REPORT: Dan Feuerriegel is DAYS New EJ DiMera
Could Days of our Lives finally found their new EJ? Rumors have been circulating on the internet for weeks that the character of EJ DiMera may finally have a new face and a new actor portraying and heading back to Salem, especially since Sami (Alison Sweeney) is back on the canvas.
The role was previously played by longtime fan favorite James Scott, who had made it very clear he would never return to Days of our Lives.

Now according to Daytime Confidential and their report from setside sources, the new EJ will actually be played by former Spartacus actor Dan Feuerriegel.
The Australian-born actor has been seen in Starz’ Spartacus franchise in the role of Agron.
According to the report, look for the new EJ to make his debut sometime this summer.
DAYS fans know that in story, EJ was brought back form the dead, from the serum from Dr. Rolf, but then was injured in an explosion and had reunited with Sami and had been recovery in Europe.
So, if this reports turns out to be true, what do you think of the new EJ? Comment below.
I approve if this is confirmed to be true. He was great in Spartacus.
He is very handsome!! I’ll bet he will be very successful in the role.
Many handsome men are not good actors. Just saying
Agreed. ESPECIALLY this new EJ
do not like the new EJ at all. He sounds brash and full of himself.
He is not good at all!
Thought I was the only one who felt this way!
Nope, don’t like him one bit! Nothing at all like James Scott
You’re not alone, Sammi. This recast is a major letdown so far. Don’t like the attitude, don’t like the hair, don’t like anything yet.
He’s a great. He can act.
Love it. He’s was a great actor in Spartacus. He has that look that will work out great. Since he’s Australian we might get a hint of that accent. It’s not British but it’s close. Lol
Not familiar with his work, but will definitely give him a genuine chance. Though, would prefer a Lucas and Sami reunion.
Agreed
So now NewElvis will be the third DiMera brother (along with Tony & Andre) with an Australian accent… despite the fact that Stefano never set foot in the Kangaroo Kingdom (that we know of)
I am not familiar with this actor—will he fill James Scott’s shoes?
Aside—–today’s April Fool’s spoof-episode was a hit for me—-with the exception of watching John Black open his mouth “yay” wide to kiss Doc. Triple yuck. Gross!! Has he list his making-out technique?
Nobody will fill James Scotts shoes, apparently. This guy is awful!!
Absolutely correct —-one episode was all I needed to make up my mind. This guy is so stiff—watch out for anyone with thin lips. LOL.
I don’t find him good-looking either. Just my opinion.
AGREE!
Glad we concur, Celia. He’s so cold, when he opens his mouth a light comes on.
Absolutely don’t like him..no one can fill those shoes. Just not believable. Sorry.
Nope! Yes he is handsome and in Spartacus he was good. BUT, EJ will always be James. It’s like trying to recreate Stephano, Tony, or Victor. Those three actors ARE that charcter. They brought them to life, much like James and EJ.
James was fabulous as EJ, but he’s not coming back. I’m also disappointed in some of his comments regarding Days, etc.
Nope. Not interested in him. Not even close to the original EJ Dimera.
Oh yes I definitely approve. Cant wait to see EJs return.
I don’t know. I’m not seeing it. But I’ll give him a chance.
Someone wrote on another board that its time to retire Sammie. I agree. No offense to the actress but Days is doing what it always does in not allowing its supercouples to move on. We have too many DiMera men on the show already with Chad, Jake, Tony and now EJ. Why couldn’t they kill off EJ and let Sammie move on with a new man and a new character who doesn’t have to be endlessly compared to James Scott. This relationship has always been controversial because it was built on a foundation of rape and that was before the Me Too movement. It really is time for Days to move on.
The other Lis
If you have been watching you did see Lonnie’s Aunt talking Abe into a deal that will change Salem in more ways than one, probably unrecognizable to a lot of us.As for Sammie, I never could stand her and as long as she hasn’t got her claws into Rafe, I don’t care who her husband is.
It’s important to remember that Sami raped Austin Reed. She drugged him ( like the date rape drug ). That was one reason why some people didn’t have a problem with Sami and EJ being together. Two of a kind.
I’m willing to give the guy a fair chance. He is handsome, and an Austrailian accent is pretty close to a British accent. I guess we will see when he says, “Samantha”. Also, Days need something or someone to beef things up a little in Salem. Seems when they lost EJ, they lost the imagination of writing. Just saying. Yes, I welcome a new EJ.
You’re right about beefing up the plots—-any plot. Maybe this new EJ will figure out that Jan snuck out of the hospital, stole Belle’s coat, purposely left the button behind just to frame Belle for Charlie’s murder.
I do not approve. There’s only one EJ and it’s James Scott. When Sammi leaves town again, just let her go back to EJ don’t want to see this EJ. Or, they could have offered James the world just for a few episodes to be with Sammi when Alison Sweeney leaves which she will eventually. That’s when James Scott could film a few episodes to leave with her they should just leave it the way it was. I never understood why James Scott left the show and then Alison Sweeney left a few weeks later. If it was only a few weeks later, then why didn’t they just let them leave together.Duh
I definitely approve! JS has no desire to return after Days made him several generous offers. I adored him in the role, but he moved on and so should his fans. Sami’s had an absentee husband much too long. Days brought EJ back to life, it is time to bring him back on canvas.
Ewwww I just can’t! That is nothing like my James!
There will never be another person who can play EJ
I loved James Scott. He’s the best EJ DOOL will ever have!!!!❤❤❤
Yes he is the new one is more of a dork
I just saw NewEJ I don’t like ;not very good looking for part Boring!
If you can’t bring back the original than it is a no from me.
Well, now that he is actually here…he looks nothing like the handsome photo above…I guess he has gained weight…yuk! And, he is NOT cute or handsome at all. He for sure doesn’t work for me and doesn’t evoke any of the feelings James did with his fine looks and fine acting! Keep looking for a suitable replacement DOOL!
I DO NOT like the new EJ. Hes nowhere near as attractive as the last one, and NOT a good actor. Ugh
The new EJ is icky! Not good looking at all. And the “intimacy” between Sammy and him looks forced. Like ewww…..and his body is soft! No muscle. Hit the gym dude. Find someone else
Dan is doing a damn fine job as NuEJ, no matter what the mean girls/bitches say.
He is not the right fit for this role. I think Lucas and Sami would be slot better. Don’t want to watch anymore!
Horrible. Horrible. Terrible actor. No synergy or chemistry with ANY scene or character. I literally cringe when he comes on screen. What the f$&@ is up with those tiny pursed lips all the time?
No way. Sorry not a good EJ
I like the character of EJ, but have always liked Sami & Lucas together. This new EJ is doing a fantastic job! He’s spot on as EJ and has really made the role his own. I still can’t get with Chanel, even though the new Chanel is a better actress. And I will always prefer Kate Mansi as Abigail.
Love him as EJ, the character of EJ in the beginning was kind of docile but he always showed his Dimera power and when worked against Abe we Mayor Lucas, when he had Rafe held captive he was always his father’s son towards we end, and this new guy is playing the part great! He’s doing a great job!
He has modified his London street style haircut and is really looking good.
