Rebecca Herbst Back To Work At GH Filming New Episodes!

After the contract talks that were widely publicized, and that could have had the very popular Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth) leaving General Hospital, all’s well that ends well.
Herbst signed back on the dotted line with the ABC daytime drama series and because negotiations went down to the wire, she had to be written out for a bit.
But now, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Herbst is back at work taping new episodes at GH! In fact, her first airdate will be May 4th.
So with this new contract, do you hope Elizabeth gets continually closer to Franco (Roger Howarth)? Another man? Or, ultimately ends up back with Jason (Billy Miller)?
Would you like to see Liz not involved in a romantic story, but more involved in a medical drama on GH? And the jury is out to see the new little Jake when Rebecca shares scenes with Hudson West (Jake) when he makes his debut very shortly.
I hope Liz takes out Sam ..

She withheld his identity from him, but knowing who he is never meant remembering. And as we saw, even after he found out who he was, he still chose to be with her. Furthermore, the character of Jason has had some form of amnesia since the 90’s, so, again please don’t throw that word around so ignorantly.

Nina has found meaning in life, after a forced coma by her vicious mother; a job which gives her some fulfillment; but, ’tis not serendipity….she wants a man who meets her wants. The gods are against her everywhichway. What to do? Let Franco go. As I said before, the thrill is gone for me.

And the thrill was never there for me, CeeCeeGirl! As you already know, most of the new characters of the past few years have done absolutely nothing to interest me, but I dare say Nina was one of the very worst creations (along with “Sabs,” of course….) She was poorly drawn and introduced, extremely unlikeable and to this day, still has no real place on the canvas….everything about her is sooo contrived, and were she to leave tomorrow, I cannot see how this character would be missed. The baby thing has especially gone too far….they need to just say, point blank, ain’t gonna happen, period, and move on from that notion. And whilst I was initially on board with Kiki being a Nina offspring, I’m now against that idea….it’s a concept which has outlived its usefulness, and with HE’s Kiki finally coming into her own, I don’t want to see her burdened with that loon as a mother….as if Ava isn’t bad enough! LOL. Quite frankly, I’d choose to send off Nina and her cash somewhere far, far away to run an orphanage in say, Africa or China, and then she can be up to her elbows in babies. That would be a win-win situation for both this character and GH. As for Franco? I think he has great chemistry with Liz, but it would seem—much to my chagrin—that we’re going to be in for another round of “Ric n Roll” with Nurse Webber….Sonny’s slimy bro is someone who turns up in Port Charles more often than a bad penny! Not again! Sigh….

Liz needs to head to the police and finally tell all about the kidnapping and the terrorist gunmen. Let it all come out in the open–when Jason gets back -not while he is gone so the con can’t cover it up again like the last time. For me, Nina and Franco are another instant couple who lack romance. I don’t know if it’s because these two actors have no chemistry or if they writing afforded to them has just been poor. I suspect it’s both of the aforementioned.
agree Harry, Nina & Franco have zero chemistry. I also don’t like how crazy she acts/looks when she’s with him. At Crimson she seems a bit more normal and when she’s with Franco, Michelle Stafford turns on the crazy.
It isn’t Nina, my dear, Harry…..she’s all dimples and ready to arduously attack life. But, Franco’s lackadsical approach to making life with Nina work, is turning me off.
I love Roger and I love Michelle, Harry. They are two very talented thespians….but, this couple has been in limbo for a while, now.
Watching their scenes is starting to become a laborious process….As is Finn’s gigantor syringe; as are Sam’s and Jason’s bland conversations. And, if I hear the name ‘Claudette’ one more time……Sacrebleu!!

@Harry…..Probably a lot of both! Nina and Franco have always had a “yuck factor” with a capital “Y!” Those two are just too “crazycakes” for me….it’s only when RoHo is away from her that he is normlized and I can stand his presence…whether it be with Liz, Dr. O, or Kiki…..I’d still love to see him end up being the latter’s real father. With all the lies Ava spins, anything is possible. However, that’s the only paternity I’d care to assign to him….no more of all that baby nonsense with Nina….especially a “miraculous conception!”
First, Franco should have stayed dead when James Franco portrayed him. Roger Howarth should have been a Cassadine. Secondly, Michele would have been in heaven if she were on Y&R right now involved in the Passkey story. THIS Nina character NEVER has improved!
Franco and Nina are great together – Of course Roger is great no matter what ..They have seemed to hit their nitch together and are hot in the romantic – rather than porn way.
Franco and Liz being close “friends” would be great for her and Jake. Jake likes him and trusts him more than he does Jason. Wonder why? Franco is good for Liz too cause he doesn’t judge..like the other fake “innocents” in town do. He makes her see how strong she really is.
Sorry but there is no such thing as a romantic storylines in daytime anymore-GH just showing Sam/Jason or Maxie/Nathan in bed talking is not romantic but makes me fell like i have experienced jet lag and i dont even fly-bedroom scenes are just bedroom scenes that fill like filler moments than anything else…i remember when couples would slow dance in candelight…how about Bill and Tess of Love Of Life-him playing the guitar and singing and Tess joining in not necessarily a romantic scene but it still felt romantic…On Days Julie plays a record…does a little dance number then innocently kisses Doug-a nice and beautiful romantic moment…Jeff playing and singing a song for Penny on ATWT-another moment i find romantic- On Dark Shadows vampire Barnabas Collins biting Maggie Evans neck or Victoria Winters-more romantic than anything going on in current soaps-lol-i could go on but why-daytime soaps are more about action or couples exchanging saliva than being romantic- and thats the sad truth!!!
JimL…Know how you feel about the build-up in romance. Maybe not your kind of station, and not mine most of the time, but sometimes I’ll watch a movie on the Woman’s Channel for this kind of story.
Actually-not really but i have watched a few once in awhile…guys need a little romantic and tender moments too-had Nik and Hayden had a knife fight in bed and stabbed each other in the heart that might have helped-lol

L&L were a great couple because their whole love story was of very high intruge, death defying adventurers, fighting villains, surviving together, that is what made them a great couple- their love adventure..
I FF through most of GH.. the couples are horribly blah and I need to FF not to wast my viewing time..

