Here a look below at the scorecard courtesy of TV Media Insights who each week had been following the progression of Oprah’s airing of the first 40 new episodes of each show.   Now remember this week, OWN changed the programming schedule so that One Life to Live airs directly after All My Children.

This is so great

Fantastic. It is going to happy Dinah. I have a feeling we the fans will get our wish soon, and that is that Oprah will be picking all new episodes of both soaps.

Ohhhh I hope OWN will bring AMC and OLTL back for good. I have been lost. Without my shows!!! No PC at home just satellite tv- OWN keeping them for good is my best
Chance to watch! !!! Please Oprah! !! Please Oprah! !!!

Im sure there are a lot of people out there who would watch but dont even know its on OWN. It should air repeats in the evening for those who cant watch in daytime. More adds too…both shows should be advertised during OWNs more popular shows.

I am so excited in these numbers. I currently watch the new shows on Huluplus and thoroughly enjoying both soaps. I have a gut feeling that OWN is going to pick up the new episodes. That would make a lot of viewers happy including myself to have them back on TV. Eat your words Oprah!

I know a lot of people that would watch if it was on in the evenings, all the soapnet watchers said they would watch it at night.

Taking into consideration that the 2 soaps are re-runs, they are doing much better than I personally expected..
I am one that does not watch re-runs..
When I have seen a show and know what will happen, where and when it will happen, and the outcome, I find no interest in watching a re-run..
I am joyed to see the 2 soaps doing extraordinarily well!!!!!!! 🙂
I see long future for both the soaps, and that is a good thing!..

See Oprah, you were wrong.. Soaps Still Matter..

I agree Jewell!

You are so right Jewell. I have a feeling we will be getting good news soon; that is Oprah will carry the new shows. Keep watching fans.

I agree with Jewell also!

Congratulations fans! We are proving to Oprah that soaps still matter. I love how Prospect Park has made the soaps realistic and up to date with this century if I may call it that. My gut is that after the summer fling Oprah is going to cut a deal and start carrying the AMC & OLTL. I believe this to be true because why else would she run the re-runs. My thought is that she sees that Tyler Perry’s soap The Haves and Have Knots are doing great in ratings and Dallas returned to TNT with great ratings. So Oprah eat your words and apologize to the fans that you were wrong.

i can’t get OWN on my TV 🙁 so i keep watching it on Hulu thanks PP 🙂

I dont think these ratings are very remarkable at OWN. Still think that the shows would be better placed at 7pm or later in the evening on cable.

Lack of ads reminding viewers of day and time and channel – is a hardship. And ever changing scheduling and # of episodes.

It all seems very uncertain. Hoping for best. I am watching OLTL new epis on Hulu.

The ratings are very good considering the 40 episodes are ”reruns”
The ones watching the reruns would mainly be fans who have fallen behind and new viewers..
The soaps/reruns, are doing well on OWN .. 🙂

Is it enough for her?

Wish they weren’t having a break.I been tunning in everyday for ratings hoping for a network.A network means better shows. But there is no advertising on major networks where people mainly watch who have no clue these soaps are on.with the season ending really don’t need that.PP needs to be able to produce more shows.People are not happy…

I am very happy..
And a network does not mean better shows lol ..
TRON is a production network..
The soaps would be exactly as they are now, produced, written and filmed in the PP studios.

(the soaps are doing very well, and are a product of the internet 🙂

Don’t get me wrong – I love my soaps. Have for 30+ years. But there’s no way on Earth I would support Oprah, her network, or the soaps airing exclusively on her network (if that’s where this is heading). I would stop watching the shows I love so much if that happens. And coming from me, that’s really saying something. I seriously don’t understand how anyone could support Oprah after she was given the opportunity to save our shows with OWN back in 2011 and she said NO. She said soaps were a dead genre, so why should we allow those same soaps to save her failing network?? That’s just hypocritical. She didn’t want to help me, so I sure as heck ain’t gonna help her!

So because you’re angry at her because she didn’t take on the MASSIVE task of the production of these shows, so you’re willing to just let them go completely? I find that pretty childish actually. She was wrong then…so let’s punish her forever and screw EVERYBODY now., eh? ::tsk, tsk.:: 🙁 Personally, I’m very glad the shows are on OWN, because that allows my 79 year old mother to have a chance to actually watch these shows that she loves so much, and I don’t want her to lose them again just because you’re pissed off about the past. I find that pretty damn selfish, actually.

