Sarah Michelle Gellar's Series RINGER is Canceled by the CW!

We know this will not sit well with many of our soapers, who have posted at On-Air On-Soaps how much they love and enjoy the CW soapy drama, Ringer, starring former All My Children alum, Sarah Michelle Gellar.  And while word on the street was that the CW might be the fence if the series would get picked-up for another season, a final decision was handed down today that sealed its fate.

According to,  “Despite considerable publicity thanks to the return of Sarah Michelle Gellar to TV, Ringer fell steadily after its premiere and averaged only 1.8 million viewers and a 0.8 rating for the season.  The show’s cancellation was expected.”

So while Ringer and Secret Circle bit the dust at the CW, Hart of Dixie, Gossip Girl and Nikita all got their renewals! So what do you think of the cancellation of Ringer?   Let us know!

I still can not believe they canceled this show an The Secret Circle! I saw the list of Canceled shows so far it’s like everything on TV. Soon nothing good would be on… Maybe if they did not take shows off the air for weeks/months they would have viewers. I hope another network picks them up soon…

Here is what I don’t understand GG gets about 600,000 viewers why did they bother bringing it back for even just 10 episodes? Why did Nikita which averages a 0.6 score a renewal over The Secret Circle which averaged a 0.9?

Both Ringer and The Secret Circle were doing good ratings wise until the month (or was it two month?) long breaks. To be honest I’ll probably just start watching cable shows now speaking of which TNT picked up Cougar Town maybe GCB or Secret Circle can get picked up by a cable network.

Very sad to see that Ringer was cancelled!!! 🙁 Looked forward to it every week. Very disappointed that Awake and Alcatraz were not renewed as well. I really liked all of these shows!!!

I’m also disappointed that alcatraz was not renewed, there was a lot of story telling that could have gone on for seasons ,I don’t think fox gave it a fair chance. It was a very interesting show. also there are only 2 episodes left of house, there goes my mondays nothing left for me to watch.

I had heard it was on the chopping block and now it’s confirmed…..
so sad ,I looked forward to Ringer every week. 🙁

I have to admit I gave up on this one 3/4 of the way through the season.

Ringer was a great show! How sad that it was cancelled

Glad Hart of Dixie was renewed, but sad about the cancellation of TSC! It was getting good after a few slow, predictable stories. Nikita should have ended instead. As for GG, it has been so boring lately, but hopefully shorter season 6 (the last season) will be better.

BIG MISTAKE BY THE CW! “Ringer” was their best series ever, plus their best series in the 2011-12 TV season. They really screwed this one up. Their worst decision since becoming a network.

Hope another station picks up the series.

I don’t understand why cw would let a great show like Ringer , secert circle are cancelled . these were good shows, and I hope that another network will pick them up. I remember when the hit show Jag was taken off after one season and then it was picked up by another network and it lasted ten seasons. What were you thinking CW?

I don’t really know if these comments are read, but if CW will not renew Ringer, I would hope another network picks it up. This drama definitely needs a second season as anyone who has been following the series knows it left us in a cliffhanger that needs to be continued. Hoping to see the return of Sarah and Ringer! Please don’t disappoint your fans.

We need movies like RINGER ….There are to mannnny reality shows on TV .I HATE Reality shows they are just a waste of TV air time .PLEASE BRING BACK RINGER.Was waiting all summer for the fall time to watch Ringer!! OMG

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood to Visit ‘The Talk’

Hot on the heels of this week’s shocking and controversial episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful, three-time Daytime Emmy-winner, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) is one of the guests on the upcoming Monday March 4th episode of The Talk.

Wood, has been at the epicenter of the storyline, which saw this past Monday that Steffy presumably stabbed and killed villainess Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) to her death. Following Sheila’s apparent demise, Steffy’s husband Finn (Tanner Novlan), who is the biological son of Sheila, finds out his wife stabbed his mother.

Instead of showing more concern for his wife almost being attacked by Sheila, Finn has shown his ‘inner-Sheila and can’t seem to get over the fact that Steffy ‘killed’ his birth mom, which is causing trouble in their marriage and as fans ultimately believe, will lead Finn into the arms of Hope (Annika Noelle).

Clearly, Jacqui will have plenty to ‘talk’ about with The Talk co-hosts: Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood.

In addition to Wood, The Talk will also welcome actor Scott Caan (son of the late James Caan) who will be on-hand to promote the premiere of his Fox series, Alert: Missing Persons Unit which begins its new season on Tuesday night, March 5th.

The Talk airs on CBS and streams live and on demand on Paramount+ weekdays at 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. PT.

So, are you rooting for Steffy in this one? Should she break-up with Finn? Will Sheila be revealed alive in a few months? Comment below.

Steve Burton’s ‘General Hospital’ Return Previews Jason Has Blood on His Hands

Monday, March 4th is the day that Steve Burton returns to General Hospital in the pivotal role of Jason Morgan. The story of Jason’s re-emergence on the canvas has been kept under wraps.

However, PEOPLE has a first-look photo, and in it, Jason has blood on his hand. Not only does he have crimson on him, but he is dressed in black and standing behind a dumpster.

When viewers last saw Jason it was back in November of 2021, when a tunnel collapsed on him as he was attempting to save his brother Drew (Cameron Mathison). For the past two plus years, every one in Port Charles has believed that Jason had died.

Burton’s initial run as Jason was from from 1991 till 2012. After exiting and signing on with Y&R to play Dylan McAcoy, the actor eventually returned to the daytime drama that was his home in 2017. Later, during the Covid-19 pandemic, he was let go from the series by the end of 2021 for not adhering to the Disney/ABC vaccine mandates at that time.

While away from GH, he rejoined the cast of Days of our Lives in 2023, resuming his original soap role of Harris Michaels that he played in 1988 and the year prior on the Peacock limited-series Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem Chapter Two. With the tape schedule well ahead of streaming, Burton will be doing double duty for a short term, where fans can catch him on DAYS, and now on GH.

Previously, Burton said on his upcoming GH storyline, “I got to talk to the head writers. This story is going to be sick. It’s gonna be awesome. So, make sure you keep watching, because the pieces of the puzzle are gonna be fit for when I return.”

Fans should also make sure to catch today’s Friday, March 1st episode of GH as Jason’s return story begins to unfold.

So, what do you think will be how Jason returns to GH starting next week on all-new episodes of GH? Comment below.