I agree–there is no romance left and daytime. There is no excitement, no build up, no conflict, no tension finalized by a delightful resolution. What we get are instant couples–just add water.
I get that there are budgetary issues, but how is the failure to write good romance saving anyone money? Good romantic storylines do not necessarily need to go on location, they just need some good and solid writing.

The porn that was just shown here lately was just disgusting..and not even done well for that. It was more of a photo shoot for an upcoming porn movie that real love. Anger sex is not something we want to see.If you have to get it out of your system cause you tried to kill someone- go work it out at the gym…it’s better for you than that stuff was.A woman anxious to jump in bed with a man who was so out of control a few minutes before and tried to kill a member of your family

The scene, and the one before with Hayden (I don’t see her as Rachel no matter how many times they repeat it, though that’s hilarious too!) cleaning Nic’s wounds was poignant and then sadly funny as they depicted a couple still very attracted to each other, still in love with each other, yet enemies who don’t trust each other with their lives. Could be an interesting arc if they had more time but we know their story will unravel in snippets due to time, budget and simultaneous stories …

Glad she’s back full time, hope she develops a friendship with Franco , Jason shouldn’t so easily just gotten over Liz so he should be the one doing some drooling around her and yes she needs someone new with no baggage like griffin.

I do know that I liked Jason with Liz a lot better than with Sam. There is nothing to the Sam’s and Jason’s ‘let’s get a divorce and go backwards’ story. They occupy themselves with a little love in his 2X4 apartment…mumble to themselves; then go out and follow clues. I hope they do go on this trip together….and find themselves??

I do not like this character too much any more. But, I do love Michelle. This role should have never been given to her. Michelle has been ‘stigmatized’, as it were….LOL.

As for myself? I would accept her redemption anytime, once the notion of this baby fantasy is eradicate from Nina’s head ( meaning the writers). It should have never been introduced.

CeeCee…generally It seems the writers have had a hard time giving fan-favorite actors from other soaps comparable roles on GH that have traction and highlight their strengths…like Roger, Michelle, Rebecca. Hopefully the third time is the charm for Michael/Finn.
Thank god she’ll be back soon! GH really hasn’t been feeling like my soap without her! I hope Liz stays strong as doesn’t jump into a new relationship right away but figured out Jake’s secret and has lots of scenes with Franco & Jason! She is a chem magnet and can energize so many stories!

Love or hate Elizabeth Webber, SHE has been the sole constant in Cam, Jake and Aiden’s life, has a steady job as a nurse since 20024 and pays the BILLS that take care of 3 boys. Lucky and his “darkness” can sit and spin!
Liz and her children need to stay away from whoever this character is now. He is NOT Jason, he is NOT Jake Doe, he is someone to be avoided.

Lucky is the worst thing that has ever happened to Liz. It was always all about what he needed….saving Lucky from himself. Liz has wasted a lifetime going back to that loser. I would never wish him on her again. They were toxic and Lucky usually treated her like crap anyway, especially when times got tough.
Did you think Sam should stay far away from him too after what she did? Because it was far worse than what Liz did. I don’t care if Sam saved Jake. You don’t forget something like that when kids are targeted specifically. Liz saved Sam from the Russian’s too. Does she get a pass now?

Jake Doe was more of a dad to the children than Jason is to his own son…who is injured and needs him.
Love that Becky will finally be back on screen. I am really looking forward to more of her and Franco. Truly intrigued by them. I hope they continue to build their friendship and maybe more. Roger and Becky are fabulous together.
I am already missing Liz and can’t wait until she returns. In terms of going forward, I’m very interested in seeing a quiet friendship grow between Franco and Elizabeth as they bond over dealing with Jake’s trauma. Franco and Liz scenes are so engaging, I want to see more. If they were to go romantic down the road, I’d be super excited. Something fresh, new and totally unexpected!
I do not want her in Jasam’s orbit. Her scenes are infinitely better w/out them.
I’d like to see her continue to mix it up with the hospital side of the canvas, especially her new friendship with Franco. They have become my favourite part of GH, and I’ve been missing them like crazy. Also would like to see her to find out what happened to Jake on CI since she’s clearly the only parent who cares – last time she was with Jake’s father, she gave him the book to further look into and, as always, he hasn’t done a damn thing.
More than anything I’m just glad Beck/Liz are here to stay and I can’t wait to see her back on my screen.

I wish it would be sooner than May 4, but so glad Liz will be back on my screen! Missed her. I definitely want Liz in a hospital story and in a romance as well as find out what happened to Jake on Cassadine Island. I love Liz and Franco friendship and chemistry so yeah, I am open to more developing with them. The writers have done a fabulous job with the Franco writing. He is working at the hospital as the art therapist. He cares about patients, Jake being one of them. Franco is great with Jake but he also realistically realizes, because of his past, that having his own children is not a great idea. He has shown alot of growth lately. I really hope Liz and Franco are what the writers pursue. Did I mention I love Friz chemistry? 🙂

This is not the man she should be with. She is much too good for the character he is now. This is someone who deserves someone like sam..not a good woman like Liz.

