Stacy Haiduk On DAYS Exit: “Let’s Not Write Kristen DiMera Off Quite Yet! Is Anyone Really Gone in Salem?”

Over the last 24 hours, fans of NBC’s Days of our Lives saw various reports and one in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, that Stacy Haiduk is exiting her role of Kristen DiMera.

In answer to the outcry and reports, Haiduk took to her Instagram account on Thursday and shared the following message to all of her fans:  “So yesterday you all read that I was leaving Day’s!!! But Let’s not write Kristen Dimera off quite yet! Is anyone really gone in Salem. After all I am the Phoenix.  This heartfelt journey of Kristen, Brady and baby Rachel has been so amazing! These two characters have worked so hard this past year to be together! From the pages of the writers to us actors, I am truly blessed and grateful to all you fans who came on this journey! I love your support and your enthusiasm! Thank you so much!! Love & Light! xoxo”

Currently, Haiduk is front and center in an emotional story as Kristen is trying to get her baby girl Rachel back, now that she has been kidnapped by Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), and in addition when vowing revenge on Victor (John Aniston) for his part in switching her baby with Sarah’s, she stabbed him.  Kristen is in hot water with the law while longing to be a mother to her baby.

Since DAYS tapes so far in advance, anything is possible with returns to the show as viewers have seen before, especially when you least expect it.

So, what do you think of Stacy’s statement? What do you hope happens for Kristen in the coming weeks? Comment below.

I hope she isn’t leaving.

Of course she’ll be back. It’s Kristen. She’s the mean, mean, mean DiMera even if they softened her character.

She made Kristen my favorite. Honestly this saddens me beyond belief! No disrespect for Linsey Godfrey but I’d so much rather see Sarah leave. Like leave and come back later a changed woman. Less whining and more SpunkFitness maybe! Why do they get rid of the good ones? First Adrienne now Kristen! So mad!

Same here no disrespect to Linsey but Sarah is a pain in the butt.Always as to have things her way or she acts like a little baby.I know it isnt her fault it is what she is given.Still i dont like Sarah.Your are right they always seem to get rid of the good ones.Did they say why Stacy is leaving. That is ashame.I hope they dont replace her.

If anyone likes Linsey you can see her on a couple of Lifetime movies.

Totally agree with you!

I think that Sarah acts like she never does anything wrong.Well she is doing wrong now.I feel sorry for her because she was lied to about the babyI would be upset to but there is no reason to kidnap the baby. Then put a gag over Philips mouth that is not acceptable.I understand how she feels I would feel the same way but I know better to take the baby and run.I know it is the story written for her and like i said it isnt her fault then again she needs to bring back the baby,I dont know maybe a different actress would be better.Who knows.funny thing in a Lifetime movie she was in, her baby was kidnapped.SHe wasnt bad at all in that. She is not a bad actress .As Sarah though i dont know she looks like she is reading the script.I never saw her before Days.I wonder now if Sarah will get a mental illness, belive me there is nothing wrong with that.Cause i have five of them.If she would stop acting like a big baby then maybe things would be different. There are thing sometimes the writer rights make no sense to me at all.Sara needs to grow up.

Cool
But it was hard watching Stacy in her scenes.
Some roles should never be recast. On Days, Marlena, Hope , Patch etc. They are iconic. Stacys version was fill in. Do it right and quick and bend over backward to accomodate Eileen to come back to the role even for an intense short term shooting schedule.Eric M and Eileens chemistry was hot, hell even Greg Vs and her.
Eileens Kristen is worth it!!!.
No one can ever be Kristen except Eileen.

I respectfully disagree with you! She made this role her own. I actually prefer her as Kristen now!

Kristen either goes to prison or on the run with the baby…then sarah will try to get close to Brady…they will fall in love and plan to get married then kristen returns!!!

Oh Good Gawd! Please no Sarah and Brady!

lol

Both Brady and Eric seem to have the same personality now and just being consumed with themselves and self pity with a touch of entitlement has lost its appeal.

^^^^ @Phillip : get it !!!! Yes…. thru – “ALL” – the insanity…. I have watched very little… argh!!!! I am so done with GH. @DAYS .. I am trying to watch… what has kept me wanting ???? Stacey Haiduk, thee Man Eric Martsolf. these two have rung me up

I have long posted that I’ve always thought Stacey Haiduk OWNS her take and REELS Kristen.
the dynamics, chemistry with Martsolf !!! hey… this is sexual, passionate, endearing, and YOU want the love to take… the angst the heartache, the loss of Rachel… oh this was painful !!!!! but no !!!!! TA DA.. we are back, united, and it’s so beautiful, loving, touching, it’s DAYS BEST STUFF. so to even think of this story NOT PLAYING OUT.. it smarts, dumbstruck, AND a HUGE LOSS.

heck…

right out of the gate

Kristen and Brady
Sarah and Xander
Nicole and Eric

are top shelf

this doesn’t even count Chad and Abs

watching the writers flesh out Stacey Haiduk , and give Kristen “heart” “feel” “touch” and to watch her move weave interplay with the denizen @Salem. She’s the go to.

I LOVE STACEY Haiduk

I have yet to watch her reunion with Rachel… but i’m going to CRY. heart release the DAMn

have I told you Eric Martsolf is a helluva sexy dance

this doesn’t even include MEGa Ben AND Cierra… GOD talk about

i’m not the age you want… desired

but I know sex

“WE All Do…’ ”

I still like Matthew Ashford’ tingle with Jenn
Victor AND Maggie… always
John and Marlena – deservedly so
in and of themselve’ Kayla; Justin; Stephan/Patch; Tony

this 8/9 month “wait” does have it’s MIXED

“Days; thank you god” I got Kristen; Brady; Rachel

whew! this was much to do

Oh no I really liked Stacy at first I didnt think anyone could replace Eileen but I liked her the minute I saw her,SHe played her very well.To be honest I dont miss Eileen at all like I thought I would. No offense Eileen because I like you to.However I have grown to really like Stacy.ANyway everyone stay safe and well.

I think Stacey is better in the role then Eileen! Stacey has much more Depth.

Kristen will be back with her daughter.

I don’t mind seeing her go. I never liked the character of Kristen, but did like the actresses portraying her. I preferred Eileen as Kirsten and Stacy as Patty. She was more sympathetic as Patty but did a good job as Kristen. I could never buy into her “I am a changed person” routine though. Maybe having this baby softened her some, but I will never accept a complete change. Although I won’t miss her,I would have rather that Lindsey Godfrey/Sarah was leaving. She gets on my very last nerve, as actress and character. I didn’t mind her too much on B&B but on here she’s obnoxious and grating. I never saw another Sarah so maybe that is how tptb like her played.

So glad she is gone. Never liked her as Kristen and will never accept her. However, I know she will be back from the sounds of it.

So dam upset with days….. They keep some actresses that they should not and they keep keeping the character of Kristen on and off!!!!!! Kristen should be a strong women head of Demira enterprises like the young and restless does and is proven very successful!
I will not watch again until Kristen comes back for good!

Stacy is a tour de force. I will miss her on Days.

Honestly all the leaving then returning is just becoming more a publicity stint. Its really kind of annoying
