Pierson Fodé Exits The Bold and the Beautiful!
Another fine young actor has decided to leave the daytime drama arena. This time it’s The Bold and the Beautiful’s Pierson Fodé (Thomas).
There had been much speculation over the last few months that Pierson was indeed planning to exit the CBS soap opera since he has been very busy filming other projects.
The news was confirmed today via Soap Opera Digest.
Fodé revealed, “I’ll tell you what. As far as my time goes in L.A., this has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve made.”
Pierson spent the last two-and-a-half years playing the pivotal role of Thomas Forrester, and apparently has already filmed his last episode.
So sad to hear Pierson is moving on from B&B? Comment below!
Say it isn’t so.
That’s a shame. He was the best Thomas so far and had great chemistry with the other actors.
I totally agree Kim…Pierson has been my favorite actor playing Thomas and I love him and Sally together…I wish Pierson the best with his future endeavors…
Best wishes to the actor but the character should’ve been written out after he had raped Caroline. We saw what happened but then Bell tried to whitewash what was the exact same thing as the Stanford Swimmer. In an interview Michael Logan dragged Bell for this but sadly Bell was utterly tone deaf about rape
To add insult to injury B&B made Caroline pregnant & broke up Caridge in one single episode. When Bell wrote off the talented Linsey Godfrey he said in his SOD interview it was because he didn’t want Thomas tied down to a kid. Well, guess what? You wrote that garbage. The baby should have been Ridge’s
Then they bring back Linsey and totally denigrate Caroline. B&B once again rewrote what we saw and had her spouting off BS that she had always loved Thomas. WTF! She NEVER loved him. She was sickened & horrified when she woke up & found Thomas in bed with her.
B&B remains IMO the worst soap on the air. Love is thimble deep. Characters fall in & out of love in 2 episodes. How can they expect anything to resonate. Characters have 180′ motivational shifts all to service plot not character. They bring on the God awful nuSpectras while the Avants are totally MIA.
i have to agree with you, Denise, on one thing and that is how quickly characters are gaga over each other. Thomas and Sally barely knew each other and yet they were ready to die for each other and we were supposed to root for them. I couldn’t find any root value because I I didn’t have any time invested in them. I do like both characters but trying to buy them as a “supercouple” was something i wasn’t able to do. Maybe if they recast Thomas and give the new actor time to find his footing (if the show goes there)and chemistry with Sally, then I might be able to take them as a couple but right now, I’m thinking this is the best thing for the character if he leaves for a little while.
Denise…oh, I agree. THE FNAL STRAW for me was when Bill talked Caroline into going along with that IDIOTIC plan (pretending and all) that Caroline herself was dying so that Thomas would leave Sally and go back to Caroline. Really and truly dumb.
Take care, Denise.
Quick correction: FINAL
Thank you, Denise! I agree with so much of what you say in your post. Caroline, like so many B&B characters, serves no purpose. In this world where corporate power is traded day to day and no one has any real romance or marriage or commitment, characters are but shells moved along for plot devices, not genuine stories. And the hypocrisy of the characters as they endlessly talk and talk.
This actor is handsome and talented. And I liked him with nuSally. My hope was a serious story of Romeo & Juliet romance along with that of a man finding his own way apart from his privileged and spoiled family.
Bravo!!!
True.
Watching Days of our lives instead on nbc . The writing has greatly improved on Days . Clearly Days is the soap to watch !
The only chemistry she had was with TK she belonged with him no baby needed to be involved
Omg. .change the channel, tben!!!@
Yes, you are right. It is the worst soap that I’ve watched & I’ve watched many, all of ABC soaps & Y&R too. It is all about flashbacks and daydreams. All of which they have about 20 minutes each day to air. Stupid love triangle after triangle and the same characters day in and day out. I really should not even waste my time. Been watching B&B since 2007.
I am sorry to see him go. I hope that the role is recast, so that Thomas and Sally can finally be together. They have had a problem keeping someone in the role of Thomas for some reason.
I’m super surprised he’s leaving and disappointed. I liked him with Sally. Hopefully they’ll recast.
NO! He’s the only reason I have been watching lately…was loving the Thomas & Sally storyline.
I agree!
have tuned into Days of our lives on nbc . watch Days like i do ! much improved soap and so worth watching !
I hate to see him leave. He is so talented. Can’t wait to see what his next projects are.
Can’t say I’ll miss the character, but I wish Pierson good luck in his career. Wouldn’t mind him visiting from time to time. That’ll be ok.
Would have been much better if he had left awhile back. Hes been phoning in his role for a good while. It was obvious that it no longer was what he wanted. The fans deserve better than lackluster efforts by their actors. He and Rome both needed to go.
