R.H. seems better here than as GHs Franco…imo!

I watch Californication sometimes but I will plan to watch this season because of Roger. I believe he’s in 6 episodes? I hope we get to see some great work from him. It looks promising.

I’d love to see it..
I don’t have Showtime and Netflix doesn’t carry Californication..
couldn’t find it at HuLu, either .

He is better than ANY other character than as Franco. The words EPIC FAIL were designed to be used in tandem with the casting, writing, and performances of this incarnation of Franco.

I really like RH as Franco..
I hope Franco will soon get a story.. RH will rock it!!
Franco is still a mystery man, there is much more to come..

JAMES FRANCO sucks! That character should have died when James was done toying with his time on GH.

I watched Roger on Californication last night. I thought he did a really great job. I’m looking forward to watching him on future episodes this season.

I’m a Franco fan!!
Roger really hasn’t had a Franco story to bring him alive..
Roger Howarth is an powerful extraordinary actor, no matter which roll he plays..
waiting for more Franco, hi story ..

Bring him alive???? Franco is exactly the same as Todd was.

It just doesn’t work. Everyone, please send good vibes to Roger and watch Californification with him every chance you get! Let’s all have good thoughts that Roger can move onward and upward in his career and get away from Carlivati and GH for good!

Wow, Roger looks so different here. Kinda like the guy from XFiles. I read the PP/ABC licensing agreement and it’s all over. Its time to hang the RIP sign on OLTL AMC. |- (

Looking at this clip, Roger could have been a Frisco Jones recast?

Bravo- he could be a movie star or carry a show on his own. Maybe this is his first step. Todd Manning will be a character for the ages. That is his.

I would definitely watch Roger Howarth on Californication if I had Showtime. I loved Roger as Todd Manning on OLTL but the writers who wrote the Franco role for him just didn’t get it right!!! Roger is not the right character to play Franco. I do love Roger and hope he’ll do better on Californication, but wish he would get a better role for him on a soap opera!!!

I don’t like RH’s hair color. It looks fake. Not flattering at all, too light. He has to go up against Hank to win Karen’s affections!

Never watched Californication but I have a three month trial Showtime deal so I’ll check it out. As for Roger…loved him as Todd…still love him as Franco except to me his Franco is Todd with another name. And now, his yoga dude just reminds me of Todd/Franco so…dunno. Would have to see more of him in the role to see if he can play anything (in my eyes) that doesn’t seem to have the same mannerisms, expressions and inflections as his other two persona.

Roger’s yoga character and Karen should be a couple because he is so much hotter than writertard Hank. As usual, Roger was just fantastic, and can do so much with so few words! Want to see more of him!!

GH Nurses’ Ball 2019 Part Three: Trouble Looms For Ava, Cameron’s Heartfelt Song, A Liesl & Franco Duet

Tuesday’s episode of General Hospital brought with it the third installment of the Nurses’ Ball 2019 and this time there were several musical numbers to discuss, as well as story points moving forward.

Obrecht was back and in her full glory and that meant great news to GH fans to see Kathleen Gati appear on the Nurses’ Ball stage again.  However, Dr. O brought with her a friend, none other than Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) who joined Frau Liesl in a rendition of the Barbra Streisand/Barry Gibb duet “Guilty”.   The combo, obviously a play on how they do bad things to others (or have), and they have nothing to feel guilty about!  Then, there was that drop the mic moment, literally!

Cameron (William Lipton) has shown up at the Corinthos’ home to give Josslyn (Eden McCoy) a video message from Oscar (Garren Stitt) that he was holding on to per Oscar’s dying request to give to Joss.  Before he leaves, she asks Cameron to stay and watch it with her, but he tells her she should do this alone.  Later, Josslyn watches the video on her laptop.  Contained in the video is Oscar saying how grateful he was for their time together and that he hopes she will lives life to the fullest, starting with singing their song at the Nurses’ Ball.   Next, Josslyn comes down the stairs of the house in her gown ready to honor Oscar and she heads out to the ball.

When Joss arrives, Cameron is now taking the stage.  William Lipton performs a song he wrote called “North Star” against the backdrop of emotional images of the friendship between Cameron, Josslyn, and the late Oscar.  (You can watch it below.  It was one of the highlights of the ball thus far)

Lipton took to his Twitter account after the outpouring of kudos and support after his performance aired expressing: “Thank you so much for all your kind words for the song Cam was singing at The spotlight should be at the GH writers who inspired me to write this song. Their words in the script were so beautiful.”

Ava Jerome also took to the stage as the marvelous Maura West performed “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” as only Ava J. would do! A sultry chanteuse is this Port Charles bad girl, whose night may go from a cool performance to a nightmare now that a gloved figure has knocked out Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), which only leads to one conclusion .. serial killer Ryan is back.  Will Ava get her vengeance and kill the guy, or will someone else?

