I am completely saddened to read and watch this! I love Ryan’s work and his character Nathan West! For me it is about legacy, and having married Frisco and Felicia’s daughter Maxie makes it extremely hard because I like to have family members of P.C.’s most important families in town. I’m really sad to see Nathan go. I know nobody can ever replace him but why do that to make (Kristine storms) she doesn’t deserve that at all! Very sad…

It is a good send off, but I hate to see him off the show. The characters are great together. Lots of tissues the next few days. I do wish Ryan the best of luck in his future endeavors and hope to see him in more Hallmark movies, etc.

Ryan Paevey is a good guy. He has grown as an actor most definitely. I know it was his decision to leave but Frank Valentini is not really focused on saving actors such as Ryan. Ryan’s acting has improved over the past six months. I am going to miss Naxie. I don’t want Nathan to die. Maybe TPTB will put him in a coma for at least a year.

Nathan’s exit today was rather meh. You could see it coming from a mile away with everyone going in to see him and tell him how much they loved him. And jeez — the show couldn’t afford to have Mac and Felicia there for their daughter?

On a side note, no matter how grave Faison’s injuries why weren’t there guards outside his room? Oh yeah, because then Jason couldn’t just walk in. Hey — I think I’m starting to get the hang of this “don’t ask logical questions when you watch GH” thing…

It was a five-hankie day, certainly. An exceptional, emotionally charged episode of General Hospital. Ryan Paevey, to me, comes across as exceptionally kind, genuine, sweet, funny-and such a fine specimen of a man. Much as I love Ryan, as Nathan, they should not have killed Nathan. Love the character and Ryan has done a wonderful job. But they should have had Nathan go on assignment, go get FBI training, WSB training, witness protection, whatever something instead of his. Sad to see him go, but why kill him off? The odds are good the actor will eventually return and we have to sit through the same old storyline explaining how, why, and if the actor is playing the same character…which by the way usually lasts for months. I’m not really torn up about this. Nathan was never one of my favourite characters, and while Ryan’s acting has improved slightly since he first joined GH, he was still very stiff and awkward, and failed to bring the character to life for me. This entire last year did absolutely no service to the character, with the ridiculous and very annoying Ask Man Landers story. Hopefully this means we won’t see Amy ever again, since she only seems to be on screen whenever Nathan is involved. This is a very bad idea on General Hospital writers. They need to regroup and rewrite the scripts. At times these writers and producers can come up with some dumb plots. WE ALL LOVE NATHAN WEST, can you somehow resurrect Officer Nathan West??? I know you can, so put on your thinking caps and start thinking of a way.

Guess I’ve been so caught up with school, did not notice things like Maxie’s parents not being there. Just a mention from Bobbie. Yeah, shame on show for not having them there. But the cast looked genuinely sad, I thought they were all vieing for Emmy’s, I can believe their tears may have been for real. It’s hard to say goodbye to a coworker you admire, even when it means better things for the person.

First…I have a total crush on Ryan Paevey. LOL; me and almost anyone who’s ever laid eyes on him. I “fell” for him the same time Maxi did…when he first walked into her apartment a few years ago. I have been watching soaps for most of my life. Most of the time I can predict what is going to happen. Example, I guessed who Hendric was about 2 weeks before it was revealed. Additionally, I hope they do not make Maxi lose the baby. And once Phason is gone, either by death, jail or escape then Frank Valentini can bring back Genie Frances. The exits will free up the money needed to pay her salary. I believe she is gone to free up the money to pay the actor who plays Phason. When he is gone and the departure of Nathan West that will free up the MONEY!!!

I’m very saddened by this. I liked Nathan and Maxie together, the friendship between those two, Dante and Lulu, and his relationship with Dr. O, Nina and Amy. It will definitely leave a hole on the canvas.

Of course, it’s even more jarring because of the debacle with Genie being disrespected.

I am Very Sad to see Ryan leave the show. I wish he hadn’t died right in front of Maxi. I understand he wants to move on to bigger things but he could have left in a way to make it possible for him to return. Maxi hasn’t had the best of luck with men, and now this.