We have to remember cOprah was using Discovery’s money and just now making a profit where she is now paying them back for debt she owes them.Another Nielsen said the genre was dying. No one wanted them. Many were ask.ABC is the reason they where cancelled.I watch GH everyday on ABC.Thats all I watch.Only to back the soap genre.I watch AMC and OLTL on Own only to back the soap genre.I do this to prove the genre isn’t dying.Even though they have raised with Nielsen I still believe more then 2.5 million people are watching GH.Bad thing is Nielsen has the say.I didn’t like she turned them down but I will back them no matter where they are at.Oprah will survive regardless if they make it or not.We need a network. To many without internet cannot see them.It also means higher revenue and that can only mean better shows and hopefully more coming back.

I hate to say it, but I must agree with you. I hate the fact that Oprah talked down to us, the soap fans, she did it in a very condescending way. I think most people did not have a problem with her saying no to us, but rather the WAY she said no. Since then, I stopped watching Oprah, and obviously I was not alone as her ratings have been terrible. With all that said, I love AMC and OLTL much more than I dislike Oprah. And if I have to watch OWN to see AMC and OLTL, then so be it! I am a true fan of these soaps and will watch them on any channel to support them! And that should be the mindset of all of the fans of AMC and OLTL! Everyone says that the ratings are great to be reruns. And while I certainly agree with that statement, I still think that the ratings are higher than what is being told. Once again, how are these ratings being tabulated? By Neilson? And if so, here we go again! I have not heard of any soap fan being a Neilson viewer. And I also think that many fans still are not aware that they are on OWN. It would be great if some advertising could be done. But anyway, I beg all fans of AMC and OLTL to please watch these soaps on OWN, regardless of how you feel about OPRAH! Like me, let your love for these soaps be greater than your dislike of Oprah!

Well said Lynda W.It isn’t Oprah we are backing its our soaps. She really doesn’t have anything on i’m interested in watching.Way before she turned them down I just didn’t like her shows. So I just DVR the soaps like I do GH on ABC and no other reason do I turn either network on.Just to back my soaps…

For those interested in how well each episode is doing with all the individual airings added together, here’s my “Adjusted Ratings Chart”. When the total airings of each episode are added together in this manner, these may not represent unique viewers as some of them may have watched a particular episode more than once but they still all represent viewers that were tuned in to the station during a broadcast and saw the ads shown during each one:

AMC:
Episode 9 (repeat): 49,000 viewers (one airing) (Total: 352,000/four airings)
Episode 10 (repeat): 112,000 viewers (two airings) (Total: 418,000/four airings)
Episode 11: 423,000 viewers (five airings)
Episode 12: 461,000 viewers (five airings)
Episode 13: 374,000 viewers (four airings)
Episode 14: 305,000 viewers (three airings)

OLTL:
Episode 9 (repeat): 56,000 viewers (one airing) (Total: 462,000/four airings)
Episode 10 (repeat): 110,000 viewers (two airings) (Total: 383,000/four airings)
Episode 11: 333,000 viewers (five airings)
Episode 12: 358,000 viewers (five airings)
Episode 13: 328,000 viewers (four airings)
Episode 14: 274,000 viewers (three airings)

Well, pending any further schedule changes or upcoming marathons, looks like this will be my last Adjusted Ratings Chart. Will be very interesting to see if next week, the numbers trend more like this chart or if they still are comparable to the first-run episode’s so far.

I think the ratings for both soaps on OWN would be much higher if more people were able to get OWN. I know folks who have cable but they would have to pay extra money to pick up the Soaps. I don’t think these shows should be considered like the HBO’s, Cinamax, Showtime. This show should be on regular cable and I know more people would watch the show. My mom loves both of these soaps but her cable network wants her to pay extra to watch OWN as well other channels and for what we pay for cable it should be included and not an extra expense. Thank you!

I’m happy for the ratings especially for summer viewing and re-runs.
I watch AMC on ITunes. I would be viewing on OWM if OWN Canada would pick it up. It would be nice to have both options to view.

Love OLTL on HuluPLus AND OWN.

Oprah gotta pay her bills too – so this may help!

OWN has made it impossible to know what episode to watch of AMC or OLTL. They come on 3 episodes in a row, most are repeats, and trying to DVR them doesn’t even work. Only one will DVR. I honestly have had it trying to see them in order. No where does it list any list of times to see the new ones, and OWN has done a terrible job of organizing these shows. That is why the numbers are not better.

I still watch the OLTL &AMC on hulu.com..

Jeffrey on OLTL has that tatto on the bottom of his foot…Is a trader or not? Is he putting one over on Viki at the paper? I wonder what he is up too? No good?