I hate that he is leaving! I sure do like Thomas and Sally together!
Recast wish: Marco Dapper.( ex Carmine, y n r) Sauve and sexy. He could be future leading man for b n b. ..and another y n r alumn..Redaric Williams( ex tyler) as Zende recast. B n b loves rehiring y n r actors so keep the tradition going.
This is a Big blow for the show. Especially with the popularity of Thomas and Sally and the roots that relationship has with the show. If they intend to recast they need to take their time and get it right. I heard Hope may be reappearing and Zende leaving its a pivotal time for the show for sure.
Oh no, my wife is going to be devastated. He is her favorite one in the soap.
Daytime is losing a lot of its young talent. It”s sad for us, but when opportunity knocks when you are young, you have to answer it. He was the best Thomas and as someone said, he had/has chemistry with everyone. I also hope they recast the role.
I have never been a fan of the character Thomas– no matter who plays him, my hope the character won’t be recast for a while–as for PF– best of luck– hoping you don’t end up
on the whatever happen to…… list
I will miss him. He was the only shinning light in B and B. The shiella part I fast forward. Hope Sally reminds I love her. Hope she doesn’t leave to. I will miss him but look forward to him on other shows.
Will miss him . Hope Sally will stay. I love her crazy fashions . Shelia I can do without. I fast forward.her. She is suppose to be dead. I will watch for him on other shows.
Hopefully they don’t get rid of him by him falling in love with Caroline and getting them both to leave town. I love Caroline with Ridge and Sally should be with Thomas so please bring in a new Thomas.
Bold and the beautiful has become through the years the worst and most unwatchable soap . the endless , tiresome triangles and breakups over and over again … Brooke and Bill again and again … the cartoonish and ridiculous new spectras . Just hookups , how we dress , how we look : these are the only things with this soap . The storylines are boring , cliché , superficial and predictable . Sheila’s return was a flop … She died on young and restless , her own sister sara smythe confirmed she was dead and she is alive and well on Bold with no explanation ! Bell just says to us : forget what happened on Young and restless ! You need to assume and take responsability for the stories you write ! Sheila did die ! The audence is treated with no respect . Couldn’t even honour the memory of Darlene Conley with a special episode confirming death of sally with flashbacks ! I have said goodbye for good to Bold and i am watching Days of our lives on NBC ! Having the time of my life with Days of our lives a soap that has improved hugely . i recommend Days of our lives as the new soap to watch . Have given up on Young and restless too ! General hospital is awful : too much violence , shootings , mafia and mob stuff …
Very Sad! But, sounds like a good move for him. I wish him all the best!
I was so surprised to read this; remember seeing an interview with him and the actress who plays Sally…they seemed to really enjoy their characters and their on-screen relationship. Disappointed; he’s a great looking guy who can act; he’s perfect in the role and lights up the screen. He and “Sally” are adorable together. I guess great offers have been coming in and the time is right for him to grab other opportunities.
Best to him but sorry to see him go.
BIG LOSS FOR THE SHOW…..HE FINALLY GOT A GOOD STORY LINE WITH SALLY. ENJOYED THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE TWO…….WISH HIM ALOT OF LUCK!!!!
Good luck the smartest thing you ever did getting out of that lions den! Brad never explained that the building had been redone by Jackie M he was hinkschis viewers are as dumb as hevis
Here I go again he thinks his viewers are dumb we are not
I loved Thomas!! I hate that he is leaving!!! But good luck. Are u replacing him and hope he is as hot!!!! Lol!! Thomas….Ahhhhhh u will be missed for sure!!!! Why does thi as keep happening???????
U will be missed Thomas!!!! Loved u in this part!!! Omgosh!! Who is taking his place??
My best wishes to Pierson Fode in whatever he does and i’m sure he didn’t want to leave B&B but he had to make a choice about what was best for his career.Plus maybe he didn’t want to B&B in an uncomfortable situation where they had to work around his schedule in giving him time off.As for B&B, it wouldn’t surprise me if they recasted Thomas in the near future because when Thomas finds out that Caroline isn’t really dying and that Bill, Steffy and Liam knew he may not be happy with them.
WHAT?!?!?!
Wow, I am stunned!
I agree with you about Myas family. By the way, did Nicole ever sign the papers regarding thebaby? I to was upset about Thomas in bed with Caroline. I wish tey left her with Ridge and made the baby Ridge’s. I was mad when they broke up Ridge and Caroline. I liked the pairing of Thomas and Sally. I also love the pairing of Katie and Wyatt. I think they have terrific chemistry. I say bring me more. I can’t wait for papa Bill to get wind of the happy couple. I guess if Bill can take Katie’s sister, she can take his son.
They fired one hot, young actor and now another one quits.

