General Hospital

RATINGS: General Hospital's Numbers Perk Up As Robin is Fried!

Courtesy/ABC

Courtesy/ABC

In some good news for a change for the ratings of the now lone ABC soap opera, General Hospital, and as we expected, the week of February 20 – 24th saw a good increase for the series.   With Robin’s exit story playing out where her body was charred and burned beyond recognition due to a laboratory explosion (Thanks Maxie!), the week saw the final performance of real-time Robin!  Now, of course various members of the Drake/Scorpio family are seeing her as a ghost and Jason, too!  In addition,  new head writer, Ron Carlivati’s scripts began to air, this ratings week,  and viewers began to see quicker paced scenes with impact to them.

GH gained 192,000 viewers for the week plus went up one-tenth of a ratings point in the key women 18-34 and 18-49 demo.  The only other soap to show gains was Days of our Lives who added another +21,000 eyeballs keeping the series in the third place of the four remaining soaps and ahead of GH, Will’s coming out story and the EJ/Sami secret helped continued the show’s recent steady progress.

However, this week was not a good week for the CBS soaps, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.  While they remained at number one and number two, respectively, they both lost  viewers.   View the entire ratings courtesy of Soap Opera Network after the jump.

Now,  let us know how you think the four remaining soaps are fairing?  And, how do you feel about the odd exit of long-time GH fan favorite Kimberly McCullough (Robin)?  Do you think the character deserved a better exit ?  Do you think the burned body is actually Robin’s?  Weigh in!

I’m glad about the rating increase for GH, but it saddens me that it took a legacy character dying for it to happen…

it took more than that it took new writers and KM choose to leave to become a director shewasnt fired. I am glad she stayed on a little longer to give us this awesome storyline. Garin Wolf was killing GH and fast!

IM still hoping she is not dead, that she got out of there, and doesnt remember who she is.

She wanted to leave that was her choice. I don’t think replacing her with someone else would be fair since she has been the character since CHILDHOOD. So tragic and YES she is dead this time..if he saw her being blown up and burned YES she is sincerely DEAD. This show has shaken up a lot of stuff in the past week or so. Adding characters from OLTL will only strengthen it more. Was weird to see Blair from OLTL standing on the set at GH. Heartbreaking stuff with Patrick and Emma. Look for more soon. Watched Gh for years and think it can go a long way if ABC lets it. ABC better keep it on..given the ratings of it’s sad replacements for soaps..ALL of daytime will be lost to them if they don’t..those shows SUCK bigtime in my opinion.

two thumbs up!!!! well said!

I. Am and always will be an abc fan! Ive tried other soaps and they are ok but abc has always been better.

lets just hope we keep the final one!

I have a question, I notice they count those from age 18 through 49. My grandaughter watches this show and she is 13 and at 65 I’m still watching. So does this mean that ABC did not brother counting those under 18 and those above 50. If so no wonder they took off OLTL and AMC. It seems like the tv rating system doesn’t care what anyone below 18 and over 50 watches. Awful!!!

so true!

you got it right ,Ive been complaining about this for a very long time ,if your 49 and over your not counted,so I feel cheated IM not counted as a viewer of the soaps .I never thought about 18 and under .that cant be right either ,look at all the kid channels that are out there.also I hear that more older people watch tv ,yet they still cater to the young 18 to 49 ,you bet its awful, looks like you and I dont count, soapnet wasnt counted,if you watch on the net its not counted if you tape it its not counted.your counted when its on live, and if your 18 to 49 you count ,I think its wrong.

I so agree, what they should do is just take a poll and everyone that watches put their age down. There is a wide range of ages that watch and not just women either.

I will say I have been a Nielsen ‘family’ a couple of times and am over the 49 year category you are referring too. When I did the Neilsen ratings they did want to know when a program was recorded and watched. I think they do count all age groups but unfortunately only care to report the 18-49 year old demographic because of the advertisers. Sorry, but I have more spending power then most any 18 year old out there so the advertisers really should care about the rest of us. Would be nice if ABC supported its viewers and stopped driving us away with new programming most don’t want to watch.

