Sean Kanan Returns to B&B as Deacon Sharpe, Shares: “See What Daytime’s Baddest Bad Boy Has In Store for the Forresters”

Photo: JPI

Over the last 24 hours fans of daytime have figured out that The Bold and the Beautiful is bringing back another of soap’s ultimate-villains, the one and only Deacon Sharpe, back into the mix.  With that move, there looks to be a potential partnership in the making between Deacon and another uber-villain, Sheila Carter!

On Wednesday, Sharpe’s portrayer, Sean Kanan, confirmed his return to the CBS daytime drama with a tweet that said:  “I’m baaaaack! Tune in tomorrow to @BandB_CBS and see what daytime’s baddest bad boy has in store for the Foresters. @KimberlinBrown #BoldandtheBeautiful #BoldandBeautiful #DeaconSharpe”

In story, Deacon has been in prison, and he has a rap sheet of crimes over the years a mile long. The last time he was in Los Angeles stirring up trouble was when he was arrested for trying to murder his ex, Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer).

Now the stage is set for some machinations which many think would lead Hope into the arms of Finn, after all, both want to know their bio-parents better! Hope (Annika Noelle) wants to know her father, and Finn (Tanner Novlan) his mother, while Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) remains defiant to keep Sheila out of their lives.

So, excited to see Sean back on B&B? Make sure to tune-in Thursday for his first appearance.

So many past popular characters popping back up here but over at sis soap y n r genoa citys about as exciting as a retirement community.
Can anyone anywhere slip josh griffith a sleeping pill like the one the viewers get to take when we watch his show!?

Deacon and Sheila are the only characters who can wake up this show. Love them both.

The fact that Sean tweeted @ Kimberlin Brown tells me that Deacon and Sheila will be stirring up trouble together. Can’t wait for this! Deacon is one of my favourite villains, and I’m excited they’re bringing him back after the way his story went in 2017. Now all we need is Amber Moore back in town and we’re in business!

Oh yes, Iam so ready to see this beloved character. Hope he can finally get rid of Quinn this time, especially after she threw him off a cliff.

I have missed seeing Sean on daytime. What’s more is that I was thinking about him the other day!! So glad he and Deacon are showing up in Los Angeles and that he’ll be opposite Kimberlin Brown’s Sheila. Let the hellraising begin!!!

So happy that he is back!

Great to see Sean Kanan back! I will always resent how his GH character (AJ) was killed off, with no repercussions for the killer. Kanan is a talented, appealing actor. Daytime is lucky to have him back!

As usual James, you and I agree. What could’ve been! What started out as such a strong return from the dead story disintegrated into petty jabs from “the writer”.

You don’t get a more integral legacy character than AJ. His return (and the aftermath of his final death) brought out the best in Chad Duell’s performance.

Happy to see Kanan back in daytime after winning an Emmy for his streaming series.

Thank you, Steve. Glad our record of agreement is cemented… Your further explanation, including Kanan’s Emmy win and Chad Duell’s performance, cements Kanan’s importance. In addition, AJ was a vital character in a legacy family who (character and actor) certainly deserved better. Got to go: about to redo the sidewalk with, uh, some hardening material. 🙂

So nice seeing Deacon back today and those sanctimonious Forresters right there like vultures. They make me sick.especially Brook with that whiney baby voice, trying to act so tough. I was glad to see Hope hold her ground against them all including Liam. I am afraid Deacon will get mixed up with Sheila as he did years ago with Quinn and look where that got him. He says he’s changed but can he stand up to those two bitches or will one of them draw him into her web.

Violet…YOU ARE SO RIGHT ON!!!!! Also, Brooke is nothing but a dried-up-looking BIMBO!!!!! Oh…and don’t get me started on that CAVEMAN/HE-MAN Ridge…lol. DEACON ROCKS!!!!!

Have a good one, Violet.

OMG, Donna isn’t too bad, but then again she isn’t around much, she’s usually taking care of Hope’s kids. Those other two, wow,! I can’t stand Quinn until Brooke gets in her face and then I want to see her beat the crap out of Brooke, and Ridge is not Ridge anymore. I wonder if Ronn Moss ever watches and wonders what happened to his character?

Lisa Rinna Would Be Down to Reprise Her Role of Taylor McBride in ‘Melrose Place’ Reboot

When Lisa Rinna departed her popular role of Billie Reed on Days of our Lives back in 1995, her next major role would be a jump to primetime and the soapy Melrose Place.

In 1996, Lisa was introduced as new character Taylor McBride and stayed with the Fox young adult sudser for three seasons. Now in 2024, with the recent reveal that a Melrose Place revival is the works with Heather Locklear, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton all on board to reprise their signature roles, would Rinna board the project should it come to fruition?

Speaking with PEOPLE, Rinna expressed, “Well, gosh, I’ve heard about it. I haven’t been approached or anything, but I would love to see what Taylor McBride is up to 25 years later. Wouldn’t that be something?”

Photo: FOX

OG Melrose Place fans know that in story, Taylor moved to the Melrose Place apartment building with her husband Kyle played by Rob Estes. However, Taylor had her eye on Dr. Peter Burns played by former GH star Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco). But, by the time she had moved to the apartment complex, Peter had married tough as nails ad executive, Amanda Woodward, played by Heather Locklear.

Recalling her time on Melrose Place, Rinna added that it, “was one of my greatest and most fun acting experiences, playing Taylor and working with Heather and the whole crew.”  Rinna also noted, “So if they need a Taylor McBride appearance, they know who to call. I’m around.”

The new Melrose Place is in development at CBS Studios. In the premise of the reboot, the Melrose Place residents reunite after the death of one of their friends, “but the pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”

So, would you want to see Lisa Rinna reprise her Melrose Place role as Taylor McBride? Comment below.

Sean Kanan’s Stepdaughter, Juliet Vega, to Appear on The Bold and the Beautiful

Coming up on this Friday’s April 26th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Juliet Vega, the stepdaughter to Sean Kanan will make an appearance on the CBS daytime drama series in the role of Michele.

Keeping it “All in the Family”, the character is named after Juliet’s real-life mother, and Kanan’s wife, writer and producer, Michele Kanan.

Back in 2012, Sean married Michele Vega and thus began their blended family which included his daughter, Simone, and Michelle’s children, Peter, Gigi, and her twins, Annie and Juliet.

According to a B&B show spokesperson, Juliet’s B&B character is intentionally named Michele in honor of her mother and Sean’s wife.

While we don’t know how “Michele” shows up in story, it is the same episode that Clint Howard makes an appearance as well seemingly tied to the case of where in the world is Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)?

We can’t imagine that Juliet wouldn’t get the opportunity to mix it up on-screen with her stepdad, Sean Kanan. Previously, the two acted together in Sean’s streaming series Studio City, where she played the role of Delilah and he played soap actor, Sam Stevens. In it, Delilah is the bio-daughter Sam never knew he had.

So, looking forward to seeing Juliet on B&B and how ‘Michele’ turns up in the story? Comment below.
