Awesome!
I am thrilled and can’t wait until they give us the official word! Thank you Michael for keeping us informed. We now have real hope!
I do believe that once they announce it..and more actors sign up..we all will feel a lot better about AMC /OLTL.. I cannot wait to see what exactly they do with the characters for both shows..it’s got to be a huge task to re-design sets etc. Cannot wait to see them all again..30 minutes a day will have to do..it’s much better than NOTHING at all.
The soap are 30 minutes in time, what fills the hour are the commercials..
I watch the soaps in their entirety on-line and with the on-line commercials they run about 36 minutes..
30 Minute show means about 25 minutes or so of show now, as they will have limited commercials. If they make them to fit a TV slot of 30 minutes the shows will run about 21 minutes.
I”ll take it! I want to visit Llanview & Pine Valley again! Let’s say a more permenate
stay! I guess they are doing it this way is to save money. The soaps started at 30
minutes all those years ago!
Prospect Park has working on their project behind the scenes for an year and it is now all together this time around getting it right..
I being a happy upbeat positive person believe it will happen..
The dreary paranoids with the glass half full will never believe it, even when it is on their screens lol..
I will once again be watching my soaps!! whoooopie !!!
Best news ever !!!! Happy New Year to all of us !!!
Considering their track record I will believe it when I get a confirmation production has started.
Thanks Michael once again with your wonderful articles and I know we can count on you to tell us things as soon as you know them . looking forward from hearing the news as soon as you can . Have a great day.
Thank goodness!
I will feel more rest assured when I am watching AMC again 🙂 I’m afraid to believe too much until then.
In a word AMEN! This is the announcement we have been waiting for. Welcome back OLTL!
Yes!
I don’t think I’ll believe it until I’m watching it …. 😀
I feel that way also!
Wonderful news! There has been such a huge void without these cherished shows. I can’t wait for them to return.
Sorry gang, I’m not convinced yet
I’m with you, Troy. PP released a statement in 2011 and I remember how that turned out. I need more convincing, too!
Before I get labelled as a hater, I’ve been one of those working on getting AMC and OLTL back since Black Thursday-so I’ve been through the PP rollercoaster before. I’m sorry, gang-until they give us more details, this is all just talk
They have the financing secured this time. It’s happening.
Where is your proof…
Ummm… The press release lol. It’s happening.
I agree!
I have to see the shows airing first sorry
Me too! I still have a little uneasy feeling.
This could be the biggest day for the soap opera genre in over a decade. When its announced officially by PP that these two shows are coming back man people are going to be so relieved. The fact that DAYS is coming back to NBC, really does mean the predictions were right on 2013 being the revival year for the soaps to comeback from the dead. My remaining question will be what television network will they air on, I don’t expect PP to announce a television home today yet that’ll probably come after they start shooting the show. If it… Read more »
I am sooooo happy to hear this! I miss AMC, & am looking forward to it! I hope all of the casts goes back!
I am soo excited my heart broke when it was canceled. Please let me know how to get there when it happens!!
Hi Michael, thank you for keeping us updated. I am one of the wait until I see it skeptics. I would love for it to happen and will be forever grateful to PP if they actually reboot and air our beloved soaps, until I see them I can’t get excited. However I will feel a lot better if PP does make a formal statement. I will be estatic if they come back, I am a proud soap fan of 36 years, devoted to ABC soaps
Will believe it when it is online to view. After last time don’t want to get my hopes up again. I will be watching if it happens.
Believe it when I see it. Just hope they dont mess it up….
Have they given any indication of what these shows will be? I’m guessing that there isn’t enough money for one hour, five day a week 52 week a year show. What can we expect?
This has been reported last week.
30 minute shows, 4 days a week with Friday recap shows, something like 42 weeks a year.
Nothing official, as per usual, but this is what I’ve been hearing. There are two possibilities-4 days a week, 30 min-with a week in review on Friday, or telenovela-style 5-week arcs alternating between the two. But, then again, this could be all just talk
I hope they are noy yanking our chains again!
As a soap fan for 40 years, I am so very grateful to Prospect for picking up my soaps and carrying them forward! Thank you so very much!