Yes I believe that Nielsen needs to count all viewers. I am 56 and have been watching ABC soaps since I was 13. It isn’t fair that we are not counted. There are a lot of baby boomers out there!! A lot!!! We should be equally counted as the other groups are. I know that it would make a big difference in the ratings and for the ratings for the “Chew” that we no no one watches yet they claim it is catching up to AMC ratings from last year. If people 50 and older were counted these ratings would take a drastic drop. What is wrong with them, why don’t we count???? We have been viewers for a long time and I feel like we are being discriminated against just becasue we are over 50. Don’t they realize that we are the ones who support the networks the most because there is such a high number of us. We should be counted too!!!!! Especially us! What does the younger crowd have that we have not already been through and experienced and we are a much better audience too!!!???

Actually the tv ratings are divided into a few groups: 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. The 18-49 is the coveted one because that is what advertisers are looking at usually. It an old system that is in dire need to be updated. Way back when, it was mostly women who stayed home in the daytime with babies and they were also the ones doing the deciding what is purchased — like diapers and laundry detergent and coffee… you all know what commercials I’m talking about. It’s ridiculous – that has long changed and of course men watch tv too and men buy stuff, and of course people over age 54 buy stuff.
It’s not really catching who is really watching – it can’t possibly be knowing Everyone who is watching – I believe it’s the tv diaries thatwould capture sex/age, and dvr’s and live broadcasts that capture total numbers, which I don’t if that is just cable or if it counts digital tuners. But I agree Neilsen needs to update the rating categories!

Dear God, I sure hope they either get rid of liz’s character or stop making her an hateful slut!! I can’t even stand her scenes any more!

i hope they change her as i am tired of thinking she owns the men she has been with and only wants them when they are NOT available. I hope for once in her life she goes after a man that isnt involved with anyone and please dont give her any more kids fathers day is just to confusing.

She doesn’t want them until someone else does. I’m embarrassed FOR her and she gives all women a bad name!!

I love the fathers day is to confusing.

Liz is one of those character’s I can take or leave, rather leave. The character has been one dimentional.

I hate how GH handled Robin’s death. They made it all about Jason Morgan, as usual. There was no proper respect paid to the character or her legacy. Monica barely batted an eye upon learning about Robin’s death. Ron Carlivati had the opportunity to salvage a potentially horrible exit story of Robin dying of AIDS by honoring Kimberly McCullough’s decision to stay until April to give Robin a suitable exit story. Instead, he made a bad situation worse. He has cheapened the character and her fans. So much for having hope that GH could be saved now that GW and Bob Guza are FINALLY out. I’m pretty disgusted. The only “good” news is that room has been left open for Robin to return from the dead…but that’s all I give Ron credit for. He seems to be more interested in his OLTL pets, the Manning family, and the unholy trinity of Sonny, Jason and Carly of GH. He hasn’t even made good use of Robert’s and Anna’s return so far.

This was the perfect way to write her out, no one could replace her so that was not an option, her dying of aids would of been horrible to watch and heart breaking and we already had to see stone die that is enough and its not entertaining to see it with someone that we have loved and watch grow from a little girl. This has left the door open for her return. Jason has hardly been seen and as for Robert and Anna they just founf out their daughter died and robert literally just arrived, she hasnt even been buried yet. I think they are doing an awesome job it isnt rushed everyone is finding out about her death and we get to see their reaction unlike most soap deaths. They have been back for 6 days and already GH is awesome and very well balanced! Looking forward to what will happen next!

