Following the 46th annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony on Sunday night at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, in Pasadena California, nominees from the CBS Daytime line-up joined up with their castmates and executives at the CBS Daytime Emmy Awards After-Party held right next to the auditorium.

Doing it up as only CBS Daytime can do, partygoers posed for pics, share some food, drink, and some dance moves. This was also the first time that Y&R’s new Adam Newman, Mark Grossman was seen mingling with his co-stars.

Check out our gallery below of some of your favorites who celebrated a job well-done.  After all, Y&R took home the big three: Drama, Writing and Directing for a Drama Series during the Emmy ceremony.  Then, let us know what was your favorite pic … and what you hope happens for your favorite characters coming up on Y&R and B&B in the comment section below.

Su!!!!! Buddy!!! For the first time ever in history…I agree with your entire post!!! Both Sharon’s look Awesome for their age…but New Adam looks like a recast Noah!! Lol. Oh well…soap ages are subjective at best. I hope the storyline is good as I was never an Adam fan until Justin Hartley. And…you did NOT make one deragoratory comment about the GH writing!! Thank you! You really need to get over that!! Lol. And…you implied that Rey should leave as he is expendable. Yes and yes!! Thank you for the kindler and gentler Su! I knew you had it in… Read more »

And- Rey has out-lived his purpose and soon he will be gone; he just doesn’t fit in.

Waiting for Adam- so far Sharon just doesn’t seem right with his youngness..

su000, you’re knocking it out of the park today! Despite all that went down (or was alleged to have gone down), I will always miss Michael Muhney as Adam — whatever he did (or didn’t do), he was spectacular and made everyone else look good! As Kay points out here, Sharon Case has “chemistry with the phone book.” But so did Muhney! Nothing against the new actor playing Adam, but the age difference is, as you imply, striking! Case is stunningly beautiful, so I imagine even young pups would find her appealing. But this has “cougar” written all over it.… Read more »

Sharon Case & Mark Grossman look ridiculous together! And they were married!?!?!
He is WAAAAY to young to play Adam!
Sharon looks like his MOMMY!.
I know Adam is younger than Victoria & Nicolas, but not THAT much younger.

Nick was 16 when Adam was born I am not sure why JG went this route but he did but they needed to acknowledge the past when JH was playing Adam he and Case maybe shared two scenes together. I do not think he will end up with Sharon this is just to tell the history he was involved with Sharon married to her long before the con artist/rapist Chelsea. Oh I forget her past is never brought up only Sharon’s! MCE is closer only five years older so everybody can relax and if you can’t I did not hear… Read more »

Kay, agree with you about Sharon Case. However, I find her dull with Rey. He might afford viewers with nice eye candy, but this actor is wooden and lifeless. I much preferred his brother Arturo.

I bitched about Peter Bergen and that 29 year old all the time. They were ridiculous together too!

Hello Kay! I just want to say you’re also knocking it out of the park today! I definitely agree with you regarding the kind words for Sharon Case as well as absurdities pertaining to age differences of romantic pairs. I fondly remember OLTL, but it seemed that as Robert S. Woods (Beau Buchanan) got older and older, his love interests got younger and younger. Perhaps Y&R was/is following suit…

Well just call the nu/Adam / Benjamin Button and everybody will be able to deal with it. The problem with him being cast with a younger actor is all the past history etc. in truth however Nick and Sharon use to change his diapers. Only a soap opera . Good looking devil !

He did research the character and watched all three actors portrayals I am willing to give it a chance I am sure he and Sharon are not in for the long haul but I do not want her ever in Nicks presence again he can have Phyllis

Sorry Kay,
As I am very partial to Nick, despite his hound dog actions lately, I can’t stand him with either Phyllis, they bring out his worst qualities.

Just read something a little crazy on another site. An idea that the shooting was planned and set up by Adam and an accomplice. Very interesting if true. Money was not taken, no vital organs injured, he’s making a quick recovery, but mostly scaring the hell out of daddy so as to grant his every wish. Sounds like something Adam would do. Oh, and the best part is the convenient return of his memory.

48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards: Photo Gallery and Acceptance Speeches

Last night on the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on CBS and streamed on Paramount+, viewers watched a hybrid-broadcast for the annual kudofest as the world is coming out of the coronavirus pandemic.

While the acceptance speeches, and presenters were pre-taped along with the previously seen red carpet footage, no one knew who the winners were till last night, because all of the nominees taped a speech.  The virtual ceremony combined remote presentations and remembrances, with host, Sheryl Underwood presiding over the ceremony on a soundstage and introducing presenters to the stage, as well.

Photo: NATAS/CBS

Adam Sharp, President & CEO, NATAS said of the event on Friday night: “We honor the Daytime community for helping us find our way through the turbulence of the pandemic, increased racial unrest and the chaos of the presidential election as America faced one of its most trying years in our history. This evening celebrated not only the best programming and performances of this year but reflected on some of Daytime’s biggest icons that have left an indelible mark on our medium.”

Streaming service Netflix was actually the evening’s big overall winner with seven Emmys. NATAS had called this production and event a “transition” event after shooting much of it on a set, as they look to bring back the live event feel for next year, since the broadcast had already received a two-year commitment from CBS.

While the late Alex Trebek and Larry King were remembered and also won awards posthumously, Regis Philbin was also honored by his longtime co-host, Kathy Lee Gifford.  Then, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Diamond White (Paris) performed a song during the In-Memoriam segment.

You can check out some of the acceptance speeches from Daytime Drama winners: Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy, B&B) Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH), Max Gail (Ex-Mike, GH), Marla Adams (Ex-Dina, Y&R), and Frank Valentini (EP, GH) below our photo gallery of some of the backstage moments that were captured during portions of the pre-taped ceremony.

DAYS Ben & Ciara Wed: What Did You Think of the Nuptials & Its Explosive Aftermath? (PHOTOS)

On Wednesday and Thursday, Days of our Lives delivered the Cin wedding as Ben Weston (Rob Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) finally tied-the-knots, and of course, like a juicy, soapy nuptial in Salem, it came with: bumps in the road, a gorgeous ceremony featuring heartfelt vows and … an explosion that rocked the church and detoured the young couple’s happiness.

DAYS rolled out the red carpet for this one complete with many extras, a huge church gathering, quite the wedding dress for Victoria Konefal to wear, and emotional performances by the on-screen bride and groom.

Shortly after Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) pronounced the two, husband and wife, and as Ben is waiting for his bride to begin their lives as newlyweds together, … as she approaches him in the vestibule of the church, a bomb goes off, and Ben is caught in the explosion.

Watch some of the images from the ‘Photo Album’ of Ben and Ciara’s wedding below.

Then, let us know via the comment section below, what you thought of the Cin nuptials? Did you love them? Are you upset about the explosion? And the big question.. who is responsible for planting a bomb in the church? Share your thoughts and theories.