The old “tumor” defense used to keep an character/actor on screen when it makes absolutely no sense. RoHo could have been cast as any viable GH character from the show’s 53 year history and RC/FV settled on a serial killer that uses RAPE as a weapon!
Happy to have Liz back, but I don’t see her as sweet, nice, nurse Liz. She’s got a lot of repentance to do. So I’m not able to give her a free pass and a new guy, etc. as if nothing had happened after all the lies she told for over a year about Jake/Jason.
You may not like Sam, but Liz and Nik did keep this info away from Sam and Danny for over a year. Then there was also Jake/Jason, Monica, and little Jake. And “Oh,” let’s not forget she knew Nik had Hayden shot to keep her quiet. If it’s some other actor, not as well liked, we would want their head.
I really think since Kevin is back for Laura (I’m really liking the potential here) as a “cryptologist”,” Liz should have sessions with him to find out why she is such a train wreck when it comes to men, and why she would ever keep up the deceptions to keep Jason. And it certainly hasn’t helped her mother of the year role, or the mental health of her “boys” or little Jake. Definitely not her finest moments if we want her to move on into a more productive life.
for one thing Liz did not keep Sam from Jason for over a year. She kept him away for about 7 months. She didn’t know who he was the first 6 months. Nik knew a few months after he arrived but even Nik didn’t keep him from Sam over a year. At least get the time frame right. As for her knowing about Nik having Hayden shot. How many crimes did Sam cover up for Jason, how many murders… hell everyone on Port Charles would be an accessory to some kind of felony by your standard. Including Laura of course and now hilariously Sam & Jason since they know and are keeping it secret too and actually piled on another felony. You do know Blackmail is a crime I assume? LOL
Liz has paid for lying to Jason. Its over. It’s a soap not the end of life as we know it. Sam has plenty of dirt her in past.
I love that Liz keeps the buzz going for the show some obviously miss buzz about their favourite ships because they don’t get any otherwise why bother posting about Becky/ Liz stories. Jake Doe knew he could have been married and said Meh I am going on with my life. Regardless of the lie he chose to be with another woman(knowing he could have had a family and once he found out he was married he again said meh and slept with another woman. I love reading how all these things “Liz” did is so wrong and the names thrown out at her for doing these things….some just don’t get it. lol Like I said some will never get how they sound and why….
There’s truth in what you say, and sorry about 1yr vs 6mts…but it still goes both ways. If I’ve learned anything about comments on MF, everybody’s got their opinions based on how they read history, and who they like as characters.
At heart, I don’t think either Liz or Sam are bad people. Ibut sometimes they can revert to a badder self…in this cas Liz. So I just happen to side with Sam as we see her now. Yes Sam had a checkered past coming into PC. But she’s had to be a survivor, not that I condone how she did it. But she’s seemed to work herself past for the most part. And I’m sure Liz knew what Jason previously did for a living, too, just like Sam. Everyone did, but Liz still wanted him. Robin at least walked away because of his profession.
Liz has always been a bit of a handful. She’s always had her trouble finding the right guy, and staying, and being truthful and/or faithful with him. So for her to deceive Jason, and everyone else like she did, was stepping into the dark side.
I don’t like “blackmail,” but if anyone anyone had the right to give Nik an “offer he couldn’t refuse,” (as Tracy said) for keeping Jason’s id a secret and shooting Hayden, who better than Jason. It’s poetic justice. He had been at the wrong end of his lost memory situation since Helena…then sweet Liz!?! And he didn’t do it with a gun or take anything for himself. It will be interesting to see what he does next.
And as for everyone in town knowing or being and accessory to a crime probably true, especially because the writers always have someone carelessly spilling the beans when someone is secretly listening, or leaves their laptop where someone can read it, etc. But I am disappointed on how Laura and Michael have handled their knowing about Nik and Sonny’s crimes.

