other than their own voices. Callie’s thinking isn’t “in the 50s” – she is thinking like a mom who wants to set a good example for her kids.
Really Kate? Her thinking is in the 50’s. I AM A MOM and I have laid down on my couch wrapped up in a blanket in my under garments and my son was sleeping, and if he woke up it is called TAKE THE BLANKET WITH YOU! Some ppl are so in the 50’s with their thinking that they take something completely innocent and make it out to be that Natalie is some terrible mother for wrapping up in a blanket while her son slept and missing her sons DAD!!!
i thought she could of at least taken off her “pumps”…. her stilletos?
:::yawn:::
Who cares if Nat was in her underwear? I mean really – this is upsetting to some of you?
If she had on a two piece bathing suit and took her child swimming – would that make her a indecent mother?
I loved the show – first of thousands! Times change. Media changes. Thankfully AMC /OLTL are back! Be happy!
Great post Marsha!!
It was wow. Won’t disappoint those that haven’t gotten to watch yet. Good to see Todd and Blair still have the spark. Dorian and Vicki’s feud is starting already. Natalie is unhappy with John but looks like a little spice in her life. AND…the surprise characters are outstanding. Wow! Loved it. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s episode. Wish it was longer. Had no problems watching on Hulu. Thanks Prospect Park and all the wonderful characters of One Life to Live.
That would be with”out” John. But I’m sure she will get over him.
If you have hula plus u can see it on your media streaming device or how ever U watch hula plus.
Actually it’s only about 10 min shorter than it was on tv with all the commercials.
Yes, I know. I have a Roku but just set it up this morning. Went back and watch OLTL again. So happy it is back on again. Sure have missed it.
I thought both shows were very good. I expected to like OLTL better today than AMC, but the opposite was true. Not that OLTL had anything wrong with it, just liked the AMC better today. Loved, loved, loved the opening sequence with the photos . There were cute remarks like Petey talking about watching TV online. Glad my new apple laptop has such good resolution (even though I don’t have the retina one) as I worried. Through smaller, the resolution I think is better than my TV. Loved the very end of OLTL. What a shocker! 🙂
Both shows were fabulous! Well worth the wait and efforts we all made to make this a reality. Thank you TOLN/Prospect Park. Thank you, Michael, for keeping us informed.
PS – Loved that TOLN gave credit to the fans at the closing episode. Classy, very classy.
Yea I loved that too!!!
I loved OLTL–THe flow and it’s compelling, w/some comic relief, not too over the top campy. I was glued to my computer screen, didn’t walk away even during the commericals:) I also saw AMC and I like their opening better. Loved that they used the AMC book. I liked OL more b/c I watched it more towards the end and more familiar w/the characters. Overall like the direction PP is taking the soaps. So cool and unreal to see the OLTL characters again, wanted to cry but was too happy:)
I loved it Both shows were great I can hardly wait to watch tomorrow. good job prospect park for giving us our beloved shows back.
I loved the show and am glad to have it back but as someone else pointed out, the oral sex scene in the club really did not need to be there. I don’t mind the show pushing boundaries a bit more but that particular type of scene made me a bit uncomfortable. Not like I won’t watch the show because of it but I hope they don’t push boundaries too far just because they can.
Either way, today has been a huge success in the relaunch of our soaps! Cannot wait for tomorrow. Thank you Prospect Park!!
yeah, I didn’t care for that either. I know it was played for laughs, but if that type of thing is going to be on every episode, I may quit watching.
All they showed was a girl bringing her head up for all we know she dropped her keys! Now if they showed her head going up and down then you would have legit beef but that was nothing!
I couldn’t even tell that was going on, it was so dark in there! Yuck. We don’t need this.
Jloliefan, I think we all know what the producers were trying to insinuate and there have been many comments now from others stating that was going a little too far. I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining too much because I am grateful that the show is back, but there are limits.
Just because there are less restrictions on the internet doesn’t mean the envelope needs to be pushed that far. It will make some viewers tune out and I don’t want that!
To many have been bitching about the stupidest crap, OMG dani said Shit, they insinuated but did not SHOW oral sex in a Club which happens all the time NOWADAYS! Sorry but if you think a girl’s head coming up from some guys lap is pushing the envelope to far then I don’t know what to tell ya because to me there was nothing wrong with what they showed and can not wait to see more and I sure as hell won’t be on here crying about every little thing!!