I agree that Robin dying of AIDS would have been awful and Robin dying was the only option assuming there is a loophole for her to return which thanks to the new regime we have. However there was no build up to the story and the new team pushed Robin out early when Kimberly had two months left on her contract. The worst part of all is that they are making it all about Jason and it is so unbelievabl that Robin would have risked her life with Patrick and Emma to save Jason Morgan. She is compassionate and a great friend but she fought too hard for her life. There is no way she would do this unless maybe it was her family she was trying to save. This is very telling about the new regime. The show is still all about the unholy trinity of Jason, Carly and Sonny. And we have characters like Monica and Sonny who should be very upset about tobin dying and they are acting as if nothing happened. As for the return of Robert I am happy he and Anna are here but so far Tristan is only here for about six episodes so so much for that. Next Ii would bet they will have Patrick move on practically overnight because this is what Ron usually does. That will be curtains for GH as far as the large fan base. And the sad truth is that it did not have to be this way. Ron had Kimberly for two more months to do justice to the character and if he really wanted to save GH he would stop the insanity of making everything revolve around the unholy trinity.

Well said, I havent been excited about watching GH for a long time..Keep up the good work…loving the new pace.

The sad part about Robin’s exit is that it’s not about Robin as it should be. Robin’s death is primarily still focusing on St. Jason and the “Unholy quadrangle.” Robin’s death happened too quickly with no real lead in and absolutely no closure. I am so disappointed with Garin W. and Ron C. handling of such a legacy characters storyline. it makes me sad to see what’s coming down the pike toward the demise of GH.

As a 40 plus year soap fan, I believe the reason Robin’s body was burned beyond recognition is so they could bring her back. They can explain away everyone seeing her as a ghost as “dreams & grief.” Maybe the exit of the Ped. Doctor that came from Memphis may turn out to be the real body. Or as in other story lines where dead characters return, there will be no explanation and Robin will just show up again one day. Maybe she survived and one of the fire department members carried her out while no one was looking, knowing she was injured and took her somewhere to recover for a year or two. I see it as an opening for her return. That makes me happy as I am a big fan of hers.

IVE BEEN A GH FAN FOR 30 YRS, I THINK U NEED 2 BRING BACK JACK WAGNER [FRISCO] AND FELICIA!! KEEP THE SHOW GOING , DONT TAKE THIS SHOW AWAY FROM ITS FANS!!

rumour has it that kristina wagner maybe returning and jack wagner has been let go of B&B so you never know!

jack wagner is gonna be on dancing with the stars too

The increase in viewers was due to Anna, Robert, and Emma coming back and the Mannings coming not Robin dying!

i think a combination of all of it but if it was just robin dying then it would not of generated this much buzz.

I agree Stephanie. Robins death did not bring in the numbers. Anna & Robert coming back, along with better written scenes is what made the numbers rise. Remember these ratings aren’t from last week when the show was really good, but the week before when the death of Robin was done horribly.

Robin, is still on set taping. She isn’t leaving so fast.
Next weeks ratings will be even better, as the show gets better daily.

Who cares about cbs soaps? We are in for the fight of our life at GH! 🙂

debi, maybe she is just in patrick ,anna ,and roberts mind, crazy things happen when people die in the thoughts of there loved ones,so I dont think she is a ghost,I think shes in there mind,I hope that robert does go looking for her ,here is something that is bothering me ,remember when robert went to see robin ,she was saying things that robin would not say to her father, about him letting her die ,thats robert feeling guilty for not being there, also unless I saw it wrong, robins so called hand came out from under the sheet we were seeing a shadow, while robin was talking to robert didnt she pick the hand up and put it back under the sheet?that scene bothers me cause a ghost cant do that ,was I seeing things?or did robert put the hand back?I just think that scene was very interesting ,that will be roberts excuse to leave port charles again,to hopefully come back with robin,or at least come back to say she is alive.

do ghosts stay longer? heck I dont know, but when you said that I couldnt stop laughing ,of course shes not a ghost, seriously Im saying that because you and i believe robin is still very much alive but when you say ghost people think she is dead, anyway,is she really still taping ?that could be very interesting ,that means more robin time .

thats what I think to.general hospital is looking good again, and alot of the one life to live fans (thats me) are tuning in.robin is a part of that ,I am hoping she is still alive, charred body or not .but thanks to robert anna holly robin, and the mannings that is why the ratings went up.and I hope they go up higher ,general hospital has to be saved.