Kelly Sullivan Gives High Praise to ‘General Hospital’s’ Maura West Recalling When Ava Shot Connie (Exclusive)

It was just over 13 years ago on General Hospital when Ava Jerome (Maura West) shot and killed Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) in an effort to keep her quiet from revealing that Derek Wells was actually Ava’s back-from-the-dead brother, Julian Jerome (William deVry). It’s a crime that somehow Ava never has quite paid for either.
The episode back aired on August 13, 2013 and viewers had to say goodbye to Kelly Sullivan who played Kate and her alter, Connie. In the story, just before she died, Kate/Connie scrawled the letters AJ in her own blood, initially making the PCPD and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) think that it was AJ Quatermaine (Sean Kanan) who did the deed.
Now, Sullivan recalled sharing scenes with the three-time Daytime Emmy-winning West, during a live conversation on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel. Kelly was the special guest talking about her recent return to the soaps in her new role as The Bold and the Beautiful’s Darcy Dylan.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF MAURA WEST
Speaking of her final GH scenes and working with Maura West, Sullivan gave her then GH co-star major props. “If you’re going to be shot by somebody (on the soaps), you want to be shot by Maura West, c’mon!”
Maura West debuted back in May 2013 as Ava, and Sullivan remembered when the As the World Turns favorite began on GH. “I remember when Maura West first arrived at GH. She walked in with this cute little bob (hairdo) and she’s just delicious,” shared Sullivan.
A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE
Kelly revealed more about Maura, adding “I think she’s amazing! I remember right before I left the show, someone suggested, and I would still love to do this with her, if she ever want to, but someone suggested that they wanted to direct the stage play A Streetcar Named Desire with Maura and I, where I would play Stella and she would play Blanche! Wouldn’t that be great?”
Speaking of the Ava/Connie showdown scenes, Sullivan expressed, “On television and on General Hospital specifically, Maura West is able to play a character who does the most horrendous things and you still care about her and that’s the mark of a really great actor. In other words, you’re able to be liked in the midst of the most horrendous things, and as a performer not shying away from that, and to just have the courage to do what’s on the page (in the script).”

KELLY SULLIVAN PARTING THOUGHTS AS SHE LEFT GENERAL HOSPITAL
Kelly also shared her sentiments when she walked off the set of General Hospital after her run back in August of 2013. “I really was honored. Every day I would go to work and I would say a little prayer, which is I want to do justice for my character, explained Kelly. “It’s between me and my character. I get to walk this path with her and to leave the show on that note, which is, I left every out there. I just gave it my all and again what an honor it was to play Kate/Connie.”
You can catch the full conversation with Kelly where she talks about her time on General Hospital, The Young and the Restless where she played Sage Warner and now The Bold and the Beautiful below.