Well, sam and Jason know about the shooting now and neither of them are saying anything–they are blackmailing him with it to get the stocks back. So they are worse than Liz and Laura- they weren’t blackmailing him with the info to get money /stocks from him. But since it is sam doing it – oh it is fine and dandy now. She and Jason are now as much an accomplice as Liz and Laura ever were…worse!
And sam keeping Jake from Jason, Liz and Lucky will never be forgotten either and sam never redeemed herself for that..she just made it worse with the gunmen. Endangering babies lives –not keeping people safe , like Liz did.
Sam did far worse. Liz was exposed to everyone. Sam never was. Heck, they won’t even let Jason know about how crappy their marriage was or what she did to Jake so they can pretend Jasam was so great.
I agree that Liz shouldn’t just walk away unscathed, although Sam pretty much did for doing worse. And yes, I wanted Sam’s head but unfortunately, never got it. It was all swept under the rug. Liz wasn’t so lucky. For over a year Sam was vile, mean spirited, wasn’t sorry, seduced LIz’s husband, terrorized kids, and said some pretty mean and hateful things to Liz.
Liz can be sweet and nice. That was the core of her character before they decided to trash her year after year. She still hasn’t done anything worse then Carly, Sam, and most of the women on the show. At heart, she’s not a bad person. Sam saving Jake doesn’t wipe away the fact she targeted children. Liz saved her too in that cabin. That made them even in the save dept. And re: keeping up the deception, it was totally OOC because Liz was never obsessed with Jason, that was Sam. She always walked away from him and that at the core is why nothing that happened made any sense.
This made me laugh. You want Liz to repent in a town where criminals and murderers never have to pay for their crimes?! Girl, bye.
Hi Lilian…Yes I do re:Liz. She could help,raise the bar in PC. Call it a cleansing of the soul so she can start a new life without all the baggage. Won’t hold my breath because soaps want drama and conflict. And it’s not just criminals and murderers who never seem not have to pay like when the Gov gave Sonny clemancy because he saved his daughter. There are also the more non-lethal ones (except for recent Nik putting hit on Hayden), like stealing of fortunes (ELQ) that started with Jax, not just Nik and now Hayden, switching hospital results, and we all know the cheating on spouses. And on and on. At least Nina’s mom’s in jail, and the Cassadines have been stopped…for the time being. 🙂
Love to see her have a story line that doesn’t include someone else’s boyfriend/husband. Some new hospital drama, more of her being a single mother making it in the world. Would be great if Lucky came back – she needs a stabilizing relationship. She and Jason were never really a normal couple. Let Sam have Jason. Every man she’s been with has been someone else’s except for Lucky.
Umm, no. Ric was with no one in PC before he dated and married Liz. I do not get all the Lucky mentions when the show has brought him back for like 1 day since he left PC years ago.
Lucky is the worse thing that has ever happened to Liz. He was needy, whiny, stabbed her in the back, and she became a liar and pathetic person as a result. It was never about what Liz wanted. It was horrible. When he asked her what happened to that girl that crawled out of the bushes, I was eternally done with him. She was with Jason before Sam. They tried to have a relationship before Courtney. He was not in one, so how in the world was he someone else’s? Before this happened, Jason was never technically with anyone else when they were together. Am I forgetting something? Ewan wasn’t someone else’s. AJ (barf) wasn’t. Ric wasn’t (even barfier).
You are right about Jason and Liz never being real couple , they didn’t even have a relationship. She even told him and Sam both that she knew that he loved Sam and would never love her the way he did Sam, and that was the most truth Liz ever spoke.
Can’t wait until Becky is back on my screen. I do not want or need a Friz romance in any way. I didn’t want a friendship. I love RoHo but not as Franco. I hate that GH took the character that James Franco created for himself and explained his life as a serial killer away with a tumor. Sad… That story could have been revisited for years if GH was enticing enough to attract James again for the role… even though SBu is on YR.
I want Liz far away from Franco romantically. Eventually (right now!) I want a romance with her and Jason. Old habits die hard! Hahaha! Becky and Billy are great onscreen partners. I didn’t think I would like another Jason but BM won me over. The Lake/Liason story/romance was great. I’m looking forward to Liz being strong and helping her son. Moving out of the castle into her own home!
As a Jason fan from his days with Keisha I want more for the character than what we’ve seen since BM took on the role. He is so charismatic, I wish the writer’s would play up his strengths. I love SBu but the last few years of his stone cold was one of the reasons I left GH for years. They stagnated the character to the point that he wasn’t allowed any other female scene unless sam was attached to his back from 2009 to 2011 if not longer. He was unrecognizable as the Jason I loved as a Q and when he became JM. Anytime I gave in and watched GH I had to turn it right off because of how my favorite male lead and female lead were being written. I will always want Liason together, but when they’re not, I want deep meaningful compelling stories for both characters. I want to see them build their friendship and ultimately a return to them rebuilding a loving romantic relationship.
Billy’s acting was so great as Jake Doe. He didn’t even need words and you knew what he was feeling. How he looked at Liz. How he interacted with the boys. Great acting skills there. Going from the kind, gentle , loving man..to Helen’s pawn doing all that dangerous stuff, right back to the kindness again. Great acting. Now he is like a robot. No emotions, no feelings…and his acting has gone way down.
Feel so bad for Billy. He deserves so much better than this.
He deserves to be with someone he can act with and both show their skills..not dumb down so as not to outshine the other.

He thought RH was a good actress but they couldn’t get along and it was showing on screen ( you would see that if you opened your mind ) , the man was miserable ,so was RH , she wanted out of that storyline and triangle, yep that’s right she did , then she went and said she didn’t so who knows with her . Anyways , if half of you would take off your rose colored Liz glasses you could see your fan fav Liz was miserable just as much as BM. They had no chemistry , absolutely forced and boring . He wanted and wants to be stone cold and play along side KM. I used to like Liz till she decided she could mess with people’s lives for her own selfish reasons and not own up to and grow up.
Billy Miller needs to go! He is a great actor in a shitty role! Jason should have remained “Dead” until Steve Burton was willing to return!
NuJason is nothing like JQ or JM. JQ wouldn’t have been with Sam…ever. I’m not a Billy fan and I’m not a fan of NuJason. To me, they have ruined the most unique character on daytime. Most of the characters are unrecognizable. Her friendship with Franco disgusts me and Liz would never give him the time of day. They just throw people together because of chem and don’t care about character integrity. I didn’t want them to change Jason to fit an actor’s personality. Steve is funny and charismatic, but they didn’t incorporate that into the character. I think he played Jason just right. It made sense. He was JQ maybe 3 to 4 years. That was so long ago. The accident storyline was so raw and awesome back then. But NuJason is nothing like JQ. I just don’t like Jakeson. He’s just there and I’m not feeling him. I never have. I think it will be quite a while before Jason can move on from what Liz did and I’m okay with that because it makes sense. He was away from Sam for a quite a while before they put him back with her (even Steve said Jason would never go back to Sam). So, I don’t see that happening anytime soon. Jasam always implodes. Their marriage crashed and burned and the only reason they were put back together was that Steve was leaving. They have never dealt with that. I think they are pretending it didn’t happen so they can rush the relationship. To me, that makes it feel more like a rebound.