Elsewhere in story, Finn (Michael Easton) proposed to Anna (Finola Hughes) on-stage at the ball, and though it was a typical bumbling clumsy moment from Finn, it was all the same endearing, especially when Anna says “yes” to his proposal.  Later, the two spend some alone time where Finn explains why he chose the ring he did; harkening back to when she was blackmailing him in Europe (It was a Monaco blue sapphire he chose, and Monaco was the place where they started their unlikely pairing).

Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) tries to warn Sam (Kelly Monaco) about Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin), but her parents Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) come to her aid, and then Sonny once again threatens Shiloh.  Later, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) gets a call from Diane Miller that Nina (Michelle Stafford) overhears.  On the call, Willow mentions her baby’s father is in Port Charles.  Nina learns Willow had a baby, and Shiloh looks at Willow.

Laura (Genie Francis) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) are rescued in Canada, and Laura calls Kevin’s cellphone but it goes to voice message to warn him about Ryan heading to Port Charles.   Meanwhile, Curtis calls Chase (Josh Swickard) and tells him that Ryan Chamberlain is alive. and on his way to most probably the Nurses’ Ball.

So, what musical number did you enjoy the most on Tuesday’s Nurses’ Ball?  What did you think of Anna and Finn getting engaged?  Shiloh overhearing the news about Willow?  Josslyn receiving the video message from Oscar to perform at the ball? Comment below.

GH Nurses’ Ball 2019 Part Two: Cameron and the Llama, Anna’s Speech, Chase Dazzles

On Monday’s episode of General Hospital, it was day two of the annual Nurses’ Ball, and things kicked-off with the opening number by the GH nursing staff, (except Elizabeth) performing the classic hit “Best of My Love” by the Emotions.   After the number, the drama started to unfold as the GH Nurses’ Ball always intersects storylines with the event.

Scott’s (Kin Shriner) plan goes awry when he opens Lucy’s (Lynn Herring) hotel room door hoping to find her making out with Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), but only Kevin is there, as Ava (Maura West) figures out what Scott has been up to.  Kevin and Ava are continuing their ruse to try to lure Ryan out of hiding, but seem to be enjoying each others company more than they admit.

When Mike (Max Gail)  and Yvonne (Janet Hubert) arrive. they show off the engagement ring that Mike gave to Yvonne, which Finn (Michael Easton) sees and realizes that is his engagement ring to Anna (Finola Hughes) that he has been looking for.  Finn talks to Sonny (Maurice Benard) and they come up with an emergency plan to get the ring back, which goes off without hitch by Finn giving Mike the fake one Robert (Tristan Rogers) had.

Watching the ball at home, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) is with Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth), and Kris flips out when she sees Sam (Kelly Monaco) with Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) at the festivities.  Meanwhile, Peter (Wes Ramsey) lowers the boom on Shiloh telling him that Molly (Haley Pullos) will be doing an expose on “Dawn of Day”.  At the same time Jason (Steve Burton) and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) hatch their own plot to nab Shiloh, and are setting up surveillance cameras at DOD.

Backstage, Cameron (William Lipton), who is ready to perform solo finds Lucy’s llama. and in the most touching moment of the episode has a heart-to-heart with the animal about losing Oscar.  William Lipton throughout the episode was terrific.

Now we come to Anna and Robert.  Anna wants to set her ex straight by telling him that she will always love him, but she wants to marry Finn, and she doesn’t know what he is up to … but to stop it – since it appears Robert is trying to be the interloper in Anna’s romance with Finn.  Later, Finn tells Robert he has his ring back and will propose to Anna

Next, after a rousing intro by Lucy, Chase (Josh Swickard) performs “Something Just Like This” by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay and brings the house down and brings his gal, Willow (Katelyn MacMullan) to the stage with him to dance and finish the musical number.

As the episode comes to its conclusion, three plot points emerge:  Kristina shows up at the ball ready to confront Shiloh, as Sam looks horrified.

Cameron shows up to the Corinthos’ home to talk to Josslyn and convince her to come to the ball with him and perform, because the song is a duet, and he says to her that he has a message from Oscar to give her.

Lastly, Robin could not make it to the Nurses’ Ball this year. The annual moving speech falls to her mother, Anna to deliver about surviving and living with HIV (touchingly delivered by Finola Hughes).  Robert says he will join her on stage, because Robin is his daughter too.  From the sidelines, Robert and Finn start to watch Anna’s emotional speech,  Robert finally tells Finn he better make Anna happy. but knocks him in the arm in the process.  Finn drops the engagement ring and it ends up at Anna’s feet onstage.  She looks to the sidelines and sees both men.  Can she figure out who just proposed?

So, what was your favorite moment from the second installment of the GH Nurses’ Ball 2019? Comment below.