Robin has to be alive! She is still taping on set! I can’t believe she is only taping ghost stories!
IMO I think Robert goes looking for her, and he finds her and brings her back. This is soaps, she got out! lol

Of course she is only in their minds! She never stays long. Don’t ghosts stay longer? Either way, why is she still taping?? Certainly not for ghost stories.
I do know Tristin is here for a short time, but he has made it clear, he would come back. So I honestly don’t know what is going on. I do know, the new team is very mum with things. I like that.

As far as a hand goes, no I didn’t see anything strange. But I always miss alot too.

I think they should keep robert and anna and put sonny, the zacarras and maxie in a room and blow them up. Maxies characcter gets on my nerves and I’m sick of the godfather wannabes. Somebody please get rid of the mob! Hoping Robin will return someday.

some people enjoy the mob, all the show needed was balance and every soap has villians. I like that gh is different and MB is one of the most talented actors ever!

He may be good but Im sick of him running around killing everybody or causing deaths. He needs to go or wise up and stop the insanity!

he really hasnt killed many people thats the funny part, more people died from other non mob related deaths then there has been mob deaths.

I am very upset by the wrong exit the writers gave Robin. Even more upset by the title of this article, “robin fried” What is she? chicken? show some respect for her character and her life-long contribution to the show.

I think Robin’s death happened kind of quickly. I had expected it to be drawn out a bit more so that she and Anna would have more time to interact. But, I heard they had to move the storyline along in order to bring back Robert and Noah Drake to deal with the aftermath of her death. I hate that she wanted to leave the show because I loved her character and has watched her grow up on GH. I, like many others, think and hope that them not showing her body could mean a possible return of her one day. I just hope that ABC will let GH stay on the air long enough for us to find out!

Robins death was done unrealistically. Why in a hospital when sirens go off, don’t people come running? Why didn’t Patrick or the fireman take an ax to break thru the window. She could have been saved. In the REAL world that death couldn’t of happened like it did.

Again, Robin (Kim) is still on set taping. She hasn’t left the building so fast.

Good news. Hopefully the ratings will only continue going up from here. I’ve enjoyed GH more the past two weeks than I have in years.

aw nice to read a positive comment for a change! : )

I’ve watched soaps for over forty years and any time a body is not found or burned beyond recognition you can bet there’s a twist. Kimberly really is leaving acting to direct. Yet, if GH gets cancelled then that charred body will turn out to not be Robin. She can come back and reunite with her family before the show goes off the air. In that case where is she now? Faison has her.

two thumbs up!

I agree one hundred percent. Faison has Robin. They are talking too much about the body “burnt beyond recognition.” If they did not plan on bringing her back, we would have had to watch the heartbreaking scenes of Robert, Anna, and Patrick saying goodbye to her. Even knowing these facts, I have not cried while watching GH this much in years. Also, the ratings are up. AMEN.. I feel alot of it is because of the OLTL fans coming aboard now that their EP and HW are “in charge.” Which is FINE. Outstanding so far.

Of course Fiason has Robin!! She is still on set taping!

I will miss Robin but Kimberly made the decison to leave however the burned beyond recognition thing may be a way back in if things dont work out. I havent cried as much as I have these past two weeks while watching GH. I kove that theyre bringing back some old school characters (cant wait for Noah ) but I love Robert and Anna and the little Robin flashbacks. The funeral will be a 2 box of tissues affair ! As far as the new characters from the other soap? the jury is still out because I never watched it. Ive been watching GH since high school even if its been off and on. Id love to see the oldtimers stay for a little while but i doubt that will happen. I hope the new powers that be will listen to the fans and bring some good new plot twists .