I agree with you…that kind of sex scene doesnt belong there…just to put it in just because you can is pure ignorance…its borderline pornographic. Im no prude and dont mind pushing the envelope a little but that is taking it too far and could cost some viewers. I know its 2013 and not 1953 but some of us dont want our soaps trashed up…its not what we tune in for!
If you think that was borderline Pornographic then you have NEVER seen porno! They showed what goes on at these clubs nowadays, Just like Dani being all effed up on Script meds that happens all to often nowadays epically at clubs and RAVE parties but you probably don’t know about them either!
The show was great! The opening credits need work.
I agree. I was really disappointed in the opening credits. Did not like the song at all. AMC’s opening was better than One Life’s.
I loved it!!! Can’t wait until tomorrow.
The first, eposide was ok not all of that. I want the old Destiny and Matthew back… I LOVE THE OLD CAST BETTER. Don’t think I will watch because the new Destiny, have no personality like the old Destiny.
Your not going to watch because Shenell and Eddie decided to not come back? WOW kinda petty!
Call it what u want but thats my opinion not your
Agree. I would rather have no Destiny if we can’t have the original. She, to me is irreplacable because she was such a unique character. This kid today . . . sorry-not our Destiny. I won’t not watch because of it-I just don’t like it.
For crips sake, unbelievable ..
If you will not be watching then please do not complain about it, it will be out of your life 🙂
Watched it………Loved it……..Want some more of it!! Never watched AMC the past 15 yrs or so but I did today and it was good also. Loved Natalie & Liam, glad she’s not with Cutter, miss John McBain. Hope you’ll recast him soon. Waiting for episode #2.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw it!!!!!!!!!! Thank U so much Natie is still a tramp!!!!!! Danny need’sto take care of her self Matthew What!!!!!!! Destiney Say who!!!! Dorie and David Wow!!!! Blair my girl and the spoiler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There back!!!!
LOVED seeing my favorites!!! Kinda wasn’t feeling Natalie and she was one of my favs so hope to see her getting better in time and REALLY want to see her with John McBain again. A few newby’s not feeling yet either but definitely will be watching simply because of the ending and the other familiar faces of Landview 🙂
Yeah, I’m disappointed that Michael Eastman isn’t going to be on, Jolie was my favorite couple .. maybe he’ll visit sometime? If he doesn’t pop in at least to see his kid, that just ruins the character of John even more.
Hoping they recast John McBain since Michael Easton is on GH and recast soon. Need Jolie together!!!
I think everyone is just so happy to see these shows/characters back that they are willing to forgive a lot. I’m going to reserve my opinion for a couple of weeks to give it time to gel and to see what the vets/newbies story ratio will be. Will be curious to see if people stay tuned in. I heard that they have to have at least 500,000 views per day for PP to break even and continue. Let’s hope they do get better and that they can get those #s and people stick with it.
I loved every second of the show. Everyone looks wonderful. I am so glad to see all my beloved friends again. Some people were worried about this show being a cheap imitation of what were had known on TV. There was nothing cheap about what I saw. The sets, the wardrobe, the use of extras are all top notch. I immediately felt drawn to the stories that are being told. It’s like the momentum of following the lives of these people never stopped. You’re already into the Viki and Dorian feud. You’re worried about Tea. You’re very worried about Dani. Natalie’s life is still at loose ends. What devilment is Todd into now? What is that circular image about? And of the course, the shocking final image in the club!!!!!!!!!! I’m on the edge of my seat already. I can’t wait until tomorrow.
Congratulations to everyone on the show.
It is a little confusing, many many younger characters, Not the same OLTL,. or All My Children, both have new and younger characters may be easy to follow for someone who never watch the older soaps.. I personally will have to watch for a while to enjoy the new script and characters.
I enjoyed both shows, was really looking forward to OLTL but thought AMC was better on this day. I agree with others that I hope that the nightclub scenes will be limited. That was the weakest part to me, But it’s just the beginning and I’m looking forward to both shows evolving. I liked AMC opening credits MUCH better.
Hallelujah! David Vickers is back!!
