‘Revenge’ Alums Emily VanCamp and Josh Bowman Welcome Baby Girl

The summer celebrity baby news continues! Now comes word that two of our favorites from ABC’s defunct primetime soap, Revenge, are celebrating the birth of their baby girl.

Emily VanCamp (Emily Thorne) and husband Josh Bowman (Ex-Daniel Grayson) announced today on Instagram that they welcomed their first child.

In the post, VanCamp who now stars as Fox’s The Resident, shared: “Welcome to the world our sweet little Iris. Our hearts are full.”

However, the duo decided not to include when Iris actually was delivered and arrived into this world.

Totally great series! I want to rewatch Revenge. I wonder if it’s on Hulu? I’ll have to check.
Congrats to Emily and Josh on the arrival of Iris. I didn’t realise they are a couple… let allow married. Josh is so hot. They are a sexy couple. Best to them, wonderful news.

As the World Turns Alum Marnie Schulenburg Passes Away at 37

Heartbreaking news to report.  As the World Turns alum, Marnie Schulenburg, has died at the young age of 37-years-old.

Schulenburg had been battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer since 2020.

Soap fans remember her portrayals as Alison Stewart on As the World Turns from 2007-2010 and  as Jo Sullivan on Prospect Park’s reboot of One Life to Live in 2013.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Marnie passed away a few days shy of her 38th birthday.

The Flux Theatre Ensemble, in which Marnie participated and performed in shared their sorrow on Facebook noting: “We’re mourning the loss of Marnie Schulenburg, a beloved member of Flux’s family and an extraordinary actor who performed in and helped develop so many Flux shows, including MARIAN, HEARTS LIKE FISTS, PRETTY THEFT, and ANGEL EATERS. We love you so much, and we will miss you always.”

Marnie is survived by husband Zack Robidas and daughter, Coda, who is just two-years-old.

The Bold and the Beautiful Scores Biggest Audience in Over Two Years

Hats off to CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful! The daytime drama series delivered its largest viewing audience in over two years.

The last time B&B had these numbers it was back for the week ending April 24th, 2020.  Coincidentally, that was the last week of first-run episodes before all of the Covid-19 production shutdowns.

While CBS tweeted the news of B&B’s rating success, it should also be noted that this is the third time in six weeks that the soap has hit a season high.

For the week of May 9-13, in story, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) remembered that it was Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) who shot her husband, Finn ( … and her!

According to Soap Opera Network, B&B was up over +515,000 total viewers for the ratings week and came in with a total viewer tally of 3.320 million. In addition the CBS daytime drama has been up +212,000 viewers week to week.

Fox Announces Primetime Soap ‘Monarch’ On Fall Schedule

You remember the tawk of the multi-generational musical drama about America’s first family of country music that was supposed to air in January?  Well, eventually due to Covid-19, the plans for its debut got scrapped from a two-night premiere set for Sunday, January 30 as a midseason replacement and kicked back to the fall.

Now, Fox has confirmed that Monarch is indeed on their fall schedule during its annual Upfront presentation on Monday.

The soapy series stars Oscar winner, Susan Sarandon as the Queen of Country Music Dottie Cantrall Roman, and her husband Albie Roman played by country singer, Trace Adkins.

In story, Dottie and Albie have created a country music dynasty. But even though the Roman name is synonymous with authenticity, the very foundation of their success is a lie. And when their reign as country royalty is put in jeopardy, heir to the crown Nicky Roman played by Anna Friel, will stop at nothing to protect her family’s legacy, while ensuring her own quest for stardom.

No word yet from Fox on what night of the week Monarch will land on the full fall schedule.  Stay tuned.