Thank goodness the ratings for GH are improving. Perhaps if a character is mutilated and killed every week the ratings will skyrocket. It isn’t as if they will run out of characters because they can keep bringing them back from the dead.

I don’t believe Robin is dead. I have heard many theories to the contrary. I also heard Kimberly was still taping as of February 27th.

I don’t believe her talking to Jason, Patrick, and Robert is her ghost, but more like THEIR conscience or something to that effect.

I believe Robert will find her.

While, unfortunately, I still believe GH is being canceled just because ABC no longer wants it, I do not believe that the new writing team will let this be the end of Robin. I’m a sucker for happy endings so I hope that she is reunited with her loving family, but to be found alive would be enough for me.

Us fans have been fighting very hard to keep GH! And get back OLTL and AMC. I hope the ratings will keep going up. Fans need to stay united!
All the darkness on GH has been hard to watch on GH of late, yet some of the best acting of the actors has been outstanding!
I am also so sick of the mob crap…they need to move it more to the back burner!
I know Kim wanted to leave and go directing but even she was unhappy with the ending..she wanted it played out more. After all.. only Starr and John will be staying on GH.
I would really like some news on Kirsten Storms!

I’m glad to hear that GH rating went up !! Good News !! I have been watching for over 30 yrs now, I did not like how Robin left the show either, I also don’t like how the show has SO MANY s/l going on, One minute you are into a scene than BOOM there is another one, Robin was a vet on the show for so long, I think they should have done more for her exit, She deserves that !! More memories also with her family, Robert & Anna. I love seeing Robert & Anna & Holly back. Those were the days of GH !! They need to get back to the ROOT of GH !! I miss the Q’s also !! They are the bomb !! To me when I see the vets come & remember how awesome GH was, it breaks my heart to see what or who destroyed this wonderful show !! I hope RC & FV can do there magic with the show & to be the wonderful show like it use to be !! I never miss a day of GH !! I watch & DVR it everyday !! I as a GH fan will always watch it throught the good & bad !! That is a dedicated fan !! Loving my GH always !! 🙂

I’m with you MaryAnne, through the good & the bad. None of the abcsoaps have been my favorite over the other. It all depends on the storyline(s) of the moment. That’s why I am 1loveabcsoaps! Through the good & bad…!

Way to go GH!!! Let’s keep the numbers going up! After watching the full week I have to say with the exception of one storyline it was an “A” week! Agree with Michael about Finola’s performance and many more!!! Love to see them hitting it out of the park… we can only hope it is with us for many more years!!! Thank you FV and RC and the rest of the writing team and most of all to the best cast in daytime! Watch GH!!!

I am loving GH right now…been a long time since I’ve been glued. Although I think for Kimberly McCullough, Robin’s exit story line is ridiculous (and SO SAD that she’s leaving. I would have loved to have seen what the new writers and producers would have done with her character. I think she’s irreplaceable as Robin, having been the ONLY one to play her and been on for so so long I don’t want to see her recast)…I love the opportunity it has given to the actors such as Jason T, Sonya, Mac, Maxie, etc to really shine and show how great they are. AND it brought back Robert and Anna…I just hope they stay. I’m glad at least that they left it open for Robin to return by having her body burned beyond recognition…it’s a soap…anything can happen. As much as I am sad to see the end of Scrubs and hope that they don’t move Patrick on for a while…I am excited to see what’s to come with all of the characters for a change. I usually skip most but I will tune in for now! Great job GH!!

I am thankful to see the OLTL characters in GH! That is why the ratings went up as we all know. I am thinking that the reason the other stations went down is some of us tried to replace OLTL with them. I am thinking that when we get Nora on BB the ratings will increase also. I know that is what I am waiting for before I start watching it! Robin, well lets face it, this is not the first time she has left the show. They can always write her back in if she wants to come back in a few years. Anyways, GH has improved! They really should find a way to hire Kassie and Roger full time though!!! We need Todd and Blair and I cant wait for Michael Easton to make his appearance. I still want OLTL back as it did not deserve to be cancelled however I am thankful for Llanview showing up in Port Charles. GH has a bright future right now as far as I am concerned unless our pathetic ABC wants to drive that axe in our backs deeper! Shame on ABC and shame on Disney!! They disgust me!

