This week on General Hospital, look for former The Young and the Restless alum, Robert Adamson, to step in for Chad Duell in the role of Michael Corinthos.

According to Soap Opera Digest, the reason for the switch-up was due to a scheduling conflict with Chad at the time of the taping of one of the episodes. Adamson previously filled-in for Duell on the ABC soap opera in 2022 for eight episodes.

Robert had played Y&R’s Noah Newman, the son of Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) from 2012-2020. Since leaving Y&R, Adamson has continued to pursue acting and directing. His most recent roles have included the short film, Midnight Ruin, One Night Stand Murder, and The Final Rose. The role of Noah was taken over by Rory Gibson in 2021 and the actor has been playing the role on and off on a recurring basis.

In story on GH, viewers are anxiously waiting for Michael to find out that his wife, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) has the hots for Drew (Cameron Mathison), as Ned (Wally Kurth) wants the truth to come out so he can take control of ELQ. Will this be the week that Michael gets a clue?

So, looking forward to seeing Robert Adamson sub for Chad Duell this week on General Hospital? Comment below.

Hopefully nothing of significance happens to Mikey while the sub actor is playing.

Hate it when they have “pivotal” scenes not played by the real actors.

I think Michael find out about Drew and Willow qualities as significant.

Robert Adamson is superb actor – love this

Agreed. Adamson’s great. Duell has one expression. Deer in the headlights!

Wouldn’t mind seeing him every day as Michael or ?? Miss him on Y&R

What goes on over at gh this seems to happen quite often with different actors

I will say this doesn’t happen on any of the other soaps. Between illness & non illnesses GH has to recast their actors. It’s so weird because Y&R, B&B and Days never do it. Could someone explain to me why this only happens on GH? Seriously.

DAYS shoots so far in advance they have time to backfill scenes if they need to make adjustments for an actor being out. With GH’s block shooting schedule and larger recurring cast, some scenes are shot 2-3 weeks prior to air. So, “the show must go on” as the saying goes.

I don’t watch B&B or Days, but I’ve seen it happen on occasion on Y&R. I suspect it’s an easy issue for Days to avoid, because they tape SO far in advance.

Bring back Brenda

Ugh; no. Can’t stand Vanessa Marcel. She’s nuts.

Too many sad events at once. My head is spinning!

I really like looking at this man.

Poor Sasha. Imagine getting drunk and going to bed with dreamy Michael only to wake up to a humorless Elmer Fudd.

Trina, Michael, Willow

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, the action picks right back up with Michael (Rory Gibson) questioning Jacinda (Paige Herschell) on what exactly she did to exact revenge on her after Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) got a restraining order against her.

In the newly-released video teaser promo for the ABC soap opera, Michael is with Jacinda and is astonished when he says, “You drugged the mother of my children?” Jacinda realizes she made an irreversible mistake in her relationship with Michael, which may now be kaput.

Meanwhile, in what appears to be the aftermath of her drinking the laced coffee, Willow wakes up from her couch, somewhat disheveled, and is seen asking Nina (Cynthia Watros), “What happened?” Later, Michael and Willow come face to face after the incident with Nina’s voiceover as a precursor to the action, saying, “Willow’s war with Michael is escalating.”

MICHAEL MAY FIND AN ALLIANCE TO FEND OFF WILLOW

Now an angry Willow, who had finally got shared custody of her children with Michael, Wiley (Viron Weaver) and Amelia (Sienna Goerisch), feels emblazoned to get them all for herself. Willow tells Michael, “I am taking my kids.” But, not so fast Willow!

From the looks of it, Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) arrive at the Quartermaine mansion just in time to talk to Michael. Trina confesses, “We can help you stop her!” Will Trina and Kai finally admit they know that Willow is the person who shot Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)?

Finally, the verdict is in at Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) trial. Will he be found guilty or innocent of assaulting Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson), which put an end to the doctors surgical career? Stay tuned.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Reveals Jane Elliot’s Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination

Published

By

Steve Burton, Jane Elliot

On General Hospital, Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine) have been appearing together more and more in scenes together and storylines than in recent years on the ABC soap opera.  The result has been emotional moments built within the rich history of the Quartermaine family between Jason and Tracy.