Anyday I see Roger Howarth on my screen is a very good day! And seeing Vicki, Dorian, David, Blair, Tea, etc. was so very nice. I have missed the show. It does have a different feel and pacing, so it is going to take some getting used to but overall I just feel so happy OLTL is back on!
I to thought there was to much night club but it was great to see all our friends back again!
I watched it twice, back to back. I thought they did an outstanding job. This episode was all about bringing the audience up to speed and setting up the future storylines and introducing either new characters or new actors.
I am glad they took the position of Matthew being a distant father. Remember, he wasn’t thrilled with the prospect before so this keeps that perspective and gives them a chance to either change his feelings or not. I know overall people want “happy endings” but in reality, not all young men or women are great, accepting parents.
I think showing Dani as troubled and the void in her life because of Tea’s sadness is realistic. Plus, it gives story to build upon.
David…well, fantastic as always. I felt bad for him when people were jeering him. He is just so out of touch and has that gigantic ego.
LOVED that they mentioned Roxy. Gives me hope that the character – played by only Ilene Kristin – will be back. She was in my top 5 characters in the past.
Resurrecting the feud between Viki & Dorian – hooray. They always were the show’s power couple…haha.
I liked the beginning song and how they showed the characters dancing, switching partners. It also tied into the various relationships – as they were or may be.
Admit I got a little verklemp at the end as the gave credit to the fans. I am assuming that future shows will give actor/character info as well as the crew.
I think my favorite line…it made me laugh out loud – was when Dorian said “I need a blankie”. hahaha.
Good job, PP & all involved.
i like what you said about… Tea and Danni….
the fallout and potential for big story and huge payoff…. should be good.
I got so involved with Tea, when she was on GH. i thought it a little odd at first… that she went to the shelter…. perhaps she’s compartmentalizing… and only is sad at home… and is not paying any attention to Danni….
David was so funny in that “dream” sequence… he’s so funny and comedic it ups all the time. thats a natural talent.
TSJ was a huge surprise…. i hope he’s on for a long time. especially to fill in the void of RH going back to GH.
yeah, that was a hoot when Dorian grabbed her “chinchilla”.
I agree with all of the above except the opening (gotta see if it grows on my). I liked the energy of the re-launch of the club/the series. Watching Dorian & Vicky scenes felt like coming home again! Great return episode, OLTL & PP!
I watched it this morning before I went to work. I absolutely loved it, especially the ending. I won’t reveal it as I’m sure many fans haven’t seen it yet. My only complaint is the opening credits. It was something new and different, but honestly felt that All My Children was better. I enjoyed the episode and looking forward to seeing how the storylines unfold. Can’t wait til tomorrow.
I loved the shows so much. I can’t wait til tomorrow to see the next episode….thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing them back. I am sure any kinks will eventually be worked out, but to me it was just so wonderful to be able to sit and watch my “two familes” again. 🙂
awesome! loved both shows, especially the ending on OLTL. will definitely be watching first thing every morning!
Ditto all the above comments………thought the Jeffrey character was very natural……didn’t care for the Shelter scene as it didn’t really involve character driven story telling …..
Yes it did. Dani and her pill popping addiction. Rama and Cutter etc!
Had to find you here jolie…when i was 21 i attended a few clubs and one rave parties. The rave party was the only one i attended :they showed a disgusting 10 minute porn clip…and someone died from a drug overdose there( my cousin Carol Walker! ) and the clubs i attended were big city clubs! People danced, drank and were a lot like Shelter but if they went too far they got thrown out! You might like an oral sex scene in a soap(which was hinted at not too long ago ironically on OLTL while on ABC and involved Dorian!) but i feel that is tacky and so do plenty of people! Everytime someone doesnt like something about OLTL you get too defensive and sarcastic but its ok for you to critictize GH, and you wouldnt like it if i responded to you the same way. Im trying to support the genre we almost lost including OLTL and GH and i wouldnt like to see either one cancelled just because i dont like something about it. OLTL doesnt have to go that far to entertain us! When it was on the network no one said we needed additional curse words or explicit sex and those wouldnt be there if it remained on ABC and we’d just be happy it was there so it shouldnt have to be that way online! Im young…i turn 30 soon…im no prude…a few curse words and love scenes wont kill me…im just saying it doesnt have to be that explicit. In one scene i didnt hear Tea use the fbomb like i read where Blair offered her water and the scene was terrific without it and felt real. My biggest gripe was when they see the real Victor(TSJ) at the hospital and only Tea seems suprised to see him alive while the others didnt!