I WOULD NEVER SUPPORT ANYTHING THAT HAS ANYTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH OPRAH. PERIOD!!!

Sorry to hear that. There are a lot of people behind the scenes who would wish that you would check it out for the shows, not the network it appears on. It’s only there livelihood, after all.

I am sorry to here you feel this way about Oprah. There are so many that hold a grudge because she did no pick them up previously but you know she is a business woman and I believe she realizes she made a mistake or she would not be running the first 40 episodes for the summer. Trust me there is a reason for this. I honestly believe OWN will be picking up the 2nd season and that could not make us fans happier. I have watched both revived soaps faithfully on huluplus and thoroughly enjoyed them. Please support our soaps if you are a fan and if not please keep your negative comments to yourself and that is no disrespect to you.

i like the time all my children 1:00 oclock and oltl at 1:30 and general hospital follow i get a chance to watch all three. keep them running oprah i have to record but watch them when i get home. good work oprah. thank you.
Helen mason

keep supporting OWN. keep in mind that all of your hard-earned dollars are going to contribute to the OW fund to buy $38,000 handbags. such fools. why don’t you just get HULU Plus. what is the big whoop about OWN prey tell?

just scrolled ‘up’ and read some of your comments. amazing! so many of you dislike Oprah and for good reason, not flip reasons, and yet you pay to watch OWN. Don’t you know that your wallet does the talking. what is wrong with HULU and the others that play the 2 soaps. why are you going to support someone you don’t like, who lives the way you never will (which is fine for her) only to be recognized when the $$$’s start to show. it amazes me. use your heads. I’m fine with HULU and the others. my provider charges for OWN and it would never occur to me to subscribe. I detest the woman and would never support anything she does. let her go elsewhere for her funds. I work too hard for my money to throw it away on someone I do not like (who basically thumbed her nose at us) or something I do not like. In my book I believe that is what you would call smart and cost effective.

Jas, you asked, “why would you support someone who lives the way you never will”? Well, then that would be many, many, many more besides Oprah. I watch Dr. Phil, Modern Family, Scandal, OLTL, AMC, General Hospital, Law & Order, Jimmy Fallon, Greys Anatomy, The Middle, Two & A Half Men, etc. And every single one of those shows have people on them that live a life that I never will! Everyone on TV basically lives a life that I never will. So are people supposed to not watch or support the shows or those people on the shows, because they will never live a life like the celebrities/stars? Also, not sure if you read my comments a little ways above, but I stated that if people are really fans of OLTL & AMC, they should put aside their dislike for Oprah, as their love for these soaps should be greater! You ask why does anyone want to watch them on OWN instead of on HULU? Many reasons. First off, they belong back on TV. Also, many people like myself can never watch a single episode without my PC freezing up, or it stops constantly as it is BUFFERING, and most times the sound and what they are doing is not matching up. Also, I hate watching it on my little laptop screen. Again, I am no fan of Oprah, but to get these soaps back on TV where they belong, I will watch any channel to make that happen. Also, keep this in mind. The more people that watch the soaps on OWN, and the numbers keep on increasing, we the fans that Oprah snubbed will have the last laugh, as we will be able to say, “TOLD YOU SO”! I can’t think of a better way to get even with Oprah, than to make her eat her words! I hope you will keep an open mind to what I have said, and support the soaps that are being shown on OWN. You don’t have to watch any other programs on OWN. We are supporting AMC & OLTL not OWN or Oprah. I certainly respect how you feel about Oprah, and I feel the same way actually.

Well Lynda W, you have definitely taken clueless to a whole new level. Go ahead and throw your money away. Obviously, you enjoy doing that and probably complain later that you don’t have enough money for other things. Or, another thing you probably aren’t even aware of, is that investing some money in something that will enhance your future financially is far more beneficial. So go ahead and support Oprah. Not to mention that the point of my story was NOT about people who have more than I do or live greater than I do. My point, again, which you seem not to get, is why support someone who clearly didn’t support you from the git go. OWN is the only one who profits here and you will ultimately be held captive by how much you pay for OWN, when the programs are aired, how much of a hiatus will be taken, etc. The other stations offer much more for much less. I will not contribute hard-earned money to OWN, plain and simple. You will not gain more from OWN, probably less.

I am SO happy that my beloved AMC and ONTL are back on “tv”!!

BUT, I am really sad that I missed the first few weeks!! I didn’t even know these soaps were coming back to tv. ?? Where was (is) the advertising??? The news should have been advertised on other cable channels, as well as on OWN. Actually, I never watch OWN. I only caught wind of the soaps airing because I happened to see them on the tv guide channel accidentally.