In 2025, it was Jason who found his mother Monica Quartermaine upstairs in her room passed away, which then led to Jason having to tell Tracy that Monica was gone. This began the beats of the story that played out for weeks and then months as General Hospital paid tribute to the late Leslie Charleson.

Coming up at the 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards, Burton is up in the Lead Actor in Daytime Drama Series category and previously reported, Steve revealed on his That’s Awesome podcast with Bradford Anderson that he did not include scenes from Jason at Monica’s funeral in his Emmy-nominated reel. However, he did share without naming specifics, he did include some moments from Monica’s death.

JEFF KOBER DOUBLE EMMY NOMINEE

Now on Sunday August 9, Steve and Bradford welcomed double Emmy nominee, and former co-star Jeff Kober to their show.  Kober is up for a Primetime Emmy in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Duke Ekins in The Pitt. He is also up Outstanding Guest Performer at the Daytime Emmys for his work as Cyrus Renault on GH. Kober previously won a Daytime Emmy for Supporting Actor back in 2022.

Kober was discussing how many takes he may get working on a scene in various projects from movie roles to primetime to General Hospital and one particular note he received from a director on a take was just to do it and be ‘simpler,’ and as an actor to strive for ‘simplicity.’ That prompted Burton to recall the moment Jane Elliot congratulated him on his Daytime Emmy nomination last month.

A TEXT MESSAGE FROM JANE ELLIOT

Steve shared, “Jan was gracious enough to to text me when I got nominated and she said something to the effect of like .’thank you for not chewing the scenery’. Thank you for not chewing it. You know, because it’s easy sometimes when you get that meat (referencing a scene or story material) and you’re like, ‘Here’s my shot,’ and especially in daytime, and you go, ‘This could be my Emmy material,’ OR ‘Here’s your chance to blow it. Here’s your chance to ruin everything.” (Laughs)  It’s just all very interesting.”

Check out the discussion with Jeff Kober, Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson below.

Then, let us know what do you think of Jane’s comment on Steve’s Emmy nomination, ‘thank you for not chewing the scenery.” Coming from Jane, who shared several scenes with him during the aftermath of Monica’s death, it’s a very high compliment, because Burton moved many to tears with his moving portrayal of a man grieving the woman that raised him. ‘General Hospital’s’ Finn Carr Weighs-In on Potential Rocco and Scout Teen Romance

Published

Finn Carr, Kayden Brenna Tokarski

Finn Carr, who delivered powerful performances on General Hospital, when Rocco shot WSB director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and its aftermath, may be headed for his first on-screen love story on the ABC soap opera.

Ever since it was announced that the long-running daytime drama decided to age-up Scout Cain, and in a few recent scenes between Rocco and Scout, it’s clear these two share similar interests and like each other.

Scout is now played by Kayden Brenna Tokarski, who made her GH debut back on July 20 as the daughter of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and the late Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).

In a newly-released virtual segment with ABC11 North Carolina’s GH virtual insider, Dearon Smith, both Finn Carr and Asher Antonyzyn talked about working on a soap opera, while finishing high school, and teasing what’s ahead for Danny and Rocco. While Finn and Asher couldn’t give too much away, Smith asked Finn Carr if there is something brewing between Scout and Rocco?

WHAT’S NEXT FOR ROCCO AND DANNY?

Carr responded, “That’s an interesting question. Kaden is great to work with, and I love working with her. There definitely is some great stuff coming up that people are going to want to watch. It’s good stuff and really fun.”

Apparently, Danny and Rocco will also find themselves once again in some trouble, but as Finn tells it looks like this time, Danny will take the brunt of it. “We get into a lot of trouble … well, Danny gets into a lot of trouble … but I do a lot though.” Very cryptic indeed!

You can check out the full conversation with Finn and Asher with ABC11 below.

Now, let us know, would you like to see Rocco have a girlfriend, and that it would be Scout? Do you think Finn and Kayden work well together on-screen? Share your thoughts via the comment section.