I cannot, in all honesty, speculate on Steve’s Jason because I am not familiar with him. I joined GH’s watching and posting posse just before he left.
However, I have been watching Y&R for quite a number of years. From my line of vision, Steve Burton has also been robbed of personality because as ‘Dylan’ he appears neither funny nor charismatic. His character/personality as Dylan is stilted; not natural….moves like an automaton. That is how he grabs me. It does not mean Steve carries the same personality.
In contrast to Steve/Dylan, Billy/Billy A was fun, skylarking through life. ( irresponsible, yes, but we couldn’t stay mad at him for too long…lol).
Every ‘Billy Abbott’ after his ‘rendition’ has not been able to capture and hold that sense of euphoric way of living life. Billy Miller and Amelia Heinle made it work, for me. I cannot see him with either Liz or Sam. I have been bitten by the Billy/Victoria bug, I guess.
So, who is Jason? Where did he go? Will I ever meet either Jason M or Jason Q? He isn’t even Jake D anymore.
I find your post very interesting……I had no idea that Sam and Jason had difficulties in their marriage. I thought everything was hunky-dory between them.
I am excited about Becky’s return and her future stories! I love the Liz and Franco friendship and would like to see a slow build to a FRIZ romance. Becky and Roger are fabulous together and sparkle! Bring it on! I also want to see Liz involved in more hospital stories, and for Liz to find out what happened to her son Jake during his missing years!
I look forward to seeing Rebecca Herbst back on screen. I miss Elizabeth being in the thick of things. First of all, I really hope to see a juicy story about what happened to Jake on the island. I hope that comes before anything else. I also hope Elizabeth will be a big part of the Nurses’ Ball. As for romance, I’m quite partial to Herbst’s and Billy Miller’s chemistry. I’m a big fan of Miller and I love their work together. GH has a true treasure in that acting duo. I am open to other pairings for Elizabeth provided she is written well and is treated right. I’m enjoying the heavier use of hospital characters and I hope she will be involved in all of those stories. Herbst is a wonderful actress and she’ll rock any story and any pairing.
I would love to see more love scenes like the ones with her and Steve Burton as Jason they were so tender and loving.. Billy Miller was very tender and loving towards her as well I think that’s what pulled us in. Plus her chemistry with both of them was off the charts.. I’m confused why they have him with sam it’s just not working for me.. Griffin is super hot and Franco is an amazing actor like Rebecca I still think the fans would rather see her and Jason finally have their family together the way they always dreamed of

Sam terrorized his kid, Cam, and Liz. She seduced Liz’s husband and was a vile witch for like a year and wasn’t sorry for what she did at that time, but she deserves Jason? They turned on each other and the show just ignores that. Jason is not in the mob anyway. If he was, how is Sam subjecting their son to the mob life such a great thing? And Sam isn’t having to be rescued over and over? She gets them in trouble more than she helps. Why does Liz have pay attention to her kids but not every other women on the show? Please. She gets to be happy. NuJason is an epic fail anyway, so she isn’t missing anything there. He just does whatever everyone else wants him to do and believes what they say. No one is being completely honest with him.

Sam and Jason are natural , but I’m sure one of those who are calling it soft porn lmao .
I liked the battle between Sam and Liz but it appears that Jason and Sam are together again. Perhaps Liz can find a new romance. Maybe a new man in town will notice her and take interest. I cannot see her without a boyfriend as she is so beautiful. She can be kind and compassionate when she wants to be.
Love Becky! I think she adds so to GH in her portrayal of Liz. The character is the last of the legacy Hardy family members on the canvas; wish they’d mind her family for any new characters they might “need”. (I don’t think they need ANY at this time, please.)
I would like to see Liz exercise her independence from men for a while. Let them see how great she is and drool. It would be fun to see her brush them aside.

Hallelujah ! can’t wait to have her back. GH just isn’t the same without Elizabeth. It was an obvious void not to have her be there for Nikolas when he was taken down by Jason. What a missed opportunity to have two dear friends bond over their mistakes. If the writers show that they care about the Nikolas and Elizabeth friendship and love that they have for one another, maybe we will get some good scenes of Liz being there for Nikolas.They need to stand together, be strong and be there as a family. All of them, Nikolas, Elizabeth, Laura, Lulu and all their kids. I want to see this Cassidine Clan built up , redeemed and given equal root worthy story lines.
I’m a Huge NIZ fan so what I want to see is more of them together, finding their way back to each other. I want to see Nik and Liz on a journey together to uncover what Helena did to Jake and what the painting to Nikoas really mean. I also would like to see Nikolas bonding more with Aiden. Why, because I really want Aiden to be his afterall. Maybe a story where Aiden is sick and needs blood for some rare illness that only Nikolas can provide, because he actually IS Aiden’s bio father. They can write that Helena messed with those DNA test to the very end.
I also feel like Jason, for having no memory of Sam, moved on way too fast. It doesn’t ring true, so to have him still showing interest in Liz would be good. Not that I want her to return the interest, or get back with him, but come on. He did fall in love with her and you don’t just fall out of love that fast. Also, he needs to man up and show some interest in finding his son, Jake a new home.. The lack of any concern by Jason and Sam for burning down Elizabeth’s home is sloppy writing. There are three boys without a home, doesn’t anyone care about that !
As for the Franco and Liz connection, YES I love it, and would be happy to see them build a friendship. But I want her next love to be, who it always should have been. Nikolas !!

