Sean Blakemore Returns to General Hospital
Daytime Emmy winner, Sean Blakemore is heading back to Port Charles! News today has Blakemore being back at General Hospital in his role of Shawn Butler.
According to Soap Opera Digest, Blakemore had inked a deal with the ABC daytime drama series. No first airdate back has been given at this time.
With Shawn back on the canvas it could certainly stir things up romantically for his ex Jordan as well as reconnect him with his biological son ,TJ.
In story, Shawn was sent to Pentonville prison for a crime he did not commit; shooting Hayden Barnes.
Blakemore took home the Supporting Actor Daytime Emmy back in 2016.

Sounds like this return was a long-time in-the-making, as fans kept asking for Sean Blakemore to return as Shawn Butler. If I am being honest, I am indifferent to it.
this is great news, and while your at it, also bring back Hayden.
It is incredibly vexing that Hayden would just abandon her daughter and never come back. No one even mentions her anymore. I get her life was threatened with one of Nikolas’s idiotic ruses but by now, Hayden would have checked in to see if the coast is clear. Besides, she had great chemistry with Finn.

I agree with you completely. They are good at doing this type of thing as I mentioned about Sean Butler.Once the character is gone, it’s bye, bye until we need you again someday. Heyden’s been gone so long, I can barely remember the circumstances of her leaving. Hope things are well with you.
Well, it’s about time he got out of prison. Considering he didn’t even commit the crime he was accused of.
Now if I were writing this show, I would have Shawn get out of Pentonville, and not go to Port Charles immediately, but rather to visit some family members who own a bar in “Nixon Falls PA”.
Where he would unexpectedly run into his former boss, Sonny Corinthos…. who for some reason, doesn’t seem to remember him. Or anything else.
And Shawn can be the one who brings Sonny back home… since Nina clearly has no interest in doing so.

The Shawn guy- just getting out of prison will have no money to speak of.
Someone will need to care for him money-wise.
He will need shelter, clothing, work, food.
But it’s a soap– He could be a prisoner millionaire lol.
Shawn will most likely go into the bar business with Curtis.
Curtis and Shawn are far from friends. That would be quite a stretch.
The sooner the better as far as I’m concerned, S. Watching Sonny/Mike make eyes at Nina is making me nauseous.

Seems like there is some good reconnections coming in the near future. I love him in this role, though it will be interesting to see him interact with both Jordan and TJ since the actors portraying both of these characters have been recast since the last time that Shawn was on screen. And yes, it might be a good time for Hayden to return, especially since Finn and Liz have been sharing scenes of support for one another. Looking forward to this return:)
Also, I’m liking the pairing of Leisl Obreakt and Scottie Baldwin. They both loved Franco and may be instrumental in the return of Roger later this year.
I enjoyed watching Scott and Leisl. Also like them as a couple.
Oh Margherita, Liesl and Scotty — WOW! Who knew? I love them together and the actors seem to enjoy it also. I hope Liesl is instrumental in bringing down Peter Puke. Let’s just hope they don’t screw that up and make it all about Carly.

This is good news. Blakemore has great onscreen presence.
I agree, Drake. Sean had great chemistry with Carly, too, and was a good friend to Molly during her PTSD issues. Beating up Franco at Sonny’s behest…not so great but I’ll forgive him that infraction. While we’re bringing people back, please get Billy Miller back. I’d be willing to lose T.J., Jordan, Gladys, Martin, Charlotte, Brook Lyn….
Shawn’s return is pretty much a guarantee that TJ and Jordan aren’t going anywhere. Though he may not recognize them, as they both look a lot different than they did when he went to prison.
So excited to see him back. I hope he stays for good.

It’s about time. They just locked him up and threw away the key. He was innocent and no one even fought for his release. Where was Alexas? If they meet up before he leaves Pentonville, will she say anything of importance? They were together, if only for a short time.
I hated when Sean was nolonger on the show. I can’t tell you how good it is to see him back. I hope its for a while.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Josslyn is taken aback. Ava courts a new ally. Jordan and Anna catch up. Isaiah vents to Lucas and Elizabeth. Michael questions Jacinda.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80
Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.
PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