Steve Burton Reportedly Signs Three-Year Contract with ‘General Hospital’

The question of will Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) stay awhile at General Hospital after his recent extended hiatus from the show earlier this year, has reportedly been answered.
TMZ via court documents obtained in Burton’s ongoing legal battle with his ex-wife Sheree Gustin, shared that Steve actually inked a new three year deal with the ABC soap opera back in June.
That is significant because it was June when Burton returned back to work as Jason. In addition, the court filing confirmed that Burton had already moved back to California from Tennessee.

STEVE’S HIATUS AND HIS RETURN TO PORT CHARLES
GH fans will recall, it was back in February of 2026, that Burton announced via his Instagram that he was stepping away from his role of Jason Morgan for short break and pointed to wanting to spend quality time with his new wife, Michelle Lundstrom Burton with whom he tied the knot back on May 17, 2025.
Steve expressed at that time, “I’m newly married and looking forward to spending some quality time with my family.” It was back on March 25 that viewers saw Jason carted away by the WSB after taking the fall for Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) who shot then WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).
Burton returned to work on June 1, and due to General Hospital taping roughly six weeks ahead of air, made his on-screen comeback on the July 13 episode.
GOING FOR GOLD AT THE UPCOMING DAYTIME EMMYS
Then, Steve and his enduring fans got an extra special treat on the same day, when it was revealed on Extra that he was nominated for the upcoming 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Daytime Drama Series category.
Steve previously won in the Supporting Actor category for his work as General Hospital’s Jason in 1998 and as The Young and the Restless’ Dylan McAvoy in 2018.
Now with Jason and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) relationship seemingly hitting the skids, plus Jason’s commitment to staying out of mob life to focus on being present for his son Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), what does the future hold for the fan favorite character? Stay tuned.
So, happy to hear that Steve Burton signed a new three year deal with General Hospital? Knowing that, what storyline would you like to see Jason get involved and with who? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section.

CAKE FIGHTS AND CORPORATE INTRIGUE
The book description for The Young and the Rest of Us adds, “In June 1987, Jess Walton walked through the artists’ entrance at CBS for her first day on The Young and the Restless, where she had just been hired to play the recast role of Jill Abbott. Two Emmy awards, four decades, and countless onscreen affairs, marriages, corporate takeovers, and cake fights later, she’s a beloved icon with an astonishing tale to tell.”
“In her refreshingly candid style, Jess shares her journey as a young actress from Toronto theaters to Los Angeles, where she found herself at the center of a Laurel Canyon circle that included the likes of Neil Young, David Geffen, Laura Nyro, and Joni Mitchell. Landing a Universal contract and a steady stream of guest starring roles, Jess embraced everything 1970s L.A. had to offer—including Hollywood parties fueled by limitless booze and drugs, and trysts with stars. She recounts with candor and gratitude the surprising path that eventually led her to sobriety, true love—and ultimately, to fictional Genoa City, Wisconsin, and the role of a lifetime.”
“Brimming with behind-the-scenes drama and celebrity cameos to delight fans, The Young and the Rest of Us is also rich in personal, relatable truths about marriage, motherhood, empty-nesting, self-discovery, and finding the courage to start over—as often as it takes. In a voice as fearless and frank as Jill’s, but with, humor and grace all her own, Jess Walton looks back on a life as unpredictable, and adventure filled as anything she has portrayed on screen.”
WHO ELSE PLAYED JILL FOSER ABBOTT?
Fans of The Young and the Restless know that Walton became the fourth actress to take on the role of Katherine Chancellor’s original nemesis Jill Foster back in 1987. The OG Jill was played by Brenda Dickson, also Deborah Adair, Bond Gideon and Melinda O. Fee played the part.
This year, Days of our Lives star Lauren Koslow (Kate Roberts) filled-in for several episodes for Walton who was unavailable to travel from her home in Oregon to Los Angeles where Y&R was taped. Walton is still with the long-running soap opera as Jill.
