Revengers, great news!  ABC began to announce the primetime series that are renewed for the 2014-2015 season late yesterday and the soap opera in the Hamptons, Revenge has indeed received a pick-up to continue on for its fourth season!

And the news comes at the perfect time as this Sunday May 11th (10PMEST/PST)  the series wraps-up its third season with an episode that is sure to leave us hanging and wanting to more entitled, “Execution”!

Series star Emily VanCamp (Emily) tweeted upon the news yesterday, “Revenge will be back for a season 4!”

Revenge was one of ten shows thus far that got their renewals from ABC including Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, Resurrection, Once Upon A Time and Castle!

The question today is, will we learn the fate of the Music City drama Nashville?  Critics believe the show is on the bubble and it could go either way!

REVENGE’s renewal pleases me. Seems the story is back on track, although I miss some of the more sunny ways early chapters played out in Hamptons glory in Season 1. Recent episodes seem so dark and et in abandoned buildings and under cloudy skies. Admittedly this is the mod of the ‘hood where the Graysons reside but I’d like some more glam. the speed plotting is a bit cray-cray, too, but I guess it is what it is, no? Will be interesting to see how the stories hang on the cliff after Sunday… and what fate is there for the… Read more »

Excellent news! Love the show…Soooo hoping NASHVILLE gets picked up, which if I had to make a choice I’d choose over REVENGE (though I do love them both) and DRACULA. C’mon ABC!

Lemme take that back. I wouldn’t choose NASHVILLE over REVENGE… I DO love them both. But, hmmmm…I think I’d be more disappointed if NASHVILLE gets cancelled…(is that saying the same thing in a different way? :/ )

‘Dr. Oz Show’ Taken Off the Air in NY and PA Due to Senate Run; Daphne Oz ‘The Good Dish’ to Fill Time Slot

In light of his announcement that he will be running as a republican senate candidate in the state of Pennsylvania, Dr Oz’s daytime talk and medical show, The Dr. Oz Show, is being taken off the air in key markets in New York and Pennsylvania, according to the Fox Station Group.

According to Deadline’s sources, Fox TV Stations proceeded with pulling the Sony Pictures TV-distributed syndicated series because of the prospect of being forced to give other political candidates running in Pennsylvania equal time, expressing that it “would be a nightmare for us, there was no way we were going to be able to do that.”

In its place, look for Dr. Oz’s daughter, Daphne Oz, to be the fill-in with her show.

Starting on January 18th, Daphne’s The Good Dish, will take over the time slot during the duration of her father’s political campaign.  This potentially could go all the way through November of 2022, if Oz remains in the race through election day.

Last fall, Fox TV Stations renewed The Dr. Oz Show for two more years which gave it life through 2023.

So, do you think more stations will go bye-bye and have The Dr. Oz show pulled? What do you think of daughter Daphne’s series as the fill-in? Comment below.

General Hospital Has No Immediate Plans to Recast the Role of Jason Morgan Following Steve Burton’s Departure

According to a report from Variety, ABC’s General Hospital is not planning on recasting the role of Jason Morgan at this time, following the exit of Steve Burton.

The two-time Daytime Emmy winning star was let-go from the soap after not adhering to their Covid-19 vaccine mandate.

The mandate went into effect on November 1st and in story, the series wrote Burton out, but still left wiggle room for the character to return.

Jason was buried under a rubble when a cave collapsed on top of him, while he was trying to apprehend arch-villain, Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

In his exit announcement on Instagram, Burton did express: “Maybe one day if these mandates are lifted, I can return and finish my career as Jason Morgan.”  Steve had played the role of Jason since 1991, but with a four-year break at Y&R, before returning to the role in 2017.

Now whether down the line, GH does eventually recast Jason remains to be seen.

So, it looks like Jason will be off the canvas for awhile, and Port Charles will continue to grieve for him.

So, what are your thoughts? Should GH leave Jason off the canvas? Should they recast down the line?  Comment below.
