PBS Releases First U.S. Promo Of Downton Abbey Season Four!

So, we are just a little over two months away from the much-awaited premiere episode of season four of the Emmy winning Downton Abbey!  While the folks across the pond are already seeing all-new episodes, here in the U.S., we must wait till January 5th, 2014 when Masterpiece on PBS begins the season!

In this first promo, some scenes from the original season four promo in the U.K. and some new clips are put together in a :30 second promo, that leaves us wondering … what will happen for Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery)?  Will she find new love?

As viewers know, season four picks-up several months after the death of Matthew Crawley (Dan Stevens).  How will his death impact the ability for Mary and others to move on with their lives?  What scandal will fall into the upstairs and downstairs of the “Downton” crew?

I’m so hyped up for the new season! This is by far the best prime soap to come along in a long time. This is my favorite and Madmen is my 2nd favorite.

Where can I find Season 3? My Comcast On Demand only has one and two. I watched them this summer and love this show! But can’t find season 3 anywhere. My daughter even checked on Hulu Plus and Cinema Now for me. Not there either.

Roz – try your local library. You might be able to borrow the dvds for free. I just borrowed Season 2.

You can watch season 3 free if you have Amazon Prime, which costs about $80.00 a year but gives you access to all kinds of TV shows and movies.

I also can’t wait for season 4 in January!

Very much anticipating this program’s return…I’ve been reading all the spoilers and show reviews in the British press, and they sound, for the most part, quite intriguing and interesting. There are a few unpleasantries that I certainly could do without, but also some wonderful developments. Always a great treat to experience….particularly after once again viewing all three seasons (of reruns) on PBS this past summer.

Unfortunately, I’m just not as interested in Season 4. Where can the show go from here? They killed off BOTH of the couples I was rooting for!