I hope Oprah is going to keep these two soaps on permanently!!
ABC made such a huge mistake when they cut them. I’m sure the replacement shows (Chow something or other?? and the other show??) are HUGE fails, but I doubt ABC would ever admit it.

*does happy dance that the 2 BEST soaps everrrrrrrrr, are back on!!! YAY!!*

Why do people keep telling Oprah to apologize for not wanting to originally save Soap Operas? SHE IS SHOWING our shows now. No, she didn’t want to be responsible for saving soaps and producing them. There were lots of risk and minimal reward if it failed. But, she is graciously purchasing and giving airtime on her network for the fans. Instead of eat it , I say THANK YOU!!!

I have been watching these shows since inception. My “relationship” with them lasted longer than my 2 marriages… lol.. I was so happy to see they came back on TELEVISION. It’s just not the same watching from a laptop or online. PLEASE keep these two shows on OWN. thanks Oprah for your smart thinking :).

More advertisement is needed. I just found out that Own picked up the series. Since it is no longer offered on one if the free local channels you’re bound to lose alot of viewers but for those withe a cable or satellite provider we just need to know what network will air our favorite show as well as the days and time the series airs. Im a huge fan and I will oder OWN on my network provider just to watch All My Children.

This week began and as reported with a spotlight article on Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos and how their production entity, Milojo, has been teeing up the All My Children reboot with Lifetime.

The L.A. Times featured the married couple, co-hosts of Live with Kelly and Mark, and former All My Children cast members (where they met and fell in love) about their plans to bring two All My Children movies to Lifetime and how they are working with the Agnes Nixon estate to make it come to fruition,

On Wednesday, it was revealed by Daytime Confidential, that All My Children reboot producer, Andrew Stearn handpicked none other than Ron Carlivati (ex-head writer, One Life to Live, General Hospital and Days of our Lives) and Jamey Giddens (who is the new co-head writer of The Young and the Restless, following his tenures on the writing teams of Beyond the Gates and Days of Our Lives), as the two scribes who will bring the first of two of Kelly and Mark’s All My Children movies to the page.

RON CARLIVATI AND JAMEY GIDDENS CONFIRM THEIR BOARDING THE ALL MY CHILDREN MOVIE PROJECT

The second installment is said to be written by primetime writer Leo Richardson whose credits include: Star, Katy Keene and more recently the Penn Badgley (ex-Phillip Chancellor IV, The Young and the Restless) starring series, You.

Richardson also wrote for three years on the U.K.’s long-running soap, EastEnders. All My Children revival fans will recall Richardson’s name was attached as the writer for the first incarnation of the All My Children movies, entitled, Pine Valley.

Ron Carlivati took to X and confirmed he is indeed boarding the All My Children movie project. Carlivati shared, “So excited to share this news! Thanks to Andrew Stearn, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, Albert Bianchini and the Agnes Nixon estate for entrusting Jamey Giddens and me with the first of two planned All My Children movies for Lifetime! Stay tuned!”

Jamey Giddens confirmed DC’s announcement by taking to his account on X and expressing, “I’ve been booked and busy in 2026. Thanks to Andrew Stearn, the Agnes Nixon estate, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos for entrusting Ron Carlivati, and me with the first of two planned All My Children movies for Lifetime!”

Some fans seemed to question how Giddens could be writing for the first All My Children movie at Lifetime, when he is the new co-head writer at The Young and the Restless with Dan O’Connor. Jamey answered that head on via X and explained, “We turned in our All My Children script months ago. My sole focus as of this past Monday, is Genoa City, Wisconsin! #YR”

ERICA KANE, MARIA SANTOS AND HAYLEY AND MATEO SANTOS TO APPEAR IN THE ALL MY CHILDREN MOVIE REVIVAL?

In the planned stories, Susan Lucci’s Erica Kane and Eva LaRue’s Maria Santos will be two characters whose lives we will get to see for the first time since the series was canceled by ABC back in 2011 after 41 years on the air. As well, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos confirmed they will make brief appearances on-screen; one could assume as Hayley and Mateo Santos.

“It’d be wonderful to give the fans something that they’ve been yearning for so many years,” shared Mark Consuelos to the LA Times. “All My Children gave me my family. I met my wife there. It gave me my start in the business. It gave us so much. It would be a dream to be able to give back.”