Actually that’s not true , he did have memories of Sam he just couldn’t make sense of them, he also remembered their kiss and the feeling that went with that. As far as him getting over Liz, and moving on with Sam not being believable, it is believable. Liz lied to him and that hurt , so when he not only found who he was ,he found out the person he thought he loved kept his wife and child from him. The pull to Sam was always there he just didn’t know why. As far as Jake and Liz’s boys, they are just that her kids. Jason or Sam aren’t at fault for her house burning down, Jason bought that house , why does he have to buy another one? She has a job and a grandmother that helps her, I’m sure she’ll be fine. Fragile Liz isn’t really that fragile .
Cannot wait to see Becky come back! I’m loving the new friendship developing between Liz and Franco! Two top notch actors in Becky and the incomparable Roger Howarth. Who knew what combustible chemistry these two would have together!? I, for one, am excited about their future and hope that the sweet friendship that is slowly developing over their shared concern over Jake, might someday lead them to a full fledged romance! ❤️ I say a huge YES to FRIZ!!!
RH is a good actress , I’ll give her that, but her character now is ruined and it’s almost impossible to redeem her. Yeah it’s just a show blah blah, we know ! All the characters have done some messed up stuff. But let’s just look at Liz and the last year . She let ric have it at the nurses ball because he took her choice away in the matter and “Jakes” ( her words) and told him he didn’t love her , he lied and manipulated .Nik tells her Jake is Jason, and we have a moment where she seems like she will do the right thing , but at the last minute she decided Jason would be hers, She took his choice, Sams, Danny’s, and anyone who loved and cared about him. Their choice was gone. Because she said Sam didn’t need him ? Danny didn’t need him? They had Patrick , well at the time yes they did but Danny had a right to know his dad was alive. She said Monica and everyone already said goodbye to Jason and didn’t want to hurt them, because him being alive would hurt ? Now after all the little make outs they had and then not going far, the minute she found out who he was she took him to her house and her bed . Lied for months , she had her own back from the dead kid right under his ” dads” nose and said nothing ! Now how can anyone even be ok with that ? I don’t care if you hate Sam and Danny, don’t care , but if your a human being with a heart and morals then you know it’s wrong for anyone to keep a parent from their child ! I don’t care how much you ” love” them and say it’s best for everyone , Jason had 2 boys around and didn’t even know it. Yeah what she did to Sam and the rest of the people who loved him was wrong , but those kids didn’t deserve that. She let her own kids get close to a man she knew had a whole other life out there and it could come back at any minute. So that kind of desperation is ok and forgivable? No it’s not , don’t care what fan base your from , wrong is wrong. You can sit and try and defend Liz all day long , but that girl was in the wrong for what she did to Jason. He owes her nothing . She owes him . She never loved Jason he was an unhealthy obsession. When you have to lie and deceive a man , that’s not love . When you know deep down that the reason you won’t tell this man the truth is because he doesn’t and wouldn’t want you , that’s not love . Liz could have told the truth that night , Jason , Sam and everyone else would have been grateful to her for allowing them to have Jason, Jason would have seen a whole other side to Liz and maybe , just maybe he would have loved her . Liz never gave Jason a chance, she took his choice .
Now everyone knows she lied and what does she do? She tells robin she would do it all again, she didn’t learn and doesn’t care about Jason , she cares about what she wants. She yelled at Sam and blamed her for the mess they were all in, that was stupid, Liz lied, Liz got caught and she takes no responsibility for any of it, nope she lays blame else where . Her house catching fire is not her redemption. Jake getting hit by another car , again not her redemption. Jakes accident was just that, an accident. She should have been spending her every waking moment with her back from the dead son and figuring out what that poor kid went though with Helena , Liz knows what that woman is capable of,and still put all her time and focus into keeping her lie hidden and Jason with her. She acted like a dang child when Sam, Jason’s wife and the mother of his kid as well, brought Danny, jakes brother to the hospital. Calling Sam a friend ? Childish. Liz is on her pedestal judging others, she should in no way be doing that. Telling Hayden her husband was lonely and she was gonna go be with him ??? I don’t care what Hayden did, Liz was supposed to be realizing her mistakes and working on her and her kids ! But nope she was being the same Liz as always . You can in no way justify anything she did, she was WRONG! If she loved Jason she would have given him his kids , family and let him make his own choices .
Please tell me how all the “human beings with hearts and morals” who absolutely should not forgive Liz for her mistakes, sins blah blah blah against Jason, Sam, Danny, etc., have managed all these years to not only forgive but worship at the altar of Jason? He was instrumental in keeping AJ and all the Quartermaines away from AJ so that Carly could gift him to Jason mob boss bestie. Elizabeth to answer your question , Liz ( the character) didn’t have a contract with GH, the actress playing her did. RH is a good actress don’t think anyone is saying that,the character is hated . But since we are looking at obviousl things as you say , then we should probably look at ratings and the petty Liz and Jason fans. Liz and Jason tanked ratings , it’s a fact , but I’m sure some of you will find a way to twist it, you usually do, Liz and Jason fans swore they would not watch Sam and Jason together or while RH was away, because they obviously don’t like their show and don’t want it to do well no matter what, Jason and Sam fans stuck with it for months and months , because they like their show. Now ratings for Liz and Jason were bad , with Jason and Sam fans watching , Jason and Sam ratings were up , without liz fans , I believe that’s fairly obvious. But you and her fans ( not all her fans) will continue to believe Liz did no wrong , is a saint and RH is the show , her and Jason brig ratings , even when the proof is right in front of you.