I feel the same as you do,I would like to see several characters from one live to live go to general hospital ,Isnt it great that the ratings went up?It is so nice to visit port charles ,I havent felt that way for a long time,It has been a while since I look forward to watching general hospital again, cant wait till 3 oclock.

It is awesome the ratings went up! I really think they will continue to rise! Yes, something to look forward to again in the afternoons! I have been so lost without OLTL and admit that they are the reason I started watching GH again. I took a couple of years off of GH which at one time was my fav – I swear not much really changed since I left it! LOL!! So it is a blessing to have some of our OLTL people on it! Hope they all come!!

Cathy below @ March 3, 2012 at 4:25 pm, her family’s DVR is going to be included in the Nielsen rattings. U said that U never know of anyone…. Cathy below who wrote to Michael will be your first of knowing ” Of ” someone.

I’m happy GH rating is going up not just because of Robin’s storyline, but having Blair and Starr on the show. I just stared watching because of them and I hate hearing the GH fans complain, they will not take over the show and you would think they would be happy if it boosts the ratings. Doesn’t surprise me about Y&R it is boring and nothing happens, and the cast is getting too big. I think they should have killed Robin off in a different way through her having aides but this way it leaves room for her to come back, because we all know nobody dies on soaps.

I loved ILTL so I’m thrilled to see the Mannings again so please don’t think everyone isw complaining. I just wonder how long til they take off GH…

Happy to see the crossover OLTL to GH – makes it exciting and clearly has drawn in OLTL viewers which is terrific for GH. Robin’s death is open as others have said, this is a soap folks, burned bodies are never what they seem. IMO Kimberly wanted to leave and just as in any other job, when you give your notice, you go when the boss says so. You can;t write your own ticket in the real work world, so why should she have been able to here?

So happy to see Anna, Robert and Luke back and in a story line and hope it continues. All of Port Charles is in dire straits these days and all are great stories. LOVE Carly and Johnny who can single handedly bring back “love in the afternoon”. Also love the mob because they set GH apart fr om other soaps. Only thing is, Sonny and Jason are all talk no action, kind of wussy mobsters LOL.

Kelly Sullivan is awseome as crazy Kate/Connie/whoever and she and Maurice have great chemistry together.

GH is better than ever – like it was back in the early ’80’s which was the last time I cried about an episode

I was skeptical at first to having OLTL characters come over to GH but after the first few episodes…I see the potential for some great storylines! I think GH is headed in the right direction for the first time in many many many months. Oh…just saw on Daytime Confidential that Carolyn H is stating that GH is making headway in bringing back Kristina Wagner!!! This is awesome news! That means Frisco can’t be too far behind. Now if only Kristen Storms returns viewers can hopefully get the Jones family storyline they’ve been clammering for for years! I’m so stoked right now!!

The only reason GH ratings are going up is because of the OLTL characters coming over! It’s the last ABC soap & we miss OLTL so much we’ll watch GH!

Robnin’s leaving was unforgivable. No doctor would be that stupid. I’ve seen the handwriting on the Wall with GH when they took off AMC and OLTL. The ‘Powers that be’ would rather pay scab wages to produce garbage tv like Reality TV, than decent wages to real actors. I will miss them all when they6’re gone but I will NEVER watch reality tv. I wish all the actors well and a dond farewell…

Oh Michael, I thought you we better than the shoddy magazines with the “fried”comment.
To start let me say that I really doubt that OLTL had anything to do with ratings that week. OLTL characters weren’t on that week & it was announced weeks before they were coming & the ratings went no where.