So, what do you think of Ron Carlivati and Jamey Giddens getting nod to write the All My Children movie #1 script and Leo Richardson #2? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

‘All My Children’ Revival Updates: Lifetime EVP Speaks on Why Proposed Movies are Great Fit, Mark Consuelos Wants To ‘Give Back’ to Fans

Published

The All My Children revival via movies at Lifetime is still in the works from former series stars and marrieds, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, through their production company, Milojo.

The co-hosts of Live with Kelly and Mark were featured this week in a Los Angeles Times article which detailed their efforts to bring some of the citizens of Pine Valley back to your screens.

As previously reported, and reaffirmed by the L.A. Times, the All My Children movies will be set in the present day and focus on what beloved characters such as Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) and Maria Santos Gray (Eva LaRue) are doing now. In addition, Kelly Ripa confirmed that she and Mark Consuelos will also appear on screen briefly most likely appearing in their signature soap roles as Hayley and Mateo Santos.

ALL MY CHILDREN MOVIES BRING NOSTALGIA THAT CAN BE MADE TO FEEL NEW AGAIN

Elaine Frontain Bryant, executive vice president and head of programming for A&E, Lifetime, and Lifetime Movie Network said of the All My Children reboot, “Lifetime is always interested in shows that kind of tap into a powerful nostalgia that can be made fresh for today’s audience. There’s a whole generation of women that have missed these stories and these characters.”

As for working with Kelly and Mark on the Lifetime movie versions of the soap, “They’re exactly the kind of partners you want at a brand,” expressed Bryant. “They’re trusted voices because every day they’re talking to their audience, which, a lot of times, is our audience. They bring a real credibility and have an authentic point of view. You meet Kelly and Mark and kind of what you see is what you get, and I think they bring that same authenticity to their development standards.”

Albert Bianchini, executive producer for Milojo, says he knows All My Children is so wildly popular with the fans of daytime. That was punctuated when seeing it in person, and how the energy was off the charts back in January of 2025 when Kelly participated along with Susan Lucci, former head writer, Lorraine Broderick and casting director, Judy Blye Wilson in a conversation with Andy Cohen at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.

“I’ve never seen a crowd like that in my life. People were lined up around the block, recalled the Bianchini.  “Everyone wanted to know, ‘When is (All My Children) coming back? We want more.’  We got to see that in real life and Kelly got to feel it in real life, and it made so much sense. I just know that the minute it gets out in the world, people will want more and more and more. There’s just a love there.”

Kelly Ripa added that they are, “working closely with Bob and Sarah Nixon, who are also serving as producers.” She recalled, “She (Agnes Nixon) was so far ahead of her time. She covered topics that weren’t being covered. It was extraordinary the audiences that the show drew, and she served them real stories that were affecting Americans across the country but weren’t necessarily being represented anywhere.”

“It’d be wonderful to give the fans something that they’ve been yearning for so many years,” shared Mark Consuelos. “All My Children gave me my family. I met my wife there. It gave me my start in the business. It gave us so much. It would be a dream to be able to give back.”

THE CANCELLATION AND STOPS AND STARTS OF ALL MY CHILDREN REBOOTS

All My Children aired on ABC from 1970 to 2011. It got a second chance at life when Prospect Park resurrected the show and brought it to The OnLine Network and Hulu for one season in 2013.

Recently, the series made a return through the estate of Agnes Nixon and is streaming internationally on BEONDTV and through their partnership with PlutoTV Canada with episodes starting in 1995. Fans hope original episodes will some day soon be available in the U.S. as well, but that could prove more difficult since ABC owns the rights to the episodes stateside.

Now 13 years later, while there is no word yet on a definitive production start date to the two movies at Lifetime, all the people involved seemed determined to make it come to life.

So, what do you think of the executive vice-president of Lifetime and LMN being enthusiastic about Kelly and Mark’s All My Children movie revivals? Are you wanting to see this come to fruition? Kelly and Mark seem to have made this a very high priority.  Do you hope that by 2027 we might be able to get this to the finish the line and into production? Weigh-in via the comment section.

Published

By

Starting on May 1, All My Children fans in Canada will be able to see classic episodes of the beloved former ABC soap opera when they stream on Pluto TV Canada.

Pluto TV picked-up the All My Children Channel that the Nixon family has created in partnership with BEONDTV +. The show which aired for 41 years on ABC and ended on the network in 2011, had so many memorable storylines and characters; the least of which is the enduring run of Erica Kane played by soap icon, Susan Lucci.

As previously reported, starting with episodes from the year 1995, which was the 25th anniversary of the soap. Pluto TV Canada viewers will be able to catch 8 episodes on repeat per day. With the success of the venture, the Nixons are hopeful that they will bring viewers many more years of the show to come.