Oh please everyone knows what Sam did ,she knows and she’s owned it. Liz has never owned her crap. They make her sad and pathetic and then make her hypocritical, judgemental of everyone and act like she does no wrong. That’s where the hate from Liz comes from. She can’t own nothing she has done .

Why hello there pot … Kinda obvious that everyone on the show has done messed up things, Liz kept Jason from both his sons. That’s wrong . She did it for selfish reasons. Yeah she kept him from his wife and rest of his family, but the fact that she didn’t let him know he had kids was just wrong. As far as your comments on fan base, I never said all Liz fans approve of what she did , u actually never said anything about her fans . OMG!!!! Liz lied and kept a child from the parent she can never be redeemed on a soap after that ROTFLMAO!!!! On a soap!!! Honestly, I forgot all about Liz. I see here with all the feedback that a lot are excited to see Rebecca back. Fine. I wont rain on your parade. She is a very good actress connected to a lot of people in PC. Before we hitch her with ANYONE I think they need to and will tell the story of Jake. She will return in May with the new actor playing Jake and I think she will focus on her son and not worry much about Jason. I think she will connect closer with Nick since she hates Hayden so much and of course Franco will be in her life a lot. MAYBE a romance will ignite, maybe but I dont see Liz falling in love anytime soon.
I love Roger Howarth as an actor — I watched him on One Life to Live, but having read comments from some fans, they find it a disturbing match. The last few scenes with Rebecca, she was showing a lot of spunk — Love It! The Sam, Jason, and Liz could be a fun triangle with Jason constantly confused and flip flopping. I think Liz needs something fresh, handsome, inspiring, dealing with the medical needs, maybe children? An inspiring relationship with a very handsome doctor showing skill, teamwork, spunk, and a mystery. Some of the stories with her could teach the audience some important issues in the medical profession. Maybe her and her new relationship could dislike each other in a working relationship, but they meet at some kind of masquerade and become intrigued not knowing who each other is and carry on with a secret relationship through email, text, etc. Yet on the job, they politely tolerate each other. Because of their past relationships each is afraid to reveal themselves to the other without a disguise. Stop making Liz a “Rug” — this girl is beautiful — she needs fire and spunk and sexual allure. Maybe Jason can look her way on more than one occasion seeing the changes shes made. When a person has many tragedies, often they make changes that make them defensive. Everybody loves fishing and the playing of the Hook. I am so glad she is back.
I have been reading a lot of comments and I would like to say some things . I am not a Liz and Jason fan, I am not a Sam and Jason fan, I used to like the Liz character and Rebecca is a good actress. I liked Liz until this whole Jake/Jason mess . She should have never been involved in that storyline at all, unless it was to tell his family he was alive . Liz and Jason have never really been a couple , he cared about her yes but he never loved like she wanted . What she did to him , his boys , and the rest of his family is completely wrong, they have backed this character into a corner . Jason should have been able to figure it all out on his own. Now as far as who is better with who, we all have our opinions, likes and dislikes, but Billy and Rebecca just didn’t have any chemistry, they looked unhappy and just ready for it to be over . He signed on to play Jason Morgan, Stone cold. Not Jason Q or the submissive pup he was with Liz . Billy is an amazing actor and he is making this role his own , we are finally seeing it now that he isn’t being paired with Liz.
RH and BM have said a few times they both did not want Liason, they wanted out of that and the triangle.
Kelly is an amazing actress as well , she and Billy do have some amazing chemistry, I know some have said they are a couple in real life, I don’t know if it’s true but I could believe it after seeing them together, the way they look at each other and just how at ease they are shows a lot .GH did good with casting him to play along side Kelly because they are good together. If Sam and Jason want to be with each other then they should get that chance . I don’t think Liz and Jason will happen again ever , they just don’t work ,
Billy and Rebecca just don’t have any spark or a connection. I hope Liz comes back and takes this time to do what she should have been doing , finding out what happened to Jake. Maybe there is a paternity reveal coming , maybe not, who knows . She needs to get her and the kids in a house and focus on her and the kids, that is all she should do for now. I hope for her fans sake they let her grow ,find someone who is not with anyone and fall in love slowly. Her and Jason need to be done and over . The fight with her and Sam

You don’t have to like them, can you just leave it at that? Why say mean things about these women ? Billy is also another one who is bashed a lot , he is a good actor, like I said above that is starting to show now. I am sorry I made this so long . Sophie…I think you have written a very fair comment. Also noticed this story seemed to attract a few more combative, new commenters I had never seen before. Just like on another story which will go nameless.
When did Becky and Billy ever say that? Why lie about something that can so easily be fact checked? They may have wanted his identity to come out – as did many involved in this story including TC – but that’s not the same as what you said. BH did an interview recently where she stated (despite baseless rumours), she doesn’t dictate story. Please don’t spread lies like this.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Brook Lynn and Chase Have Their Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties
On General Hospital, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) both were treated to Bachelorette and Bachelor parties to shake off any of those pre-wedding jitters. At The Savoy, the ladies have a touching and fun time with Brook Lynn.
The bride-to-be gives a speech to thank everyone for coming, while Lois lets everyone know to try the signature cocktail the “Brooklynn Chaser”, which gets everybody eventually and mostly, drunk.
When Tracy (Jane Elliot) questions Lois (Rena Sofer) as to why there is no music for the party, Lois realizes she forgot, and somehow, who does she call to the rescue? Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)! Saving the day, he winds up playing some tunes and later gets on the dance floor to ‘shake it off’ with the gals.