I credit Robin’s death and people’s shock. Most still don’t believe it and are still watching thinking Robin is going to turn up. I have seen in one day over 3500 hits on a site sayng they couldn’t have done this. Some said they came back to GH but this is the last straw and are leaving immediately because how could they not respect Robin who grew up with most of us.Some are waiting first to see Robins/Kimberlys last day then they too are gone. People see the stunts with bringing vets back but FV & RC don’t realize that Robin interacted with most of the vets and seeing them reminds us of Robin. Most feel they lost a family member. It is things like this that writers thinking the are Godlike and insutling viewers which is why the genre is dying.
I doubt the ratings go up much after this because most people are smart enough to see that FV & RC had let Kimberly go 2 months earlier in order to give everyone else story and material & bring on OLTL people. KA from OLTL called FV to congratulate him & his response said you want to come with me., Must be nice hs thinks so highly of her and not of Kimberly/Robin.
Now to add more insult RC kept GW ridiculous writing of Robin asking someone to take her place. This ng Patrick on so soon is ridiculous & yet that is what he is doing. There goes more fans. My sisters & mom who watched thru everything said that is the last straw & GH will be coming off their DVR’s one of which will be involved in Nielsen ratings.

Sorry I hit the button too fast.

RC is already having Patrick move on and Robin JUST died. How insutling.OLTL and AMC had more respect for Kendall and Zack and Gigi and rex yet Robin a GH char for 25 years get disrespected. Just vile what was done to Robins exit about a hitman and the writers not caring about her. I never
believed Robin would do such a thing. & ask someone to take her place.
Robin is a Scorpio and would never have given up. Do they really think I am going to see Patrick with another let alone someone who couldn’t walk in Robin’s shoes take her place. Sorry Luckys ex is the last one I want with Robin’s daughter. What an insult. My mom and sisters are having a difficult time now watching because of what is to come with Patrick. We wanted to stay and hoped to see Patrick get a grieving period without anyone helping him and certainly not Luckys ex because GH keeps ttrying to tell me they are close and She was close with Robin when that never played on screen. Viewers can take so much and many had been lied to in the past. FV & RC are constantly giving Robin, Scrubs fans nothing to keep them watching but only insulting them as if Robin and Scrubs never existed,

PS not to bring others down but i watch ratings & the Chew and Revolution also went up a lot. Personally I rather see GH cancelled with respect and payoffs like OLTL got with GH people getting that. Kassie DePaiva said she was happy for OLTL coming to Gh for the fans deserved that. Well what about fans that grew up with Robin, they deserve better too.

Sometimes it is time to end something before it gets worse. GH has gotten the worst writers in the last years. They might have gotten OLTL up but that was when it was cancelled & I should know because my family and I watched all ABC and came back only when it ended

what episodes are you watching? i haven’t seen patrick move on, omg girl chill out, let the story play out. I hate that Kimberly left the show, but it was her decision. As for everyone flippin out over robin asking liz to be there for patrick an emma, why does everyone immediately assume she meant for them to “get together” as a couple? to me, Robin wanted someone to look out for the two people she loved the most, and she asked her dear friend. To me that made sense, I didn’t jump to the conclusion of them hooking up. It is possible for men and women to be dear friends and not ever hook up. The question is, can a soap writer tell that story and not be tempted to do the typical storyline of best friend hooking up w/ grieving husband. I guess we will have to wait and see, I hope they don’t think all fans want is people hooking up. We also want stories of Friendship.

Thank You Michael for taking the time to explain your words.

I was actually surprised because I know that you love Robin and I believe Kimberly as well, as she does you, from the interviews, I have seen.

For me, GH has been unkind, for lack of a better word, to Robin for a while now. Then I read your comment and I was like OMG has everyone lost it. LOL!

Thank you again, appreciate it

I was skeptical of bringing on OLTL characters to GH but after watching the first episodes with Starr and Blair…I’m sold! This only presents great new storylines for GH! Also just heard that Carolyn H is reporting that GH is very close to booking Kristina Wagner for a come back to GH. I’m so stoked! It shouldn’t be too long before we hear Jack/Frisco is on his way back. Now, let’s get Kristen Storms healthy and back on the set. Hopefully fans will get the Jones family storyline they’ve been longing for!! So excited to GH now!