It was wonderful! Loved the pacing, loved seeing Natalie&Liam again, and Vicki&Clint, Nora&Bo, Dorian&David Vickers .. David Vickers in John Travolta’s white disco suit! Bwahahaaa! Todd&Blair! And the kicker at the end .. wow, I can’t wait to watch tomorrow!
I felt like I was back on the comfy couch seeing old faces and places. The pacing was perfect. With summer coming..there’s plenty for teens over 16. Senator Dorian. Lord in a Political scandal is deliciously driven by “The Banner” via soon to be married to Clint., Viki Buchanan. Dani’s situation is heartbreaking. Best of all..the return of David Vickers..and a HUGE surprise at the end of Epi. 1. IMHO, #OLTL is MUST SEE TV!
I also say OLTL was a little too “sexed up” but hope that’ll settle down now. I really do not like Natalie being so slutty. I’m so glad to see Todd and Blair. It amazes me how Todd (Roger) dominates the show, I don’t think it would survive without him. I’ve watched that show since the day he came on scene with the rape, and will continue to watch his show on my last day. The final scene took my breath away. Love this guy, too! I had not watched AMC much in the past, but it was very interesting too, and I plan to keep up with the characters. I’m thrilled to have them both back.
One OLTL IS NOT HIS SHOW! Second OLTL did VERY WELL without him for 8 years and will continue to do extremely well now that the ONE and ONLY Todd Manning is back TSJ!!!
Woa, sorry, didn’t mean to offend anyone. I only meant that the dance was pretty suggestive. I like Natalie, and would love to see John back with her soon.
How was Natalie slutty? Because she dressed/undressed in the privacy of her own home? Because she danced half a dance with Cutter? It’s not like she stripped in the club and had sex with Cutter on the dance floor. She didn’t even stay at the club long…even the sitter remarked how early she was home.
Thank you Chaz!! Could not agree more!!
Jloliefan…you are very confrontational all over these message boards. You argue with posts, you challenge people’s opinions, and you even called someone petty. EVERYONE has a different opinion and just because it differs from yours, you shouldn’t be so argumentative and superior towards others on this site. This is a site for everyone to express their opinions, not just you.
Amen! Well said!
Agree…i feel attacked by this person just because he or she dislikes my opinion…all this person has to do is express why they feel the opposite and be less confrontational and move on.
Wow. Wow. Wow. That ending was just what I would dream for but never thought would happen. Awesome. Can’t say I was all that crazy about the club scenes, but I think it’ll all shake out and be great. Great production values!
My take.. Of course it was glorious to see everyone back. I liked the “new” Destiny and the “new” Matthew. Glad to see Natty has her own place, Liam is a little older and she has a life! will miss “JOLIE” tho…and the phenomenal actors Trevor and Roger.. let a tale of Bros begin. LOVE LOVE IT! Viki and Dorian perfect.. Clint great! Blair being Blair and of course David Vickers adding the I missed him so much…
Now.. some advice…First the writers need to watch a TNT show where words that arent on network are allowed. TNT Shows know how to add words like SHI*…Overuse from Dani of the word SHI* was simply irritating. Her character was not well defined either. She was OK with Jeffrey …then falling all over the place higher than a kite at the end. And Tea did say back on GH Dani was away at school so continuity issues, writers. Next whats with all the loud noise and yelling??? Bo shrieking at Matthew? the music at the club. I dont care for the Shelter stuff at all..Please do not use as a focal point. Take a page from Ultra Violet and use sparingly… In fact get REX back!(Fan of JP)
All in all.. I got up at 330 AM to watch and I feel like all is good again in soap land. Thank you Prospect Park.
GH had their own storyline doesn’t mean that Prospect Park will be using their storyline concerning Dani. Their storylines were so pushed and absurd, hopefully they won’t use any of them. OLTL has their own now.
Your right Tali!
Nan,
Dani is hooked on Pharmaceuticals that is what Oxy’s are. Dani only used the word shit once when she said I feel like shit to Matthew. I thought Kelli did a wonderful Job of acting like a Drug addicted young adult. They showed what happens at these clubs everyday and it is something that should be addressed to many young ppl are messing with these drugs at clubs and Pharm parties and are dying because of it!