Lois makes a speech as the mother of the bride, and shares how proud she is of the woman Brook Lynn has become. Wedding games begin, including one of “hot potato” with a wedding bouquet.
When it’s time for the “Silly Poses” section of the party, Spinelli has now morphed from DJ to staff photographer taking memorable photos of the ladies to remember the evening by.

The best part of the event, was when Brook Lynn tries to get her grandmother Tracy out on the dance floor, which, at first, she refuses. After several of the guests bust a move, a tipsy Tracy joins the dance party after Joss mentions that if her grandmother Bobbie was here, she would dance. Tracy says “she agrees” and begins to cut a rug on the floor, much to the delight of the other women.

In the final moments, a tipsy Joss and Kristina (Kate Mansi) have a confrontation about Sonny, and Joss lets Kristina in more on Sonny’s behavior, which looks to have clued in Kristina a bit more as to how something is way off about her dad.

Across town at the Hatchett Bar, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and the men with the exception of Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper), all attend Chase’s Bachelor Party where throwing hatchets into a dart board for supremacy is the order of the day. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Ned (Wally Kurth) get into some words over ELQ, while Dante makes a toast to his police partner, Chase.

Suddenly Dex (Evan Hofer) shows up. Chase thanks Dex for coming, but Dex gets some dirty looks from other cops on the force. Dante gives Chase his present, which is a signed baseball by the Boston Red Sox.
Ned (Wally Kurth) makes a speech that although no one is good enough for his daughter, Brook Lynn, Chase has come closer than anyone has, so welcome to the family. Running in at the end is Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), who just left Brook Lynn’s party, and she toasts her singing partner, Chase, and to the great man that he is.

Cameron Mathison Previews New Game Show ‘Beat The Bridge’ (Promo)
As previously reported, Cameron Mathison (Drew, General Hospital) will be seen doing double duty this summer when he premieres in June as the host of Game Show Network’s Beat The Bridge.
Now, while Cameron will be the host with the most, that doesn’t mean he will stop playing GH’s Drew. In fact, Mathison taped the game show in 2023, so it will now air for the first time in 2024.
Taking to his Instagram this week, Cameron shared his enthusiasm and some new hosting snaps, sharing, “Our newest game show host reporting for duty😎 Head over to the Game Show Network YouTube channel for your first look at the show and don’t miss Beat The Bridge premiering this June! I can’t wait for you guys to see this!”

In Beat The Bridge, an enormous interactive bridge dares players to cross by stepping on the right answers to challenging trivia questions. As they play, each steps forward and puts money in their team’s bank, with bonus money for each successful crossing. Here’s the catch: the team gets to keep the money only if it can “beat the bridge” by returning one of its players back across before time expires.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Nina Confronts Ava for Sabotaging Her Relationship With Sonny and Signs the Divorce Papers
Looks like Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Ava (Maura West) are back to be each other’s sworn enemy number one. By the end of the Monday, April 22nd episode of General Hospital, the women know where they stand with each other after Nina goes in on Ava accusing her of wanting Sonny (Maurice Benard) all to herself, while her marriage has been on the rocks.
In story, at Nina’s office, Ava shows up to see Nina and says she is sorry about what happened with Sonny and that he reacted the way he did, acknowledging that is was over the top, even for Sonny. Ava says she’ll smooth things over, but Nina says she now understands how manipulative and transparent Ava really is.
Given their horrible history, Nina goes in on Ava and how she should never have trusted her. Nina wants to know how long has Ava had this agenda dating all the way back to telling Nina to turn Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) into the SEC. Ava says she never told her do to that, but Nina wants to know how long Ava has been playing her for a fool.

Ava says she moved in with Sonny to keep Avery safe and she wants to be on good terms with Avery’s father, Sonny. Nina thinks she likes being in Sonny’s inner circle. Ava tells Nina if she goes to him about her advising Nina to call the SEC on Carly and Drew, it won’t work. Sonny still considers Nina a traitor and he will think she’s lying because she’s so desperate to win him back. Ava says if Nina would stop blaming everyone else that maybe Sonny would respect her. Nina says “like he does you?” Ava says Sonny not only respects her, but he also counts on her.
From there, Ava launches into why she and Sonny understand each other, after all, Sonny is a powerful, turbulent, and sometimes violent man. She goes so far to say if Nina wanted someone to just sit by the fire with and play with their grandchildren, she’s got the wrong guy. Ava then talks about Mike from Nixon Falls (Sonny with amnesia) and how Sonny hid the darkest parts of himself from Nina back then, whereas with Ava they are the same similar creatures, so he doesn’t have to hide anything.

Nina wants to know just what Ava wants with Sonny? What is her end game? Ava responds that they understand each other, in ways she can’t with Sonny. Nina tells Ava she can go ahead and have it all and signs Sonny’s divorce papers. Ava walks out with the documents, while Nina in tears at her desk, takes off her wedding rings and has her assistant come in so she can messenger the rings back to Sonny’s address.