I am happy for GH maybe that will help prove Frons was wrong that we wanted talk shows. Y&R is boring wash, rinse, repeat storylines. And B&B is making a big mistake by baseing the whole show on Steffy, Hope & Liam.

Great News for GH. I am happy for them and I wish Frank Valentini and Ron Carlivati all the best!

I can’t stand to miss a minute of GH ever since the new writers have taken over. And now, with the addition of the OLTL characters, it is like the whipped cream on my dessert! Everyone should tune in.

I agree watching the bold and beautiful is getting boring hope Steffens and Liam it’s all about general hospital I think president of abc paul lee will keep gh I have faith one thing I want gh to do is bring back Kristina Wagner she is a great actress and put Blair and Todd on contract which I feel like they would do after abc make their decision I think the revolution should go people I have heard that Katie couric wants gh to be her lead that’s fantastic news that means a 2pm slot lets keep our fingers crossed I believe god will put it through let’s be faithful new writers and producers it will really be good if gh bring viki Clint Natalie and Bo Monica and viki could be long time friends

I love the OLTL characters coming to Port Charles.I hope RH and KD stay long term but it doesn’t soundd like it.Howarth is my favorite character.I can see improvement already at GH/.The storylines aren’t dragging and Ron has wrapped up some of the more unpiopular ones.Give them credit the transition in writing has to be difficult.I love that the sets are brighter.TPTB really do need to listen when fans say they are sick of the mob.I would love to see Jason become Jason Quartermaine and I wish they hadn’t killed off Alan and AJ/Bring back Wally Kurth.Give the new writers and producers some slack they can’t change everything overnight.

thats what I say.ron and frank have alot of cleaning up to do in port charles and I am loving all the new changes ,and your right everything is lighter and not that dark mob stuff.I hope blair and todd come back soon ,to stay.

hey aria, agree with what you said about liz ,she went to see patrick because she is his and robins friend and robin only wanted her to be with them as a friend.he lost his wife that he loved ,hes not going to have a full blown romance with someone ,hello he just lost robin,at this time I dont see it.I will be pissed if the writers set him up with anyone at this time,Ive been there done that and thats the last thing on your mind take my word for it,everyone should leave liz alone.shes being called all these names and she just went to see patrick after learning of robins death ,that was the right thing to do,what was she suppose to do ? ignore what has happened ?aria, I tried to reply to you I couldnt find you,so i hope you are reading this .agree you can have friendships with out getting involved ,it happens.hey michael, how come some posts dont have reply on them?sometimes I have to go searching for the writer, and I dont want to go off subject, like 1loveabcsoaps says that I do all the time.

How about this explanation? Helena needs a personal doc, she kidnaps Robin and the body that is burnt is Cassandra!!!!!
Also I do believe the ratings are up as a result of the returning characaters.

nice,I like it ,anything is better then robin being dead.ok now thats 3 ideas yours, mine, she bumped her head because of the explosion and took off not knowing who she is ,and uh oh ,I forgot who said this but ,fiason has her ,I think debi did.

My worst fear is that chick isn’t really dead.

I love Robin. I have loved every pairing Stone, Jason and Patrick. I am thankful that the body cannot be positively identified as Robin’s because I hope that someday she will return. I have watched her since she and I were both children. I cannot watch Patrick and Emma with any other woman. I won’t. There are characters that have your loyalty and Robin’s character is mine. I have loved her, gotten annoyed with her and supported her. Regardless, I have been loyal to her. She feels like a friend and I will miss her.

Stupid and disrespectful title for a lengendary character ( ROBIN SCORPIO ) and a brillant beautiful talented actress, Miss Kimberly McCullough. GH is dead to me and so is your writing.

Glad to see that Robin isn’t dead.