They’re already using the GH storylines – Tea doesn’t have her baby and John isn’t on together canvas. The lawsuit that PP filed also proves that they are sticking with the GH storylines, otherwise they wouldn’t care what direction GH took – they would do a do-over and write the storylines/characters how they wanted to.
Sami – Kassie DePAiva aka Blair said there hasn’t been any mention of the GH story line as of yet. They haven’t informed the audience yet about Tea’s baby’s fate. Hopefully he/she is in the hospital or something! I also believe they’ll recast John McBain but haven’t as of yet. We’ve only seen the first episode, let’s give it some time and hope GH stories are dead!!!!
Dani used the word shit three times.
I didn’t mind any of the language. I always felt it was kind of dumb to have characters use certain words (Darn, Gosh, Gee Whiz, etc) when in real life people swear…especially when irate or drunk/high. And, in the case of specific character types – criminals and so forth – it was always ridiculous.
Better get the smelling salts ready….Tea drops the F-word in a future episode.
I can not wait to see that!
I got up at 2:30 am just to see my soaps was NOT dissapointed and well worth it. I can’t wait for tomorrow .I had to cover my mouth from screaming at the end of OLTL.
LOL.
i was so taken aback. what a “sight”.
that in itself was serious cliff-hanger return action.
All I have to say is, OMG!!! That ending of OLTL made me jump for joy. The only thing that I can honestly say that I wasn’t crazy for was the theme song for OLTL…. I think that maybe needs to be looked at again, but all and all I’m very pleased to have my shows back. I’m not gonna bitch and moan about anything story wise, because I know that it takes more than the first episode to build things up, especially now that it’s in a 30 minute format. I will be hungrily awaiting tomorrow’s episode. Imagine that….I never thought I would be able to say, I can’t wait to watch OLTL or AMC tomorrow…..What a happy day!
Me too. I was also impressed at how much material was put into this new 30 minute format. There was 28 minutes of content, which is not that much from the 60 minute format. After commercials, it’s about 36 minutes. I’m looking forward to seeing this show tomorrow and will watch every morning before I leave for work. Great way to start of the reboot of the series. Thanks Prospect Park!!
Me too Torrey!!
I was hooked back into AMC surprisingly more than OLTL. Liked the new AMC actors better than the new OLTL bunch but that’s on the basis of 1 mere episode so that can change. All the vets on BOTH shows are great, and the minute I saw a hooded figure I was sure it was TSJ as Victor. So glad they addressed that right away and there were no online spoilers that I saw ahead of time.
OMG that was beyond AWESOME! Loved the way it looked, the pace, the stories just EVERYTHING!! PP did an amazing job and I for one can not wait to see what is next for both shows! The credit to the fans at the end brought tears to my eyes, It is us that should be thanking you Jeff and Rich and everyone involved in these 2 shows! These shows have been missed for almost 2 years and now we have them back and they are better quality than the Networks!!
LONG LIVE ALL MY CHILDREN AND ONE LIFE TO LIVE
CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE DRAMA ABOUT CASSANDRA UNFOLD WITH JESSE AND ZACK TOMORROW!!!
OLTL is back! And Victor returning is the best kept secret ever.
Sigh. Disappointed. Only watched OLTL…will definitely watch again and again and again to support the genre…and with the hope that it gets better. But for me, the characters didn’t have the same feel and the mission of attracting a younger audience is apparent.
Personally, I thiink they should have kept the characters/storylines quite similar to the characterizations we’re used to…keep the focus on the characters we love…and gradually introduce younger characters, the club, etc. so that the “feel” and familiarity of the show is there..I’d be more open to new characters/younger storylines.
In a sense that’s what GH is doing. They’ve kept the feel of the show, brought back so many familiar “older” faces…while simulatneously blending in younger characters as well as the OLTL three.
I’m really hoping that the main focus isn’t so much on the “younger” set..but I’m sure PP feels that’s the way for this venture to be successful from a business sense.
Time will tell…
I agree, Rebecca. It seemed to be aimed toward the younger crowd. But I plan to hang in there, to give them support, and I think they still need to find their roots in this new genre. It’ll be just great.
hope so Pat…
